Legend of Fei

Episode 16

Remember that Northern Saber's Duanshui Skills...

...lingers and treacherous...

...but, within a certain radius.

It's okay, I'll stall them.

You're underestimating them too much.

They have better hearings than average people.

Whispering makes no difference than talking in front of them.

I can hear everything you said clearly.

You're still alive.

I'll hand you over to Dragon Lord, let's see how he deals with you.

Let's get rid of these two. -Wait.

Are you sure you want to fight? -What do you mean?

Think about it carefully, don't force me make a killer move.

Killer move?

I'm curious to how you're going to do it.

I showed mercy by blocking the entrance...

...because I didn't want you to seek death.

But, all of you seem to be eager to die.

Let's see if you dare say more if we cut off your tongue.

You only know some formation, right?

Actually, this formation can be finished in one blow.

This formation is based on the interactions of the five elements.

One will beat the gong to provoke an attack and show weakness.

Then, the other four will come forward.

The five of you will guard each other...

...by changing each other's positions thus it's endless.

So what? Many know of this formation.

But not many know how to break this formation, correct?

It's impossible for you to know how to break the formation.

The weakness is the gold element in the Qian Position.

If he's not stable, the other four will be affected.

You ungrateful rascal, you told them!

Why would I tell them? I'm not with them!

Moreover, they block my meridian and I can't even move!

Mr. Yin, it doesn't matter if we're together or not.

But, we can only work together now.

If we die, knowing Dragon Lord's temper,...

...after following him for a long time,...

...do you think he'll let you go? You'll still have to die.

Even if you know how to break the Gong Formation,...

...are you skilful enough?

Fine, bring it on. -Stand down!

Yes, my lord.

I've been waiting for you all night.

You're pretty bold. I can see your saber moves are from the south.

It looks very heavy.

It's not suitable for a beautiful young maiden like you.

I've given it a thought.

I think it's a pity to have you killed.

Listen, if you're willing to follow me,...

...I can forgive everything that you've done.

Really?

With me, you'll have a wealthy life...

...with servants to serve you all the time.

You can have anything you want and jewellery that you like.

It's at least better than looking shabby like this.

So, you'll forgive me...

...for killing your men and breaking your formation?

With this beautiful face of yours, yes.

Tell me your name.

I precisely like those with certain temper.

You're unbelievable for sending a girl to handle Dragon Lord.

Don't you know how despicable he is? A bunch of ignorant people.

Duanshui Silk Thread?

It has already come to this...

...and that helpless old man even taught you some moves.

Too bad, it won't work on me.

It's enough to deal with a trash like you.

You brat,...

...you tricked me with those two moves.

I remembered...

...the first time we fought.

You're just an amateur who bluff to escape.

It has only been a few hours, you really surprise me.

You're nothing to me.

I've changed my mind.

Gifted person like you must be killed.

I must stop you from practising martial arts.

After talking so much, this is the only nice thing you've said.

I don't need to practise more to kill you.

The arrogance!

Careful, he's wearing a close-fitting armour.

No wonder I can't cut him.

I thought he's invincible.

If it's not that armour, I would have taken his arm off.

What are you doing? -Help you.

How?

Block his attack.

Pretty boy, are you done watching the show?

There was a skilled craftsman in Penglai.

It's said he could turn rock into gold,...

...forged incredible weapons.

Other than that, there's Muyun Muslin,...

...which is said to be bright and non-flammable.

It shines like the moon in the dark.

It's light and one can be invincible when wearing it.

As far as I know, Yin Wenlan of the Shanchuan Sword...

...had this Muyun Muslin tailor-made for his wife.

Don't you find it tight when wearing it?

What exactly are you trying to say?

I'm just curious. Since you have what belongs to Yin Family's,...

...why aren't you the next master of Shanchuan Sword?

What else do you know?

There's nothing that I don't know.

Ocean Sky Bracelet.

Your gabbing is used to stall, not to seek death.

Dragon Lord,...

...we can talk nicely, no need to be hasty.

As for this Ocean Sky Bracelet, who's your enemy?

You can tell me and I won't tell anyone else.

You brat!

I knew he won't kill me.

What are you doing?

Miss Wu, please step aside so you won't get hurt.

Okay.

I thought you've crippled your skills.

You thought Northern Saber has gone,...

...is that why you're able to sleep comfortably at night?

Zheng Luosheng, you haven't made any progress in martial arts.

Looks like it's not without reason.

