Legend of Fei

Episode 33

Yes! We don't care about pride.

Incompetence embarrasses our boss the most.

It's better to ignore our pride.

Uncle, we've bumped into a shameless man.

What should we do?

Hongyu is warning us. Li Yan is in danger.

Do you agree, old man?

Wait a second. Why are there so many busybodies?

Brother, there're snakes on the floor!

Snakes! -Run!

Just wait!

Retreat!

You! Physician of Venom! Ying Hecong! Just wait!

Leave now. -Move.

Lady, this is my best horse.

Can it climb the snow mountain? -No problem.

It's fit and strong.

You can't find a horse as good as this in the entire town.

Ask around if you don't believe me.

Fine. I'm running out of time. I'll take it.

Go. Have a safe trip, lady!

I've completed the task.

The horse looks fine,...

...but it can't withstand coldness.

They won't reach the snow mountain.

"Lu Tiankuang, Wen Ox of Disha"

"Lanruo Temple"

"Lanruo Temple"

I don't need you. Just take your own path.

Leave me now. Get lost!

How can you say this to us? We took risk to save you.

Go.

Go.

Elder, I know you don't want to get us into trouble,...

...but it's too late for us to part at this time.

Disha is blaming it on us.

So, take a rest.

I don't care where you plan to go next.

Your wound must be treated if you want to live.

Otherwise, we could just find a place to bury you.

Snake charmer, have you ever driven a patient mad?

Don't worry. I still have an unfinished task.

I won't be driven mad,...

...but if you also...

...come for this secret,...

...I advise you...

...to stop wasting your time.

Forget it. We prefer not to know the secret...

...that leads others to hunt you down.

Trust us, uncle.

All we want is to save the people hunted by Disha.

Ask him if you don't believe in me.

Snake charmer, don't you bear a grudge against Disha?

Are their enemies our friends?

Yes, if I can live to take my revenge.

I might be killed in the trouble...

...stirred up by this elderly man.

I think there's no one here. -No one?

Who locked the door then? -Step aside. I'll break it open.

Yes, Yang Jin. You finally get to use your hatchet.

Go. -I'll hack you!

Who are you?

Come out. They aren't bad people.

Don't be frightened. Come out.

Master, judging from the hoofprint on the ground,...

...they've taken this way. -Go after them!

I've dressed your wound and stopped the bleeding.

Why are you...

...hiding in this broken temple?

We're classmates. We studied at an academy in our hometown.

There was a war. Everyone in the hometown had fled.

We've lost our parents.

Fortunately, we bumped into a kind teacher...

...who brought us along.

He said there was no war in the south.

He wanted to lead us there.

We happened to find this temple as a temporary shelter.

Where is that teacher?

He heard about Disha nearby. He just left to find out.

He might come back anytime soon.

Wait a second. You said there wasn't a war in the south.

Is Hou Jian dead? What about the Emperor...

...and Commander-in-Chief Huang?

Who is Hou Jian?

Who is Commander-in-Chief Huang?

I heard it from the teacher.

Hou Jian seems to be a rebel of the previous dynasty.

However, he died more than 20 years ago.

Are you asking about him, uncle?

You're dying. Are you insane?

You said...

...Hou Jian of the previous dynasty is dead.

Who is the Emperor in the south?

What is wrong with you, uncle?

Emperor Xuan is currently the emperor.

Who is that? Where is the Emperor?

What about Commander-in-Chief Huang Shenbian?

Huang Shenbian?

My uncle mentioned him,...

...but Huang Shenbian is dead for more than 20 years ago.

He painstakingly served the Emperor...

...and protected him with his life,...

...but now he is gone?

The Xiao family is gone.

The Emperor is gone.

No wonder.

Uncle, did you fall...

...and damage your brain?

Let's leave. Disha will catch up following the hoofprint.

It'll be too late unless we leave now.

Uncle, your wound is dressed. Let's leave.

We can't. There're so many children here. Can they leave?

If Disha discovers us,...

...they'll know we take this way. If they can't find us,...

...they'll give these children a hard time.

Disha comes for us. They won't give these children a hard time.

The world would be peaceful if they're as simple-minded as you.

Uncle, we'll try to hold them...

...if they break in later.

You and the children shall take the chance to flee.

