Police. Don't move.

What are you doing?

Get out! If you don't get out I'll call the police.

We are from Beijiang City Public Security Bureau.

We are arresting Wang Bolin.

-Chairman Wang has left -Left?

No one. Nobody.

It's impossible. I was watching the security camera the whole time.

How did Wang Bolin leave?

It's like this, officer. I came to deliver water to him today.

He made me change clothes with him

and gave me 10,000 yuan to stay home and wait.

I don't know anything else.

Wang Bolin, this sly fox. He was prepared.

Why is there traffic everywhere?

It's fine if they're checking in the city, but also on the airport expressway?

Are you letting people do business?

Driver, is there any other route?

Every road is the same. I don't know what's happened.

Every exit has police officers stationed. They're even checking the boot.

The suspect Ma Jianshe

was arrested at 2pm.

He has confessed everything.

He received a bribe from Hao Xiaoqiang.

He also recommended investors for Xingaoke and Kerui.

He worked with Wang Bolin and Hao Xiaoqiang

to manipulate the share prices.

What did you find?

The suspects Hao Xiaoqiang and Yu Xiaohui are here.

Have you not found Wang Bolin yet?

At this time, we have stationed officers at all the major road checkpoints.

We haven't found Wang Bolin at

any of his houses or in any of the hotels.

We cannot rule out that he is renting from an underground landlord.

I have put his name and identification on our intranet.

As long as he uses his ID or bank card, we will know.

We have our colleagues investigating other hiding places.

We are using large amounts of our resources, so we will be sure to find him.

We must finish this immediately. Get to work.

Yes.

Driver, thank you.

I'll stop here.

This area is under specific management. Pedestrians are not allowed through

Director Yang, we have the entire city under control.

At the major roads and motorways, we have installed checkpoints.

We are checking all the cars that pass.

We have to be careful to check the essential

routes leading to the airport, dock, train station and motorway.

Yes

Also,

to prevent him escaping to another city,

Jiaqi and I will also check inter-city transport hubs.

Alright. We have cast a wide net for him

we just need to wait for him to show. He won't escape this time.

Everyone gather your strength to get to the finish line.

Yes!

Hello? Who is it?

Wang Bolin.

You're pretty brave to call me.

With your sister, I want to talk to you.

Tonight at 8pm, Shi Men Bridge. Come alone.

Director Yang, you're alone?

I don't need any help to challenge you.

I used a new phone number to call you.

I didn't tell you it was this building.

How did you find me?

I walked around for a bit

You wouldn't go to a hotel or a restaurant.

This is the best hiding place for you.

You police officers are very impressive.

I can't escape.

I know, every police officer in this city is trying to catch me.

There are check points at every road.

But if I'm caught

you will also be implicated.

Are you talking to me about my sister's 500,000 yuan?

Zhao Haiqing wanted to bribe my sister

I already warned him

I also got my sister to return the 500,000 yuan.

From then on, she has nothing to do with this.

Put them on yourself.

I can show you leniency

and call this turning yourself in.

I'm leaving. Let's go.

Wait, director Yang.

I'm not talking about the 500,000 yuan.

But about 3 million yuan.

What?

You don't know about this?

You're so close with her, did she not tell you?

Your sister is so filial.

She asked to borrow 3 million

from Haiqing to buy a house for your parents.

I told Haiqing

not to pressure her to return the money.

We didn't even give her a loan receipt.

Really, it's not a big deal.

But

now that Xingaoke is in trouble.

What will happen in the future

is difficult to predict.

I'll show you something.

See

this.

This is a photocopy of the paperwork for Xingaoke's loan.

The signature of approval

is signed by your sister.

If the police continue to investigate

Beijiang City branch of the Beijiang Development Bank

also known as your sister's workplace

this will be discovered.

All the loans that Xingaoke borrowed

are against regulations.

If the investigation continues

then that 3 million yuan

can be interpreted as a payoff.

This is bribery.

Think about it. What kind of sentence

would 3 million lead to?

Director Yang,

I really have no more options.

So, I asked you here

so we can have a discussion

how to deal with this.

Yang Jianqiu

approved a loan against regulations

so I will ask her to turn herself in.

You said my sister

took 3 million yuan.

I can't take your word for it.

Show me the evidence.

So go and ask her.