You're indeed the descendant of the Northern Saber.

You can still stand up after your skills being crippled.

That's great.

I've been wanting to know how great both sabers and swords are.

I guess you'll be obliging me today.

I haven't made any progress all these years.

Let's see how much improvement you've made.

I need to make one thing clear in advance.

The Yin Family and their servants died under your hands,...

...am I right?

It doesn't concern you whether I did it or not.

Yin Wenlan was a great master.

But more than 100 people from the Yin Family...

...was massacred in one night.

So, it does concern me.

Since it's made clear, I'll have no hesitation.

Ji Yunchen,...

...forget that you're now crippled,...

...even if you're not,...

...you may not defeat me.

It's no longer important...

...who's the winner or stronger any more.

What's important is I'm going to take your life.

I'd like to see what kind of wave...

...a cripple like you can make.

Master Yin, I know all you want to see is Dragon Lord's death.

You're indeed clever, Mr. Xie.

It's hard to predict who's going to win now.

Why don't we join forces?

His needle.....

We'll talk about that later.

I'm not telling you. -Can't you say anything new?

Release him.

Don't worry.

Since I agreed to join you, I won't go back on my words.

I thought it has to be ferocious.

Until now I realised the real ferocity...

...looks faint and flat, not exposing anything,...

...but, it's everywhere.

This is the real killing saber.

Master Ji has no time left. The needle's effect won't last long.

I get into fights is precisely because of you.

You even show your way here!

A'pei!

This Muyun Muslin doesn't suit you at all.

Brat!

Miss Zhou!

Mr. Ji.

Possessed by wandering soul and leave as one.

Soul-seeking Needle is also known as Revival Needle.

It's a secret custom outside of the Shanhaiguan Pass.

It's said to be able to regain lost power.

Be it deadly illness or critical injuries,...

...all can be covered.

But.....

The effect can only...

...lasts for three fourths of an hour.

Miss Zhou,...

...I'm contented...

...to be able to have a match with you...

...using Duanshui Silk Thread...

...before I die.

I no longer care about Northern and Southern Sabers.

I still remember...

...what Master Yin told me.

In the future, you'll have to face many difficulties.

I just don't want...

...younger generations like you die in my hands for no reason.

Mr. Ji.

A'pei,...

...I'm sorry.

I can only repay...

...this much to you.

Just go.

Is there really no way to save him?

Oh Heavens high.

I will love him forever...

...till I die.

The earth mingles with the sky. Not until then, will love die.

These scholars really like to show off their poetry skills.

It's no better than facing martial art experts and set up a sect.

Be it the top of the world...

...or the fame,...

...let everything...

...go with the wind.

Mr. Yin,...

...you've killed Dragon Lord and Master Ji is dead.

You've avenged your family. What about gratitude for love and care?

How would you repay him?

He's already dead, just as he wished.

Are you searching for Ocean Sky Bracelet too?

What I want to do is none of your concern.

This belongs to my family but it's tainted by Dragon Lord.

I don't want it any more. Take it.

If you don't like it, you can throw it away.

Mr. Yin! -Miss Chuchu,...

...just keep it for now.

It's a dangerous journey and you don't know martial arts.

It can protect you at critical times.

Keep it.

A great master like Mr. Ji can only remain anonymous...

...and not known by people.

He shocked the world when he first appears.

I'm fortunate to see the revival of Duanshui Silk Thread.

I will always remember...

...when he said a blade is used to do things and not for fame.

Here, I vow that...

...Duanshui Silk Thread will not be lost and live up to the blade.

Back then, he was heroic and live a free life.

It's a pity that he's now buried here.

Master Ji spent his life making up for his mistake.

No matter what, it's should be forgiven now.

I admire how you take responsibility.

I hope you'll achieve your ambitions and goals...

...in the next life.

Master Ji, we know...

...you're worried about Yin Pei the most.

I hope he'll understand your good intention soon...

...and return to the right path...

...so he can live up to the chivalrous name of the Yin Family.

Li Sheng, I'm curious about something.

Why did you learn double sword...

...instead of Poxue Skills like your predecessors?

All sect mingle around in 48 Strongholds.

I like running about when I was a kid.

I do and learn whatever I want.

Back then, I thought double sword might be better than single sword.

So, I learn Double Sword from Xiaoxiang Sect.

After that, I wanted to learn Southern Saber,...

...but, I didn't know how to tell my aunty.

