I'll tell you what I want.

Bring the SIM card that you guys have.

Then we'll let you have Yang Si On.

Don't even think about making a copy.

When we get it, we'll check to make sure that the data wasn't copied.

We'll be checking before we let Yang Si On go.

Fine, I understand.

But let me tell you one more time-

Hey, what's going on?

Hey, it's done.

Wait!

What?

Go back to the last page.

Yes.

I did what you said.

When we get the SIM card,

what should we do with Yang Si On?

Chief Moon Hong Joo

Get rid of them.

Both of them.

Get ready.

Episode 13

Hey... are you okay?

Yes.

Give me the SIM card.

Okay, I'll make a copy.

Don't make a copy!

Just give it to me.

You... pack everything up.

- What? - Just go into hiding for about 3 months.

It's only been a while since I've bought all this new equipment! What do you mean I should go into hiding?

Just do as I say. For about 3 months...

you must not come out of hiding, if you want to live.

I'm going.

Hey, hey! Cha Geon Woo, where are you going?

Cha Geon Woo...

Whenever I get involved in your business, my life becomes miserable!

All of this... what should I start packing?

There's no problem.

Hi!

Where is Team Leader Yang?

Team Leader!

What about the SIM card?

First, let Team Leader Yang go.

Do you like this girl?

First you give us the SIM card, then we can check it,

and then we'll go to the next step. Don't you agree?

No!

No, Cha Geon Woo.

You can't give it to them.

Cha Geon Woo!

Give it here.

Okay!

Now let go of Team Leader Yang.

Then, I guess we should be going.

You go get her... you young bastard.

Let's go.

Are you alright?

But, what should I do?

No matter how I think about it,

leaving you two like this...

doesn't feel right.

Get rid of them.

Both of them.

What's going on?

What the hell is this?

Oppa.

Turn on the lights, idiot!

What is this?!

Turn on the lights, you idiots!

Hey! Chase after them!

Catch them. Catch them.

Hurry and catch them!

Team Leader, run that way.

Team Leader!

Are you alright?

Hurry and catch them!

Chase after them!

Catch them, quickly!

Are you alright?

That was the last piece of evidence we had.

That evidence is much more important than me.

Compared to the SIM card, your life is much more valuable.

Team Leader.

Team Leader!

Blood.

Team Leader.

Hang in there.

Doctor, will she be okay?

Fortunately her bones are fine, but the wound is quite deep.

It's a good idea to take caution while the wound heals.

Thank you.

Merry Christmas.

I waited for a miracle... for you to wake up.

Right now,

I think I don't have much time left.

I'm telling you that she's going to be fine.

She's going to be discharged tomorrow.

What's okay with that?

For a while, you didn't come to work.

This time, Team Leader gets hospitalized!

Let's go visit her at the hospital. ... Yes.

Hey. Guys, we need to go get the lost and found items.

We could go get them, then stop by the hospital.

I think so too.

Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.

Okay. Okay.

First, let's go get the subway lost and found items.

Let's do it.

Okay.

Oppa...

Where did you go and what did you do?

Why is your face like that?

Oppa, I already told you, right?

If you make a mistake,

your soul might disappear!

You can get trapped in forever darkness, with no way out...

aren't your scared of that?

The thing I'm scared of...

is having to leave

Si On alone in this world.

That's the only thing.

You really didn't have to come.

I just came as part of my "service" to my customers.

Don't think about it.

You see,

Unnie...

That...

-Team Leader!-Team Leader...

Oh! Hee Bin...

Why are you here?

I came to visit Si On unnie.

Hello.

Oh by the way, who's helping you while you're here?

I'm going to do it.

What?

A distance needs to be maintained between a man and woman...

why would you, Ahjussi, be using the same hospital room?

Ahjussi?

Team Leader, are you alright?

Yeah, I'm okay.

The office, with you gone, is a bit... dreary.

Oh, you...

What brings you guys here?

We were on our way from picking up lost and found items.

Because of the robbery incident last time,

I'm keeping it close, as if it were part of my body.

That's great, Im Seong Chan.

You know that I'm always very careful and thorough with my work.

Well, I'll leave you guys to talk for a bit.

I'll go out for a bit.

You're going?

No, not right now.

Come here, Im Seong Chan. Careful? Thorough? Are you kidding me?

Come here.

What is this?

This is falling out.

You should pay attention.

What's wrong, Team Leader?

It's nothing.

Is that for real?

Yes. I'm sure of it.

At this point, the current Chief of Police only has less than 1 month remaining in his term.

Are you saying that Chief of Investigations, Moon Hong Joo, is a prime candidate for the next Chief of Police?

