Why should I?

If you hadn't told me to leave after having Ha Ra,

I wouldn't have killed Na Yeon.

It's your fault...

Na Yeon died.

I did it to protect Ha Ra.

I had to kill Na Yeon.

What was that?

You call that an excuse?

Na Yeon was going to die anyway.

All I did was speed it up a little.

What did I do that was so wrong?

What? She was going to die?

I will do anything...

for Ha Ra.

I killed Na Yeon. Do you think I can't kill Ha Jun?

Ha Jun...

can never take over the company!

Why you! You...

Chairman Han! Chairman Han!

Oh dear. Chairman Han.

My gosh. Chairman Han. Chairman Han.

My gosh. Chairman Han.

What do I do? Oh, no.

Chairman Han. Chairman Han.

My gosh.

(Red Bean Buns)

Why does Grandma like these?

Anyway, I got the red bean buns. Mission complete!

Hi, Bong Sook. What's up?

What? Grandma fainted?

She had a stroke.

Given her age, hypertension, and heart disease,

although we did everything we could, there's a good chance...

she'll have partial paralysis...

or aphasia.

Are you saying she may wake up?

Of course, she has to wake up!

You despicable witch.

You hope she never wakes up.

I understand.

Please take good care of her.

Honey.

- Dad. - Are you okay?

You can't collapse too.

Grandma!

Grandma.

Why are you lying here?

You said you wanted red bean buns.

I got them for you.

Wake up!

I said to stay up until I got home.

Wake up!

My gosh. Master Ha Jun.

You brought her favorite red bean buns.

My gosh. Poor Master Ha Jun.

Grandma! Grandma!

You'll break my wrist.

You can't tell anyone what happened...

between Mother and me, got it?

I don't know. What exactly do you mean?

Do you mean how you went after Chairman Han...

like you would kill her...

and made her collapse, and just watched?

Hey, you.

Is that not it?

Do you mean how you gave the first madam...

a strange injection and sent her to the afterlife?

Why you...

You angered Chairman Han and pushed her over the edge.

"I'll do anything for Ha Ra."

"I killed Na Yeon. I can kill Ha Jun"...

Have you lost your mind?

You think everyone's like you, don't you?

You've misjudged me.

The things you've been doing were just so vile...

that I asked for money to extort an evil witch.

I'm not a monster that can watch someone die...

without batting an eye like you.

Fine. I'll give you 100,000 dollars. Happy?

What's wrong with you? You're a smart girl.

Do you realize how many things have changed?

Listen. Chairman Han,

who took me in when I had nowhere to go, is in a coma.

But what? 100,000 dollars?

If I sell my conscience for that little money,

I won't be able to sleep at nights.

Don't you agree?

I can give you as much as you want.

So please, I'm begging you.

I'll have to think about how much I should demand.

Gosh. I should bring Chairman Han...

some fresh underwear.

I'll go now.

Bo Mi!

Don't lift heavy things. Eun Gyul will do them all.

What has gotten into him?

Bo Mi. Why are you back so soon? You should've taken more time off.

How do you feel?

I'm fine.

It's all thanks to you.

Mr. Wang.

This is a gift certificate to the spa I go to.

Give it to your mother. And here.

This is our company's pride and joy.

Give it to your mother.

I don't know if it's proper for me to accept them.

It's my way of apologizing to your mother.

Give them to her for Parents' Day.

And make sure to give one to Ga Heun's mother.

I will. Thank you.

Ms. Hwang. Thank you so very much...

for saving Ga Heun's life...

and helping her get revenge.

She became my daughter for me,

so I'm the one who's grateful.

It was really lucky for her...

to meet someone like you.

So...

Ga Heun promised...

she'd come back to being Eun Jo once she gets her revenge.

Please help her so that she can come back as soon as possible.

You're saying Ga Heun said she'd go back...

to being Eun Jo, right?

Ma'am.

Yes.

Chairman Han collapsed?

Yes. She collapsed in her home and was taken to the hospital.

She's still unconscious.

I think the group prevented the news from getting out...

in case it hurts their stock price.

Miss Ga Heun went to the hospital once she heard the news.

Why so suddenly...

She can't pass away like this.

She tried to save...

your husband's company along with Sung Na Yeon.

