According to the records from the comprehensive health exam,

Detective Lee Hyeong Joon's weight is recorded as being 78 kg.

However, the weight of Lee Hyeong Joon's corpse...

Was 69 kg.

So what you're saying is...

July 22, 2007.

The corpse that was discovered at the scene that day...

Was not Detective Lee Hyeong Joon.

Are you saying that the "dead" Detective Lee Hyeong Joon...

Is not the "real" Lee Hyeong Joon?

The police determine the identity of the corpse,

but physical measurements are taken by a medical examiner.

Although they can switch bodies at the crime scene,

altering the height and weight measurements...

The police can't do that on their own.

Then...

The "real" Lee Hyeong Joon's corpse...

What do you think they did with it?

To cover up the incident,

they could have intercepted and hid it.

You...

You weren't dead?

It's been 6 months.

She was on an ambulance that was transporting a patient and...

an accident occurred.

Jung Im protected the patient with her own body,

and the patient survived.

However, as you can see, my child... she just sleeps.

My poor baby!

Detective Lee Hyeong Joon...

Yes.

Until we know for sure...

Please keep it a secret from Team Leader Yang Si On.

Why?

Those two...

They had a special relationship.

That's why that day...

They were at the scene together.

I understand.

I'm done for the day!

It's me, Yang Si On. I'll come in just for a moment.

Unnie, I was surprised!

You should have let me know you were coming.

Um...

Do you also see souls... of those who are alive?

Of course.

You and I... we are souls that are alive.

No, not that... I mean...

While a body exists somewhere, alive...

is it still possible to see that body's soul?

Even if they are "alive",

that's not really "living".

What?

That body...

Is just a shell... that has lost its soul.

Unnie.

Did you think about what I said?

About what?

That handsome Oppa...

You should let him go now.

What do I need to do,

to let Hyeong Joon Oppa...

Leave in peace?

How?

That Oppa... so that he can leave all his regrets

and worries about you and leave in peace,

Unnie, help him.

Team Leader, I'm home.

Oh, you're home.

Did you cry?

It's late. Wash up and sleep.

It was bad timing.

My bad timing.

The corpse that was discovered at the scene...

Is not Detective Lee Hyeong Joon.

That man... was someone I liked.

At first, I couldn't even get into a car, but Hyeong Joon Opp-

Thanks to Detective Lee Hyeong Joon,

I learned how to drive.

What am I thinking?

Am I being jealous of a dead guy?

You're an idiot... an idiot, Cha Geon Woo.

But there's no opportunity for me!

I'll see you tomorrow.

Team Leader.

Until when...

Are you going to keep looking at a dead person?

Can't you see me?

Me... the one standing in front of you...

Do you not see me?

Until when are you going to pretend you don't know?

I...

Like you, Team Leader.

Finally, now...

Please look at me.

Detective Cha.

What you said last night...

Yes?

Until the smuggling case gets solved,

it can be put on hold, right?

Yeh, well...

Real men keep their word, no matter what.

Then, I'm going to keep my answer on hold until the case gets solved.

Team Leader, you really don't have to do that. Why are you doing that?

Here it is.

What a relief!

I thought I wouldn't find it.

Thank you!

Take care!

Take care!

Hey, this job is worthwhile, right?

Yes, it is... getting to see a cute girl.

Hey, you animal!

I'm saying, it's worthwhile giving back people's lost items, dude!

Allegiance!

Seong Chan, you've matured,

finding it worthwhile giving back people's lost items.

I've always felt that way, since the beginning.

Oh hey, what item did she come here to get?

Oh, a wooden necklace.

What wooden necklace?

It's the one we retrieved from the subway. It looked unique-

Oh, the one you saw when we visited you at the hospital.

My poor baby!

Seong Chan, the person who picked up the necklace... Give me her phone number.

Okay.

Thank you so much for finding my necklace.

It must have fallen off while I was on the subway.

Your necklace is very pretty.

Isn't it?

It's made from the ginko tree.

When I was younger, my mom gave it to me.

But what's the reason for asking?

Do you perhaps...

know a Kim Jeong Im?

That's the first time I've heard that name.

She is a nurse at Woong Im Hospital.

I don't know...

I've never been to that hospital.

But, I really should be going.

Okay.

Thank you for your time.

I've looked into some accounts that Park Il Doo owns.

There are some paper companies. He has been moving funds very carefully.

Could he have used it as lobby funding?

There are a few congressmen that the the Chief has been secretly meeting.

It could have flowed that way as campaign contributions.

What about Sunbae Choi Moon Shik?

There's not much about him.

His son's hospital fees,

and each month, he's been donating regularly to one place.

The place he's been supporting. Is it...

A couple of days ago, there was an automatic withdrawal.

You're telling me who got a three month pay cut...

You are telling me to pay?

I don't have money either.

Instead of sending donations to the church,

you should use it to care for your poor junior.

I'm helping pay for patients' hospital bills.

After seeing my kid sick, I understand the people who can't pay their hospital bills.

So that's why you even collect interest on

all the money I borrowed from you?

