Let's start off. Brand‐new TV show.

Explain to us ‐‐

This is what "The Voice" is about.

Well, I ‐‐ You know, I wish I could sit here

and tell you that I know exactly,

you know, what "The Voice,"

the television show, is gonna be about.

It has to start with a great voice.

♪ Gonna swing from the chandelier ♪

You know, I think the thing that makes this show

and the blinds specifically so unique

is obviously the fact that it's just the voices. ♪ From the chandelier ♪

♪ I'm ♪

What?! ♪ Gonna live ♪

♪ Like tomorrow doesn't exist ♪ The days leading up to it, I'm buzzing,

thinking about the voices I'm gonna hear.

♪ Like it doesn't exist ♪

You know, that moment,

it's make or break for your team,

and it really sets the tone for the entire season.

That was the most trippiest turn‐around, blind audition,

freakiest thing I've ever experienced in my life.

You do not look like your voice.

And that's what makes it super cool.

Tonight, we're celebrating 10 years of "The Voice"

by reminiscing about all of the special moments over the years.

You're the first person that's ever auditioned

that's giving us an opportunity, not the other way around.

Chris Blue, Team Alicia!

You did it!

And we'll also be looking toward this season's future...

...as we see how our coaches put together

their amazing live playoff teams. Whoa!

You guys realize how long I've been doing this?

If you would've told me 10 years ago

that I would still be sitting here,

doing this show 20 seasons later,

I would've said you were crazy.

I had no idea what I was signing up for

when I became a coach on "The Voice"...

...and it's been the greatest experience of my career.

It's a rare group of us

who have had the honor of sitting in these chairs,

and I don't take it lightly.

Four chairs!

I love coaching on "The Voice."

I love working with new artists,

helping them figure out their voice

and helping them develop... ♪ You made your choice ♪

...and they inspire me.

I can't believe "The Voice"

is celebrating its 10‐year anniversary. Yes!

It's a testament of a really great show,

a great crew, everybody that's been a part of this.

They've done such a great job,

and it's been so much fun to watch over the years.

Yes!

I haven't been here that long,

but I am honored to be a part of this milestone season

and to be amongst "The Voice" family.

Hi, everybody. I'm Carson Daly.

Tonight, we are taking a look at how our coaches built

their Season 20 live playoff teams,

and we're also celebrating "The Voice's"

amazing 10‐year anniversary.

Let's take a little walk down memory lane as our coaches

reminisce about some of their firsts on the show.

I've been here since Day One,

and I remember our very first day of blind auditions,

just like it was yesterday.

It has been truly an incredible ride.

Take a look.

You're not gonna pick me over Cee Lo or Christina.

I would have possibly.

I didn't waste my button.

Season 1 of "The Voice" ‐‐

My first impression of the other three coaches was,

what in the hell did I get myself into?

Turn back around!

I mean, here's Christina Aguilera,

one of the biggest stars on the planet.

Yes! I didn't even know how to be around somebody like that.

But, see, Blake, I consider myself country, too.

I'm from Atlanta, Georgia, so, you know?

And then here's Cee Lo Green.

The last time I saw the guy at this point

was on the Grammys, singing with Muppets.

It's gonna be okay, baby!

And here's this skinny, pale guy from Maroon 5,

and here I am, the country guy on the show.

I was so intimidated.

The only reason they even hit their button ‐‐

they knew that I would want you on my team.

Come on. You don't want to be late!

Before my first season, on "The Voice,"

I'd been friends with Adam and Kelly,

but I did not know Blake.

One more time, guys!

I've formed really good friendships

with my fellow coaches.

It's so cool. They're a part of your life now.

I miss you, Blake.

I miss you, brother.

I knew John.

Had met Kelly once.

Didn't really know Blake too well.

He lived up to all my expectations.

Do we think it's the same outfit every time?

He makes the environment on set light and enjoyable.

This is stupid!

He's a really good ‐‐ dare I say it ‐‐ ringleader.

Because of the country connection,

I got to go with Blake. Yes!

You know, I remember my very first blind audition,

and I remember thinking I didn't want it to end.

I remember how much fun I was having.

I remember my first season.

This is your first voice. My first one.

I was very button‐happy.

The first time I hit my button was for Maelyn Jarmon,

winner of the show.

What a magical first turn.

John Legend, you've won "The Voice"!