Is that it?

Yes. That's right.

People say that Chief Moon has strong connections with politicians and businessmen.

Life is all about having the right connections.

I don't think it's too late.

Do you think so?

Then, should we go make a plan?

Let's do that.

I'm sorry that I haven't come by to see you.

There's no need to be sorry. I know how busy you are.

Not seeing each other frequently doesn't affect our relationship, anyway.

Thank you for saying it like that.

The Chief of Seoul Police... his term is about done, right?

A month, right?

Yes.

Once you become the Chief of Police...

There will be a lot of things to do from then on.

Senator.

I've used my powers and influence to help you,

so become the Chief and pursue your dreams.

Thank you, Senator.

Surgical Nurse Kim Jeong Im

Surgery Nurse Kim Jeong Im

How's your headache?

What?

Ah, yes. I'm okay.

Even though you're going to be discharged tomorrow, don't use your injured arm for a while.

You have to be careful.

Yes.

Okay, then.

Unnie, are you thirsty?

Should I give you some water?

No, I'm okay.

Okay.

Go home and get rest comfortably instead of staying here where it's uncomfortable.

Why? After sending me off, are you calling for Cha Geon Woo ahjussi?

Unnie...

How long are you going to hold on to that oppa?

Who? What are you talking about?

I'm talking about that handsome oppa.

The one who can't leave because you might get hurt.

Hyeong Joon Oppa?

How did you know about Hyeong Joon Oppa?

Please find the owner of the car with this plate number.

Team Leader, how did you know?

What?

It's that bastard's car from yesterday.

What happened?

Where did you see it?

Do I look like someone who would lie to a police officer?

Why didn't you tell me?

I also have a business rule.

That oppa... I'm not sure what he has been doing,

but in just a few days, he changed - he didn't look so well.

That...

You have to let go of Oppa

for him to be able to go.

That oppa,

so that he may get rid of all regret

and worries about you and leave everything behind easily,

please help him.

If you don't,

both of you are going to be miserable.

What are you doing?

You hurt your arm.

Right now, a backpack is the best.

It's pretty.

What are you doing? I can carry it. It's not even that heavy.

I'm not doing this because it's heavy.

I'm doing it as a co-worker who wants to help.

If a patient in this state carries a bag like this,

I'm afraid that people are going to curse at me for letting you do that.

Okay, you carry it.

So... how are things going?

They haven't made much of a move.

They probably can't move because they don't have evidence.

I'll keep observing them.

More than that,

you go and hide yourself.

What?

The appointment of the next Chief of Police is just a month away.

If word gets out, it'll make things complicated.

But I'm...

Stay quiet until I contact you.

Yes, I understand.

Go now.

That oppa... so that he may get rid of all regret...

and worries about you and to leave everything behind easily,

please help him.

Excuse me, I have something to say.

What is it?

I was too worried that this might come as a shock,

and I couldn't tell you about it, but...

What is it?

Since I'm okay now, you can say it.

Actually,

before I handed that SIM card over to those guys,

I saw the contents.

What?

So? What's in there? I mean-

did you find something out?

I saw who was behind the smuggling gang from that case 6 years ago.

Who was it?

Chief Moon Hong Joo.

What?

Chief Moon Hong Joo was the person behind all of this.

I'm sorry.

I hesitated to tell you this because I was worried how shocked you would be.

That's impossible.

Chief Moon Hong Joo

Yes, Chief.

Where are you right now?

I'm outside right now.

I have something to say.

I will wait and see you at my office.

Yes.

I understand.

Subtitles brought to you by The "BOO!" Team @ Viki

The students whom I taught at the Police Academy... they're like my own children.

Even among them, you

you were my best student.

Come in.

You came?

Why don't you take a seat?

Do you know why orchids are difficult to grow?

I don't know.

It's because you keep them enclosed in a planter.

Orchids grow well only when they are left free in nature.

When I look at you,

I think of an orchid.

What is it you want to say?

You have the potential to be a talented individual,

but it's difficult to "raise" you like that.

Everything that you're doing right now,

stop it all.

Are you threatening me?

Threatening?

This is a order.

I can't accept it.

I know that you've been through a lot.

Have you still not come to your senses?

"Don't give in to injustice. Stand up to it and fight."

I think that's what I learned.

From you, Chief.

You also need to know when to give in.

Especially when you don't have evidence.

My respect for you, whom I used to regard highly...

My respect for you, great teacher...

Ends here.

I, too, don't want to kill an orchid I cared for.

I don't want to kill it with my own hands.

Wait, so are you saying that you told him everything and declared war on him!?

He thinks we don't have any evidence left anyway.