A fine, young man like you should work hard to earn money.

Alright, fine. I'll pay.

Have some.

From now on, I will see your face on television.

What?

Very shortly you'll be nominated for the Chief of Police position.

Thank you.

It's all because you helped.

For the time being,

take extra good care of yourself.

Once you're announced as a nominee,

people here and there will try to verify that you're a worthy candidate.

They're going to start investigating you.

I understand, Congressman.

That necklace, what connection does it have?

What do you want from me?

Hello.

Jeong Im always had this on her.

I feel like if I have this, I will always be with her.

But, where did the necklace come from?

She said that her birth mother gave it to her when she was young.

Her birth mother?

Jeong Im is my daughter whom I gave birth to in my heart.

I adopted her when she was 5 years old.

I saw a necklace the same as that one.

She said that her birth mother

made this herself.

It's made from the ginko tree.

When I was young my mother gave it to me.

Did Jeong Im have other siblings?

She had an older sister.

She was two years older I think.

Was Jeong Im's name different back then?

Her father gave her the name Jeong Im.

Before she came to our house, she was known as Lee Ji Won.

Lee Ji Won.

Six years ago, Detective Lee Hyeong Joon was shot, but his body disappeared...

Did you kill that detective?

What you know isn't the whole truth.

Do you believe that I'm hiding something?

If you are hiding something from 6 years ago,

I won't forgive you even if it is you.

Sunbae Moon Shik,

you know something right?

Subtitles brought to you by The "BOO!" Team at Viki

Ji Won.

Our Ji Won.

Ji Won,

knew nothing, but her sister.

I want to go with you.

Ji Won.

If you wear this necklace, it will be the same as us being together.

I'll go visit you.

If you have this necklace

I will go visit you.

I promise.

Let's go, okay?

Ji Won.

I'm sorry for not knowing.

I'm sorry for coming so late.

Oh, Ji Won!

Jung Im, Jung Im!

Ji Won!

Jung Im!

Then, I'll be going.

Thank you so much.

If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to see my sister.

You came to see her now.

You also kept your promise from when you were children.

Goodbye.

Yes, Prosecutor Park.

What?

You've found out where Park Il Doo has been hiding?

Detective Cha.

Oh, Team Leader.

Over there.

It seems like it has been a few days since he cleaned up and left.

Chief Moon has already made his move.

In case he got caught before becoming the head of the police department he cleaned everything up.

Didn't I say not to contact me,

until I contacted you?

It's because Yang Si On's movements are kind of alarming.

I know, so I'll take care of it.

Don't worry about it.

You just have to stay hidden like I told you.

I'll get you a boat ticket in a few days.

Okay, I understand.

Yes, it's me.

This may be disrespectful, but I have a favor to ask of you.

Welcome.

I'm saying it will be my treat.

Why are you treating me?

Get us the special set, please.

Bring soju too.

Yes.

I'm saying it's my treat.

There's a reason.

Team Leader.

Yes?

Would you be able to stay alone today?

After I go back home, there's somewhere I need to go early tomorrow morning.

Where?

I will tell you after I come back.

Go ahead and have some.

Will you really be okay?

Of course I'm okay.

I think I can finally relax and sleep with my legs spread today,

because I won't be hearing your snoring from the living room.

Don't worry about me. Take care.

Tell me what's going on later.

Okay.

I'm going in.

Subtitles brought to you by The "BOO!" Team at Viki

Are you still mad?

You're a police, Oppa, Are you a bodyguard?

Helping her was enough. Did you have to escort her to her house?

She said she couldn't go home by herself because she was scared...

There were other people next to you!

But why did it have to be you?

It's so obvious!

It was all because she was interested in you!

What?

What?

What are you looking at?

Nothing much, I'm just curious.

About what?

Are you mad at the fact that I escorted her to her house,

or at the fact that woman might have been interested in me.

I'm confused...

Well...

They are the same!

How easy and cheap you must have looked like to her. When his girlfriend is standing right there, uh?

How could she be hitting on you like that?

Yang Si On.

What?

I'm not going to be swayed even if there are 100 girls like that woman.

What about you, are you confident?

About what?

Are you confident that you won't fall for some other man?

Of course I'm confident. Am I you?

You know that I'm the "human lie detector" of the Korean National Police Force, right?

I'll ask again.

Are you going to fall for some other punk or not?

Well, I don't know. It's up to you.

What?

Of course it's a lie, stupid.

You satisfied?

You shouldn't be this pretty.

Today, I was wrong.

Yes.

Oppa.

I was worried because I didn't see you for a long time.

Ah, Chief Moon, I think we can catch him.

Then, Oppa,

will you be leaving?

I...

Oppa...

should let you go, right?

CGV (name of a movie theatre)

You're unbelievable.

Right?

"Horror movie date" that's full of natural skinship and thrill.

It's not like that.

I meant the change in your behavior when the Team Leader is here or not is unbelievable.

Brat, how many times have I told you?

When a chance is given to you, you have to take it!

I'm taking a break when I can, you punk.

He will get caught someday.

