we could use her boat

and she said
she wouldn't let you drive.

[Ryan laughs]

I don't quite trust him.

[Chase] So, you're going
to take us to work today.

[Ryan] Where are we headed?

[Chase] So we are headed
to meet Nate and Kirsten Laflin

at their camp in central Maine,

right on the beautiful
Cobbossee,

that originally was a boathouse.

They've got two young girls.

And they're ready to, uh, put
some love back into the place.

[Ashley] Cool. So it must be right
on the water, then, if it's a boathouse.

[Chase] I mean,
you can't get much closer,

besides being over on the water.

[Ashley] Cool.

[Ryan] Oh, I see kids waving.

- Hello.
- Hi.

Wow, look how close it is
to the water.

- I'm Nate.
- I'm Kirsten.

I'm Ava.

I'm Layla.

[Nate] We're the Laflins.

There we go. I got it.

So they call it
the Little Red Camp,

built in the early 1900s.

It was part
of a larger tract of land

owned by the Boston Globe
publishers.

And it was a retreat for them.

They came up, enjoyed it.
It was originally a boathouse.

And they moved it
back a little bit

and made it
into a three-bedroom camp.

[Ryan] Thanks for the ride, Mom.

You guys have a good day.

a little kiss on the cheek.

[all laughing]

- [Nate] This is the camp.
- [Layla] This is the camp.

We love it.

- Thanks.
- It's beautiful.

Cool! I love the color.

[Chase] So, this originally
was a boathouse?

[Nate] Yes, that's correct.

We think it was set
probably in that cove

where you can see the old header

where the boat opening was
for the camp.

And it's pretty interesting.

Big trees
have grown up next to it.

So, it's been here a while.

So, what would you like
to see done to the cabin?

Start with underneath.
Jack it up a little bit.

Kind of get it
on some solid support.

We'd like to kind of make
the bathroom a little bit bigger,

and if it's within our budget,
do a second floor if we can,

looking out over the water.

What do you think
your sister would like?

Waterslide.

- Yeah!
- Waterslide!

[laughing]

[Chase] Nice!

[Kirsten] But, yeah, when you first
walk in, it's a pretty tight squeeze,

so, to get the kitchen
kind of expanded

and not have it like a traffic
jam right when you get in.

[Ashley] With just one door?

[Nate] One door in the front,
one door in the back.

But this one, if you go in,
you open the door.

If you're in the bathroom,
when the fridge is open

-you can't get through.
So it's-- -[laughing]

- It's all kind of right in one little section.
- Yeah, yeah.

We've seen that before.

And how much do you have
to put into the project?

$40,000.

[Chase] And, you know, we're
getting later into the season.

We'll get the camp
back to you before it's...

- Before it's iced over.
- [Nate] Yeah.

Twelve weeks, we'll say.

I'm hoping. [laughing]

We just need a set of keys.

We're ecstatic that
we get the opportunity

to have Maine Cabin Masters
come in and do their thing.

[Kirsten] Well, and everything
they do, it's just amazing.

We absolutely love it. So, seeing
them finally showing up at our camp,

it's very exciting.

We're very eager
to see what they do.

[Chase] Oh, this is
a galley kitchen.

- Is this the bathroom?
- [Ryan] That's the bathroom.

- [Ashley] This is not what I was expecting.
- Hoo!

Not a whole lot of room.
You get this here.

Oh, you're not going anywhere.

- [chuckling]

I need to go to the bathroom.

- I need to get to the dishwasher.

Whoa! This is interesting.

Little step there.
Look out for that.

I know, it's like, wah...

Oh, this would be fun
in a storm, wouldn't it?

[Chase] Hoo, I don't know.

Oh! Nothing special.

This outside wall seems
plumb but nothing else does.

Nothing seems plumb to me,
everything seems, wah...

That bedroom's tiny.

- She needs some serious love.
- This is a cool room, you guys.

[Chase] It's bigger than it
looks but it's still tight inside.

You feel like you're
walking into a boat.

- You feel like you're on a bout.
- You definitely do.

