- Humble official... - Wushuang...

pays respect to Your Majesty

I beg Your Majesty

to consider that Concubine Du’s pain of losing her child

has blinded her for a while.

If she really wanted

to kill me,

she would have destroyed

the antidote after poisoning me.

There was no need for her

to send it out of the palace.

Thinking about her kindness,

I ask Your Majesty to show mercy.

All this

will be decided after finding

Concubine Du’s child.

Nie Wushuang,

I do not need you to play a cat weeping over

a dead mouse (shedding crocodile tears)

and plead for me.

Do you think I am stupid enough

or do you want to impress

this cold-blooded Son of Heaven?

Gao Yan, you are too presumptuous.

After I married into Great Lan,

all you wanted from me

was to get the other half

of the treasure map.

When I gave birth to Qin'er,

have you ever come to see me?

But Qin'er is not my own flesh and blood.

This woman

has been pampered

since she entered the palace,

but deep inside

she is in love with your brother.

Is it not a crime

to deceive the monarch?

As for the empress and empress dowager’s deaths,

which one of them

has not lied to you?

And yet you are cruel only towards me.

Is this fair?

Is this how a ruler should conduct himself?

Is this fair? Is this fair?

Apprehend her for me.

Even if you kill me today,

there are still many people

working for Great Li in the imperial harem.

Let go of me! Let go of me!

Even in afterlife

I will wait for you with a smile!

Let go! Let go of me!

Pass my verbal decree.

Tell the world

that if the King of Li Gao Yang

does not return Li State children within three days,

I will burn evil demoness Gao Yan

outside the palace gate to death

to appease public anger.

Imperial Concubine Du

Jiao Tong, there you are at last.

Hurry up and bring me out of here.

Take me to my Imperial Brother.

The person Imperial Concubine was looking forward to see so much

has unexpectedly built up a pyre

to burn himself to death with Qin’er.

Gu Qinghong!

Gu Qinghong!

What are you doing here?

Your Majesty King of Lan,

It was this old man

taking Qin'er that made

King of Li vent his anger on Great Lan.

If you want to calm this matter down,

this old one must destroy all his remains.

I implore Royal Highness King of Lan

to protect Concubine Du

and Qin'er’s lives.

Only this way

we will get all those

stolen children back.

Having one’s house in ruins and family members missing

is the most painful thing in the world.

Gu Qinghong,

these are all Gao Yang’s excuses.

If you set yourself on fire,

you will only sacrifice your life in vain.

Wait.

Gu Qinghong, don’t act on an impulse.

The child is innocent.

He will not survive without his father.

Qianqian,

it is because of me

that Gao Yan has been angry with you.

Me and her child

will make amends to you for this.

Go away!

Let go! Let go!

Go away!

Gu Qinghong, you do not have to cover for me.

I will not

apologize to her either.

What are you doing here?

You want to burn yourself to death?

Why don’t you burn Qin'er

with you as well?

In this way, we will end all the problems

and have nothing in common anymore.

Give Qin'er back to me.

Nie Wushuang, give Qin’er back.

Don’t give him to her.

She will kill the child.

Give him to me!

Gu Qinghong.

Who do you think you are?

I am not the only fish in the sea.

Just look at yourself.

You are nothing but

and old man with grey hair.

Xiao Fengming,

do you think you can entrap me here?

Wait till my Imperial Brother comes.

We will conquer and ruin

all the countries in the world.

When we unify north and south together,

we will go

to the strongest country in outer space.

That place is rich in gold and ore.

It is like spring all the year-round.

There are richly decorated jade palaces and people soar in the sky.

Women are graceful and men are imposing.

Men live between heaven and earth.

And who are you?!

Audacious!

Gao Yan, I am telling you,

they are lying to you.

There are no lustrous palaces.

There are only glaciers everywhere.

Wushuang is right.

Grand Tutor and Jiao Tong

would not lie to me.

It is you who want to

put a show before me

and lie to me.

Stop dreaming.

I would never believe it.

Commoners are willing to burn someone to death.

If you burn

Nie Wushuang here today,

maybe I will let my Imperial Brother

let you live.

Stop dreaming about it!

If Gui Jiao’s Heavenly Warrior

succeeds,

no one in the world will have a way to live.

I will not believe

in anything you say.

Give me back my child.

Child! Give him to me!

Do not give him to her!

- Give him to me! - You cannot!

Don’t hurt my child!

Save me!

