Give it to me!

No.

Give it to me!

No!

You often hold it in your hand.

Give it back to me.

It was him who gave you this jade pendant, right?

Give it back to me!

Is this your love pledge’ token?

Give it back to me!

Stop dreaming!

I will bury this jade pendant

together with the other things!

No! No!

Princess...

The one of yours

was finally lured out by this imperial son-in-law.

Miao Minghu, you are really courageous.

Xue Bi,

is this how a man acts?

You sue your victim before you are prosecuted yourself!

(you are the real offender and still dare to complain)

You seduced Princess

to make a fool of the imperial son-in-law?

You can insult me all you want,

but you should not insult

Princess Yunle.

You do not deserve her!

Whether I do deserve her or not,

Yunle is my wife!

What has it to do with you?!

Return it to the Princess.

Miao Minghu, Xue Family

has been utterly ruined since you appeared.

I will not leave

today’s matter at that!

Don’t!

Xue Bi,

if I see you

injuring even a strand of hair

on Princess Yunle,

I, Miao Minghu, will never let you off.

Shijie, let’s go.

Give it back to me.

Reporting to Your Majesty,

the rice fields in Nanchang County and Linjiang County

were destroyed overnight.

The flower beds and crops

in Jiangling County near the capital

have suffered in large numbers.

Rebellious people claim it was the wrath of Heavens.

People are panicking.

Did it all happen in just these two days?

Did it happen one by one

or at the same time?

Replying to Your Majesty,

this occurred one by one everywhere.

Prime Minister Wang,

it would be good to send someone

to these dwellings to see

if the situation is identical.

Replying to Royal Highness,

the flowers and trees planted in the dwellings

have not been damaged at all.

I think

it was all caused by a man’s hand.

The purpose of such a move

was to shake popular feelings.

We have to break up the factions in the imperial court then.

Younger brother thinks

that the doer is circumspect and far-sighted.

This method is similar to the earlier method of bringing

plague to the Lan State by the Li State refugees.

It must have been done by a person that loves

to use vile methods.

Does Fifth Younger Brother

have a suspect in mind?

Younger brother sent Deshun to track this person

three days ago.

Reporting to Your Majesty,

King of Rui Mansion’s Deshun asks for an audience.

Summon him quickly.

Yes.

Summon Deshun.

Deshun pays respects to Your Majesty

and Royal Highness King of Rui.

Rise and talk.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

How is the situation?

The situation is like this.

Two days ago

a person left Guanju Palace

to hasten home for the funeral.

This humble one is incompetent.

He traced this person to Linjiang County

but found no trace of him afterwards.

Sure enough, it was her.

Who?

Replying to Your Majesty,

we have discovered earlier that a maidservant Jiao Tong

that was brought to the Guanju Palace upon marriage has iron arms.

Your Majesty,

Imperial Concubine Du can be summoned

to sound her out on this matter.

Don't stir the grass and startle the snake for now.

After all, Concubine Du

is currently pregnant.

Furthermore,

no matter how weird Jiao Tong is,

I believe that my Fifth Younger Brother

has the ability to cope with her.

Son, hurry up.

Cut it quickly!

The crops in Nanchang

were destroyed overnight.

All right.

Royal Highness King of Rui.

What are they doing?

I have long guessed

that it was you who would use

these sorts of tricks, demoness.

King of Rui and I come from the same parent star.

if I am a monster,

so is King of Rui.

You have destroyed Great Lan’s paddy fields.

I am not going to let you off.

Heavenly Tear gemstone is not at your side.

Has it returned to the Sacred Priestess’s side?

It has nothing to do with you.

Since I

cannot expose you in the palace,

I will execute you on the spot

today.

What’s glowing over there?

Run! Everybody, run!

Don’t run away!

Since you destroy everything

I will give you a taste

of being destroyed.

Xiao Fengqing!

I finally see

your true colours.

I'm warning you.

In the future, you should never step

into Lan Palace again.

If you cruelly injure or kill the commoners and living things

I will definitely not spare you!

Your Majesty is brilliant.

Your Majesty.

It does not matter.

It is just a scratch on the palm.

Is Your Majesty worried about the King of Rui?

Your Majesty,

should this humble official send someone

to assist King of Rui?

No need, I have faith in King of Rui.

Hurry and send for the imperial physician!

No need.

I want to take a walk by myself.

Withdraw.

Your Majesty! Your Majesty!

Your Majesty! Your...

Why is it exactly the same as before?

How can it be the same as before?

There is an extraordinary energy

in our blood.

Now that I have transferred it to you,

you will have the same

extraordinary abilities

as your Fifth Younger Brother.