[Chase] You look out the
windows, you're on the water.

On the inside
of the Laflin camp,

we are going
to move the entrance

so that the kitchen
and the bathroom

and then everything
isn't so cramped.

Put new windows around,

open up the living area
with a porch area

and go from three tiny bedrooms

into two decent-sized bedrooms.

And because we can't add
a full second floor

due to budget constraints,

we're going to add an additional
sleeping loft space for the family.

I like it.

- Doesn't get much closer.
- This is awesome.

[Ryan] Well, luckily we can
get under the camp right here.

[Chase] Look, there's a little
window opening for the loft.

[Ryan] Oh, yeah, you can see how
there used to be an opening there.

The boat probably went
right under there.

Yeah, this definitely needs
to be reposted.

On the outside
of the Laflin camp

we are going to jack-level,
repost everything,

reattach the front deck,

replace any rotted sills,
new windows, new siding

and do a fun little project
for the girls.

A waterslide
off of the front deck.

Easy enough.

[Ryan] It needs some
serious love and attention.

[Ashley] It needs some gutting.

And some lifting.

And some tearin'.

And some cuttin'.

And some scrapin'.

- And some pushin'.
- And some paintin'.

[laughing]

[Ryan] Call the guys
and get on it.

[Ashley] Call the guys
and come back tomorrow?

[Chase] There was a
giant pine and oak tree

growing up,
right up against the camp.

Harry came in, took them
both down skillfully.

[Ryan] Dumpster matches
the house.

[Chase laughing] Yeah,
it blends right in.

This is it. The Laflin camp.

This used to be a boathouse.

It's sat out over the water,
pretty old,

so who knows
what we're going to find.

But the goal today is
get it gutted.

All furniture, everything in there
is getting heaved at this point.

Feel free to put it in your truck
to save room in the dumpster.

- Yeah.
- [laughing]

[Chase] Have at it!

It's demo day
at the Laflin camp.

Major concern is
it's so close to the water,

it's sitting in the ground,

massive trees were
growing up right beside it.

So there's definitely
going to be rot.

Nah, boathouse. That right here.

Then they moved it over
where Jedi is right now,

but you see that stump?

They moved it
before that tree grew. So...

That's over 100 years ago.

I think this camp was one of
the oldest camps on Cobbossee.

[Ryan] Oh, that's a sleeper.
That one's a sleeper.

Bringing down the walls.

We've been wondering
what's behind these walls

and today is the day
we get to find out.

This place is being
held together by plexiglass.

Everything is rotted.
Like, this place is bad.

So... it's gonna...

And a lot of glue.

We knew we were going to have
99 problems,

and probably then some.
And rot was a big one.

With the front wall out,
well, the sunroom is...

rotted to-- It's gone.

Rot.

[man] We knew we'd
have to find rot here.

I'm going to play
a trick on everybody.

Help! You guys, help!

Jeez, the whole thing's
coming down. Help!

[smooth music playing]

[Ryan] There's not much
holding this together at all.

That one's good.

But that's rotted.

We're at the Laflin camp
doing demo

and it's going pretty well.

If I wasn't a true professional,
I'd be really nervous.

But I do know that these other
posts are holding the roof up, so.

I'm going to play
a trick on everybody.

Help! You guys, help!

Jeez, the whole thing's
coming down. Help!

Help! Oh, my God.

Thank you. [laughing]

I just played a little trick on
the guys. That was pretty fun.

Now I know who's
got my back and who doesn't.

[laughing]

Hey, you guys are the best.

You guys are the only one
that ran for me.

Neil and Jake, two of the
newer guys, came to my rescue.

So they're now my favorites.

They bumped up past Jedi,
Dixie, BT, all those guys.

It is really weird.

If I look through this hole
right here,

I can see light coming from an
apparent window outside in the gable end.

But when I look up here, I
see sheathing and insulation.

Something going on right here

and it's probably
just an insulation of sorts.

[Chase] The original camp
was a boathouse moved back

and you can kind of see
where that started.