- Gu Qinghong! - Gao Yan!

Save me!

- Save me! - Yan'er!

- Yan'er! - Xiao Yan!

Save me!

Quick!

Jiao Tong, save me!

Put the fire out!

Nie Wushuang!

Save me!

Xiao Yan!

Guards! Put the fire out!

Save Gao Yan!

King of Rui's Consort have seen

your injuries.

She said they can be cured slowly.

It will just take some time.

I do not need your pity.

Gui Jiao, Jiao Tong

have always treated you two

as their puppets

I don’t want to listen to it.

Why do all people love you?

Why I, Gao Yan, cannot get any love

in return for all the affection that I gave others?

Loving

is not about scheming and calculating.

It is not about suffocative possession.

You cannot use love as an excuse

to hurt others.

It depends on how much you are really willing

to give the other person and how far can you change for him.

I beg Your Majesty to spare this female servant.

Snake!

Snake!

Is this fair? Is this fair!

Even if you kill me today,

there are still many people working

for Great Li in this imperial harem.

I saved your life!

There is no road

od retrogression for Gao Yan.

I dared not tell the others

but the Celestial Elder Sister told me

that when I grow up I will help the ruler

to accomplish a great cause.

I know that the ruler

means “the emperor”.

But I do not know what love is.

Love means

that I will always be with you

and that we always love each other.

If you don’t repent

and persist,

then Gao Yan

will not be worthy of being loved your whole life.

You have been living in your own prison

and never came out of it.

You went to see Gao Yan.

She is so proud.

This was truly a huge blow for her.

Gao Yan did so much to you

and you still cannot let go of her?

We have known each other since childhood.

This is not

a state I want to see her in.

Is the situation between me and Third Elder Brother not the same?

These days,

I also believed that the Third Elder Brother

did not really want to do these things to me.

I thought

that as soon as you get better,

I will take you out of the palace.

But I know

that you will not come with me.

Can you really leave everything behind

without any worry?

I want to see Lan State settle down.

I want to see all the people

to have a stable home.

I will put on the battle robe

my mother made me for this battle.

Fengqing...

Did you not say

you want to make

a robe especially for me?

Make sure it is ready-to-wear

when I come back.

Proud and pathetic Gao Yan.

Always unable to face

her own failures.

In the end,

she chose to escape

and save her life in such an extreme way.

Imperial Brother,

is Heavenly Warrior really so terrible?

Lan State is on the verge of peril.

Everything depends on what will happen in three days.

General Miao has informed me

of your kindness towards your brother.

Imperial Brother,

Wushuang has gradually got better.

Maybe this Heavenly Tear gemstone

will be of use to you.

Take Heavenly Tear gemstone

and Wushuang and leave from here.

Go to a place

where there is no war

I will not leave.

I believe Wushuang

will also not want to leave either.

You are this country’s ruler.

Heavenly Tear gemstone in your hand

will symbolize us brothers uniting again.

As long as the whole country can work together,

all difficulties

can be solved easily.

Fifth Younger Brother...

Third Elder Brother...

Gao Yang never fights

an uncertain battle.

He is so domineering now.

This shows that his Heavenly Warrior

is ready to fight again.

His power

was probably also increased.

Go. Quick.

Hurry up.

Go.

Kneel. Kneel. Kneel.

Your Majesty,

All blacksmiths are here.

New Heavenly Warrior was completed

and the old one repaired.

We are just waiting for Your Majesty to give orders.

Yan'er, you will not die in vain.

In three days time,

this whole world

will finally belong to Gao Yang.

I have been waiting for this moment for too long.

I want to see my child.

All right.

I will be kind this once.

Call Jiao Tong over.

Behave. Stop shouting.

Behave. Don’t move.

- Don’t move. - What are you doing?

Kneel. Don’t move.

Child!

Do you hear that?

Send these useless people on the road.

With Grand Tutor’s Heavenly Warrior

I am determined to get the supreme treasure.

Remember,

keep an eye on

Xiao Fengming’s sixth brother, Yun'an

He is that young monk

from Donglin Temple.

I heard that the phoenix eggs

were discovered by him.

After Lan State is destroyed,

Grand Tutor will lead the unification of north and south

and will give me supreme power

in exchange.

Official knows that Your Majesty

puts utmost trusts in this official.

Official is also willing to share

the secret weapon

with Your Majesty.

In order to advance and retreat with Your Majesty,

official is willing to find the secret treasure.