Brynn Cartelli was my first ever chair turn. Yes!

It's the first time I hit my button...

Victory! ...and I picked a winner,

Kelly Clarkson wins it!

First artist I ever got on my team was Tate.

I went on stage and coached a little bit...

♪ Dancing in the dark ♪

...which I think helped seal the deal.

Blake, you have just lost.

Sometimes you got to take that extra measure. Whoo!

Oh! Oh, okay.

Is this about to be a "Magic Mike" moment?

Let's take a look at who Nick is bringing to the live playoffs

and how these talented artists secured their spots on his team.

Being a part of a show that's been on television

as long as this show has is so cool.

It's got a legacy.

And I think my live playoff team

has what it takes to give Team Nick a win

in this very special season.

First up, his vocal powerhouse,

Dana Monique, had an emotional journey

before making it to the "Voice" stage.

I am a single mother of two children.

And we were put out of our apartment.

I didn't have anywhere to go.

We slept in our truck.

Wow.

It's tough, and in those moments,

you don't feel like you're a good mom.

I had gotten a temp job.

I didn't do too many singing gigs,

because it was important for me to be there,

you know, with my children.

It's ‐‐ It's been a journey,

and ‐‐ and they rode this wave with me.

♪ We goin' ridin' on the freeway of love ♪

♪ Wind's against our back ♪

Dana Monique did an Aretha Franklin song... ♪ Hey ♪

...and just blew all of us away. ♪ In my pink Cadillac ♪

I'm an Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan,

Tina Turner kind of girl. Oh, my gosh.

Oh, my goodness. Now we're talkin'! Yeah.

She's such a gifted vocalist, such a gifted performer.

She's an artist to watch out for.

She could win "The Voice."

I will just tell you,

as, also being a Chaka Khan fan, that...

Go ahead. ♪ I think you are the one for me ♪

♪ Team Legend is where you want to be ♪

Oh! John and I, we battled pretty hard for her.

Oh, my God. I think you and I both have a lot to prove,

and we've got a lot to say.

I think you are just absolutely exceptional.

Nick.

Yes! Yes! Oh!

I have one question before we get into it.

John sang to try to get you on his team.

And you still decided to come to Team Nick.

You said I have something to prove.

Mm. And...

I've been a background singer since I was in the 10th grade.

Yeah. And, you know, sometime when you're in the back,

you kind of get lost.

And that's where I was ‐‐ as a mother, as a performer.

And so when you said that, I was like, he doggone right.

Let's get it.

I love that.

At the battle rounds,

I gave her a challenge.

♪ So lock the door ♪

She's sort of more comfortable in the classics.

♪ Can't fight this no more ♪

So I threw her and Devan

a Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande song,

"Stuck With You."

♪ Yeah, yeah ♪

♪ Lock the door ♪

♪ Throw out the key ♪ ♪ Throw out the key ♪ She rose to the occasion once again.

She found a way to make that song her own... ♪ It's just you and me ♪

...to give this modern song her kind of take, her thing... ♪ And there's nothin' I ♪

...and it felt totally natural for her. ♪ Nothin' I'd rather do ♪

♪ I'm stuck with you, stuck with you, stuck with you ♪

Dana, you're really special.

You know, t‐there's just something magical

about your voice and your presence on stage.

Alright, Dana!

Dana Monique. In the house.

Hello. All hail the queen.

In the knockouts, Dana Monique sang

"Nutbush City Limits" by Tina and Ike Turner.

A brilliant song choice that I think only she could have

thought of for herself. ♪ Hey, hey, they call it Nutbush City... ♪

When you singing how you feel,

when you sing, you move when you sing.

You may get this off or get this off or whatever.

You know, I'm not a dancer.

I can't really dance. Well, I can.

You can dance. Yeah, do it.

I like that.

So much power,

but I think choose two or three moments

where the real growl comes in

and soften one or two of the other moments.

She did what Dana Monique does. She brought it.

That's a knockout.

This next artist, the youngest in the competition,

used music to get her through some tough times.

My dad raised three girls.

In fifth grade, my dad got remarried.

They were married for about two years,

and one day, we came home, and the house was completely empty.

She took everything and left.

I love my dad, and...

it wasn't easy to see him get hurt like that.

My biggest outlet was music.

I was writing a lot of overcoming songs

because that's my story, is overcoming.