And then a shed dormer addition
off the side had been put on.

And, I mean,
it's right out over the water

where Ryan was pulling off
the front of the camp.

He ran into rot

and, you know, it's really only just a
few 4x4 uprights supporting the camp,

so we have to make sure that, you know,
that part of the roof is still supported.

And if not, we definitely need
to get some supports in there.

Next step really is
just try and get underneath

and start lifting it up.

At least fixing the sills and
posts, you know, leveling it out.

It's going to be a little tricky just
because the walls are so wonky,

but get it looking pretty.

[saw buzzing]

Is the start of week two
at the Laflin camp,

and we are in for it.

This thing is as bad
as we were thinking.

And bad is bad.

This is probably the most
challenging sill job we've had,

but we got the right team
here for it.

There's not much left
on the sills,

but I'll tell you, the guys
have done a heck of a job.

Justin, BT and Jason,

they got it about a foot,
a solid foot,

a foot and a half higher
than it was.

And now it's time
to redo the sills.

It's going to be a long week
of just getting under there,

get rotted sills out
and replace them.

We had to rip up a good
section of floor system

just to get
at these rotted sills.

And to top it off,
there's poison ivy everywhere.

Welcome to Maine. Figures.

You know, the weather's turning,

we have poison ivy, we
have rotted sills everywhere,

but we knew a big part of
this budget was going to go

to getting this camp
out of the dirt

and on good footings.

It's gonna be
the hardest one yet,

but we'll get it done.

[thumping]

[drill whirring]

[saw buzzing]

[Chase]
We are at the Laflin camp.

It is week three
and we are working on

figuring out windows
and interior layout.

And what I kind of figured...

Doorway here
that would swing this way.

Doorway to the bathroom
would be over here

swinging that way.

And that gives you
plenty of room for a shower,

toilet, vanity.

Before it was really congested.

When you walked in the door,
you had the kitchen right there.

It was your main entrance,
you had your bathroom

and you just couldn't
maneuver around.

So we're shifting the door
over a little bit to the right

pushing one wall back

so that the flow in and out
is much smoother,

there's not that bottleneck.

That also allows us
to enlarge the bathroom

without making it feel
too cramped.

You have your kitchen start...

basically right there,

wrap around...

I think now we just need to
figure out what size of windows.

The camps sits pretty much
at the water's edge,

so they really want big windows

to take advantage of that,

so you can really feel like
you're sitting right there.

So it's just a matter
of figuring out

how to support them structurally

and how to make it work

within the confines
of the space.

Uh-oh!

[upbeat music playing]

Trying to figure out what
we've got for a header up there.

Because we need to put some
good-size windows in here,

and we want to make sure we
have a decent enough header across

supporting the roof weight,

and that's not going to crush
down onto the windows.

Uh-oh!

Going for it.

We wanted to make sure
that the windows

were properly headed off
and supported.

The header
had been wrapped with pine

and furred out to, you know,
make everything match.

So, started peeling into that

and just found more places
where mice have been living,

dashes of old acorns,
old insulation,

refuse, all that stuff, so.

The demo is never
really quite all done

until the camp is... well,
never really quite all done.

So, we know what
we're working with here.

I guess we got to do the same
thing, kind of, out on the porch.

Get it all uniform.

So, we can go right around and say,
"Okay, this is what we're going to do

to all of these
waterside openings."

You know, now we can start
rebuilding the interior walls,

start framing up
the new windows,

start working on siding,
all that.

But windows is definitely
going to be the big hold-up.

We can only go so far
until we have the windows.

Thirty-six.

Thirty-six door.
Let's call it 38.5.

You know, it's definitely
getting into the colder later fall.

It's right on the water so weather
is going to be a huge factor

and we need the windows
as soon as we can.

The window lead time
these days is so long

that typically we buy stock
windows, so they're easy to get.

But because they want
bigger windows

to get more light in,

uh, we're going to have to, kind of,
find out what's going to be the quickest.

[upbeat music playing]

We're getting towards
the end of week three

and we are moving on
to rebuilding.