Three days ago,

when Gao Yan lost her life,

the war between Lan State and Li State

has already begun.

If we cannot win Gao Yang,

we must get to the supreme treasure

before Gao Yang and destroy it.

Once it falls into the hands of a tyrant,

the whole world will be destroyed.

But the secret of the supreme treasure

is only known by Third Elder Brother.

Since Fifth Younger Brother is willing

to give Heavenly Tear gemstone to me,

how can I enjoy the secret

of the supreme treasure all alone?

The mystery of this treasure

is also related to you two.

What Father has left

was actually a mnemonic rhyme.

Take Heavenly Tear

to protect Donglin.

When phoenix arises

the supreme one will appear..

The supreme one will appear.

The fertile land has been destroyed.

The people have no means of livelihood.

Many people are also suffering

from losing their children.

I am afraid that the riots will start

even before the real war starts.

I have received a report.

King of Li Gao Yang

has sent a lot of expatriates across the country

who pretended to be my Great Lan’s soldiers.

They killed a lot of

innocent people.

Gao Yang, this animal.

Handing over Qin’er

may be the only way

Concubine Du is finished.

If Gao Yang

gets the news about it

and learns about our involvement,

he will not let us off.

No matter what,

this is our only way now.

I have to give it a try,

This matter started with me.

I have to save the lives

of more than dozen children.

No.

Doing this

will only put us all

in a dangerous situation.

At that time,

there will be no chance to negotiate.

Reporting to Your Majesty

General Miao requests an audience.

All right.

Ask him in.

Yes.

Withdraw first.

I have something to discuss

with General Miao.

- Younger brother is taking his leave. - Younger brother is taking his leave.

Fengqing.

Pay attention to your safety

when facing Gao Yang

and Gui Jiao.

Imperial Brother, please rest assured.

When the Great Lan crisis is over,

we shall finish the feud

between us.

Rest assured.

My life will be yours sooner or later.

What was Xu Huanshan’s activity?

Humble official has checked everything.

Everything is as usual,

without any suspicious traces.

It seems that he was not involved in this matter.

Fortunately, he knew nothing about it.

Otherwise,

I would lose another

trustworthy person.

I still remember Your Majesty has

especially sent Xue Bi

to protect the granaries outside the cities.

Humble official has sent

Wang Shijie to the army camp

to arrest Xue Bi’s accomplices while he was away.

Humble official believes that Xue Bi

has received the news about it already.

Your Majesty,

shall we send someone

to arrest him?

No need.

The meticulous work of exposing his identity

is no longer of any value.

Besides,

there is no need for me to do it.

With Gao Yang’s character,

if he knew

his granaries were

full of vacancies,

he would blame it

on Xue Bi

and let Xue Bi taste

the real consequences.

Your Majesty,

Princess Yunle is also

following Your Majesty’s strategy.

She made good arrangements.

I believe

it will be soon proved whether Imperial Concubine Shu

is also an accomplice.

Official pays respects to Your Majesty

Grand Tutor.

Is something unusual going with Heavenly Warrior?

Their fighting spirit

is not lesser than Your Majesty’s

I just wanted to hear

Grand Tutor saying this.

Official has something to say to Your Majesty.

Dd the Xiao brothers

surrender to me?

Replying to Your Majesty,

things in the granary we have captured a few days ago

has changed.

Speak.

This morning,

when this official wanted to collect the grain,

I have suddenly realised that the grain

was only stored in the first row

and the back rows were full of sand.

The same thing happened

in the other three granaries.

No wonder everything went so smooth

for Xue Bi.

Xiao Fengming

set us all up.

he already transferred all the grain

to other granaries.

Xiao Fengming,

what a figure.

Even Xiao Fengqing and Nie Wushuang

were kept in the dark.

It seems that

he wanted to be misunderstood by them

and force them to leave.

Is there such a great brotherhood

in this world?

I don’t believe it.

Your Majesty,

do you still want to distribute the grain today?

Do you want me to pay for it myself?

Kill all the people who came

to get the grain.

We were taken advantage of for so many days,

it is time for us to become the real devils.

Remember,

those who take action

should wear Lan Army’s uniforms.

Yes.

But Your Majesty

Xue Bi’s life...

Do not stir the grass and startle the snake.

His life

will be Your Majesty’s sooner or later.

Grand Tutor,

let Jiao Tong

go to the city and find Qin'er’s whereabouts.

If possible,

bring him back.