She did. If Sung Na Yeon hadn't died back then,

Oman Group wouldn't have been chopped up by Geum Eun Hwa.

Anyway,

how could this happen before Ha Jun is made successor?

Geum Eun Hwa is probably using this situation.

Mr. Wang.

Find out what her people within Jewang Group are doing.

Yes, ma'am.

Eun Gyul?

I'll protect Bo Mi.

Eun Gyul. You can't protect her with a toy dagger like this.

Really? What do I do then?

I have to protect Bo Mi.

Bruce Lee said this.

I don't know who that is.

"I fear not the man who has practiced 1,000 kicks,"

"but I fear the man who has practiced"...

"one kick 1,000 times."

I don't understand.

Practice just this one thing.

Look.

There.

- Like that. - Wow.

Wow. He's super cool.

I'm going to be Mr. Wang when I grow up.

Don't worry too much.

She recovered from a stroke before too.

Chairman Han is strong.

You're right. That's my grandma.

The tigress of the finance industry...

should not be lying here.

Darn it. Why am I so nervous though?

Sun Hyuk. I don't think I'll be able to focus on work...

until she wakes up.

Take care of them for me.

Okay, I will.

I'll make sure there's no delay with the new brand.

Okay, thanks.

You know,

when she collapsed,

I was buying red bean buns.

If I hadn't been,

I could've brought her to the hospital faster.

I feel like...

my world collapsed.

What if Grandma...

leaves me...

like Mom did?

I'm so scared.

Don't blame yourself.

You must be strong in times like these.

You can't crumble.

I won't.

I will not crumble.

I rushed over as soon as I heard.

I heard she was still unconscious.

Yes. Mr. Oh is taking it very hard.

He won't be able to go into the office for a while.

You and I will have to handle the new brand ourselves.

Of course.

That's right. What happened with that man who was chasing you?

You're okay, right?

It was resolved well. Don't worry.

Are you exchanging tender looks even in this situation...

and dreaming of a beautiful future together?

Grandma...

must've been so happy, thinking Ga Heun and Ha Jun were together.

Looks like she'll pass away not knowing about you two.

Don't you feel bad for Ha Jun?

He believes you two broke up.

He'll feel so betrayed if he learns he's being stabbed in the back.

This is the absolute worst timing.

And remember.

I haven't signed the divorce papers.

Ms. Hwang is here to comfort you.

Hi, Ms. Hwang.

To be honest, I really don't want her...

to become my sister-in-law,

but seeing you struggle so much,

I realize she's the only person who can comfort you.

I'll sincerely wish for you two to get married.

Why did you come so late?

I'm so scared that Grandma may never wake up.

That won't happen.

She'll wake up.

Will she?

Ga Heun. Your man is Ha Jun.

Don't even dream of taking my husband.

(Vice President Geum Eun Hwa)

If Mother wakes up,

Byung Gook will know I killed Na Yeon.

What do I do?

Ha Jun.

I have never once forgotten about your mom.

He has never forgotten Na Yeon.

He'd kick out Ha Ra and me in an instant.

I have to make sure the old lady never wakes up.

I need to silence Bong Sook first.

Surprise!

What...

I ordered it specially from our chef.

Ha... Ha Ra. What is all of this?

Grandma is sick. I can't let you get sick too.

You need to eat well in times like these.

What?

You...

Mom.

Why can't you eat? You're breaking my heart.

You killed Ha Jun's mom...

and put Grandma into a coma...

all for me.

I got to live a life of luxury thanks to you.

Thank you.

Mom. Try this too.

It looks good. Here.

Mom. Do you remember?

The first time I heard Grandma call you...

a cheap tramp.

Mom. Don't cry.

Eat this and be strong.

It upsets me to see you cry.

I hoped...

you'd never hear your grandma...

call me a cheap tramp.

I'm sorry.

Why are you sorry?

I will never forget what happened today.

I'll make Grandma pay.

So...

don't get sick before then. You have to be healthy, okay?

I'll succeed as an actress...

and make sure Grandma never looks down on you again.

Just wait and see. I'll make it happen.

Okay.

Ha Ra. Thank you.

I'll be strong.

Yes.

You're the only one I can count on.

Don't cry, Mom.

I'll make sure what you're worried about...

doesn't happen.