[whirring]

[thumping]

This camp
was originally a boathouse.

It sat out over the water,
had an open floor

and boats-- you know,
you park your boat in it.

Because the camp
didn't have a floor system,

the walls were kind of...

You know, they had
some play to them.

So, we need to build a new wall,

to support
the floating ceiling system.

[upbeat music playing]

It's the end of week four,

and we're still waiting
on windows,

so this week, the guys are
working on putting in the loft.

Originally, the camp
had three tiny bedrooms,

but we're converting it
into two larger bedrooms

with a new loft space that
will also have sleeping area.

That looks good though.

[man] Yeah, doesn't it?

Yes, it really does.
It just... It fits so well.

The camp is looking great now.

But it was pretty bad once
it was up and out of the dirt,

just seeing
how extensive the rot was,

how out of whack everything was,

but Justin and the guys
really just brought it back.

They got it as close
as they possibly could.

It's-- You know,
it's at a good point.

And now,
they're framing up walls,

getting everything supported, to
put in nice, good-sized windows

to really take advantage of how the
camp is sitting so close to the water.

[Ashley] The Laflins camp
previously was a boathouse,

so I thought maybe we'll get
a little red boat to go with it.

- Hey, Dan.
- Hi, Ashley. How are you doing?

- Good. How are you doing today?
- Very good.

Puffin Boats makes
these cute little dinghies

and so I'm heading on up
to check them out.

Oh, look at this Puffin boat.
This is adorable.

I really wanted to do
something special for the girls

and I just thought
a cute little boat,

since it is a boathouse,
would be fun.

- Oh, perfect.
- But it's going to be winter.

There's a possibility that
the ice could be in by then.

So, that might be a bummer,

- but I still want to go ahead and do it.
- Yeah?

And I think that these
are really adorable.

Well, I got an idea.

I have two little girls.
They're-- They're getting older

and they just grew out
of their Puffin bed.

- A bed?
- A-- Yeah.

Actually, it's real simple.

You can use it as a boat
in the summertime,

or if you have a guest
or whatever,

- it can serve as a guest bed.
- Do you have pictures?

- I do.
- Can you show me?

- Yeah. You can't visualize.
- Show me what you're talking about.

So, I was talking with Dan about
the boats, and then lo and behold,

he tells me that the boats can
actually be turned into a bed.

- Look at these little kids.
- Those are our girls.

- They're adorable.
- Yeah. They're a lot bigger now.

Oh, my gosh, this is awesome.
This is amazing.

I'm so excited.

We're going to get this
new boat for the Laflin girls,

but they're going to be able
to sleep in it,

and then
when they grow out of it,

they can use it as a boat.
How cool!

This is going to be perfect.

Oh, my gosh, look,
it has a cute little stand.

Doesn't everybody want
to sleep in a boat?

Without even getting seasick?

They call it
the Little Red Camp,

so it's going to be cute
to have a little red boat.

And now it's going to be
inside as a bed.

They're never going to want
to leave camp.

It's week five
at the Laflin camp.

We're still waiting on
some of the larger windows,

but some of the smaller ones
came in.

So, Justin and his team are
working on getting those installed.

[Justin] I'll tack this corner.

And from there, really all
that's left is trimming them out

and they can get started
on the siding.

[Ashley] The homeowners
really didn't have a preference

on whether I change
the color or not,

so I decided
on a nice neutral color.

But I definitely want to keep
some red,

because they do call it
the Red Camp,

so red trim.

I think it looks great.

[Chase]
So, back at the Laflin camp,

used to be a large pine
and oak tree right here.

That got cut down, ground down.

And they put up
this new novelty pine siding,

red trim, really makes
the windows pop.

On this side, we ended up shifting
the entrance door a little bit this way

to make more room
for the bathroom.

Expanded the opening here,
so that you don't feel so crowded.

Kitchen is going to run
right along here.

And then we reframed
large windows facing the water

and opened this all up,

so it's one nice big room now.

And really
just wraparound windows,

new doorway out
onto the front side.

