Legend of Fei

Episode 8

Offer lotus to a gentleman, hope to wear fine clothes made with it.

My mother told me ordinary folks live a hard life.

They can't seem to get out from that suffering.

The day where they'll wear nice clothes won't come.

They can only comfort themselves with songs.

Just kill those who dare to cause sufferings to the people.

Fei, if you kill one every time you meet one,...

...you'll become extreme and easily irritable...

...after a period of time.

That's what they want,...

...to turn you into like them.

Don't worry, I won't turn into like that.

Where's the prince?

Brother, just let it go.

People from Disha are all over the city. It's too dangerous.

What if you..... -There's no ifs.

Don't stop me, I don't have other ability,...

...but, I pretty good at escaping. So, relax.

But..... -I don't know how my friends are.

I must go and take a look.

Mr. Bai, what's the situation? -I've checked.

No one notice us at the moment.

Okay, come with me. -Okay.

Don't worry already, Mr. Bai will come with me.

Mr. Bai, you must make sure he's safe.

Yes, Your Highness.

You stay here and don't go anywhere.

I have something to ask when I return.

Okay.

What's going on?

How did this happen?

I've already lay out the plan. You'll definitely show up.

Although someone escape in this mission this time,...

...it wasn't for nothing.

Brother, I leave showing the invincible might...

...of Disha to you.

Yes.

Listen! This band of bandits has been creating trouble here...

...for quite some time.

They will rob anyone they can.

They rob money, horses...

...and treat human lives like it didn't matter.

Fortunately, they're caught.

But, some got away.

Anyone who comes forward with information...

...will gain merit and handsomely rewarded.

Money! -That's a lot of money!

So much food!

There's food!

I haven't had a full stomach for days.

Those are what we often feel hesitant to have.

It's too much. -How to finish it?

Mr. Bai, the rumours you heard are indeed true.

What do you mean?

Shen Tianshu and Qiu Tianjin are not really talking...

...on stage.

Something be must be wrong between them.

For a thief to commit such crime,...

...do you think he should be lacerated?

One of the bandits is still alive...

...from yesterday's fire!

How should he be punished?

Execute him!

Fei, you wouldn't be able to bear it if you're here.

Disha is trying to lure you out.

The bandit is still alive even it's such a big fire at the inn.

He's really impressive.

The prison guard told me...

...the bandit who survived is about to be executed in public.

Executed in the public? -Yes.

He's really dead this time. -Indeed.

You won't know since you're always home.

It's cold and hard again! How am I supposed to eat these?

The rest might still be alive. I want to go and take a look.

Fei, I'm going with you.

No, you must not.

What of your little brother if something happen to you?

Stay here and wait for my return.

But, I won't be able to live if something happens to you.

We'll return to 48 Strongholds after I return from saving them.

That's more like it, thank you.

Don't wander about.

Otherwise, the big black wolf will bite you.

Thank you for taking me in.

Sorry to bother you. I'll repay your kindness if I live.

Madam, I'm sorry for doing this.

You know the Poxue Skill?

Who taught you the Poxue Skill?

It's passed down by the family.

Passed down by the family?

Then, how are you related to Li Zheng?

He's my maternal grandfather.

Madam!

Madam!

We mean no harm. Please don't hurt Fei.

Who exactly are you? -He's your maternal grandfather?

That means...

...I'm your maternal grandmother!

If you continue this nonsense, I'm going to teach you...

...a lesson even if I can't defeat you.

How am I not your maternal grandmother?

What do you say?

She died after giving birth to my uncle.

You're obviously spouting nonsense!

Not only you're taking advantage on me,...

...you're taking advantage on two generations.

You're so fierce.

Step maternal grandmother also counts.

This woman must be mad.

My little adorable baby, I'm going to dote on you.

I didn't do anything!

Fei! -This.....

I didn't do anything! -What's wrong, Fei?

I didn't do anything! -Miss.

Carry her in first.

Kill him! -Kill him!

Brother Chenfei is still alive. -Calm down.

Don't do anything rash.

He must be killed!

It's him?

You traitor.

48 Strongholds won't let you off the hook.

Brother Chenfei, you must hang on for as long as you can.