♪ And I already tried all that ♪

♪ Said, I'm gonna let him fly ♪

♪ Mmmm ♪ Rachel Mac came out in the blind auditions

and sang Patty Griffin. ♪ Ohh ♪

With that voice,

there was no way I wasn't gonna turn my chair.

♪ The proof is in the fire ♪

♪ You touch before it moves away ♪

Ohh! Oh, my gosh! Okay.

What inspired that reaction just now?

Oh, my gosh! I love Blake Shelton so much!

Oh, my God. Hi. I'm sorry, Nick.

When I was in fifth grade,

we had to make a presentation about something we love.

It's why, I think, all of us love this job so much.

Rachel, she did a PowerPoint presentation

about me when she was in school.

Of course I love her.

I probably would've stolen her.

Jose Figueroa Jr.

I pretty much sang in church my whole life,

and that's what made me the gospel artist that I am today.

♪ Darling, I love you ♪ Jose came into the blind auditions

and sang "At This Moment,"

and it was special.

I cannot...have you pick John Legend.

Nick is gonna be just fine no matter what happens today.

He is an extremely successful artist.

But he has to split his income three ways, John.

This is a big deal.

Hey.

This is a way bigger deal for Nick.

It's gonna be Nick.

You guys can do vocal acrobatics for days.

Just make sure your intervals are close enough

to where you're actually not rubbing against each other.

♪ Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low ♪

With a song like "You Say,"

it really requires you feeling connected,

and Jose is that guy.

He wears his heart on his sleeve.

We don't have an audience on the show right now.

But the audience is the camera, and that's how the audience

at home is going to experience this with you.

Just open your eyes, connect ‐‐ even connecting with us

in this moment ‐‐ imagine we're the camera

and we need to see it and feel it from you.

♪ When I am falling short ♪

Jose just had this willingness

to take the advice and tips I was throwing out there... ♪ And when I don't belong ♪

and he just rose up and did his thing on it.

It brought me to church.

And it was a really beautiful thing.

And, Jose, you have the ability to hit your runs with precision.

You're out here swinging for the fences.

A‐And I like that ambition, that passion.

I've been pulling for Jose since Day One,

and I'm really impressed.

Vocally, Jose steps up to the plate every time. Thank you.

When he came to the knockouts... ♪ Woah ♪

...and he sang "Break Every Chain,"

his performance was emotional and powerful... ♪ I hear the chains ♪

...because it's something that's so real to him

and found a way to just open up his world... ♪ Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah ♪

...for all of us listening.

The winner of this knockout

is Jose.

Knowing I could rely on him to show up

and give a great, solid, calculated performance ‐‐

he's got all the tools as a vocalist

to come into these live shows and deliver.

Finally, Nick added a familiar face to his team.

Let's look at singer‐songwriter Andrew Marshall's

roller coaster of a journey.

Going through leukemia has strengthened me

in so many ways that I wouldn't have even expected.

It allows me to keep

pushing forward when life gets hard.

And I know that there's light on the other side.

Andrew came into the blind auditions

and sang "Gravity" by John Mayer.

♪ And gravity ♪

I've always loved the song,

and I've covered it a number of times myself,

and so my bar is pretty high... ♪ Oh, it wants to bring me down ♪

...and he really impressed me.

Congratulations. You are now a Jonas Brother.

I've been dreaming of being in the Jonas Brothers

since I was like 10 years old.

♪ I'd walk through fire for you ♪

♪ And just let me adore you ♪

The battle round rehearsals, something clicked. ♪ Like it's the only thing I'll ever do ♪

All of a sudden, he completely came out of his shell.

Vocally, he was more self‐assured and confident.

When it came time for the actual battle... ♪ I'd walk thorough fire for you ♪

...he just came at it with an intensity, a‐a joy... ♪ And just let me adore you ♪

...that I always love to see in singers that I work with.

Ah. This one is really tough.

Andrew, you did nail this.

There was a magic that came out in your performance today,

but the winner of this battle...

is Raine.

I'll keep him. That is the sound of a steal!

Man, I'm sitting here and my button still works

and somebody like you does a great job like that,

I'm gonna hit it every time.

Five minutes before I came up here,

one of my close friends, he texted me.

We met when we were both inpatient in the hospital,

getting chemotherapy.

I've been worried about him.

I know what he's going through,

and I'm just dedicating this song to him today.

Wow. That's a win‐win right there, baby.

