Legend of Fei

Episode 17

Why are you nervous? Aren't you a hunter?

You hurt me. You have strong grip.

You're strong. -Master.

There're about 8 visible traps within 100 steps ahead.

As for invisible.....

See? I didn't lie.

Take the alternative route with no delay.

You said this is the shortest route to Hengyang.

Stupid.

Let's go.

Little brother.

See you.

Come out, Miss Wu!

Thanks for helping me with your life.

Does the wound hurt?

No, it doesn't.

Miss Wu.

General.

Who are you? -General.

He saved me from Disha.

Disha?

Thanks for helping. May I know your name?

You're welcome.

Where is your family, Miss Wu?

Why are you escorting her alone?

Are you aware? -Don't worry, general.

He certainly knows our situation as he knows who I am.

I suppose we're on the same side.

I want to thank him for saving me with his life.

I'll return your sword.

You're welcome. It's my duty anyway.

I come from 48 Strongholds.

We're once entrusted to receive your family...

...so I can recognise you from the portrait...

...that I had seen before departure.

I see. Do you know Fei?

Yes. It seems that you met her before.

Where is she and others from 48 Strongholds?

It's a long story. She is in Hengyang.

She entrusted general to escort me to Master Gan Tang.

Master Gan Tang?

Do you want to seek my uncle, Zhou Yitang?

So you're Fei's cousin. -Yes.

If so,...

...you're nephew of Mistress Li of 48 Strongholds...

...and grandchild of Li Zheng. -Yes.

What a coincidence. Mr. Li,...

...I'm Wen Yu, Master Gan Tang's assistant.

General Feiqing, Wen Yu.

General Wen, Gu Tianxian...

...of Disha just appeared nearby.

We should leave now to avoid trouble.

Did Gu Tianxian appear? -Yes, I saw their tablet.

Disha comes for an unknown reason.

Mr. Li, please come with me to the camp...

...and report this to Master Gan Tang.

I can't, General Wen.

I heard they're heading to Hengyang.

They might do something bad in the city.

I think you should immediately report this to my uncle...

...and let them prepare in advance.

How about you?

It's not far from 48 Strongholds.

I could bring Miss Wu along and get back soon.

You're descendant of General Wu and nephew of Master Gan Tang.

I couldn't put you to dangerous situation.

General Wen, do the people of Hengyang matter more...

...or our personal safety?

General Wen, Mr. Li is right.

We can't spare Disha a chance.

If Hengyang is their target,...

...the people will be in the most dangerous situation.

Moreover, Fei is still in that city.

If so, hurry to 48 Strongholds.

You must be careful along the trip.

Here, Miss Wu.

Thank you, general.

I'll take leave. Take care.

Let's go, Miss Wu.

"Hengyang"

Brother Xie, where are we?

Fei, we've just arrived in Hengyang.

Hang on a little while.

Sir, I'll leave...

...if you need nothing else. -Wait. Well,...

...did you hear any opera performance in the city lately?

Opera? No.

Why don't you think again?

Did you hear it from anyone?

Speaking of, I've recalled one.

A few guests mentioned it several days ago.

They mentioned of an opera troupe.

The troupe is originated from Hengyang,...

...but they always travel elsewhere.

Even so, they're very well known.

You can't watch their performance...

...unless you're an officer or an aristocrat.

Did you hear about where they are?

Well, I'm just a worker.

I won't hear about that.

All right. Help me find out.

I'll double the pay if you could make it.

Sure, thank you.

Fei, are you okay? Do you want to have some food?

Or do you want to sleep a while?

Why do you want to find that opera troupe?

Only Madam Ni Chang of Yuyi Troupe...

...can treat your internal wound.

Do you bring me here despite all the troubles...

...merely because she is the only person who can save me?

All right. Don't worry.

I'm not. It's you who will look for her anyway.

I guess Yun is wondering...

...why an enigmatic person...

...would save you.

The name is so vulgar. Stop using that.

You're angry. That means you aren't really worried.

Don't forget that I'm the famous Qiansui You.

I'll meet them later.

How are you related to the head of Yuyi Troupe?

How can you be sure...

...that she would help me, an unrelated person?

It will take some effort,...

...but I won't be harmed by a troupe lady.

I think so.

Yun is worried that I might...

...present myself to the troupe ladies for you?

Go now and return the name...

...to its owner.

You're still so ferocious.

Fine. I'll find her now.

Fei.

Fei, are you okay?

I'm fine. Go ahead.