That's why my swordsmanship isn't that great.

For you to be able to reflect is hard to come by.

Actually,...

...it doesn't matter if it's from your predecessor or sects.

You're Li Zheng's grandson but you don't have to learn his skills.

If you're a fisherman's son, you don't have to learn to fish.

You should ask yourself...

...the reason behind this.

Your swordsmanship is a little complicated and restricted.

It's because you have too many distracting thoughts.

Particularly Double Swords, you must be focused.

I hope you can learn the swordsmanship...

...I've taught you these days.

When did you teach me that? You only taught me some formation.

Everything in the world is of the same principle.

Generally, the formation is the swordsmanship...

...and the swordsmanship is the formation.

It depends how you understand it.

I'm leaving now. So, take care.

Master, let me accompany you more. -It's okay.

Then, where are you going after this?

I'll travel around.

Now that Qimen is gone,...

...then anywhere can be home.

We've been walking for hours.

It's hard for Chuchu to travel so far with us.

You're the one who's having it hard.

After facing Dragon Lord, you can still walk this far. Not bad.

Are you praising or insulting me?

Of course, I'm praising you.

Looks like I need to practise how to compliment people.

It depends of you give me the chance.

Sure, I'll give you a beating.

That was too hard.

Fei.

There's a deserted house. Let's rest there.

Okay, I'll clean up the deserted inn first.

Fei, I'm sorry.

For what?

Both of you are martial artists,...

...I hold you back by walking too slow.

It's okay, don't think too much.

Fei, are you okay?

I'm fine. I have it under control.

Is the Wither Bloom energy causing it? I'll let Mr. Xie know.

Don't, I've controlled it. Don't make him worry.

This way please, ladies.

You've done well. -Have a seat.

Please sit. -Move it to the back.

Okay.

Fei, don't act rashly if we meet rivals like Dragon Lord again.

Should I be a coward like you?

So, I've always been a coward to you.

I.....

Fei.

Old stone bridge covered with snow.

A man on long journey away who doesn't return.

Is this your new work?

Yes.

Coward's Order.

Did I say something wrong again?

You're not a coward.

Fei, you knew you couldn't beat Dragon Lord,...

...why did you promise Master Ji that you'll do it?

I just can't stand how proud they are...

...when they commit evil.

For what reasons that these scoundrels are proud of...

...the atrocities they've committed 20 years ago...

...while the dead become their proud banners.

It becomes a habit because people fear of voicing out.

My next new play will be about a deserter.

What's so interesting about a deserter?

What's interesting about heroes then? Why not talk about cowards?

Okay. One day, I'll strike the gong...

...and tell the world that Xie Yun is not a coward.

Thank you.

Continue with the story about the deserter.

I'd like to hear about it.

Before he ran away, he thought he's an upright hero...

...who could return home in glory and marries the woman he loves.

But he found out that the government doesn't need him...

...or treat him like a human at all.

He was just a living bait to lure the enemy.

His mission will be completed the moment he died.

So, he ran.

Anzhi, I've temporarily blocked the poison in your meridians...

...with all of my internal energy. -Uncle!

You won't be able to use martial arts after this.

But, live well on my behalf.

What happened to the soldier after that? Why are you distracted?

Nothing.

Too bad he didn't see the girl he loved when he returned home.

Why?

That girl was a Water Grass Spirit and left by riding a carp.

I have enough rest. I'm going to find some food.

Fei! -Fei!

Her pulse is not stable.

It must be the two energies raging.

What should we do?

Someone in Hengyang can save her.

But..... -But what? Tell me quickly.

She's always on the move so I'm not sure if she's there.

We must try no matter what.

Who's there?

Fei, if you can hear me, do me favour.

You can be saved if we can escape.

Your Majesty? Greetings, Your Majesty.

General Wen?

You really keep a close distance to me.

I've sent the troops back to camp while I stayed waiting for you.

I hope you're safe.

What's wrong with Miss Zhou?

It's a long story. It's a bad situation.

Your Majesty, return to the camp with me.

Miss Zhou's condition can't be treated by the military physician.

A master in Hengyang City can help.

General, goodbye for now.

But.....

Can you take the responsibility if anything happen to Miss Zhou?

General Wen, if you want to help, help her send Miss Wu...

...to Master Gan Tang's place.

Miss Wu, what do..... -I'll go with General Wen.

I'll leave Fei to you.

Your Majesty, don't worry.

You must be careful, Your Majesty.