I understand.

Even if Xiao Fengming has guessed

that Xue Bi is my hidden spy,

he will never guess that

I have another one

hidden in his imperial harem.

Imperial Concubine,

do you want to go back and take a nap?

I would not bother to come to Yi palace

if I did not want to set an example for all six palaces.

Till when is Eldest Prince going to sleep?

The snacks are getting cold.

Then...

Why don't maidservant go and wake him up?

Forget it

Take the snacks and heat them up.

Yes.

Xue Ke pays respects to Imperial Concubine Shu.

This robe

is the new phoenix robe made by

locking embroidery for Her Majesty.

Princess Yunle instructed maidservant

to go to the garment bureau and get it back.

There is nothing for you to do here.

Go and check if Eldest Prince

woke up.

Give the phoenix robe to me.

Uhm...

Are you deaf?

Yes.

Xue Ke pays respects to Princess Yunle.

Did you get the phoenix robe?

I did.

I chose that fabric for Imperial Sister-in-law

together with Imperial Mother.

Therefore, this phoenix robe

is particularly meaningful.

Who knew that...

Where is the phoenix robe?

Imperial Concubine Shu scolded maidservant for her coarse hands.

She took it from the maidservant

and brought to Her Majesty’s bedchamber.

What happened with your ear?

It got infected with ringworm.

If you have a ringworm infection,

you have to apply powder to it.

Did you apply the medicine?

I did.

How did you get infected?

When I was sleeping,

I accidentally pulled off my earring.

It’s nothing serious.

I will check if Eldest Prince

woke up.

Imperial Concubine Yun,

you may have no appetite

but the imperial heir in your stomach

needs to eat.

Princess Yunle should

call me Pin Yu in the future.

It seems that

His majesty was aware of it since the very first day.

When the imperial heir in my belly is born,

I do not know what fate

will await him.

Recently His Majesty

has been upset because King of Li

has confiscated the granaries.

His Majesty has no time to blame you.

You can give birth to the imperial heir with peace of mind

and wait for your reward afterwards.

Official's wife greets Royal Highness.

Please.

His Majesty exchanged all the grain

in the granary for sand.

King of Li must have learned about it already.

This morning, he ordered his man

to pretend to be Lan State’ soldiers

and kill many people

near the porridge stall outside

The rice in granaries occupied by King of Li

is fake?

Imperial Brother has long

carried the grain from the main

granaries away.

King of Li has access to Lan State’s uniforms?

It looks like he has a spy planted in our army.

According to King of Rui,

His Majesty already found this spy.

He said he will bring him to justice.

Who is it?

This is a matter of great importance.

King of Rui also did not want to disclose anything

but him and General Miao

will wait for him at the palace.

He said they want to chop off his head.

Those men think only about fighting and killing.

I am really not interested in it.

Talk first.

I am a little bit tired.

Yu Xiao.

I was afraid of revealing a weak point just now.

Rest assured.

If she does leave the palace to find Xue Bi,

it will prove that His Majesty

and General Miao are right.

Yunle,

I...

I will be free soon.

Moreover,

Imperial Mother and Imperial Sister-in-love’s deaths

can also be redressed this way.

Don’t shoot!

Fuxiang!

Your Majesty...

What… what is the meaning of this.

Old subject does not understand.

What...

What is going on here?

Tell your father about your relationship

with that rebel Xue Bi.

You...

How can you be so base?

I, Xu Huanshan,

has no such shameless daughter like you.

You have lost Xu Family’s face!

Xu Family?

You did not give me any affection

since I was a child.

You raised me in luxury

only to send me to the palace

to establish your Xu Family’s

position in the imperial court

And you...

People all over the world call you Your Majesty.

You have named me Concubine Shu (淑 - Shu - warm and virtuous)

but you have refused to give me even a drop of affection.

I used to think

you had a heart of stone

but then you brought Nie Wushuang

to the palace.

You doted on her so much.

I understood that it is no you who is loveless

but you just did not want to give your love to me.

I would do anything

for Official Xue.

I met with Official Xue

but I did not expect Empress Dowager

to come back from Yunle’s that night.

What about the empress?

Empress

was also killed by me.

Empress Dowager had

one of my earrings in her hand

when she died.

Empress got hold of it.

She wanted to drag me and Xue Bi

in front of you to acknowledge our crimes.

I knew you would not spare him.

How could I let her ruin Official Xue?

One was your aunt,

the other was your cousin.