Okay.

Wait me. I'll be right back.

Wait.

I can't enter like this.

"Chunsheng Rouge"

This is the Qiansui You that they recognise.

Mr. Wang.

Mr. Qiansui You.

May I know if you have a new song?

I'm still collecting songs...

...at the same old price.

I haven't composed one.

Just wait a few more days. I'll come again...

...and I won't break the rules.

Why do you come today?

Yuyi Troupe has returned to Hengyang. Where are they?

They aren't in Hengyang. Go and seek somewhere else.

Go now. -Mr. Wang!

Stop seeking. Leave. -Mr. Wang!

Mr. Wang!

Master.

Have you heard anything from Master Qiu?

They're on the way. We're keeping in touch.

You can be rest assured. -Good.

Waiter, have you prepared the rooms upstairs?

It's still in progress. They'll be ready soon.

By the way, is there any opera performance in Hengyang lately?

Opera? Why are there people asking the same question lately?

There is an opera troupe that has recently returned to Hengyang,...

...but no one knows where they are.

Hold on.

What else could I do for you?

You said there're people asking the same question.

Who else asked about the opera troupe except us?

No one else.

I'll tell.

Sister Ling Yu.

There is no blood stain on him.

He was strangled to death.

Who dares to harm our member?

Disha has entered and stirred up trouble in the city.

We've lost 2 spies...

...hence we're ordered by master...

...to keep an eye on the remaining spies.

Didn't I tell you to stay on guard?

He entered his room after quenching and replacing water.

We didn't take it into account at first.

When we realised something isn't right...

...and rushed to the back alley.....

Where is the Yuling Tablet? -It's gone.

Hurry and report this to master.

I can trust you on this, right?

Come back to me after burying the body.

Noted.

"Chunsheng Rouge"

Mr. Wang.

Mr. Wang.

Mr. Wang!

Mr. Wang!

"Ling Bo of Yuyi Troupe" Lingbo!

Sister Ling Yu. -Didn't I tell you...

...to keep an eye on the rouge shop?

No way. Something bad has happened. Let's go.

Strange. Why is the door opened?

Sister Ling Yu.

It's me. I've caused his death.

It isn't the time for this.

He died in the same way as Li did...

...and their Yuling Tablets are gone.

Why are you here?

I came to submit a new song.

Qiansui You.

To my surprise, I was knocked out as soon as I entered.

My hands and legs are tied when I wake up.

Did you see who that person is?

No.

Release me.

Wait. Keep his hands tied, but release his legs.

Why?

Come with me to meet madam at Qiaoyun House.

Bring him.

Hurry! -Lady, how far do we need to walk?

Don't rush. We'll arrive after a few junctions.

I can't walk anymore.

Qiansui You, what new song have you composed?

A story at the battlefield.

Have you brought it? Show it to me.

At my waist. Please take it by yourself.

There is nothing. -Nothing?

Why it isn't here? It's impossible.

It's a new song.

I haven't made a copy yet.

Could I have dropped it at the shop?

Shall I go to retrieve it with you?

Well.....

It's a waste of time.

How about this? I'll give madam a summary...

...and see if she likes it.

You aren't worried about your new song anymore.

Go back, Qiansui You.

You aren't an old man at all.

You're in disguise. -You're hurting me!

I.....

I come to make a living.

If you're right, that person wouldn't have spared your life...

...so Mr. Wang was died when you arrived.

You pretended you're hiding at a corner,...

...waiting for us to discover you...

...so that we could lead you to Yuyi Troupe.

Tell us what you're up to.

Don't you think I've killed him?

Firstly, you're madam's old friend.

I can't think of your motive to kill.

Secondly, I checked your pulse.

You have no inner energy.

You can't beat Mr. Wang.

Tell us what you're trying to do.

Since you're from Yuyi Troupe,...

...I'll be frank with you.

A friend of mine is seriously ill.

How is it related to Yuyi Troupe?

Only madam's Floating Hand can save her life.

Why should we save her?

I have something that madam wants.

Hand it over. I'll pass it to madam.

You can't enter Yuyi Troupe today.

I'll still pass a message even when you have nothing to give.

Let's go, Ling Bo.

Lady.

Ling Bo. -He'll be fine, Sister Ling Yu.

I'm just worried that he could follow us in secret.

If so, take it as a punishment from Yuyi Troupe.

Stop following us, Qiansui You.

Floral cloth! Take a look!

Floral cloth! Take a look!

