[Episode 16]

Sit down.

From now on, I'll leave my daughter to you.

Consider yourself married as of today.

A good woman shouldn't marry a slave.

I bought you.

Suoda Meng had me chained up.

But it isn't for money.

Suoda Meng is a business man.

I paid him with all the savings I made from traveling as a merchant.

Why wouldn't he make the deal?

He's no longer like someone from Han Prefecture.

Therefore...

you'd serve him willingly as a slave?

Chains can't tie down a wolf of Han Prefecture.

Before he finds his pack

a lone wolf can't allow himself to starve to death.

Suoda Meng's clan never runs short of meat.

He can make me strong.

Just to become strong...

you willingly succumbed to him?

Only a man who doesn't believe that he can become a king

would be scared of staying a slave for life.

Jin Zhu Hai does have good judgment.

That day in Suoda Meng's tent

she came and whispered into my ear.

She said that she'd met the man of her affection.

She wants to be with you forever.

It's just like how I wanted to be with her mother back then.

Jin Zhu Hai's mother died young.

My daughter started traveling across the prairie with me

when she was four years old.

That child...

She's willful, but good-natured.

If she likes someone, she'll go all out to be good to him.

She never learns to protect herself.

However, if you look down on her because of that and treat her poorly

you'll hurt someone who truly loves you.

You'll be cursed by the gods of Han Prefecture.

Never will you feel the warmth of love.

You might be able to get what you want in this life

but you will never be happy.

Those who are kind to me...

I'll treat them well for life.

Marriage is no trivial matter.

Who else is there in your family?

It's best to inform them.

I don't have anyone else.

From now on, we're your family.

We'll give you a home.

Home...

I almost forget what that feels like.

Pa!

Pops.

There's one matter on my mind.

I need to get it done.

Because of me...

you and Jin Zhu Hai can no longer live in peace.

Before we close our eyes forever, we should think about this.

If all you seek is peace and quiet

but then leave yourself with a great many regrets

I wonder if you'll end up feeling remorseful.

Shuofeng He Ye.

I don't know what you intend to do.

As long as you treat Jin Zhu Hai well...

As long as you keep her by your side

I'll assist you in whatever you do.

Pops...

In the future, whatever glory and honor I shall attain

it shall belong to you and Jin Zhu Hai.

Call me Pa.

Pa.

I'll get you better ones.

This is the best.

I'm content.

It'd be wonderful if life could stay like this forever.

It will.

Don't worry.

I know that you have great ambitions.

My father and I...

We won't hold you back.

My wild horse...

Send it galloping toward whatever direction you wish.

These people...

They would even kill children.

They have no regard for the code.

Let's get going.

Kusu Du!

I informed you!

I informed you!

Salt is at the back of the carriage!

Someone like him...

I'll handle him on my own.

He Ye!

Shuofeng He Ye!

Do you still recognize me?

[Helan Tie Yuan]

Attack!

From now on, I am your lord!

Pledge yourselves to me!

One day, I'll avenge the deaths of your parents!

Run!

Run!

Helan Tie Yuan?

Shuofeng He Ye!

Tie Duo!

Tie Duo!

Look who it is!

[Helan Tie Duo]

He Ye, can you teach me archery?

Don't touch him!

Who is she?

I'm his wife.

I didn't ask you.

Who is she?

She is my wife.

Who is she?

My younger sister, Helan Tie Duo.

We're family!

A family!

[Helan Clan, Han Prefecture]

Three!

Two!

One!

- Drink! - Drink!

- Drink! - Drink!

The most beautiful flower of the Helan Clan is about to blossom.

It's a pity that he already has his own flower in his heart.

You've come out here as well?

I'm sorry.

My sister.

I had too much to drink.

Do you really regard me only as a sister?

We grew up together.

Take a good look at me.

I'm a woman now.

Yes.

You're a very beautiful woman.

Shuofeng He Ye.

I like you.

I also like you.

I'll tell my brother to have us married immediately.

I like you, but only as a sister.

I already have Jin Zhu Hai.

I don't care.

Shuofeng He Ye, you're Lord Shuofeng.

I'm Lord Helan's younger sister.

We're the most compatible of all!

Only if you marry me can you realize all your greatest ambitions and wishes!

That Jin Zhu Hai is unworthy of you.

She will hold you back.

She will trap you in days of mundanity.

You'll then lead your life like any other man in Han Prefecture.

Dully.

But you're Shuofeng He Ye.

Your hands are stained with the blood of your parents.

You made an oath to become the king of the world.

Have you forgotten?

Jin Zhu Hai!

Go! Go to her!

I'm not worthy of you!

I'll be a hindrance to you!

I'll never be of a noble birth like Lord Helan's sister!

Nor do I have a powerful brother who can assist you!

Tie Yuan.

Tie Yuan!

What are you doing?

Have I ever begged you for anything?

My dear Tie Duo...

You've been assisting me.

It was also your idea to befriend Nanku Qi.

I was reluctant at first.

If you hadn't sent someone over secretly to establish ties with them

we'd still be being trampled over like rabbits in Han Prefecture.

I have a favor to ask of you now.

I don't know if you'll do it for me.

Apart from you, who else do I have in this world?