You will become more powerful.

Phoenix star was turned

into a dark wasteland

just because

of the power struggle between the most powerful ones.

The birds that sing and flowers that Your Majesty sees

were what we once had.

It was our greed

that has destroyed the happiness

that nature brings us.

I hoped that Heavenly Tear gemstone

could absorb the positive energy here

and bring back the vitality

to our planet

and let the subjects of our kingdom

feel

the beauty of this world.

Will Fifth Younger Brother be leaving as well?

He is just like you

and he is the king of our planet.

All the officials and subjects

have high expectations towards him.

Our kind-hearted subjects of the kingdom

are waiting for him.

But only Fifth Younger Brother

treats me like a relative

in this palace.

Meiren Ji,

I know you hate my Imperial Mother

and Imperial Father

so you want to take

all these beautiful things

away from here.

Far away from it.

I hope Your Majesty

can protect these beautiful things

for thousands years to come.

Tomorrow, when the sun rises,

a virgin should irrigate the imperial garden

with the water from the inner pool.

Everything will return to how it was then.

I hope Your Majesty will take care of yourself.

Meiren Ji,

I will do anything to have

Fifth Younger Brother stay here with you.

Life always prevails over death.

For the sake of the big cause, Your Majesty

must learn how to let go.

I ask Your Majesty to take good care of yourself

Your Majesty,

twenty underage maids have been waiting

for the sun to rise in the imperial garden.

His Majesty and King of Rui are still in the imperial study,

together with Wang Sengbian,

General Miao and several other ministers.

If the flowers

will really bloom again today,

Your Majesty’s new policy

will also see the dawn.

Pass my verbal decree.

All the imperial concubines in the six palaces

should join the irrigation group.

Concubine Du and Concubine Yun are excused from attending.

Maidservant shall obey.

Invite King of Rui's Consort as well.

Yes.

His Majesty has arrived!

May Your Majesty be blessed with peace and happiness,

Rise.

You may continue.

Your Majesty, King of Rui, it’s a true blessing.

The flowers in the imperial garden are blooming again.

They are even better than before.

Congratulations, Your Majesty.

The rumours in the streets have collapsed.

Fifth Younger Brother, this is all your credit again.

Empress,

why are my all beloved concubines here?

This female servant wanted to do

her best for Your Majesty with her sisters.

But apart from Zhaoyi Nie

and King of Rui's Consort,

the others did not see the flowers

spring to life when they watered them.

Tomorrow, when the sun rises,

a virgin should water the flower beds

with the water from the inner pool.

Everything will turn back to normal again.

Your Majesty,

did this female servant do something wrong again?

I have something to say to you.

Wushuang has nothing to say to you.

Maidservant will withdraw first.

There’s no need for it.

Just stay with me.

Can I accompany you

instead of Xia Lan?

My mother helped Third Elder Brother to rejuvenate the flowers.

Maybe it also represents

the rejuvenation of me and you.

Please conduct yourself with dignity, King of Rui. People will talk.

You cannot fool me.

My mother said

that the irrigation will only be effective

when it is done by a virgin.

She just wanted to tell me

that you have never served.

We can still

make a fresh start.

Then King of Rui's Consort...

I married Du Ruo

because I wanted

to stay behind and protect you.

I wanted to look at you from afar.

Do not talk anymore.

I think Meiren Ji

let King of Rui know about it

because she wanted to test King of Rui’s

brotherly affection towards His Majesty.

If King of Rui is wilful,

it will ruin your friendship with His Majesty.

It will collapse at the first blow.

You will be bond to become

Empress Dowager’s tool to attack His Majesty.

Besides,

I will never accept

anyone’s love again.

Because my love

will only hurt people around me.

Just like more than 100 lives

in our Miao family.

Is there no news of Jiao Tong returning to the palace?

Replying to Imperial Concubine,

Jiao Tong used the pretext of hastening home for a funeral

and we haven’t heard from her since.

Basing on Jiao Tong’s loyalty towards me

she would never leave on her own.

Could it be that something happened?

But the flowers in the imperial garden

were revived today.

Zhaoyi Nie has led the others to water the flowers.

The limelight is on her now.

If His Majesty discovers...

Shut up.

Do you not see that I am irritated enough?

Go and fetch some hot tea for me.

Yes.

You are just like your father.

You love to torture me

and make things hard for me.

Imperial Concubine,

Li State’ envoys have come from afar,

bringing the items that prevent miscarriage.

Imperial Brother has learned that I am carrying an imperial heir.

He must think that I have taken roots

and that all is settled here.

The envoys are waiting for Imperial Concubine’s reply.