[rock music playing]

Right now, Dixie, Scott
and I we're decking this over

with this really nice
2x12 tongue and groove stuff.

Yeah, we should be able
to wrap this up in no time.

Doug's here working on plumbing.

And then, first thing
I started off with

was attaching that front deck
back to the camp.

Hey, boss, did you have
a plan for that front deck?

I have a question
about this whole "boss" thing.

[laughing]

- [Ryan] You're the lead man now.
- Just a quick question.

What-- What pay bump comes
with being boss man for the day?

- Free lunch, I told him, right?
- Free lunch.

Ryan sent me a text
this morning,

and, uh, shipped
Brian and Justin out of here

and basically made me the boss.

- Is the drill here?
- Yeah.

Somewhere.

We got the lags in there.

- Lag it up?
- Lag it up.

Okay.

Cool.

You know,
we're always bouncing around

and Jay, BT and Justin have
been on this job the most.

I needed Justin and BT
to go on another job.

[Jay] I want three weeks
of vacation time.

So, Jay comes up the ladder.

[Chase] So, the Laflins,
they've got two little girls,

and one of their big requests
was a waterslide into the water.

Probably not safe to do one
off the roof,

and it's awfully big.

But if we get this deck
reattached,

and we don't have railings on
it, so we've got to build those.

Possibility of even putting it
off the deck,

so that you could just slide
right into the water.

Pretty easy.

[upbeat music playing]

- Do you like that, boss?
- Love it.

[Ryan] This build was
built in 1897 as a boathouse.

It was pulled back off the water

and it was sitting in the dirt.

We brought it up almost a foot.

It's still not 100% plumb.
You know, it's a little tilted.

This building's 200 years old.
It's never going to be perfect.

So it makes a lot more work in the
long run, because nothing's square.

You know, on a new construction,

we can just go 95 and
3 1/16ths the whole way.

This is going to get about a
1/16th to a 1/8th shorter every time.

I think you gotta come down
this way a little bit.

Yeah, baller. Oh, nice.

Jay called and said
that you needed some help.

He's done a darn good job.

You know, I thought he gave
Ashley the day off. He didn't.

But that's okay, because we
all know she's the real boss.

And I always have two bosses.

Here, Ashley, you can hold it

You know, cut guy is
one of the first jobs you get.

I still am the cut guy
when I can be. I like it.

Trying to figure out the next cut
and, like, work ahead of somebody.

You know, I don't really want
to do it anymore.

That thing kicked on you.

Sometimes with the grain
of the wood,

the wood gets stuck
into the saw blade

and it really scares you.

You know, it will bounce
right back up and,

unfortunately,
that happened to Ashley.

All of mine are perfect, if you
would like to peek at my perfect...

[Ryan] Should I cut that?
You see that? Look.

Perfect? I think so.

But luckily, it seems like they have
the siding pretty much squared away.

I don't think
I want to use that anymore.

So, I guess it's probably time
to put the saw away.

[Chase] We got the deck reattached
on the waterside at the Laflin camp,

and the two young Laflin girls had asked
about having a waterslide into the water.

Probably could stand
to be cleaned up a little bit.

So I thought it would be fun
and safe

to have the waterslide
go off the deck.

And the deck is about this
high, so it should go out pretty far.

And like I said, I need to find a way
to safely secure that to something

and then make it removable.

You know, I've been hanging
on to this slide for a while.

So, like, 30 inches
and if it was a 2x8,

that would probably
be the ideal.

I've been wanting to use it
in a project

and it just hasn't really
fit anywhere.

Perfect.

So, this is
the perfect use for it.

It's light, it's plastic,
it can get wet

and, you know, it's
easily put on and removed.

So I think
it should work perfectly.

So that's going to sit
right to the edge there.

It's important to make
the slide removable,

because it is going
into the water.

Cool.

On bad days,
when it's windy, rough,

you don't want it there.

So, it's one of the things,

it'll probably be
stored under the camp,

but it's easily slid out
when the kids want to use it.

Those will go down...

...like so.