Yeah, totally.

Andrew sings with a lot of heart,

and he's just getting better and better.

I will say, Andrew, I think you won this knockout.

You know, I honestly think that

you guys both had great moments.

who've paved the way over the last 10 years.

There's been a lot of great coaches

on "The Voice" over the years,

a lot of people I wouldn't have wanted

to have to compete against.

I have all your records,

and I even try to sing the Spanish ones,

and I don't get them right, but...

Christina ‐‐ you had to respect her career

and how talented she is.

There was one note I really wanted you to hit.

I've ever met in my life.

I think Adam had a‐a good vibe, which was just to be, like,

really kind of, like, aggressive and direct.

Miley would be the first to tell you that

she can be Crazy Miley

or she can be Serious Coach Miley.

I don't ever go with the expected.

That's what Team Miley represents.

I've known Miley since she was a little kid,

just being around her dad and seeing her grow up,

and she's just a ray of sunshine wherever she goes.

I pick Alicia.

Alicia Keys was a great pitcher

because she was so Zen and so welcoming.

It's all about how we can become

the most empowered,

powerful version of ourselves.

She made you believe that you were truly loved.

Michael Jackson, go for it. Okay.

Without question,

the most fun person was Cee Lo Green.

You never knew what to expect from Cee Lo.

The guy did these kind of interviews with a cat,

with a parrot.

I still miss that guy.

If I were an artist on this show

and I had to pick between any coach

that's ever been on this show,

I love John Legend.

I think that Pharrell's the best choice.

by snagging country singer Kenzie Wheeler

with her one and only block.

And, yes, this is a dang mullet.

I love baseball. Played since I was 5 years old.

But since I was little, I would always dream about singing.

My mom, she's always said, "Do what you love."

This is what I love to do.

I don't know if I'd be here without her, man.

You know what I'm saying?

So Kenzie came into the blinds singing Keith Whitley. ♪ Let it be me ♪

I got in there real quick with that block,

which was maybe the best time I've ever used my block... ♪ Don't pretend it's him in some fantasy ♪

...in the history of me being a part of this show.

Yeah!

I have won "The Voice" with two country singers.

I'm just saying.

She even styled her hair as close to a mullet as possible.

I did.

I ended up giving JD and Kenzie "Fishin' in the Dark."

♪ It feels so good to be with you ♪ He's very young, and he has a very manly voice.

He's always showing you

kind of a different side of him.

He's funny as hell.

and it all paid off.

I was recently on Season 19.

Did not get a chair turn, unfortunately.

Before I went on stage last season,

my mom had to get rushed to the hospital.

She was diagnosed with

small cell lung to brain cancer ‐‐

the type of cancer you just never know

how long you have.

This season, I said, "Ma, you gotta see me get a chair‐turn."

"The Voice" has just been a blessing.

This has brought an opportunity

for something my family to celebrate.

♪ And I keep dancing on my own ♪

I'm in.

Corey did the Robyn song "Dancing On My Own,"

and it was so beautifully done.

What did you think you changed

between now and then that made it work?

Staying true to who I am.

I'm an emotional‐heart guy.

This song just better fit me as a person and an artist.

I'm looking for someone to move me.

I'll go with Kelly.

Corey's got the power, the attitude,

and he knows who he is.

He really does well in that.

Kelly's newest team member, soulful singer Zae Romeo,

came from difficult beginnings

but has persevered through it all.

When I was 3 years old,

I was placed into the foster care system

with my siblings.

It was a sad experience,

but that is just the foster care system.

It's not the best place to grow up in.

My siblings and I were adopted by the most amazing family ever.

We looked on the computer,

and there was this picture of all four of them.

Okay. It's okay.

And Jim said, "That's our kids,"

and that was it.

When I think back on me as a child,

I am so proud of myself for coming this far.

The best experience of my life.

In the battles, I was at home watching it,

He just knocked our socks off.

Next, with vocal abilities beyond her years,

let's see how Gihanna Zoe

earned a spot in the live playoffs.

Finding out you're 17, too, that's incredible.

I feel like we'd be a good fit together.

So being a starving artist was never an option for me.

Pia, she came out with such spark, such fire.

Having kids has brought on the confidence in myself.

and she's been so consistent throughout this competition.

This next artist wasn't on Team Legend from the start,

but she has a place there now.

