Legend of Fei

Episode 14

Let's take a rest here and go out after Dragon Lord and the army...

...have left. We could get away.

Get away?

Do you want to get away after offending Dragon Lord?

Stop dreaming.

Once you've offended him, he will chase after you...

...until he kills you.

It's funny if you want to get away from him...

...through this simple passage.

Isn't he your master? Wouldn't he want to save you?

He'll kill me first if he gets us.

I hear that others take disciples,...

...but Dragon Lord takes godsons and daughters.

That's why you're called as a young master.

I won't take that. It's abandonment of myself.

Didn't you hear anyone who calls his dog as "son"?

I had to crawl on the ground whenever I talked to him.

He even made...

...a mark on our body.

Do you have the mark?

Didn't you see the big mark just now?

You're so cruel to yourself.

Thank you, but I'm...

...the smartest and the most obedient.

I know how to play up to him the most.

So he always brings me along.

Old Dragon is too dumb.

He can't even lick his master's toe.

So he has no choice, but to play up to me.

So I brought him out...

...to get rid of this useless man.

Logically, it wouldn't have spent much of his effort.

Surprisingly, Northern Sabre is certainly capable.

He is surrounded by talents.

How amazing.

Old Dragon was killed.

Usually, I could be whipped...

...to redeem my offence,...

...but now,...

...a whip can't resolve the problem.

You'll be whipped.

Southern Sabre and Northern Sabre were known as 2 ultimate skills.

Southern Sabre, Li Zheng was in Huxiang.

Northern Sabre, Guan Feng was abroad.

Master Li had a large circle of friends.

He was known to the world after founding 48 Strongholds.

Compare to him, Elder Guan Feng was more reserved.

He was at least 10 years older than Master Li.

There're some rumours about him in early years,...

...but ever since the general's rebellion, he stayed abroad...

...and gradually became a legend.

I heard something about them from my mother, though.

Southern Sabre is piercingly cold.

It carries the force of north wind rolling snow.

Northern Sabre is similar to water.

It's known as Silk Thread. -That's astounding.

Not only that, he is cunning and shameless.

When I was young, I had just mastered the skill of sabre.

I bid farewell to my master and insisted that...

...I should go to the mainland.

My master tried to change my mind,...

...but I thought he is timid and old. I refused to listen.

Knowing that he can't stop me,...

...until we parted, he constantly gave his advice...

...and ordered me to think before I act.

He said,...

..."Yunchen,...

...the sabre in your hand...

...is as if a hoe in a farmer's hand...

...or abacus of an accountant.

Hoe and abacus are tools to work,...

...but not tools to conduct oneself.

You mustn't put the cart before the horse".

How can a sabre work the same like a hoe or an abacus?

I didn't understand either...

...so I didn't listen.

I thought that sabre is a sharp instrument.

If there are soul and spirit in the skill,...

...Silk Thread...

...is my every limb, soul and spirit.

It shouldn't be compared to dumb tools such as hoe and abacus.

After entering the mainland,...

...indeed,...

...I had soon gained false reputation...

...with the sabre in my hand.

I was so proud of myself.

I thought...

...I could establish a sect...

...and bring Northern Sabre back to the mortal world.

Within half a year,...

...I sent letters to challenge 7 capable practitioners...

...until.....

Northern Sabre Ji Yunchen has challenged 7 practitioners...

...as soon as he comes to mainland...

...and he wins every challenge. That's outstanding.

That's because he is yet to bump into Mr. Yin.

You know what? His master, Guan Feng fled the mainland...

...and stayed abroad for a few decades...

...only because he was defeated by Shanchuan Sword, Yin Wenlan.

Silk Thread is proven to be secondary.

Somehow, it was claimed to be equal...

...with Poxue Skills as Twin Sabres.

I think it's merely a rumour.

Where do you plan to go, Mr. Yan?

I haven't made my mind.

Please enjoy. -Come.

Yin Manor

Mister.

Please go back.

Yin Wenlan!

Yin Wenlan of Shanchuan Sword

You dare not accept the challenge?

Fine. I'll wait at your door for 3 days.

If you don't come out, I'll announce to the world...

...that Shanchuan Sword is no match for Northern Sabre.

Yin Wenlan!

My mother broke into Disha Manor with Duan Jiuniang...

...around my age to fight against 3 masters of Disha...

...while Duan Jiuniang had been known...

...for her Wither Palm in her 20s.

Even Mr. Ji shocked the world...

...as soon as he arrived in the mainland.

He had gained an idea of establishing a sect.

What about me?

What are you thinking?

I think my sabre...

...is really no difference from a hoe or an abacus.

Mr. Ji, what happened next?

What are you doing here?

A wild kid. Go away.

I'm not a wild kid.