And you'll get years of
fun out of it.

Okay. So, imagine this was
the side of the deck.

And this is the slide.

Kids show up on a hot sunny day,

want to go play.

Dad comes in.

Slide down into the water.

And then at the end
of the day, you're done,

Dad slides it back
under the camp.

And that's it.

[Ryan] We're at the Laflin
camp things are going well.

Finally the windows
came in today.

[man speaking]

[man 2] Yeah.

We've been waiting
for these windows.

We were nervous they were going to
come late and they came just in time.

The guys put those
windows in this morning

and it looks unbelievable.

It's all glass.

It literally feels like
you're sitting on the water.

Oh, you know what they say?
Like a glove, Brad.

Now all we gotta do is get
the rest of the siding on.

[saw whirring]

Beautiful.

Next big step is getting
the electricians in here,

insulate, sheet, floors,
then we're out of here.

Sounds easy, but it's a lot.

[funky music playing]

So, we're back at the Laflin
camp, close to wrapping it up.

We were able to get
the electrician in here

and now we've got the team
working on flooring the loft

and getting the walls closed in.

Camp looks great.

You know, there's more room now,

two bedrooms, larger bathroom,

the kitchen's going to go
right here,

kind of wrap around that
corner just make more space.

Today we are focusing on
getting windows trimmed out.

Really got
good-sized windows here

to really take advantage of
how close it is to the water.

We reattached the deck
out front, new doors,

and we'll have a waterslide
from the deck down into the water.

So this is where the waterslide
for the girls is going to be.

I built this bracket.

I got the waterslide
in my truck.

It'll just sit over that.

So, this will have a gate.

It's removable, kids sit here.

Slide right down it.

[saw whirring]

[Jedi] We got most everything
on the upper trimmed right out.

And we're gonna start clearing
some stuff out,

working our way out of that
bedroom into this main room.

Then we're going to get
this floored out,

and we're going to work
ourselves right out of this camp.

Bill was supposed to help me
with the waterslide.

But Bill hasn't seen anyone
in a while,

so it's basically Bill walking
around and talking to everybody

and keeping everybody else entertained
while I work on the waterslide by myself.

'Cause Chase installed it

You need to go down
on your butt to get it clean.

I was doing something outside,
I looked over

and she's in the water with a
long-handle broom in December.

Today, we're back here
at the Laflin camp.

So, Chase got the poly in here.

Now it's finished and it's dried

and now my team
can come in and decorate.

And after that's done,

all we have left is to hand the
camp back to the homeowners.

So the Laflin camp is done.

Winter is here.

Officially, and it is
freezing cold and snowing

but the camp looks awesome
and we're giving it back.

Because it's the Red Camp,
I kept the red trim,

changed up the color.

And on the inside, just kept it a
nice clean look with red accents

and went with the
old boathouse feel.

All right, how cool is this?

- [Chase] Very.
- [Ashley groans]

- They could launch it right from their window.
- I know.

- That way a little more.
- Which way?

- There we go.

Okay, cool, now I have these.

[Chase] You know,
it was an old boathouse

that was definitely rotting
into the ground,

had a monster tree
growing up beside it.

So, we cut the tree down,
lifted the camp,

replaced a lot of rotted
sills, reposted everything,

and just more area inside.

And the girls had asked
for a waterslide on the front.

There is a waterslide. Nobody's
using it today, but it's there.

- Looks good.
- Let's go meet 'em.

[Nate] Wow, they took
that huge tree down.

- A couple of them.
- [Kirsten] Oh, my God.

- Oh, my God.
- [Nate] Wow.

Hi, welcome back.

[Nate] Look at that.
Doesn't even look the same.

[all exclaiming]

- What do you think?
- Wow. That looks... That looks amazing.

Yeah, yeah. Way different.

The first thing we saw
coming down

was it's no longer the Red Camp,

- it's the Red Trim Camp.
- [Kirsten laughs] Yes.

We can't wait for summer
time, I can tell you that.

Yeah, so, a little chilly today,
so I'll try and keep this quick.