If you ask your sister she'll tell you.

I'll fix up Jianqiu's 3 million

and also take some money to fill in Xingaoke's account gaps.

As long as there aren't any bad debts or bad accounts

the police won't continue to investigate.

Director Yang

I can give you this in exchange

for you helping me leave Beijiang.

Only you can achieve this.

How about it?

This deal

is worth it for you.

Hey Director Yang

What are you doing?

Hey, Director Yang

Calm down.

Don't rush

Wait for me.

What else?

Director Yang?

Brother.

Why do you have time to come home?

Perfect time. Mom and dad are coming back from travels today.

They'll be happy to see you here for dinner.

Let me ask you.

You returned the 500,000 yuan right?

Why are you mentioning this again? Did you return it?!

I returned it.

But then you took 3 million yuan.

How do you know?

I didn't take.

I asked for a personal loan from the manager.

I thought,

I'll buy this house sooner or later.

So I didn't want to get a mortgage.

The interest goes to the bank, so it's not worth it.

Where's the loan slip?

Or the receipt?

Manager says we're friends

especially working at the same company,

so he didn't give me a loan receipt.

Where is the money?

There.

3 million?

Why is this all that's left?

Where is the rest?

I bought the house with cash.

And.

And.

Sister-in-law lost 700,000 in the stock market.

She couldn't tell you.

So I helped her fix it.

I also took 1 million to invest in the stock market.

I wanted to recoup it quickly.

So I could return it to Manager Zhao.

But recently the stock trends haven't been good.

So I lost money on all the investments.

I hurried and took the rest of the money out.

I thought

When the market improves, I'll reinvest it.

Brother, I'll make it back.

You are overconfident.

Why didn't you think it through?

Why did he loan you this much money?

I loaned it in private.

He wanted to help me sort out housing.

Rubbish

He wanted to implicate me in this.

Let me ask you again.

Has Xingaoke

repaid the loan

from the bank?

No.

We are already investigating Xingaoke

They are suspected

of fabricating information to deceive the public

and manipulate the market.

You are Xingaoke's

loan approver.

Your signature is all over the documents.

No no!

Also you have 3 million yuan unaccounted for.

You don't have a receipt or a loan slip.

They are saying that's to bribe you.

You won't be able to explain this.

I'm telling you

not only will you go to jail

I will also be compromised.

Big brother

What do I do?

I'll sell the house tomorrow.

But even if I sell it, I won't make all the money back.

Brother, I don't want to go to jail.

I'm telling you Yang Jianqiu

This family

has been ruined by you.

I don't want to go to jail.

Even if I die, I don't want to go to jail.

Brother. I was wrong

I will take care of my own situation.

Take care of mom and dad.

Jianqiu

Miao Miao

Your sister is so filial

In order to buy a house for your parents

she borrowed 3 million yuan from Haiqing

I told him

don't pressure her to return the money

We didn't even give her a loan slip.

And then you took 3 million

How did you know?

The house, I bought it with cash

And

And

Sister-in-law lost 700,000 yuan in the stock market.

She didn't dare to tell you.

I paid it back secretly.

So recently

the stock market has been flourishing

so the colleagues at work

told me to invest too.

So I listened to them

and invested a little.

How much money?

900,000 yuan

But then, someone helped me

with this and that.

Not that long later, I earned the money back.

This is to celebrate

a big pack of money falling from the skies.

Hello.

Good thing you brought her here fast.

If you were late a little longer, it would be dangerous.

How is my sister?

She's okay now.

Thank you. Thank you.

You can rest.

Jianqun

what happened?

Didn't I tell you

not to come over.

To take care of my mom and dad.

When I got to Jianqiu's house

I found a load of blood on the floor.

So, I cleaned it before our parents saw it.

Hello? Dad.

I just saw Wang Li rushing

out. There's obviously something wrong.

Where is Jianqiu?

She got dumped

So she

hurt herself.

Which hospital is she at? How is she? We need to go see her

As her brother

you should have consoled her.

You're a police officer

How could you not even take care of your sister?

Dad,

stay home and stay with mom.

Alright? Jianqiu is

fine now.

I'm here with Little Li.

Rest at home.

Why did he hang up.

We haven't even finished talking.

This...

I know Jianqiu wasn't dating.

What happened?