I'm Shanchuan Sword, Yin Wenlan's son.

You're his son?

That's good. Get inside. Tell your father to come out.

No. -Why?

I sneak out. They tell me to read, but I don't want.

What do you want? -Play.

Fine. I'll bring you to play.

I'll bring you back afterward.

Quietly. No one should know. Let's go.

Guan Feng attacked Mr. Yin with his sabre.

They fought 300 rounds.

Gentlemen, what is the concept of 300 rounds?

That covers the sky with darkness and shakes the land and mountain.

Only shadow of sabre was seen.

He is Mr. Yin, indeed.

He is superb and peerless.

He beat Northern Sabre badly...

...with Shanchuan Sword.

Bravo!

Uncle, who is the Northern Sabre?

He was badly beaten by my father.

I really want to see him who had been defeated by my father.

Gentlemen, as soon as Guan Feng...

...heard the name of Mr. Yin.....

What are you doing?

What are you doing? I want to listen to the story.

He hid and shivered under a blanket.

I wouldn't have acted recklessly if I didn't listen...

...to the story.

Reckless?

So you kept his son as a hostage...

...and forced him to accept the challenge.

Shanchan Temple

Father.

Aren't you that child?

Master, we have a trouble.

I have your son, Yin Pei. If you want him to go home safely,...

...come to fight a duel with me at the rock near to the temple.

Bring my sword. -Noted.

My father could beat you badly...

...even if he fought you with wounds.

You're right.

I was no match for him.

Mr. Ji.

To force me to fight, you resorted to kidnapping my son.

I ought to avenge my master.

Today, I want to redress the Northern Sabre.

Only then I learned...

...that he had just chased Disha away...

...before my unreasonable challenge.

He was wounded.

He was forced to come with wounds.

He could've killed me...

...in the duel.

I would admit to whichever result today...

...or perhaps start over after 10 years.

However, you break your sword forcibly.

It's clearly an insult.

Mr. Ji.

It's your turn to go through winds and rains in the next few decades.

I just don't want to defeat later generations...

...like you for no reason.

Master!

The manor has been invaded! -What?

Luring my father out had given an advantage to the evil people.

My whole family had been exterminated.

More than 100 people in the family were killed.

Why are you still alive?

Why haven't you gone to hell?

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Father!

So his family had been exterminated...

...when you sent him home.

He had to see death of his family members despite his young age.

That's a great trauma.

Mr. Ji, rumours are as if droplets.

There're both sincere and misleading advices.

They get out of one's mouth and enter your ears.

You'll be unconsciously placed under others' control...

...once you take it to your heart.

Human's heart is sinister as if a deep gorge.

Others have schemes to plot against your sincerity.

You fell into the trap due to a moment of recklessness.

You shouldn't blame yourself too much.

You know nothing.

Do you know the taste of being exterminated?

Mr. Yin.

Every injustice has its perpetrator.

You've gone to the wrong person.

Do you think you've won when others don't blame you...

...and they pity you?

The real perpetrator could laugh at your stupidity.

Mr. Xie.

You don't need to stand up for me.

I'm wrong and I owe him.

I have nothing to deny it.

The man who raises me...

...is the man who has indirectly killed my whole family.

You accidentally learned that Ji Yunchen is related...

...to extermination of your family...

...hence you left home.

Then you happened to be adopted by Dragon Lord.

Gentlemen, it's about time. I'll see you out.

General. -How is it? Is there any trace?

His Majesty is as if a fish that has swum into the sea.

His Majesty is taking Lady Zhou and Miss Wu.

It's definitely easier to track them down.

Shall I go to search again?

Forget it. We can't stop where His Majesty wants to go.

Go back to the camp and report this to Master Gan Tang.

Noted.

Move.

Master, General Wen seems to have left the city and headed south.

Very well.

That leads to Mount Heng.

Let's go.

We're out.

Thanks for leading the way.

You're welcome. Where do you plan to go?

I'm just an idle man. I can go anywhere,...

...but where do you want to go after making a scene?

If you would, you may come with me to 48 Strongholds.

Are you inviting me?

Yes. Are you coming or not?

There is a problem with this man.

He is in trouble, but yet we can't kill him.

Should we just set him free?

You're so shamelessly boastful...

...as a descendent of the Southern Sabre.

You could've been no one if there wasn't your grandfather.

You're no match for Shanchuan Sword even when...

...you join hand with the Northern Sabre.

Stop talking. -Show me the Shanchuan skills.

Sure. Bring it on.

Fei, don't take your heart with him.

Don't worry. He might not know even half a skill.

Although I'm no better than my mother and grandfather,...

...I won't betray my ancestors and serve others as if a dog.

I'll tear you apart if you don't stop putting on airs.