Li State is represented by Mengjin

who is working for Prime Minister Gu this time.

Hurry and invite him in.

Yes.

Mengjin pays respects to Royal Highness the Princess.

Do not bother with the ceremony.

What is so important that Imperial Brother

has sent Lord Meng to Lan State?

His Majesty was overjoyed to learn that Princess

was pregnant with a dragon fetus,

so he has sent this humble official to bring a congratulatory gift over.

Imperial Brother is very considerate.

Please tell Imperial Brother

that Yan'er is grateful for Imperial Brother’s concern

I am currently in Lan Palace

and Li State is a thousand li away.

I am extremely homesick.

Lord Meng,

does the court know about the happy news?

The court knows about Imperial Concubine’s joyous news.

If I remember correctly,

Lord Meng was

Prime Minister Gu’s subordinate.

I do not know what reaction did Prime Minister Gu show

when he heard the news.

Humble official was especially

sent by His Majesty here

to share the news about Prime Minister Gu

with the Princess.

Lord Meng, please continue.

Replying to Royal Highness the Princess,

Prime Minister Gu has left

a letter with his resignation

and has been missing for ten days already.

What?

His Majesty is furious.

He is worried that Prime Minister Gu will go south to Great Lan.

He hopes that Li State’ Princess will not act

on the spur of the moment

and act impulsively.

Your Majesty is going to post

a reward for catching Gu Qinghong soon.

Withdraw for now.

Princess, take care.

Imperial Concubine should not indulge in wild flights of fancy.

Maybe Prime Minister Gu goes south to Lan State

in order to reunite

with Imperial Concubine.

Improbable.

The person Prime Minister Gu

cannot let go of

will never be me.

If you want to know where he is now,

just keep

a close watch on Nie Wushuang.

Flowers in the palace

were revived within one day.

The rumours have collapsed itself.

Maidservant has also heard

that King of Rui has defeated

a weirdo with iron arms in Jiangling County.

If it happens to be Jiao Tong,

Concubine Du will have problems with sleeping and eating.

Moreover,

Elder Sister and King of Rui's Consort are both...

Xia Lan,

stop talking about it.

It is nothing spectacular

to never serve the monarch.

These words will also hurt King of Rui's Consort.

Maidservant deserves to die.

Xia Lan just wants

Elder Sister to be happy.

I know.

I know it all.

Perhaps falling in love with me

is already a misfortune.

Where did the pigeon come from?

Let’s settle everything in Donglin

on 15th at night.

Elder Brother, you are finally here.

Qianqian, why are you looking for elder brother?

Take a look.

Let’s settle everything in Donglin

on 15th at night.

I heard that

Gu Qinghong resigned ten days ago.

Gao Yang was really angry.

This is his handwriting.

I think he might want to

go to Donglin Temple

to settle the Miao family’s issue once and for all.

He is still a man.

As long as he is not Li State’s prime minister

his personal feud

will not affect diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Qianqian,

do you have a way

to go to Donglin Temple on the 15th?

I have thought about it.

I have some friendly relations with Concubine Yun.

She is carrying an imperial heir now.

I could go to Donglin under pretext

of praying for her.

All right.

I will try to

go to Donglin Temple before the 15th

and end my blood feud with him.

What?

General Miao wants Princess Yunle

to go to Donglin Temple to pray?

Yes.

Be sure to arrive

at Donglin Temple before the 15h.

General will find a way

to infiltrate the convoy.

This is really is a matter of great importance.

It must be resolved at Donglin Temple

General Miao said

that only Princess Yunle

can help him.

Rest assured.

Please tell General Miao

that Quizi will pass this message to the Princess

Wonderful.

Great Lan is full of hope again.

Your Majesty’s new policy

will no longer be shaken by rumours.

I heard that King of Rui revealed

Jiao Tong’s real appearance

and expelled her from the Lan Palace.

Imperial Concubine will not be

threatened by her anymore.

Really?

Let’s go to Cuihua Pavilion.

Let’s go and tell Zhaoyi Nie

that we do not have to be afraid of Concubine Du anymore.

Imperial Concubine Yun is in such a hurry

to share the news with Zhaoyi Nie.

Are you sure

that I have really lost?

What do you want?

If the real Concubine Yun was still alive,

she would follow me to the end.

Chunxiang.

For how many days did the emperor not come to Shangyuan Palace

to pay respects to me?

Since the revival of the flowers in the imperial garden

His Majesty was busy with the state affairs

and had no time to come to Shangyuan Palace.

What about Yunle?

Is she still blaming me for unjustly accusing Miao Minghu

of willing to run away with her?