Let's see how it began for indie artist Ryleigh Modig.

Growing up,

I feel like music was a really good outlet for me.

Being gay and knowing that I was different,

I've struggled with anxiety and depression.

After I came out, I lost a lot of friends.

Everybody turning against you,

obviously, that is awful for your mental health.

If I could tell myself one thing,

it would just be to live your truth.

I didn't turn for Ryleigh in the blinds.

She sang Billie Eilish, and she did a really good job,

but I just didn't all the way feel compelled to turn for her.

But she's continued to show me that I made a mistake.

She is really cool, really impressive.

And her personality comes through in the way she sings.

And I'm really excited to work with Ryleigh.

I think Ryleigh just has such a cool tone

and cool vibe.

and went to the final three.

And I said, "It'd be incredible to get Toneisha

as a part of my group of singers live.

And so she came on and did "SNL" with me.

I'm so proud of all the people I've worked with

and the steps they've taken as artists.

It's great to see what happens kind of

life after "The Voice."

I've made a lot of friends as a coach on this show

with artists that I've worked with.

I just feel an obligation to help them

get the best opportunities that are there in the moment.

As a "Voice" coach, there's never a bad day at the office,

but for two of our coaches,

the job is especially meaningful.

People ask me all the time,

what's the greatest thing that has happened for you

since you've been on "The Voice"?

I...am the king of "The Voice"!

That's a no‐brainer, right? I met my fiancée here.

Did somebody say fashion?

It's hard to resist Gwen Stefani.

I let you have him. Did you really?

You did? Yes.

No, he didn't! Like, don't you let him manipulate that.

You know, here's this iconic rock star

coming to be a coach on "The Voice"

in a black minivan.

That was cool to me.

It's never good when your girlfriend blocks you.

This brings it to a whole new level.

I love it when she's here.

She brings a very complicated

element of competition, for me in particular.

But I love that. I love the challenge.

Blake's my best friend.

If I ever have to tap in for an emergency,

he's gonna help me. Ha!

Just knowing that she's there and she has my back

is pretty cool.

How'd you do that?

If you would have told me back in 1996

that Gwen Stefani was gonna be my girlfriend,

I would have laughed you out of the room.

You get me, you get him. You know what I'm saying?

I would have thought you were crazy.

constantly messing around every season.

I take this serious. That's why I win a lot.

I am the winningest coach in "Voice" history.

I'm gonna do it again this season.

The first artist to make it onto Team Blake this season

was R&B soul singer Cam Anthony.

I grew up in North Philly, Philadelphia.

I would get a lot of my influence, like, from music

from those days where they would have

the boom box in the middle of the street.

I started recording, like, videos.

And I put up "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars.

I think it got 8 million views and then, boom‐boom,

I was just all over the place after that.

I performed at the White House,

worked with Dr. Dre, and then I got stuck,

wasn't able to really put anything out.

Beautiful.

I will not pick anybody else

that's in his lane musically,

so I'm just hoping that you could possibly

send into his eyeballs

the mother vibe.

I think that meant a lot to him,

and he took a chance on me, and I've stood by my word,

and I've kept the lane open for him.

And he's kept his end of the deal,

which is he knocks it out of the park

every time he gets on the stage.

at the inauguration.

And I heard things I was jealous of that you did

that I would have never thought to do.

This next artist is a blast from Blake's past.

Let's look back at Pete Mroz's "Voice" journey.

I am a sales rep for men's golf apparel.

I have a mobile van.

Customers will see the guitar hanging there,

and they'll be like, "Hey, man, do you really play that thing?"

I'm like, "Yeah."

It's very difficult to leave my family.

But out on the road, this is how I put food on the table.

Love you, guys. Go get it out there.

This show is such an amazing opportunity

to show my family, especially my sons,

that you never stop chasing your dreams.

When I turned my chair around

and saw Pete standing there,

I had no idea who the guy was.

He was a complete stranger to me.

I just thought he was a great singer.

♪ And I just ain't got the time ♪

I sang under a name Pete Mitchell.

I know ‐‐ Oh ‐‐ Oh, my God. And I was a ‐‐ I was in this group ‐‐

Wow! I was in this group called The Young Riders.

I was in a group also called the Young Riders with Pete.

Oh, my God.

I just didn't recognize the guy. I'm sorry.