Don't ever disappoint the leaders.

Just kill me, traitor!

His accomplices are still at large!

Any information given will be rewarded handsomely!

His accomplices are still at large!

Any information given will be rewarded handsomely!

Mr. Xie. -Mr. Bai.

That's a living person. We can't stand by and watch.

He's just one step to death.

Even if we save him, he won't live long.

How did he die?

How did he die?

Is he dead?

Sir, I had no choice...

...but to do what I did today.

Disha is extremely vicious. For them to hold...

...a dying man hostage is to..... -Mr. Bai.

Huo Fort started out as a martial art sect.

Even if their recruits are from smaller sects,...

...these are just a bunch of fierce and brave people.

Tell me.

Why do they suddenly gather forces, horses and raking wealth?

Sir.

Who's Huo Liantao working with?

His Highness has only been here for a short time.

Although he indeed keeps in touch with the Huo,...

...only to side with them...

...to go against their mutual enemy, Yu Wenzhi.

Moreover, there are good and bad people in the Huo Fort.

His Highness has no idea...

...who they are or what they've done.

No need to explain all this.

Who doesn't have friends they are not proud of?

But, you must know...

...whose crime...

...that person had died for.

Is promise more important than your life?

Yes.

No one told you to come down. -If I didn't kick you,...

...you'd lose your leg.

If she's alive, even with her last breath,...

...she'd definitely rescue him.

Leave me, just go!

It's too late.

Do you know what's going on now?

Disha and Mu Xiaoqiao are coming. Do you want to die?

I have to save Li Sheng and Brother Chenfei.

I can't just abandon them and run off.

But, she didn't show up.

Don't tell me she's.....

Mister, where are you going?

Never mind. Let's go.

After this matter has settled down,...

...I'll gather a few men...

...to collect your friends' bodies and have them buried.

I just hope...

...their body is still intact and not destroyed by Disha.

Human lives during this turbulence...

...are less valuable than food,...

...fabrics, carts and horses.

All except friendship, which is more valuable.

It's really a pity.

Mr. Xie, what's wrong?

Mr. Xie, let's hurry back.

She has good skills...

...and she looks even beautiful.

But, she doesn't look like Li Zheng...

...or me.

Could she...

...look like that real maternal grandmother of hers?

Madam!

Fei probably looks like her father.

That makes sense.

I've never met him yet.

Bring him to me so I can take a look at him next time.

Madam, how do I address you?

Duan Jiuniang.

Who are you and where are your parents?

I'm Wu Chuchu.

My parents.....

They're dead?

Life is filled with more hardship than happiness.

Look at me. I have no relatives left.

It wasn't easy to have a lover.

But, he always go against me.

It proves that they're related.

She really has his temper.

Am I right?

Answer me.

Why aren't you saying anything?

Say something.

Answer me.

What happen to him?

Is it your old injury? Why not let Mr. Bai take a look at it?

What if you.....

Mr. Bai?

Mr. Bai, why are you doing this?

Zichen, help him up. -Mr. Bai, please get up.

I've indeed committed a sin. Please punish me.

What exactly happened?

Disha dragged Mr. Xie's friend out of the fire...

...and tortured him to the last breath. They even slander him.

Disha disguised as civilians to torment him.

I couldn't bear to see his friend being tortured to death.

So, I...

...can only end his life.

Mr. Bai, you killed his friend?

I.....

Brother.

Zichen,...

...stop making a ruckus.

Mr. Bai, please get up.

Come to think of it,...

...if someone I was looking for was present,...

...Mr. Bai's action is to let them know...

...not to fall into the trap.

Moreover,...

...Brother Chenfei has been tortured to the extent...

...of a living hell and only seeking to free himself from it.

But, I couldn't do it.

You're the one who helped Brother Chenfei.

I owe you and your friend his life.

If you require any assistance in the future,...

...I'll risk my life to assist you.

Forget it.

Zichen, is there any liquor?

Liquor?

Brother Chenfei,...

...I'll definitely find Fei.

I'm Xie Meimei...

...who's also an optimist.

You are...

...Xie Meimei?

Water Grass?

You're finally awake.