Girl, why do you care about me...

...when you don't even know who I am?

There's no need to fight them with your life...

...for a stranger.

48 Strongholds have been fighting them for several times.

48 Strongholds?

You.....

How are you related to Li Zheng?

Do you know my grandfather, too?

Uncle.

We risked our lives to save you. Now you know who we are.

You should tell us who you are now.

I'm Liu Youliang, who is unknown to the world of martial.

I'm just a tomb guardian.

Would Disha appoint Tong Tianyang to get a tomb guardian?

What if...

...the tomb contains a treasure that allows one to rule the world?

Treasure?

Treasure?

Come here, girl.

No.

You have yet to answer our question, uncle.

Who on earth are you?

Why do you want to know so badly?

It doesn't matter who I am.

What I'm guarding does.

I was a bodyguard of Commander-in-Chief Huang Shenbian.

When he was to subjugate Hou Jian's rebellion,...

...he transferred me out of the army to guard an item.

It's named Ocean Sky Bracelet.

Why is it Ocean Sky Bracelet again?

Yes, your grandfather was one of the guardians.

I suppose you've heard the name before.

The governor said he would appoint someone with Shuibo Mark...

...after subjugating the rebellion...

...and then I would help to retrieve the bracelet.

Unexpectedly,...

...I waited for more than 20 years.

20 years?

Were you alone in the past 20 years, uncle?

Yes, I was alone.

No.

I'm not sure...

...if I'm a human or a ghost.

All right. I've transferred the Qi.

With this tonic,...

...he is safe for the time being.

Brother Tongming, how long can the tonic stay effective?

I suppose for a month at most.

"Peng Lai Immortal Chen Junfu"

Even you would need more than a month to get the Fire Lotus,...

...let alone that girl.

I trust her.

What should we do about Anzhi...

...if she can't come back after a month?

It's the destiny of the girl and Anzhi.

The Triple Decoction can keep him alive...

...and trigger the last bit of his vitality...

...so that he won't silently turn into...

...a cold body,...

...but every dose consumes a flame.

If there's no antidote after we feed him with three doses.....

Why do you want to use it then?

It relies on his internal energy to resist the Piercing Green.

He'll be cureless once he gets weak.

It's useless even if we can retrieve Apothecary King Record.

Do you have any clue to the record?

Lin and I found nothing even after travelling...

...in Central Plains for years.

Great Apothecary Valley has long been eliminated...

...with no heir.

The record...

...could've been burned in the great fire...

...at the valley.

Let's go.

Let's go!

Come on!

Fine. Since you don't want to go,...

...wait here.

Fellow friend.

Did you see a lady carrying a saber on her back?

Yes.

Did she go that way? -Yes.

She's the most stubborn lady I've ever seen.

Do you know her? It's dangerous over there.

There was a snowstorm, right?

Right.

How do you know? Are you a local?

There will be an avalanche afterwards.

That girl comes at the right time.

You know there is snowstorm. Do you want to die?

Would a wolf on a snow mountain fear an avalanche?

Are you...

...Snow Wolf,...

....the legendary child who grew up in a wolf's den.

Snow Wolf is back!

Snow Wolf is back!

At first, I had been writing letters...

...to Master Chongxiaozi.

However, he never told me...

...that it's a new reign.

I suppose...

...he didn't want me to leave the mountain after knowing it.

What is Ocean Sky?

Why are so many people sacrificed to protect it?

The saddest thing is...

...I don't know what it is...

...even after guarding it for more than 20 years.

I don't even know whom I should...

...hand it to.

Life.

Forget it.

I haven't heard...

...from the master for days.

You can't imagine how I felt.

It's too quiet.

There're only wandering ghosts and wind.

I couldn't help but leave the mountain.

I wanted to ask about the master.

Master Chongxiaozi.

I heard it from my brother. He knows the master.

Once we get out of trouble, I'll tell him to bring you to him.

I'm afraid it'll be too late.

I learned that Shuibo Mark has re-emerged once I left.

What Commander-in-Chief Huang had spent great effort to hide...

...was discussed at the Extermination Meeting.

That's ridiculous.

I planned to attend the meeting...

...and find out what's going on.

Unexpectedly,...

...I was targeted by an old acquaintance...

...from the palace.