Dragon Lord is coming.

You said General Wen is very reliable.

Why have they come after us so soon?

He must have ceased the fight against the evil...

...after I had gone missing.

He must have rushed to leave.

Why do you step on my foot? It isn't my fault.

Your face makes me mad.

You should hurry and come with me.

It's far off the road. I believe we've gotten away.

"Animal on the scene is created by computer graphics"

"Animal on the scene is created by computer graphics"

Others can't claim a dog with collar.

What do you mean?

We take a pill every day...

...hence we carry a scent undetected by humans...

...except that rat in his hand.

He can find me...

...even when I run to the end of the world.

Why must you tell us only now?

Since you can't tell in time, shut up.

Return my dog.

I'll let you die in one piece.

Really? I haven't heard anyone saying that to me...

...since I'm born.

I was unconvinced at first,...

...but after you've made a confession,...

...I think it's real.

Hand out Shanchuan Sword and then I'll spare your life.

Why does Dragon Lord go all out...

...to chase after an insignificant dog?

Is this your style?

Which part matches the lies that you've created so far?

Next time, please spend some effort and work your brain.

It turns out that he chases after you for the stolen good.

You even fooled the Old Dragon to protect you.

You could've thought that I would save you if I didn't figure out...

...that you're having the sword.

Am I a fool to you?

This explains why General Wen suddenly showed up here.

May I know who you are?

Can anyone lend a help?

My master carries the royal blood.

That's right. I'm a royal member...

...so Wen Yu has to protect me.

However, I don't like to be followed by others.

For my safety, they gave me a whistle arrow.

Once I launch the arrow, they'll come to protect me...

...wherever I am.

Dragon Lord, you know very well if the sword belongs to you.

Only the owner has the right to reclaim his belonging.

Others do not own the right.

The owner has turned into soil.

We both can only be taken as thieves if we go after the sword.

An elder like you...

...won't play the trick of a thief...

...crying to catch another thief, will you?

Let's go. Thank God, Mr. Xie is around.

He seems so pleased with himself.

Can this work?

We can just give it a try. Did you see his leg?

Is he injured?

His leg could've injured when he fought against General Wen Yu.

Otherwise, I wouldn't have taken a bet.

But Wen Yu might not be able to subdue a notorious devil.

However, he has many soldiers and they're well disciplined.

He must have suffered from it.

My trick might not have worked if Dragon Lord...

...wasn't injured.

He might not have been threatened...

...even if we're reinforced.

The mountain seems serene.

The more I seemed confident,...

...the more he had to weigh the outcome.

Master, are you sure to stop chasing after them?

I'm sure that's the important man mentioned by General Wen.

We've lost to Wen Yu just now...

...and almost died at Sanchun Inn.

Couldn't you tell...

...why Wen Yu had left all of the sudden?

It could be problematic...

...if he is really a royal member.

You're right, master.

We shouldn't make an enemy of royal court.

Would they come after us?

Pick a guess. -It's serious. Don't joke.

My lie might not stand too long. Let's find a place to hide.

Come.

"Animal on the scene is created by computer graphics"

Xunxiang Rat has a sensitive nature. It will hide...

...if it comes to a crowded place.

Look at...

...the way it travels up to the mountain without fear.

It can just point out a problem.

There is no one...

...here.

This is bad. We've been seen through. Run!

Let's go.

I almost forgot that damn rat.

Go ahead. I'll catch up. -Let's go.

"Animal on the scene is created by CG"

Chase after her! -Go!

Where is Fei? -She stayed to cover us.

Cover what? She'll make me die sonless.

Mr. Ji, bring Miss Wu. I'll go to seek Fei.

Okay. -I'll catch up later.

If you couldn't see us after an hour.....

I'll lead them to the secret passage of Mount Heng...

...and then I'll bring Miss Wu to 48 Strongholds.

Great. Thank you.

This is bad. My Qi has been consumed by previous moves.

I might not be able to lift the sabre if anyone charges at me.

Fine. I have no choice, but to threaten them like Xie Yun did.

Four Gods Mountain?

I think you're no better than Mu Xiaoqiao.

Who are you?

Pick a guess.

I guess you want death.

Look carefully. This move could break the sky river.

I'll inspire you.

Chase after her!

You try to challenge him alone? That could make you an immortal.

Haven't you pulled me up?

Without his palm, you couldn't have been able...

...to pull me up.

Should I thank him instead?

I think I've improved a lot.

Stop smiling.

He is absolutely a weirdo,...

...but yet I trust him unconditionally.

Is it due to his good look?

Do you want to revolt?

It's more important to run before that.

What are you looking?

The secret passage could be somewhere nearby.

It's hidden, quite hard to find.

Fei.

Here.