I'll make sure you can take your secret...

to your grave.

Chairman Han is in a coma?

That's right. So hold off on making a return...

as DDM Queen.

Why?

What do you think? If people find out...

I'm developing a new local brand as soon as Mother collapsed,

how would it look?

The reporters will have a heyday.

They'll say the daughter-in-law is using this opportunity...

to try to take over the company.

Anyway, it's too soon for you to make a comeback.

I understand.

Ha Jun must be so down.

- I should go comfort... - Se Rin!

Don't even think of visiting her...

to comfort Ha Jun.

You're repenting right now, remember?

Also,

when is your dad bringing me my money?

I need the investment funds so that I can get started.

Tell your dad right away.

Got that? Bye.

How long do I have to lay low?

Anyway, Dad's getting the money together, right?

I can't lose out on this opportunity.

Seven million dollars?

That's all I can get even if I put up...

everything that I own?

Yes. It's impossible to get a loan for an amount...

greater than the value of the collateral.

The interest is high too.

I have no choice.

It'll only be for a month anyway.

I'll set up a meeting soon then.

Make sure to bring the titles for the collateral.

I'll text you the details regarding the documents.

Okay. Thank you for always helping me out.

You're a lifesaver.

Please set it up for as soon as possible.

But this lender hates it...

when people don't pay interest or can't pay back the debt in time,

and is called "Merchant of Venice".

I hear borrowers who break their promise lose organs...

and pounds of flesh.

Merchant of Venice?

I know.

When tenants are late on rent,

I want to sell their organs...

and get my money too.

I'll get 50 million dollars in a month.

I can pay the interest and pay off the loan in time.

Gosh. Tell them to take as many pounds of flesh...

as they want from my gut.

Gosh.

Ju Tae Sik. You'll finally pay...

for my dad's life.

Okay. Good job, Duk Kyu.

Ju Tae Sik said...

he'd give up his flesh if he can't pay.

He's blinded by greed.

Ju Tae Sik...

doesn't know how ruthless the Merchant of Venice is.

Mom. Do you really plan to show yourself...

to him?

Don't worry. I'll only use my Korean name.

Anyway, how's Chairman Han?

She's still unconscious?

Yes.

She asked me to make Ha Jun the successor.

I'm worried that she'll pass away before she sees it happen.

Geum Eun Hwa may be the reason she had a stroke.

What? What do you mean?

Actually, I was suspicious...

about Ha Jun's mother's death,

so I had Mr. Wang look into it.

It was 30 years ago, so it's difficult to say,

but Geum Eun Hwa, who was her nurse at the time,

was pregnant with Ha Ra.

Considering the timing and her character,

she may have killed her.

It may look like a mom trying to protect her baby,

but all of it may have been her evil plan.

There was a reason...

Ha Ra became a monster.

Since Ha Jun became the company president,

Chairman Han, who would help him succeed his father,

was probably a nuisance for Geum Eun Hwa.

I'm sure she hopes...

Chairman Han will never wake up.

I can't let that happen.

She must hang on until Ha Jun is named successor.

Yes, she must.

I'm having Mr. Wang watch her just in case.

That's good.

That old woman can't wake up.

Grandma. I'm not used to being home yet.

Why are you sending me to work already?

- I'm going back to sleep. - Wake up.

You need to learn your job quickly.

- Grandma. - Yes?

Yes, I moved back home because you wanted me to.

But please respect my free lifestyle.

Gosh! You need to get your act together and work hard,

so that I can face your mom once I die!

Grandma.

I skipped work today.

And I didn't eat.

You need to scold me.

Why are you lying here?

You need to smack me.

You need to yell at Ha Jun.

- Thank you. - Goodbye.

- Come again. - Bye.

My gosh. It's nice that business is good...

because we're popular, but it's killing my back.

I wish I could go to a dry sauna and put something hot on it.

I know. We don't have time...

to go to a doctor.

Hello, Mothers!

These are for you.

What? What is it?

My gosh. You got me one too?

Thank you so much.

Try them on.

These too. Ms. Hwang gave me these for you too.

What is it?

It's the spa she goes to regularly.

This is nice.

You have to live long and stay pretty, okay?

- Of course. - Of course.

It's like a boxing champion's belt.