If Empress Dowager wants to gather information

on His Majesty and Princess Yunle

then this humble one can go Longyin Hall

and ask Eunuch Lin.

No need.

Yunle is my princess.

I naturally understand her personality best.

No matter how much she blames me,

she is still filial to me.

As for the emperor,

I should get used to the days

when he is not around.

What is

Xue Mingyi’s situation now?

Replying to Empress Dowager,

After being placed in Pingnan Mansion

under house arrest, Xue Mingyi

has been reading some books on the art of war.

He has not seen anyone else

but Lord Imperial Son-in-law.

This old fox

is competing with me in perseverance.

Son pays respects to Father.

I heard that you had

a fight with Miao Minghu

in the imperial garden because of

Princess Yunle.

How did Pather learn about it?

Although father is imprisoned at home,

the stupid things you do

in the palace

will in some degree

reach my ears.

How can you be a man who does great things

when you can’t even read the book on the art of war properly!

Father, calm your anger.

Son will reflect on himself.

Forget it.

How is the relationship

between Empress Dowager and His Majesty

nowadays?

After the revival of the flowers in the palace

His Majesty’s prestige was re-established.

He did not pay respects

to Shangyuan Palace for several days already.

As for Empress Dowager’s Ci'An Garden,

the construction has also started.

Bi'er,

do you still remember

what father once told you

about that Qingyan monk?

I do.

Father said he is our Xue Family’s

protective talisman.

But son took a look

on that Qingyan monk

and found him dull and fat-witted.

Find a way

to not let anyone know about him

and hide this monk

well for me.

Keep him far away from Donglin Temple.

Remember,

not even a strand of his hair can be missing.

Why is that?

You should just do what father orders you to do.

As for why,

father will tell you everything when the time comes.

Father wants to know

if you can really do it.

Rest assured, Father.

He is just

a helpless young monk.

This task will be very easy to fulfil.

Go.

Everyone is on time today.

Do you want to tell me something?

Reporting to Your Majesty,

this female servant, ever since she got pregnant with an imperial heir

has been plagued by nightmares

and feels ill at ease.

This female servant wants to ask Your Majesty for permission

to let Zhaoyi Nie and Concubine Du

accompany this female servant

to go to Donglin Temple to pray.

Your Majesty,

since marrying into the Lan Palace, this female servant

has caused many unwarranted quarrels.

I heard Donglin Temple is a millennium-old temple

The light of the Buddha shines on everything.

If I could go with Elder Sister

Concubine Yun together,

I could firstly pray for a blessing

for His Majesty and his offspring

and secondly

Zhaoyi Nie accompanying us

can eliminate the rumours

of discord between us two.

It is rare for Concubine Du to be this sensible.

The revival of the flowers is a good omen.

I will go as well

to thank Buddha for his blessing on behalf of the six palaces.

Yunle,

why don’t you go with the Imperial son-in-law?

Imperial Sister-in-law,

is it necessary to travel with the Imperial son-in-law?

Did you not say

that you were going to Donglin Temple

to pray for harmony between husband and wife this morning?

Imperial son-in-law came to the Yi Palace before you

and was of the same heart as Princess.

As imperial sister-in-law, it is natural to pay attention to such things.

Fifth Younger Brother seems to have something on his mind.

Imperial Brother,

I have knocked this Jiao Tong down

and confirmed that she does have iron arms

and inhuman eyes.

Since she accompanied Concubine Du Gao Yan

to Great Lan,

why did the Imperial Brother not interrogate Concubine Du?

Is it because

that Concubine Du is pregnant with an imperial heir?

Do you think Concubine Du

will wait nervously for me

to ask her about it?

Sometimes betraying no emotion

can make people feel even worse.

Does Imperial Brother wants to wait till she

gives birth to settle this account with her?

I haven’t decided yet.

Reporting to Your Majesty,

Concubine Yun and Concubine Du

ask Your Majesty to grant them permission

to go to Donglin Temple

with Zhaoyi NIe as their companion

to pray for imperial heirs.

Princess Yunle and Imperial son-in-law

will also join them

to pray for marital harmony.

What a lively company.

Who will be the duty commander

in charge of the escort this time?

The humble one inquired about it.

It should be Wang Shijie.

Wang Shijie is Miao Minghu’s

right-hand man.

Is he acting as a smoke cover

for Miao Minghu?

Why would Miao Minghu

want to go to Donglin Temple?

A few days an envoy from the Li State said

that he was visiting Concubine Du

upon the order of King Li.

He also brought a message

that Gu Qinghong resigned and disappeared

more than ten days ago.

Does Your Majesty think

Gu Qinghong will show up

at Donglin Temple?