Tell me.

What is it that you ask of me?

I'll give you everything.

- If you want stars in the sky-- - I don't want stars!

I want Shuofeng He Ye.

What does that mean?

I've liked him since I was 12 years old.

He should have been mine.

But he already has a wife.

People die.

You're indeed Helan Tie Yuan's sister!

Will you do it?

Or not?

You would have me kill my brother's wife?

How am I to lead my people if I do so?

I want to be the king of Han Prefecture.

At such times, my clan must not lose their faith in me.

With your wisdom...

can't you have her killed with a justified cause?

Pa!

Here, have some milk tea to sober up.

I'm fine.

I didn't drink much last night.

Go and check on Shuofeng He Ye to see if he's sober.

I've already sauntered around the area.

Tie Yuan is smart.

The location of this camp was very well chosen.

It's on the lee side.

There's also sufficient sunlight.

No snow will accumulate.

There's also a big pond there.

He has so many horses.

Get going.

We have to leave this place as soon as possible.

Why?

That brother of yours doesn't go by the book.

I'm worried that he might make things hard for us.

Pa, he's a friend I've known since childhood.

You must be too sensitive.

Since the emperor of East Continent became ill

the royal court has taken more and more absurd actions.

Both official and illicit salt are now monopolized by

Wan Prefecture's Chamber of Commerce.

Who knows what dirty moves they have been plotting this year?

The salt distributed to Han Prefecture isn't even half of what we used to get.

It took me great pains to get this cart of salt.

This is the last batch of salt for the year.

Without salt, they won't have the energy to hunt.

How many lives will be at stake?

We have no choice but to take precaution.

Pa, you call the shots.

I'll go and say goodbye to my brother.

All right, make it fast.

Pa, aren't you being a bit too cautious?

I'm not being too cautious.

It's just a gut feeling that these men aren't quite decent.

You're in such a hurry to leave?

We're in a rush.

In a few days, the snow will block off the mountain path.

We won't be able to deliver the salt on time.

Shuofeng He Ye...

My brother.

You chose to become a traveling merchant's son-in-law.

You intend to lead a stable life.

Have you forgotten?

The oath you made to seek revenge.

I didn't forget it.

It's always been on my mind.

It doesn't seem like it.

But that's all right.

I've remembered it for you.

The future of Han Prefecture now lies in this tent.

Do you know a place called Cloud City in Wan Prefecture?

The Wise of Cloud City can craft the best ironware in Novoland.

A good ironware...

The smell of it sends thrills down your back.

The people of Han Prefecture aren't allowed to own ironware.

Helan Tie Yuan can.

Why?

I'm smart.

I'm good at making friends.

I keep getting this wrong impression...

Han Prefecture can be mine anytime.

As long as I want it.

Come right in!

- Your Lordship. - Your Lordship.

Get up.

You don't recognize them?

Shuofeng Cang Yun.

Shuofeng Lan.

Shuofeng Zhao Zhao.

Little brats who escaped with me back then.

I've fed them well.

Do you know that

the invincible Muru Cavalry finally lost for the first time?

I know that.

Novoland was shocked by it.

Even the royal family of Novoland was alarmed by it.

Shuofeng Cang Yun...

He had the Muru Cavalry's banner trampled by his horse.

How does that feel?

Wonderful.

You did that?

My dear brother...

I hope that you can stay with us.

Join us in conquering all the major clans in Han Prefecture.

Trample the Muru Cavalry right under our feet.

We'll avenge our parents.

I can't abandon my Pa, Jin Ji, and Jin Zhu Hai.

Your Pa, Jin Ji?

Shuofeng He Ye.

Don't you dare forget...

You're Lord Shuofeng.

Your Pa...

He's Shuofeng Da.

Let me think it over.

Think about it here.

Call me when you're done thinking.

What's your name?

Kusu Du.

Do you want to live or die?

I want to live!

I want to live.

I have a nice task for you.

I promise to accomplish it.

I promise.

You haven't even asked what task it is.

Whatever task is fine as long as I get to live.

I'll definitely do it!

Go and get that Jin Zhu Hai...

Enjoy.

Scoundrel!

Get off me!

Get off!

I've liked you for so many years.

Your Lordship. Lady Shuofeng has committed adultery.

Shall we catch them red-handed?

Give it some time.

Shuofeng He Ye!

Shuofeng He Ye!

Jin Zhu Hai has gone missing!

How did she go missing?

Jin Zhu Hai and I were knocked out cold in the camp.

When I woke up...

Jin Zhu Hai was already missing.

Shuofeng He Ye.

This brother of yours...

He is not to be trusted!

Return Jin Zhu Hai...

to me.

Do you know who Jin Ji is?

Do you know what that tattoo on his face means?

An old eagle should steer clear of the skies!

Shuofeng Cang Yun.

See?

This is your Lord Shuofeng.

For the sake of an outsider...

he would raise his hand against his own people.

Jin Ji is my family.

If you offend Jin Ji, you offend me.

What if his surname were Muru?

Muru Jin Ji!

Back then...

if he didn't become a deserter in order to marry a woman of the Heshu Clan

the commander of the Muru Cavalry who now supervises Han Prefecture...

That very well could've been him.