You are worried about dad to not say the truth.

You have to tell me the truth.

Did you tell me the truth?

What truth?

You hid everything from me.

Wait here.

Hey, Jianqun

Stay here.

If it wasn't for

me attending the police academy.

You wouldn't have delayed your studies.

And it wouldn't be like this.

What are you saying?

Brother.

You being a police officer

that you are a police officer.

Our dad's legs deteriorate over the winter.

He's unwilling to burn coal too.

This year, I'll bring them here for Spring festival.

So we will be together, wouldn't that be good?

You've become greedy since

coming to this city.

I would rather send you back to the countryside and be considered unjust.

Yes.

I shouldn't stay here.

I should stay in the country forever.

Being looked down on by others.

Right?

You must look down on me too.

I don't want to implicate you.

I also didn't know

that the situation would be this bad.

3 million

would 3 million be.

Jianqiu

got her job in the bank due to your father-in-law.

Your father-in-law won't be able to escape association.

He is the deputy mayor

He can't afford that.

Yang Jianqun

if you continue

you'll become a murderer.

Listen to me.

Tomorrow.

Repay that loan.

In the evening,

I'll come get you.

Not catching Wang Bolin.

But other suspects

are caught.

Today, Xingaoke's shares

have crashed.

This has caused big repercussions to society.

So no matter what

we need to fully investigate this case.

The next step

is to interrogate the suspects.

Chief Zhou, I would like to apply for

continued efforts to catch Wang Bolin.

We still need to catch Wang Bolin.

But don't worry about it. This situation

will be led by Xia Yuan.

Chief Zhou is right

interrogation of the suspects

must happen immediately.

Wu Jiaqi, you are a member of the financial investigation unit.

You have the relevant knowledge.

And are familiar with the case, so

the interrogation will be led by you.

Director Yang

We clearly know

that Wang Bolin is the mastermind.

If we can't catch Wang Bolin

what's the point in interrogating these insignificant people?

Watch your tone.

Jiaqi

what do you mean by insignificant?

We can't overlook any details.

Meeting is dismissed.

Old Yang

supervise your team properly.

You are not composed.

Why, you think I'm not cut out for it?

I didn't say that.

When I was training

I was first place in shooting.

I believe that.

I just don't understand

why we have put in all this effort

and still we were too late.

I believe this is only the first step.

In the battle between the hunted and the hunter

the hunted will start out

hiding in the darkness

to hide their tracks

and hoping not to be discovered.

But as long as the hunter finds them

they can't escape.

They will be caught.

As long as he is alive

we have the opportunity to catch him.

To be honest

when we went to catch Wang Bolin

and found that he wasn't there

I already had the premonition

that we wouldn't get him this time.

Why did you say that?

Wang Bolin is only a businessman

even if he is really slippery

he doesn't have the ability to pass our city wide net.

You suspect he is receiving help?

I'm also a police officer.

I only have instinct, but not evidence.

So I can't say.

We will find him.

Don't give up

Hello, please show us your driver's licence.

Open your trunk.

-It's fine right? -Yes

Okay. Come on in.

-Director Yang! -Hey, how's it going?

Director Yang, why are you here?

I came to see you.

You're all working hard.

-There's no new developments right? -Not yet

Good, everyone's working hard. I brought you some drinks.

Go and get them from the trunk.

-Director Yang, this is -Thank you

It's nothing.

This many drinks?

Director Yang, that's very generous.

I'll go and take a look myself in a bit.

Alright, I'll go.

Bye Director Yang.

Work hard.

Take this. Thank you.

Leave. I didn't do this for money.

-Disappear immediately. -Ok

I'll disappear. Hope to never see you again.

Director Yang

I'm back

It's all normal up front. I'll go investigate elsewhere.

Alright

-Leave it to us

You're working hard.

I'm off

Everyone look up at the police emblem.

From today

you are police officers

of the People's Republic of China.

As a police officer

remember, firstly

to be loyal to the party, to the country

to the people, and to the law.

At the same time, you must be lotal to your conscience.

Because of what you have done

I couldn't continue this case against Xingaoke.

I've been a police officer for 20 years

and have always thought I was an honest policeman.

But now, I found that I'm wrong.

Because of my selfishness

I will make a huge mistake.

-Thank you -Disappear now

Okay. Disappear.