I am just guessing

that maybe he has asked to meet with someone in the palace

or that

someone in the palace asked him to meet.

Is someone seeking a way to escape or a way to get revenge?

It will only be clear

when it

actually happens.

Imperial Brother, why don’t you send

younger brother to find the truth?

Those closely involved cannot see clearly.

I will send another person to pursue this matter.

By the way,

I heard that King of Rui's Consort

fell ill on the night when the flowers

were revived.

Fifth Younger Brother,

you’d better go and accompany her.

Du Ruo is an imperial physician.

How can I help her?

Sometimes

even doctors are unable to cure themselves.

Fifth Younger Brother,

there is no need for you to worry about me anymore.

It is already late at night.

Hurry back.

Brother will excuse himself first then.

It is getting late.

Third Elder Brother,

do you really want me to take a wife?

Third Elder Brother wants

to be able to explain it to your mother

in netherworld one day.

Could it be that you do not want to have a wife and children?

All right.

Since Third Elder Brother asked me to do it,

I will obey it.

All the concubines that have been

favoured by Your Majesty

must have their pulse taken by an imperial physician

and their bodies checked.

It must be reported to Her Majesty later.

I have something to say to Imperial Physician Du.

Which palace does Your Majesty

want to go to rest tonight?

I am too tired.

I do not want to go anywhere.

Let’s go back to Longyin Palace. (Longyin Palace - the emperor’s palace)

Yes.

This female servant and all the sisters

wanted to share Your Majesty’s burdens

but apart from Zhaoyi Nie

and King of Rui's Consort

no one was able to revive the flowers

while watering them.

Tomorrow morning, when the sun rises up

a virgin shall water the flower beds

with the water from the inner pool.

Everything will go back to its original state.

Could it be that Fengqing and Du Ruo

also did not...

Young Lord’s flute sounds like the sounds of nature.

I got greedy when I heard it so I came to the peach blossom forest.

Let me lead the way for you, Miss.

Minister Gu, you will never do anything

to disappoint me in your life, will you?

Of course not.

Minister Gu,

do you think my wedding dress looks good?

Very good. Beautiful.

Bastard!

Gu Qinghong, this old is Da Situ (Da Situ - Grand Chancellor

or Minister of the Masses, depending on the dynasty)

You are a prime minister

and dare to be presumptuous in front of me?!

Miao Weicheng,

have you already forgotten

how you slaughtered my Xie Family

thirteen years ago?

You have fooled my daughter making her fall in love with you.

Today, you are going to destroy my nine degrees of kinship.

Are you not too cruel?

Cut his head off!

It was me who has ruined your plan.

I did not expect you

to really fall in love with Miao Qianqian.

Gu Qinghong,

you must not die a natural death!

One hundred and twenty-one

Miao Family’s ghosts that were slaughtered by you

will wait for you on every floor of hell!

Wishing Your Majesty good fortune and abundant favour.

What is the reason for Your Majesty to come to Dongling Temple

to pray on the 15th May?

We have mainly come here

to pray to Buddha

and ask him for his blessings for Great Lan.

A blessing for Imperial Concubine Du

and a blessing for Imperial Concubine Yun

so they can give girth to the imperial heirs safely.

Amitabha!

Father, Mother,

on that day, Qianqian met Gu Qinghong

at Donglin Temple

and brought calamity on our family.

Tonight, Eldest Brother

will put an end to all of this

at Donglin Temple.

I do not know who has hurt her in the past,

but now she is leaving all that behind

and will be free from cares.

Little monk,

watch where you are going!

How dare you collide with the Princess!

Qingyan meant not to offend Princess.

Princess was startled.

It’s of no importance.

Young Master Qingyan,

long time no see.

Donglin Temple’s divination is really effective.

I was not able to marry

my beloved person in the end.

Why is Princess persisting so much?

People’s troubles are making one vexed.

Young Master Qingyuan,

I want to ask you something.

If you cut the woman’s black hair

will she be freed from worries?

Qingyan is not sure of it either.

Qingyan shaved his hair and converted when he was still but a child.

He does not know whether he had any worries back then.

Since woman’s black hair bring the trouble...

Shaving them will let her put them down...

It was the chanting bell

before the sunset.

Young monk has to go to the main hall.

Is Princess still worried by something?

Quizi,

I don’t understand why Elder Brother Miao

asked me to help him come to Donglin Temple.

But Xue Bi also came.

He definitely has evil designs.

I am afraid he will hurt Elder Brother Miao.

Therefore, we must

always keep an eye

on him.

How on earth

can I catch the monk

without anyone noticing it?