Father, it hurts.

Fei, is it still painful?

Yes.

Where does it hurt?

Father, your back..... Why is your back hard?

Hold on a little longer, Fei.

Father,...

...why is your back hard today?

Fei, what are you saying?

Father, you've lost weight.

Your back is not as comfortable as before.

You should bear with it for now,...

...Yun.

It's you. I thought you were someone else.

What did you call me just now?

If I have a daughter, her pet name will be Yun.

Didn't someone take me as her father just now?

How are you still misbehaving when you're injured?

Where are we going now?

Hold on tight. We're reaching Hengyang, can you hold on?

Yes, move quicker.

"48 Strongholds"

Mistress Li, this is the fifth letter.

If Master Gan Tang doesn't reply again,...

...I fear.....

Mr. Ma, I need your favour.

Do tell.

I can't leave because of the complicated affairs here.

There's no news of Madam Wang after more than a month.

We don't even know if they've met General Wu's children.

The other elders haven't left the mountain for a long time...

...and situation outside is complicated.

After considering, I can only ask you to check the situation.

This is part of my responsibility.

About out secret service.....

Please tell.

We'll talk about that later. We must get those children back here.

Aunty! Li Sheng and Fei went down the mountain.

I'm all alone here, I'm not satisfied.

Just be frank.

Uncle Ma, look how pitiful I am. Everyone abandons me.

No one dares to do that. Everyone in 48 Strongholds...

...can't dote on you enough. They wouldn't dare.

Ma Jili, she's spoilt and behaving unreasonably.

Aunty,...

...let me follow Uncle Ma to find Li Sheng and Fei.

I miss them to death!

Why not I take Yan'er this time?

Yes!

Fine.

How many letter was sent already?

It's the fifth, My Lord.

The time between these letters are getting shorter.

Looks like Li Jinrong is losing her patience.

Our fish is swimming towards the net.

Tell Gu Tianxian to be prepared. -Yes, My Lord.

Meanwhile,...

...I'm going to visit an old friend...

...in Hengyang.

I'll reach 48 Strongholds after walking this path for a few days.

I wonder how aunty and the elders going to scold me.

My Lord!

My lord, we've been rushing for days. Why not rest here??

"Gu Tianxian of Disha Sect, Giant Panther"

No, we're running out of time.

They're still waiting for our news in Hengyang City.

This is a critical time.

Without me,...

...they won't succeed.

That's Disha Sect's uniform.

What are they doing around this area?

My Lord, I have an idea to use less time to travel.

Spill. -There's a shortcut to Hengyang.

If we use the shortcut, we'll save more time.

That's great. We'll rest here for a while then.

We'll take the shortcut after resting.

Yes, my lord.

Hengyang City? What on earth is Disha Sect planning to do?

Miss Wu, I apologise for making you travel on a rough road.

But, it's very safe here...

...as it's more hidden compared to the main road.

General, it's okay. Actually, we can move faster...

...so we don't delay the journey.

I wonder how's Fei doing. -Miss, don't worry.

Miss Zhou is definitely safe with His Majesty around.

That's a relief.

Miss, watch out.

What's wrong, general?

This is a trap set by the hunters.

Looks like...

...there are a lot of traps in this woods.

Miss, wait for me while I'll check the surroundings. I'll be back.

General, please be careful.

Are you General Wu's daughter?

Who are you?

Fei and I saw your portrait. I.....

I'll explain later. Disha Sect's men are behind me. You must hide.

Hurry!

This is a trap. -Trap?

Go that way.

Why are you saving me?

Listen, I can get out of this but they'll definitely recognise you.

We'd be done for if they found you.

I'll think of a way.

Hold my sword.

Be careful.

My Lord, there seems to be something ahead.

Go and take a look. -Yes, my lord.

My Lord, someone fell into a hunter's trap.

Did you see who's that? -A passer by in his 20's.

Pull him up. -Yes, my lord.

The hunters here are pretty ruthless.

Who are you?

My Lord, I'm a local hunter.

It hurts! -Hunter?

Why would a hunter fall into his own trap?

You're lying!

Tell me the truth!

All of you must be from elsewhere, right?

There are more than 100 hunters in our village.

There are at least more than 100 traps here.

We also don't know where traps a mile from home are laid.

More than 100 traps?

Both of you, go check it out.

Yes, my lord. -Yes, my lord.

Giant Panther? So, he's Gu Tianxian of Disha Sect.