You know, the big pine
and oak tree are gone.

We got the stump ground down

and we were able to get in there
and see just what was going on.

There were some
seriously rotted sills,

so first step was get
the camp up out of the dirt,

get it reposted and
leveled as best as we could,

and then we pretty much
replaced the sills along this side

and this side.

And, you know, it was old
board and batten, it was red.

So, we kind of peeled off
the batten,

went over that
with this novelty siding.

You know, it's a gray
semi-transparent stain.

It's got all new windows
throughout, new doors,

- new electrical, new plumbing.
- [Kirsten] Wow.

- So.
- Oh, my Goodness.

A whole new camp.

- Yeah.
- [Ava] Wow.

Can't wait to see inside.

What do you girls think?

- Yeah.

- [Nate] Girls first.
- [Kirsten] You ready, girls?

[Kirsten] Oh, my goodness.

[Ava] This is so cool!

[Kirsten] Doesn't look like
the same place at all.

This is crazy.

[Nate] This is great.

[Ashley] It's so crazy how
you're on the water like this.

- [Kirsten] This is nuts.
- [Nate] That is cool.

- Does it look different?
- It's so cool. Yeah.

[Kirsten] And I love how open
it is. It feels so much bigger.

You know, before, the doorway
was kind of centered in that part.

Like you said, everything
was kind of tight right in there.

So, we moved the doorway over,

we opened this up more,
shifted the kitchen this way,

kind of wrapped it around to
give you more kitchen space,

and that allowed us room
for a bigger bathroom.

Check out your new
bathroom and bedroom.

[Nate] Look at the handles
on the doors.

Oh, that's awesome.

Look how big
these windows are, too.

And the layout just allows for better
movement throughout the camp.

And the bigger windows
in the bedrooms,

it just brightens the camp up.

And it's just
so much more light.

[Nate] It does look cool, yeah.

[Kirsten] I'm gonna go peek
at the bathroom real quick.

You can actually fit. [chuckles]

- Wow, look it, there's--
- [Nate] Even a closet.

[laughs] Yeah, that was
totally what I was gonna say.

[Nate] What a neat little detail
with the handles on the doors.

[Chase] Yeah, yeah, it
just gives it that camp feel.

It does.

- Do you guys wanna head into the next bedroom.
- Amazing. Absolutely.

Wow, this is... Wanna go?

[Ava] So cool!

Look at that bed.

[Ashley] And the best thing
is, when you grow up,

you can lift it up and put it
right out in the water,

and it's a functioning dinghy.

[Chase speaking]

We have our own room.

And it's way bigger.

Yeah.

[Chase] We figured since it
was originally a boathouse...

- We'd put a boat bed in it.
- It's fitting.

- Mama, up there! Look.
- Yeah?

She is going to sleep
in the new boat

and I am going to sleep
in the loft.

Whoa!

This is so cool!

Isn't that cool, huh, Layla?

My gosh!

We're going to put a sign,
"No boys allowed!"

I mean, that's something
I think would've been so fun

as a kid to be able to come
out to camp, swim in the lake,

and then, you know, have your
own special designated area.

Really cool.

[Chase] So, yeah, we know
it's cold right now,

and you guys had requested
a waterslide.

So, go look out the front.

- [Layla gasps]
- Oh, my gosh!

- That is so cool.
- [Kirsten] You wanna go look at it?

Don't slide in!

[Ashley] You don't want
to slide in today.

[Ava] Whoa!

[Chase]
So it's easily removable,

but it will be ready for you--

[Ashley] It'll be ready
for you in the summer.

- [Chase] Or once we have ice.
- [Nate] Yeah, that's right.

It can be an ice slide.

[Ava] The new waterslide
is awesome

because if we're playing
water tag,

I'll use the slide
and get a head start,

and I'll be able to tag Layla.

[laughing]

We know there wasn't really
a timeline to get done,

but we wanted to get it done
before winter.

- So, we got it done--
- Just in time.

So, yeah, I guess we just have
to hand you back the keys.