You're awesome.

Where is your sabre?

Don't bother.

You fought Dragon Lord without weapon.

That's.....

It isn't a sabre, but this is all I have.

Make do with it.

Where do you get this? Is it to boost your courage?

I picked it just now.

Why are you so smart in mocking at your own people?

Hero, could we try not to solve everything...

...with violence at a moment of crisis?

You..... -Fei, stop arguing.

Could you stay calm from now on?

Me? -We're worried about you.

Isn't he doing fine? I'm doing fine as well.

Yes, you're fine,...

...but you'll always lose a sabre.

Once I've returned, I'll make a special quiver...

...with about 8 slots in a row.

When you travel out, equip it with about 8 sabres.

It'll definitely look like a peacock with opened feathers.

It's both beautiful and convenient.

It could meet your demand.

Where are you returning?

Return.....

To 48 Strongholds with you.

Let's go.

Make haste, Fei.

There is trace of fights.

I think Dragon Lord is heavily injured.

We may hide inside.

He won't stay too long.

Is this the forbidden place of Qimen?

Go and fetch some water.

Why? -No why.

The door is managed by a mechanism.

Either in or out, we need to fill up the water bowl.

It's amazing. -Come with me.

Lady Zhou, Lady Wu. -Mr. Ji.

And Xiao..... -Well, I lied to them.

Just call me Xie.

May I know about the Shanchuan Sword...

...that you mentioned to Dragon Lord?

He forged it most probably.

Sorry, I forged it, indeed.

I did hear some rumours,...

...but I'm not sure with its credibility.

What is it?

It's said that when the Southern Sabre...

...was chased by Disha,...

...he did something weird...

...when he doubted the possibility...

...of escaping from them.

He destroyed his own weapon.

Is it really?

Why didn't I hear it from my father?

I wonder why as well.

Think about this. When someone is chased by others,...

...would he destroy his own weapon...

...instead of figuring a way to escape?

Of course, not.

Some gossipy people have forged some hearsay legends.

There is a said evil art. So long as one could obtain...

...the weapon of a legendary figure,...

...he could possess ultimate skill of that figure.

It's clearly a nonsense, which sounds serious.

Mr. Ji is an honest man. He could've believed it.

You don't need to look at me. It's just a hearsay.

Yet, I've learned sword smithing specifically to study it.

Why is there such a saying? It's clearly a nonsense.

Are you trying to tell me that Dragon Lord...

...plotted against Elder Yin only because he believed that?

I'm afraid you need to ask Mr. Yin.

Mr. Yin.

Can you finally tell why Dragon Lord...

...insists to bring you back?

You turned against your godfather after learning the truth...

...of your family's extermination years ago.

I believe that.

However, I don't believe you will take a long journey to kill...

...a man with no martial arts...

...after years of tolerating Dragon Lord.

Therefore, he seemed to have come to stir up trouble...

...with the Old Dragon,...

...but in fact, he wanted to kill...

...the Old Dragon with a borrowed sword.

Firstly, he claimed to kill without a reason.

Then, he didn't run after you had disarmed him...

...with a chopstick. Instead, he entered Sanchun Inn...

...and came straight to you.

He picked a quarrel on purpose. -That's right.

After that, he was captured by you.

Despite the trouble, he continued to intensify the conflict...

...and told you to kill the Old Dragon.

That explains why he is following us shamelessly.

He didn't run even when he was captured.

He came out only when Dragon Lord rushed to the scene...

...and had a fight with Wen Yu.

He even planned to take Lady Wu as a hostage.

If so, he could borrow the force of Wen Yu.

Although he failed, he escaped with us by chance.

Lady Zhou.

Why do you want to ask when you're so smart?

I'm just a fool to compare to your seamless plot.

He can't wield a sabre anymore.

Did you think about what to do if none in the inn...

...could kill the Old Dragon?

Why did you gain such a good luck?

You have profound family, adept skills...

...and immense stupidity.

Do you want to reproach or praise me?

Only if Ji Yunchen didn't bring me out of the manor...

...and I had learned Shanchuan Skills,...

...you wouldn't have qualified to hold a candle to me.

Who are you referring to? -You.

You.....

You don't need to take your heart with him.

Yes, I don't need to.

At the worst, Ji Yunchen and all unlucky guests in the inn...

...could've been killed by the Old Dragon.

It has no relation to us.

Therefore, you could simply make an excuse...

...and regard Ji Yunchen as your enemy.

It's reasonable for an evil sect to bear a grudge...

...against descendant of the Northern Sabre.

Old Dragon wouldn't doubt it.

He could only be pleased if Ji Yunchen is killed.

He didn't expect you to be descendent of the Yin family.

Not to mention that you had no plan to go back anymore.