"Qiaoyun House"

Qiaoyun House.

Thanks to you. The drug can't harm me.

But you mustn't cause trouble at this critical moment.

Qiansui You? -Yes.

We can't bother him.

Although we discover Disha ahead,...

...we've lost 4 spies.

It seems that they come for us.

We'll inspect guests who enter...

...with a Yuling Tablet these days.

I suppose...

...they do that to signal...

...their arrival.

Master.

Have you gotten news about the opera troupe?

Master.

We've killed 4 spies of them and obtained 3 Yuling Tablets.

We've also captured a few scouts of them,...

...but..... -They all have died?

They refused to tell and committed suicide.

I've failed the task. Please punish me.

A lady performer...

...can however earn such a loyalty.

She's certainly Madam Ni Chang.

If I guess it right,...

...it is the style...

...of Shen Tianshu, the head of Disha.

Master, why don't we cancel the performance today?

I'm worried..... -That's unnecessary.

We'll open and receive our guests.

Yes, master.

I won't blame you for being beaten by her.

Thank you, master.

But we've lost the clue. How should we find them?

Hengyang is a big city.

It's harder to find her...

...once she is alerted.

Flower. -No, thanks.

Look, flower.

Fei.

Fei, why do you get up?

I want to wait for you.

Don't worry. I won't die.

All right. I'll bring you to Madam Ni Chang now.

Master, shall we act now?

Keep an eye on them. Watch where they go.

Don't alert them. -Noted.

"Qiaoyun House"

It's okay if I'm alone.

Fei can't take the trouble.

I'll find if there is another way to enter.

"Gathering of Fortune"

Do you have an invitation letter? -Invitation letter?

Yes.

It's here when I came out.

I've lost it. -You can't enter without it.

I have it, sister. I could've dropped it on my way here.

I'm an old friend of your madam. Please report to her.

We acknowledge only the letter, but not people.

It's really urgent. Please report to her.

Please leave.

Madam! -Stop making noise! It's useless!

It's an urgent request, madam! -Don't shout!

Madam!

Senior.

What is going on? -He wants to break in...

...without an invitation letter. -I have one. Don't spout nonsense.

I dropped it on my way here.

I'm an old friend of your madam. Please let us in.

We acknowledge only the letter, but not people.

Madam! -Stop it!

Fine! Stop making a scene.

We have performance today. Stop shouting.

Come in with me. -Thank you.

You may wait below the stage and come when madam calls.

Lady, how long will madam sing?

What is the hurry? Don't you see it hasn't finished? Just wait.

Fei.

Madam!

My sister and I are hunted down by Disha.

Gentlemen, Disha has arrived here. Please go to hide.

Hunted down by Disha? -Disha. It's a great deal.

Madam.

"Madam Ni Chang of Yuyi Troupe"

Thanks for supporting.

We'll call it a day.

Please have a safe trip.

Let's go. How disappointing.

Come with me, mister.

Madam, I was forced to startle...

...your guests. Please forgive me.

I wouldn't have spared you so easily...

...if not for new songs in the future.

Do you agree, Qiansui You?

You certainly have a pair of keen eyes.

I really come for a life-threatening matter.

My sister has received Qi of Wither Bloom.

She can't regulate it with other energies in her.

Only your Floating Hand can save her.

You must have been confused.

Why should I save an unrelated person?

I would pay any price so long as you would save her.

Any price?

I'm afraid she isn't your sister.

You turn out to be an affectionate man.

Fine. I'll be frank.

I won't save her no matter what.

See them off.

Please.

Madam, she is the successor of the Southern Sabre.

Successor of the Southern Sabre?

Answer me, lady.

How is Li Zheng related to you?

How is Li Zheng related to you?

Fei.

He is my grandfather.

You'll consume half of your energy if you want to save her.

It's too dangerous. -Yes, master.

There is also Disha that wants to deal against us.

You shouldn't afford a loss. -Enough.

Send them to rest in a room. Hurry!

Please come with me.

Thank you, madam.

Successor of the Southern Sabre.

It gets a successor.

Thank you, lady.

I don't want to be here. Let's go.

I'm cold. -The Qi is getting stirred.

How do you feel? -Cold.

How is it? Is there any better?

Please come in.

My master can't save her.

Is this her will?

Lady, what are you doing?

Please spare us.

If master loses her energy for saving this lady,...

...what to do if Disha...

...comes to us?

Lady.

Get up now.

Lady.

I've brought so much trouble to you today.