Right? It's nice and warm.

It is.

You need to keep your stomach warm to be healthy.

- Let's use it every day. - We should.

- It's so warm. - It's nice.

Seeing Ha Jun lead the meeting...

reminds me of the day you became the company president.

Mother. I didn't shake nearly as much.

You were worse.

Don't you remember me putting an anxiety pill into your mouth?

Ha Jun didn't take anything.

- Really? - Yes.

You prevented the executives from grilling me...

back then too.

Gosh. They are still the same.

They just want to tear down the new president.

Time is so cruel.

This is all I can do for you and Ha Jun.

You need to be Ha Jun's shield from now on.

I will.

Anyway, I have no regrets now.

I can finally face Na Yeon again...

once I die.

It's all thanks to you that Ha Jun was able...

to do so well.

I was...

so afraid that you'd let that evil witch brainwash you.

Anyway, I'm glad your love for your son was steadfast.

Good job.

Thank you.

Thank you, Mother.

Sir. We took care of business regarding the new brand.

The president's absence was not noticed.

Good. Thanks.

If it weren't for you, the executives would've complained,

saying the new president was irresponsible.

It was my pleasure.

As for the meeting tonight with the Dubai department store...

that Mr. Oh was scheduled to attend,

why don't you attend it yourself?

Sure. I'll go to that.

Are you all right?

Yes, I'm fine.

Here's the 100,000 dollars you requested.

I took it from the company's funds since it was urgent.

You took it from the budget for the department, right?

They're the slowest with their accounting.

Yes. But if this gets out during an active audit,

the chairman will be very angry.

You must put it back as quickly as possible.

Don't worry.

Ju Tae Sik will bring me my money soon.

This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't told her...

about the first madam.

I'm sorry, Master Ha Jun.

Hi, Bong Sook.

You look terrible.

Go home. Wash up and get some sleep.

She'll be upset if she wakes up and sees you like this.

She'll ask for me as soon as she wakes up.

Hi, Sun Hyuk.

Sir. I think you'll have to go to tonight's meeting yourself.

The chairman is too worried about Chairman Han and isn't well.

Okay. I'll go.

I have to go to an important meeting.

Please call me right away if Grandma wakes up.

I'm terribly sorry.

I'm a scum of the earth for lying to you and siding with Geum.

How can I make it up to you?

Are you blabbing again already?

Don't you feel any guilt?

But then again.

- You're a murderous monster... - Here's 100,000 dollars.

This wouldn't have happened if you gave it to me sooner!

Stick to Mother's side.

If by chance she wakes up, call me right away.

I'll give you much more once she's gone.

I guess I'll get my bonus...

after Chairman Han's funeral.

It won't be hard...

to serve her until her final moment.

I should do at least that much...

to rid myself of the guilt.

Ha Ra.

Ha Ra.

Please save Star.

Ha Ra.

If you're gone.

I can have...

Sun Hyuk.

It has been only five years for me.

I've endured only five years...

after killing Eun Jo to take that secret with me...

to the grave.

How did Mom endure hiding that big secret...

for 30 years?

Now that Grandma found out,

she must be so miserable right now.

Hello, Director Choi.

Tomorrow's scene was revised, so I sent you the new script.

- Review it. - Okay, will do.

It's in a hospital room.

Ms. Geum left the office and just went into her house.

Who's at the hospital?

Their housekeeper should be there.

I see. Okay.

I'll stop by after work.

Hello, Director Choi.

Ha Ra loved the revised scene.

She even joked that it would help if she did a dry run.

Her passion for her art is amazing.

She did? That's good.

I'll see you at the shoot.

A dry run?

She'll practice a murder scene?

Grandma.

Why did you do it?

Why? Why?

(Miss Monte-Cristo)

Mother woke up?

I'll be better.

Get away from my son.

You need to pass away...

so that I can get four times the pay.

Did you switch over to the evil witch's side already?

You've heard the rumors about me, right? I'm the Merchant of Venice.

Sign here. The contract with the Merchant of Venice.

I'll transform into DDM Queen and do a live broadcast?

This is the perfect return of a queen.

Mother. He's asking for a divorce...

purely because of this girl, Ga Heun.

Sun Hyuk wants a divorce because he's having an affair?
