what's up guys I'm going to show you how

to download and install YouTube DL on a Windows

machine Let's jump right into the tutorial so first

you want to do is go to your default

downloads folder and British create a new folder called

youtube-dl

Next we're going to actually want to download YouTube

DL all the links in the description but you

didn't want to download the windows exe here and

then you're going want to download and install this

Microsoft Visual package I've already installed it so I

don't need to do it again but we're going

to go back to our downloads folder and move

the exe into the youtube-dl folder

Mexican I want to download ffmpeg this is required

in order to extract audio from videos some people

will use you to be all just to download

videos I use it more to extract audio and

if you want to do that ffmpeg is required

so you need to select whether or not you

have a 32 or 64-bit operating system if you

don't know what yours is just go to the

bottom left-hand corner here quick start and type in

this PC

down the side bar here right click go to

properties and I'll tell you right here next to

system type so I have a 64-bit operating system

so I'm going to download 64-bit version okay so

I wanted to done downloading as you can see

it comes in a. Zip format so you're going

to need a file archiver in order to open

this up if you don't have one then I

recommend downloading 7-Zip the link will also be in

the description but in order to extract the files

here all we need to do is

double-click

and then just drag the file okay next week

is going to open up this folder we're going

to go to Ben and you see these three

programs here we're going to copy these

we're going to go to our youtube-dl folder and

then paste them

all right and that's it now you have youtube-dl

installed I'll go over really quick how to use

it it's super easy at the command line program

so you're going to want to get your command

prompt open when I just did is I just

searched CMD

and I forgot to navigate to this youtube-dl folder

that we created so the way we do that

is we type c d that stands for change

directory when I go to downloads and then CD

youtube-dl and if I type dir der then we

can see the files in the folder that's how

we know where the correct folder so in order

to use YouTube DL all we have to do

is type YouTube

DL this will execute the program and then we

just need to paste a YouTube link

so I just got this like lap samples that

I'd like to download now if I just paste

the link here it's going to download the video

straight up so I think I believe it'll download.

yeah and then if we go back to our

youtube-dl folder you can see the entire video was

downloaded so if we just want to download the

audio then we have to type in a few

parameters for the program to recognize so that's youtube-dl

Dash X Double Dash audio Dash format MP3 and

then paste the URL

and this will just rip the audio

merry go so now we have the MP3 right

here

so youtube-dl doesn't just work with YouTube it works

with a ton of other websites like here's a

list of supported sites and as you can see

there's there's actually like a shit ton

oh one thing I forgot to mention is if

the program brakes on you for whatever reason that

probably just means you need to update it and

the parameter to do that is youtube-dl Dash Capital