Fei.

I thought I heard Xie Yun calling for me.

I know you're worried about Mr. Xie. He'll be fine so relax.

I saw him left that morning.

Glad to know that.

Xie Yun? -Mr. Xie.

You're finally back. What did you find out?

Fei, are you still alive?

Heads, a false alarm.

Tails.....

Open the door!

Master, Lu Hound's men has moved out.

Found anything? -No.

Qiu Tianjin thinks he's clever.

There's not even a survivor left now.

The city has been sealed off.

The local authority is watching the city gates closely.

Given that they managed to escape from the inn...

...and lay low until today.

They could be hard to deal with.

Ignore them.

Just focus on our search.

Don't forget our purpose in Huarong.

Yes.

Not here. -To the next house!

What's going on?

Master has ordered to focus on our own search.

Jiachen, what's the situation? -Gray Wolf has started the search.

What's going on? -Gray Wolf and Lu Hound had split.

Gray Wolf would search the places Lu Hound had searched...

...and the same the other around.

Both of them indeed aren't in good terms.

But, they have different focus. -How so?

Lu Hound search for a maiden and children.

They're focusing on little boy and not little girl.

This means they're looking...

...for Young Miss Wu and Young Master Wu.

What about Gray Wolf? -They go around with a portrait...

...and checking the household registration.

They're focusing on a young man.

Indeed. -What?

You know very well.

Shen Tianshu aren't looking for Wu Chuchu but you.

How long will they reach here? -Around 10 minutes.

They're at the front street.

But, I've settled in Huarong for a period of time...

...and have registered fake names at the household registry.

Don't worry, we'll definitely make sure you're safe.

So, who's going to role play?

I think a father with two sons.

Zichen, go and hide and I'll do it.

If your father knows you acted rashly, he'd be so upset.

As for me, it's okay. -But.....

Your Highness, he's right.

Just go and hide for now.

So, your plans are actually very thorough.

Let me explain.

Forget it, we'll talk about this after the search is over.

Your Highness, please.

Time to eat.

I've heated this porridge. You can eat it now.

Thank you, Madam Song.

Miss Li..... -My surname is not Li.

I'm sorry, I've forgotten.

I wanted you to know...

...that our madam has gone mad for more than a decade.

She behaves in a confusing and rude manner.

So, I hope you don't mind it too much.

I'm sorry but I really can't see that she's mad.

She's not entirely mad.

Some days are better than the others.

There are times she looks fine.

But, when she remembers something, she'll start acting out.

Has she always been like this? -Jiuniang?

She said she's Duan Jiuniang. -Duan Jiuniang?

In the past two decades, only Shanchuan Sword,...

...Wither Palm of Guanxi and Leisure Fairy of Penglai...

...of South and North Blades are considered to be real masters.

Come to think of it, I have met Duan Jiuniang...

...a few times.

But, too bad. She has gone missing for more than ten years.

Impossible.

Why would someone legendary become a concubine living...

...and neglected in the courtyard of a magistrate?

Wither Palm? Why did she say she's the empress dowager?

Who says Wither Palm...

...can't be the empress dowager?

It's a good sabre...

...but too bad it's broken.

Could she really be Wither Palm of Guanxi?

You can only go and have fun after you finish your meal, okay?

It's dangerous outside.

The wolf will bite you.

Let's go.

Sir, sorry that you have had to make this trip in vain.

I'm sorry. This way out.

Go in and search!

Sir! -Come here!

Who's there?

Sir.

I'm Liu San, age 50.

My wife has passed away and I have only two sons.

We're just farmers.

This is my eldest son, Liu Shi.

This one is my youngest son, Liu Shan.

Sir, let me pour you some water.

Out of my way! Don't try to flatter us.

The more you try to flatter, the more suspicious you are.

Brother, they're not who we're looking for.

Let's go to the next house.

Sir, take care. -This way out.

Who's that? -Shi'er!

I'm sorry, I.....

I'm fine, father.

You're a farmers but you have a writing desk.

Who is this writing desk for?

Sir, I was a teacher in my early days.

I came here as I escape from hardship.

Shi'er!

Shi'er, how are you? -Brother, what's wrong?