You were in a group with him,

and he doesn't remember you?! Well ‐‐ No ‐‐

I haven't seen this guy in 25 years!

Oh, my God.

I gotta go with the old cowboy.

Yes! My man Pete!

I loved hearing Pete sing back then.

And he was always a little bluesy.

He was country, but he also loved

a lot of different kinds of music.

So I'm not surprised to hear now

he's really not doing country music.

He's ‐‐ He's doing his own thing.

Sounds so natural ‐‐ just the texture in your voice

is ‐‐ is super inspiring, man. It's awesome. Well, thank you.

You were a great singer 25 years ago

when we were in Young Riders together,

and you're still a great singer... Thank you.

...and I thought you did a killer job.

And he ended up on the show? Yeah.

"Hey, man, what are you doing here? I thought you was dead."

That's the greatest comeback of all time, isn't it?

Jordan Matthew Young's work ethic

has been a constant in his life.

Let's see how it all started.

I grew up definitely in a blue‐collar family.

We had a big family business doing custom log homes.

My dad taught me everything about what it is to work hard,

and when it comes to music, I had the exact same mindset.

I joined a rock 'n' roll band

and, you know, completely changed my entire life.

Jordan auditioned for this show

with a classic Keith Whitley song.

You got a‐a deeper baritone‐sounding voice,

you know, and that gives you your own spot.

You don't sound like anybody else.

Now it's hard for me to imagine him

singing a song like that because I've seen him kind of

take a complete left turn from there.

♪ And I'm ♪

And Jordan's battle round is really when I realized

how powerful of a vocalist he is.

This guy can really step up to the plate and deliver.

to make it all the way to the end of this.

Finally, young pop artist Anna Grace

is new to Team Blake... She's my best friend.

...and she's been through so much just to get to this point.

When I was 17 years old,

It was the first time I got really, really sick.

It was a blood infection.

It caused me to go into septic shock.

The doctors told my parents

that I might not make it through the night.

I remember thinking in that moment,

if I make it through this,

I'm not gonna be scared

to sing in front of people anymore.

♪ I'm not here ♪

♪ I'm just a mirror ♪

Anna Grace was a very popular artist

in the blind auditions.

She did Billie Eilish.

She had four chairs turn around.

♪ I had to go ♪

I'm gonna pick Kelly.

Oh, my gosh!

♪ You shrug, and it's the worst ♪

♪ Who truly stuck the knife in first? ♪ She's an incredible vocalist.

I think she far exceeds

the kind of singers that normally venture

into that singer‐songwriter territory.

That was almost me,

and one of the lines that just really, you know,

hits me every time is, "Lord, make me a rainbow.

I'll shine down on my mother." ♪ I'll shine down on my mother ♪

Because me and my mom are so close.

She was with me every single day.

I remember laying in that bed and just being like,

"If something happened to me,

what would happen to my mom?"

The story is amazing because you overcame.

Yeah.

♪ But I've had ♪

♪ Just enough time ♪ Anna, I loved, especially when she sounded

so floaty and ethereal in some of those higher notes.

That's a really cool part of her voice.

♪ Ohh, ohh ♪

Pretty.

♪ If I die young ♪

♪ Lay me down ♪ That's what's impressed me the most about how her,

is how versatile she can be,

that how, no matter what she does,

she still sounds like Anna.

People like you are really important

to have on this show because you're so different.

That is the sound of a steal from Blake Shelton!

I think you deserve a chance to go to the lives

and prove to everybody what you can do.

I really think, looking back, that performance

is what ended up winning the show for her.

at country singer Emma Caroline from Team Blake.

That was a tough challenge for her, I know,

Your voices just floats. It's unbelievable.

I need somebody representing

some hardcore mainstream country music.

So I ‐‐ It's always hard to make these decisions.

But the winner of this knockout...

Nick's four‐way knockout artist

was pop soul singer Devan Blake Jones.

That was phenomenal.

I think these other coaches are absolutely insane

for not turning their chairs.

I felt it. I hit my button.

And the first real kind of challenge I gave him

was going up against Dana Monique.

Devan, I think that you should feel confident.

I get the sense that just, generally,

this challenge has weighed on you a bit.

And I can see that, right now,

you're even a bit emotional,

and it's okay to be emotional.

If you kind of talk the line a little bit,

without putting the pressure on yourself

to sing all those low notes.

If you put that feeling into your performance,

America will make the right decision.