I'm really sorry.

My illness...

...isn't a big deal.

I could recover after a few days of rest.

Thank you.

Fei.

Thank you, lady.

We should leave.

Fei, since madam will give it a thought,...

...she might want to save you.

Why don't we wait a little while?

You've seen it just now.

The ladies try to stop us many times.

I'm sure saving me will get...

...Madam Ni Chang in danger. Let's don't disturb them.

I know how you feel now.

I'll blame myself if anything happens to madam.

But you should know that wound can be recovered,...

...but there is nothing left...

...once you die.

Then..... -Whatever it is,...

...let's wait until we meet Madam Ni Chang.

Before that, give it a thought.

I'll respect your decision.

Lady, I have some fine herbs...

...usually used by madam.

If you wouldn't mind,...

...let Mr. Qiansui You come to collect with me.

Thank you, lady.

Take a rest. I'll be right back.

Please.

Please.

Sister Ling Yu let me bring these for you to choose.

This is all I can do.

I admire Lady Zhou's righteousness...

...as the successor of the Southern Sabre.

Hopefully, she could be safe.

Where is the wounded lady?

Bring her to me.

Master, think twice...

...for the safety of your own and Yuyi Troupe.

It's different.

Do you know who is the Southern Sabre...

...mentioned by Qiansui You?

I know. It's the renowned Mr. Li Zheng.

Do you know...

...that I would've died if he didn't...

...save my life?

Yuyi Troupe wouldn't have existed.

You wouldn't have been here.

But..... -Enough.

He saved me by the God's will.

I'm told to save his granddaughter by the God's will.

Very well.

Very well.

Ling Yu.

You're my first disciple and you meet my expectation.

You've always been the most sensible and obedient...

...disciple among all.

I know you're sad...

...and think for the sake of Yuyi Troupe.

But Ling Yu,...

...once you come to my age,...

...you wouldn't live...

...for...

...the life that could end of all the sudden.

You would live for the past.

You would live for that bit of memory.

Regardless of how tall and big a Chinese parasol tree,...

...it will wither in late autumn.

We would rather...

...fall and become mud than struggling in pain.

It depends on younger generations...

...such as you to shape the world.

Ling Yu, get up.

I want to ask you something.

Ling Yu, if without my protection,...

...could you take up...

...Yuyi Troup alone?

Master, I don't want you to do that.

Don't worry.

This is planned for the worst.

Come.

Go to the dark room and take out that pill.

Would you want to give that pill to Lady Zhou Fei?

She is ill due to chaotic Qi in her body.

The pill is useless on her.

Would you want to take it instead?

Although that pill could regulate and restore your energy...

...within a short period,...

...but you'll suffer from the opposite effect.

My master gave it to me.

I surely know better than you.

I know it isn't easy for madam,...

...but I can't help as Fei...

...is dying.

Fei, I've brought your herbs.

Fei.

What is the matter, mister?

Lady Zhou has gone missing. Did you see her?

Why has she gone missing? Isn't she waiting in the room?

She isn't in the room. I won't talk to you anymore.

Master! -What is the fuss about?

Lady Zhou has gone missing.

She is quite stubborn.

She has left by herself.

Her stubbornness is indeed the same like Li Zheng.

Master, they can't blame us if they leave...

...by themselves.

Go to seek that lady for Qiansui You in secret.

It is one thing to save her,...

...but another thing when she has gone missing at our place.

Noted.

She has left by herself.

Interesting.

Fei!

I'm here.

Why do you come here again?

Do you want to kill yourself so much?

There're people who die every day.

Your life might not matter,...

...but what should your family do if you die?

What should I do?

I just think...

...it's not necessary to give them a hard time.

Sorry. I was brought away by my emotion.

I shouldn't have shouted at you.

It's good that you're fine. Let's go.

I.....

Fei.

Madam. -How is she?

Get inside with me.

Madam Ni Chang.

You might need to treat her later.

Sorry for coming uninvited.

I've longed for...

...your music and dance.

How unfortunate.

You've come late.

If you want to enjoy it in the future,...

...I'll send Yuling Tablet to you in person.

No. I don't come too early nor late.

I come just at the right time.

I would like to ask you this.

Yuyi Troupe never offend Disha.

Why do you want to kill my spies?

Speaking of, I'm really impressed.

You have raised a pack of good dogs.

All of them refuse to speak.

They wouldn't have died if they could...

...tell where you are.

Fortunately,...

...I bumped into 2 who led the way.