It's also drawn Disha's attention.

Are you referring to Chu Tianyu?

You know a lot.

He was killed by my cousin and the snake charmer.

So I know.

Something is wrong. They're coming.

Take this, girl.

What is this, uncle?

Memorise it.

What is the part that's stained in red?

Memorise the poem at the back.

Poem?

I'm ordered to guard the bracelet. Other than me,...

...no one else knows where it is located.

Now I'm passing the secret to you.

Memorise the map...

...so that the bracelet won't disappear forever...

...and waste the effort...

...of a generation.

"I remember you went to Wuzhou. Dusk in the mountains.

Send stones to Jiangbei. Pluck Zizhi in the mountain."

Children, you mustn't come out...

...no matter what happens.

"Lanruo Temple"

Tell your men to make way and let them go.

Otherwise, I'll tear the map.

All right. Relax.

I'll let them go so long as you obey us...

...and put the map on my hand.

You mustn't hand it to him, uncle.

We can't leave if you do. -Shut up.

Do you think...

...you have a choice?

Keep your promise. -You.....

You mustn't give him, uncle. -Don't worry.

At last, I've found what the boss wants.

Why is there a poem?

Run!

Uncle!

Run! -Uncle!

Let's go! -Uncle!

Let's go!

Let's go! -Uncle!

Hurry! -Let's go!

Why?

What have you done? Why did you burn it?

The more you want to know,...

...the more I won't tell you.

It's been almost 10 days. Haven't we heard from that lady?

If she's fast, she'd have reached the foot of the mountain.

Be calm.

He was well,...

...but he came back in this state.

If I knew this would happen, I wouldn't have entrusted Anzhi...

...to Wang Lin.

It's his idea to travel out.

Neither you, Wang Lin nor I...

...could change his mind.

Anzhi was brought to the island...

...after the rebellion.

The four of us had never brought up a child.

We were fumbling and our lives revolved around him.

He was only this tall when he stood for the first time.

When he grew older,...

...he fooled the four of us around.

If I am not mistaken,...

...he was only this tall when Wang Lin...

...came to the island.

Yes, he was this tall, reaching my waist.

Yes.

We had a rare argument for three days and nights.

You and Lin refused to let him leave.

I remember it well.

For sure we'd refuse.

We knew Wang Lin wanted to restore the previous dynasty.

Later, you and his master uncle told me...

...that he'd live forever as a villager...

...on Peng Lai if I didn't let him leave.

He'd think the world...

...was merely the size of that island.

Lin loved him the most.

It's also Lin who thought he should leave.

He said only when Anzhi had seen the mountains and oceans...

...that Anzhi could make a choice between leaving and staying.

Is this where he belongs at the end of the way?

The kid, who cares about the world,...

...will not...

...end his life in Peng Lai...

...with us.

It's his choice...

...and destiny.

Moreover, if he didn't leave,...

...he wouldn't have encountered...

...the person who would take the risk...

...to gather the herb on the snow mountain.

A'Fei.

Watch out, A'Fei!

A'Fei.

I met that girl.

She is loving and righteous. Anzhi, you have a good eye.

If Master Tongming is right,...

...the Fire Lotus is at the peak.

I must make it.

He can't wait for next time.

It's been a long while, pretty girl.

I lost you before I could talk to you...

...after Extermination Meeting.

Why did you leave...

...in a hurry?

Don't bother.

Well done for killing that Disha's hound,...

...but you must have also taken Shendu Seal,...

...which he took from me.

Should I have kept it to play with you?

It belonged to Brother Huo. Why did you take the seal?

Could the successor of the Southern Saber...

...have believed in Huo Liantao's nonsense...

...and set her sights on that treasure?

Master Vermillion, it does us no good...

...if we fight at this time.

Why don't we make a deal?

Let me pluck the Fire Lotus.

I'll take three hits from you without fighting back.

How funny. Why do I need...

...a girl to spare me?

Don't think I'll spare you for your beauty.

The lotus has nine flowers and blooms once in every 10 years.

It's the best time to pluck it when the nine flowers are ripe.

Would you want to wait for another 10 years?

Don't touch the lotus!

Exchange it with Shendu Seal.

Who are you? How dare you come for the seal, too.

Don't you want it, too, Master Vermilion?