I heard everything you said.

You will get caught by me if you're like that!

Oh, you heard it?

Let's see... 2 tickets for sweet couple seats, complete!

Ms. Hee Bin. Are you ready to have a thrilling weekend?

The day after Detective Choi Moon Shik donated to Yongsan Church,

the money was transferred from Yongsan Church.

To the same place every month.

Where is it?

A private sanatorium in Gyeong Gi Do.

Hello.

Hello.

I've heard that there is a patient who is regularly funded by Yongsan Church. By any chance...

Perhaps...

Who are you?

Yes?

Prosecutor?

The Attorney General is looking for you.

Okay.

You've been looking for me.

Yes.

I have something to say.

Please say it.

Since you and I don't have much time,

I will get right to the point.

I heard you've been going around,

looking into some of the higher-ups within the Police.

That's right.

I'm conducting an internal investigation on the candidate for Chief of Police, Moon Hong Joo, after receiving a report.

Ok. Have you found anything?

I'm still tracking.

About that, stop working on it.

What?

You didn't hear what I said?

Stop working on it.

What is the reason?

If I say to stop, just do it!

Everything is in here.

Choi Moon Shik voice recording file,

Kang Ho Chul car accident CCTV record.

Park Il Doo's financial reports, evidence of tax evasion using paper companies,

including proof of money laundering.

Because of you,

we've gotten this far.

But there's a problem.

The problem?

There was an order from above to stop the investigation.

It must be Chief Moon.

What should we do?

Park Il Doo.

If we have Park Il Doo's testimony, the superior authority would be helpless.

The testimony that Chief Moon was behind all this.

That's the key that will reverse this situation.

Park Il Doo.

Chief,

you said you were going to do something. What happened?

Yang Si On still has her eyes on me.

I will wait to hear from you.

Sunbaenim,

after setting up all these... How could you leave like that without any mention?

How should I tell this to Team Leader Yang?

Thank you.

I've been looking for you anyway.

I've been caught, eh?

How about this?

How about we talk about this?

I can't negotiate with someone like you.

Is that right? I do have some information here though...

Detective Cha!

Detective Cha, are you okay?

Geon Woo.. Cha Geon Woo!

Geon Woo, come to your senses! Geon Woo!

What should I do...

Calling for emergency response. At 128 Buam-dong.

Someone was stabbed. Hurry...

Please hurry!

Detective Cha! Please wake up!

Geon Woo, what should I do...

Anyone? Is there anyone here?

Oppa.

Oppa... Oppa, please save Geon Woo.

What should I do if he dies? Please save Geon Woo, Oppa. What should I do...

Just this once. Oppa, save him this once!

Oppa... What should I do...

What should I do? I'm sorry...

Is anyone there? Anyone?

Please.

Hold on.

Arrest!... CPR!

Stand back!

One, two, three, shock!

250 Joules!

One, two, three, shock!

Contact the surgery department and move him to an operating room.

Doctor...

What happened?

The surgery went well, but

there is a lot of damage done to the organs, and he has lost a lot of blood.

I think we still have to monitor his progress.

What happens tonight will be important.

Cha Geon Woo...

I'm sorry.

Because of me...

Geon Woo...

You're going to wake up, right?

You're not going to leave me alone, right?

I...

like you, Team Leader.

Now,

please look at me.

You still haven't heard my answer.

That's why you have to wake up.

I'm sorry.

The person you called is unavailable right now. Please leave a message after the beep

This is Il Doo.

Somehow, I stabbed Cha Geon Woo.

Please do something about this fast!

I don't have much time! When are you going to send it to me?

If you keep on pretending like you know nothing,

I'm going to be upset, Director.

Cha Geon Woo...

Geon Woo, are you coming to your senses?

Oh?

It's me. Do you recognize me?

Right, it's me. Yang Si On.

Just stay still.

I already contacted Prosecutor Park,

and Park Il Doo is on the wanted list.

I restricted him from leaving the country.

Okay, what is it?

I...

That person...

I saw him.

That person?

That person? Who are you talking about?

Hyeong Joon...

Detective...

Lee Hyeong Joon?

How can you see Oppa Hyeong Joon?

Detective Cha.

Cha Geon Woo! Geon Woo!

Detective Cha!

Cha Geon Woo, wake up. Cha Geon Woo!

He's bleeding. Detective Cha!

Is someone there!!

Detective Cha! Geon Woo, wake up! Geon Woo!

Detective Cha!

Hello.

I've heard that there is a patient who is regularly funded by Yongsan Church. By any chance...

Please come this way.

Hello.

His temperature is normal and his blood pressure is stable.

Handsome Ahjussi, someone came to see you after a long time.

Subtitles brought to you by The "BOO!" Team @ Viki

Detective Lee Hyeong Joon.

Please keep it a secret from Team Leader Yang Si On.

Those two people

were in a special relationship.

Me... the one standing in front of you...

Do you not see me?

Now,

please look at me.

Geon Woo...

I'm sorry... Because of me...

You're going to wake up, right?

You're not going to leave me alone, right?
