We've been playing music together for almost ten years.

During that time we've done all the things a band is supposed to do.

We've toured, we've recorded a lot of music,

gotten a little press, spent countless hours trying to spread

our music on social media, and we've tried,

really hard to build a real following.

But nothing we have done has worked.

Aggressive.

Music is the thing that brought us together.

We were strictly bandmates for the first few years,

and it wasn't until we made a record together

with a small label in Sweden that Jim professed his love

to Sam on a Scandinavian playground.

She reluctantly but eventually said, "yes." Now we're married.

We actually just got married.

And in thinking about the rest of our lives,

we realized we don't want to wake up

in another ten years regretting that we didn't do everything

we could to be the band we always imagined we'd be.

I do feel like if we're going to be honest,

maybe we should say

to make money you make websites

and I'm a dog Walker,

and now we want to go out and see what happens

if the only thing we do for a year is focus on music.

Every day for a year playing 365 shows...

We have the first two months of shows booked,

and will book the rest from the road.

Between paying gigs and subletting our apartment,

we can cover the cost of the tour.

And as crazy as what we're about to do may seem

not doing it feels even crazier.

and if I can't find a venue, we do stuff like this.

Yeah, actually we met this producer years ago

after a show in New York City, and he invited us here to record

with him and a bunch of amazing musicians.

And since then we built all these relationships

that have allowed us to continue to tour and make music here.

Yeah we met at a friend's comedy show and then a week later

we started playing music together.

The next act that I am about to introduce

They left home 40 days ago and they are doing a gig

a night for one year wherever they happen to be.

I specifically wanted to take a train

to Hamburg from Berlin.

And Sam insisted on renting a car.

The show has to end by nine o'clock because it's a guy who's

putting it on his house, and he's invited 50 people

and done his best to promote a great show.

Now, we're going to have to call him and tell him

that we might not even get there by, by 9 o'clock.

asked us to play at her very fancy restaurant, and, uh,

I'm excited, hopefully she's going to feed us some mussels.