Why don't we work jointly and take it from her?

Listen, no one can beat me,...

...Lu Tiankuang, on the snow mountain.

Lu Tiankuang, Snow Wolf of Disha. How are you doing?

How funny. What happens after you obtain the seal?

Would you break it into two?

Disha disgusts me.

Fire Lotus!

A'Fei.

A'Fei.

When I don't see you for a day, it feels like three years.

Why have you landed yourself in this state?

Have you regained consciousness?

Is this real?

Are you a bear? Why do you wear thick clothes?

I'd have been frozen to death in this cold weather if I didn't.

Right, where is the Fire Lotus?

I.....

I've failed to find it.

A'Fei.

A'Fei.

Anzhi.

What did he say?

Amitabha.

It's a pity that...

...he loves her deeply, but they can't be together.

A'Fei. -Anzhi.

A'Fei. -Anzhi.

Since it's destiny, it is beyond our ability.

I only wish you well.

I've once said...

...I'll go to every corner...

...in the world...

...where an ordinary person can set foot on.

Silly girl. Is it worth it...

...to go through this?

Enough. Stop finding the Fire Lotus.

Hurry back.

It is worth it.

You grabbed your saber as soon as you woke up.

Would you want another fight?

Don't worry. Kindness and hatred are clearly distinguished for me.

We overcame difficulty together. I won't take advantage of you.

What is this? -Dried rat with musk.

I turned my leftover into dried meat.

You should be glad to have some meat nowadays.

Even if you have the energy to fight me without eating it,...

...you can't withstand the coming storm.

Do you have more?

You think fast.

I have to survive.

You climbed the mountain alone...

...and risked your life for that lotus.

Why are you suddenly embracing life?

I can't die yet.

Someone is waiting for me.

I think you're addicted to saving lives.

Do others' lives matter more than yours?

How rude.

They don't matter more than my life.

However.....

Have you ever had the feeling...

...that you would do anything...

...so that the person can continue to talk to you?

Why did you help me just now?

I think you're adept.

You must have practised many years for it.

It'd have been a waste to die just like that...

...on this mountain.

Others in the world want me dead.

I'm afraid you're the one and only person...

...who would grieve for my death.

In fact, you're the first capable opponent that I met.

I like your singing.

Really? Shall I sing a phrase for you?

I might cry.

This is the former location of Qimen branch.

That's all. You may go back.

Brother Li, why don't you bring us along?

We can look after one another.

The forest is designed based on Qimen Dunjia formation.

Outsiders will get lost in the forest.

It's initially designed to prevent outsiders from entering.

Although I'm the master's friend,...

...it's rude to intrude the forest...

...and bring outsiders along.

You may wait at the foot of the mountain.

Noted.

"Forbidden Forest"

Are you still alive, Chongxiaozi?

Do you want to trick me...

...even after you die?

It's this big formation again.

My father forced me to memorise this formation...

...when I was young.

Why can't I remember it?

Three solid lines.

Six broken parts.

Upward something.

What is it?

Three solid lines.

Six broken parts.

Upward.....

Upward facing spitoon.

Upward facing spitoon.

"Forbidden Forest"

Upward facing spitoon.

I'm out.

Congratulations.....

Congratulation, boss.

Congratulations.

Congratulations, you've...

...achieved a new level.

Didn't you see the map?

Yes, boss.

It's just a glance.

There're a few lines of words.

It's quite neat.

It seemed like a poem. -What's the poem?

I think...

...a few words were written on it.

"Birds", "lady", "martial arts",...

..."stones" or something.

What else is there? -Enough!

What else was on the map? -There's......

I think there're...

...a few items drawn. -What were they?

It's...

...a gold bracelet.

Right, boss, the one on 48 Strongholds.

There's a longevity lock.

A scabbard...

...and a seal.

Yes, a seal.

Wait, boss.

What else is there? -There's...

...a fly-whisk.

Right, boss. A very old fly-whisk.

A fly-whisk.

Chongxiaozi...

...was indeed involved.

Inform Gu Tianxian to keep an eye on Chongxiaozi.

Noted.

Brother, I know you're trying to give me...

...a chance to redeem myself.

Leave. Think...

...about what else was on the map.

Draw them all. Leave!

Draw?

I'll draw.