Is it not equivalent

of you comitting murder and adultery?

Little Ziyan lives

in a nightmare every day.

He is your own nephew.

You want to say that the injury

that Yunle has discovered

is not ringworm infection

and that you often went to Mingyue Palace

just to meet with Xue Bi.

But I never thought you were the culprit

that killed my mother and my wife.

And you

have ceded all your properties

to Xue Bi privately

to let his rebel forces grow up

and turn their backs on great Lan?!

Do you deserve to face Great Lan?

Do you deserve to face your elders and seniors?

Do you know that your crime

is punished with the extermination of nine degrees of kinship?!

Your Majesty, cease your anger.

It was this old subject who did not educate this woman in a proper way

Old subject is willing to die for his daughter.

Fuxiang,

why are you still so stupid, even when

Xue Bi walked away and evaded his responsibility?

What did you say?

Impossible.

Official Xue would never leave you alone.

It must have been you,

You must have forced him to do so!

Very well.

Under these circumstances,

I am willing to bear everything alone.

It has nothing to do with the Xu Family.

Father,

Fuxiang is tired of living.

Fuxiang!

Fuxiang... Fuxiang...

Fuxiang...

King of Rui,

leave your Heavenly Tear gemstone

and let Heavenly Warrior play with you.

These wicked pieces of junk.

I am not interested.

These are not pieces of junk.

These are native planet’s imperial guards.

They are really powerful.

I really wanted to see who is it?!

The upright King of Rui

actually did the sneak attack

and made such a despicable trick.

before you start with your nonsense,

take a look under your feet.

You are standing on Great Lan’s soil.

Who exactly

implemented a sneak attack

and despicable tricks?

Come.

Show me your real martial skill.

Do you think I will destroy

Heavenly Warriors that I worked so hard to build?

Or are you ready to

perish with them?

Even at cost of my own life,

it will be worth destroying

these three Heavenly Warriors.

I won’t let you die.

I will wait for your mother to appear

and then kill you in front of her.

What mother?

Why should you wait for an old woman?

Since King of Rui has come,

do not leave.

Long time no see, Prime Minister Gu.

What? Did you come here

to repay your debt of gratitude towards me?

Did you steal

all these children

for Gao Yang?

Of course.

Do you know

that I find is delightful

when they cry?

Evildoer.

Do you know why

I did not save Gao Yan that day?

Because she can only be a match with such an old man like you

when her face is burned.

Is Prime Minister Gu trying to

save these children?

Unfortunately, it is too late already.

King of Li has decided

that all these children

will be killed

when we come

to Jiankang tomorrow.

You inhuman thing.

Marvellous!

Really marvellous.

I am convinced that King of Rui’s

martial arts are unparalleled.

And our Prime Minister Gu

got old again.

One of you is bent on destroying Heavenly Warrior

while the other steals children, right?

There are so many children and babies.

Can the two big men

steal them all?

Rest assured.

There is no child missing.

I even gifted you one more.

My and Gao Yan’s child,

Qin'er.

What did you say?

My nephew?

You! Go and have a look!

There is one more.

One more?

We just brought King of Li’s

nephew here.

Do you think I will believe

your nonsense?

You found a baby at random

put it among the others

and believe that

I will let these children go?

What a joke.

Naturally, we cannot prove

that what we say is true.

You can also

follow your original plan

and kill all the babies.

Then the blood of the Gaos

will end in your hands.

Gu Qinghong,

you are not such a cruel person.

That is your own son.

I dared to put Qin’er here

and have already decided

to let him live or die

with those children.

Jiao Tong,

bring the gloves.

Your Majesty,

now is not

the time to show your strength.

The siege

will start in a day.

Then

you will make them kneel before you,

the only true monarch.

Very well.

I will let you live one more day,

Go back and tell Xiao Fengming

to eat well tonight.

I will

make tomorrow’s day a memorable one.

Elder Sister!

King of Rui came.

How is it?

Did the plan succeed?

Was Heavenly Warrior destroyed?

I have to go to the imperial study later

and discuss tomorrow’s day with His Majesty

and your Eldest Brother.

Promise me

that you will bring back

all the missing babies.

This...

Is this the robe you made for me?

Didn’t you once say

that you wanted me

to make you a robe myself?

I think

that when this robed is finished,

everything will be fine again. (lit. after a storm comes a calm)

After everything I have been through,

I do not want to think

about what your mother

told me when I was a child.