Sir, my son suffers from tuberculosis. It's hard to treat.

Tuberculosis?

What's happened? -Huarong was peaceful at first.

Some refugees flooded here and several of them were infected.

My son was infected by the disease.

I..... -Let us call for the physician.

Gross! -Sir!

Let's go!

Sir!

Oh, no! Hurry Shan'er! Fetch the physician!

I'll go now!

Mr. Xie.

Give me water. -Okay.

Water.

You must have suffered, Your Highness.

You too, Mr. Xie. -Not at all.

Water. -Okay.

I'm sorry.

It's okay, it's already in the past.

Your Highness.

I never expect it'll end up like this.

Zichen, Shen Tianshu attacked the Dark Dungeon...

...because he thought he could take down Huo Fort...

...and capture Huo Liantao.

Who knows Mu Xiaoqiao appeared and refused to surrender.

I'm not the only who knows who's backing up Huo Liantao.

Gray Wolf is looking for a man...

...while Lu Hound is looking for Miss Wu and Young Master Wu...

...who escaped from the inn.

For Shen Tianshu to make a detour to Huarong,...

...its obviously because he's aiming you.

Zichen, you should go out and see...

...that there are more refugees in Huarong than anywhere else.

They know it's safe here.

Why do you think so?

I..... -It's because you're here.

Huo Liantao must have ordered his subordinates...

...not to cause trouble in Huarong.

You on the other hand making yourself a target...

...and think no one would ever find you.

I understand what you're trying to say.

At first, I came to Huarong so that it's easier for me...

...to contact Huo Liantao.

I never expect these refugees would come because of me.

Seeing them homeless and starving,...

...I just can't sit and do nothing.

So, you're the one who gave out food...

...to the refugees in Huarong.

I know I put myself in danger by doing so.

But, I can't ignore their life and death.

I'm sorry if I've dragged you into this.

Zichen, I'm pleased to know...

...that you put the people above your safety.

But, Shen Tianshu may have not caught you,...

...but he has trapped you here and searching door-to door.

Both city gates are guarded.

Even if there's a way out,...

...Mr. Bai won't let you take the risk.

What's the use trapping me here?

They won't dare to do anything to me.

If he's trying to get to Huo Liantao by surrounding me,...

...that will not happen.

Huo Liantao and I aren't that close.

Now, your troops are stationed right at the border.

It doesn't take 7-8 days by horse to reach here.

If your father heard you're trapped here,...

...he'd definitely take action...

...even if it's a trap.

There's no reason for a martial artist like Shen Tianshu.....

Disha has no reason,...

...but, what about Yu Wenzhi who's behind them?

Something happens to a prince in the enemy's territory,...

...Yu Wenzhi would definitely make a fuss.

Zichen, don't you think you're too naive?

Your Highness, I've told you...

...to leave the city.

Didn't Mr. Xie say the same thing just now?

Too bad that it's not the time yet.

Zichen, send a letter to Huo Liantao.

Letter going into Huo Fort must be seen by Disha.

If I'm not wrong,...

...our opportunity will arrive soon.

I've told you there's a big black wolf outside.

It'll eat you.

Madam Duan, is there anyway...

...to defeat the big black wolf you said?

Easy.

You can if you can block ten moves from me.

But, you really can't.

My moves...

...is meant to defeat Poxue Skill.

Brother Li, do you dare accept my challenge?

Don't be scared, she won't hurt you.

What's her relationship with my grandfather?

No one at home has ever mentioned about it.

Can you please tell me?

It's a long story.

This way please.

It wasn't a peaceful time.

Chaos everywhere.

I was originally a servant for a noble family.

I didn't know who did the Young Master provoked...

...that the person hired Disha to massacre us all.

I was the only one who manage to escape...

...while carrying an infant.

But, we're still chased by Disha.

Madam Duan happened to pass by and lend a hand.

At critical moment, a swordsman appeared from above.

Miss, take the child and leave.

Are you still considered heroes for going at women?

Is it something to be proud of?

I didn't know they had such encounter.

Who are you? Tell us your name...

...so we can hold a memorial service same day next year.

Li Zheng of South Blade.