We need to find some evidence. No matter what it takes we need to find it!

What is this?

It's the other item that Team Leader Choi left at the pawn shop.

It looks like a key to a rented bank safety deposit box, but I don't know for sure, yet.

We need to hurry and look up Sunbae Choi's financial records, then.

We can't do it here.

Chief Moon is the person behind this.

I don't trust anyone in this police department.

Hee Goo has gone into hiding.

That's right, there is someone we can trust!

You have a visitor.

Who?

It's Officers Yang Si On and Cha Geon Woo.

Okay, let them in.

How did you guys know I was still here?

I heard that your resignation didn't get processed.

You guys didn't change. You guys are still rash and reckless, just like the past.

You don't even have any sure evidence.

You don't even have the files that the hacker gave you, because you let them get taken from you.

Prosecutor, you're still critical as ever.

Because of this case,

four people lost their lives.

But your opponent is...

someone who's being considered as the next Chief of Seoul Police.

That's why we came to find you.

Also, this...

it looks like it's a key to a rented bank safety deposit box.

Team Leader Choi left this along with the phone.

I'll look into Officer Choi's financial records, and I'll give you a call.

Thank you, Prosecutor.

However you can, bring the evidence.

Yes.

Thank you for giving me a ride.

Aren't you getting out?

I should be getting out...

I've cleaned up your house a bit.

You did?

Good job.

Wait a second!

Let's go together.

Hey.

What is this?

This?

My stuff.

Why are you bringing your stuff here?

Because I'm going to spend a few days here.

What?

Who knows when those guys will raid this place again?

Should I leave you here alone?

This is a type of...

a witness protection program!

Oh! Cha Geon Woo's own program.

I'm going in!

You're kidding me, right?

Make a decision.

About what?

Choice 1 - let me have the living room sofa.

Choice 2 - make me...

stay in the small, hot, uncomfortable car...

leaving me to get all sweaty and get a heat rash.

Choice 1, right?

Please move out of the way.

Wow, it's great seeing this sofa again.

Hey! Are you really going to stay here?

From now on, a 2-meter radius around this sofa is my zone, so don't enter it.

2 meters!... 2 meters!

This is a joke, right?

I sit here to watch TV! Move!

That's your problem.

For a while, this is going to be my seat, so too bad.

You may not be holding a knife, but you're just like a robber! Put your feet down!

What do you mean a robber? I'm here to chase away a robber!

I'm hungry. Do you have any food?

Food? Foo...?

Foo...? Am I supposed to cook for you?

If you don't want to, then never mind. What kind of a guest-house ahjumma is this rude?

You are crazy, really.

Let go! Let go!

Let's not be like this! Why are you being like this?

Ouch!

Oh!

Allegiance!

I didn't think I'd be this happy to see you guys come to work together.

Is your arm okay?

Yeh, I just need to go to the hospital and get my stitches taken out.

Hey! To celebrate Team Leader's discharge from the hospital,

should we go out for dinner together?

Yes!

Let's go eat barbeque!

Stop being so loud! Go do your job!

You guys are always just waiting for a reason-(to have team dinner)

I'll pay.

You'll pay for what?

Let me go.

Team dinner! Team dinner! Team dinner! Team dinner!

Okay. I'll agree to it, so be quiet. Go to work!

Yay!

Before, at the hospital,

I saw you, right?

Um...

Team Leader, where are you?

I'm over here.

This is the list of items from this week and last week.

One minute.

Yes, Prosecuter.

I looked up Officer Choi's financial records,

but Officer Choi doesn't have a record of renting a safety deposit box.

He doesn't have any records of financial activity in the past 6 months, either.

I looked up something else, just to be sure...

Are you Customer Cha Geon Woo?

- Yes - Did you bring the key?

Please follow me.

Let's take a listen.

Please play it.

You can't do this to me.

Did you forget what I did for you, Chief?

It was you who didn't take care of things correctly.

How can you come now and say that?

Wasn't it you who ordered me to shoot Detective Lee Hyeong Joon?

About that case from 6 years ago...

Was that the truth that you told me?

Are you thinking that I'm keeping the truth from you?

I just want to know the truth.

Is it because of Officer Yang Si On?

Officer Yang Si On,

she still can't remember anything.

As long as Lee Hyeong Joon is dead, everything is fine!

How many more people have to die, for you to be relieved?

The appointment of the Chief of Police is not far away.

It's better to get rid of all harmful "sprouts."

The recent Kang Woo Cheol case...

I already know it was your doing.

Watch what you're saying, Team Leader Choi.

Please leave Office Yang Si On alone!

I'll take care of it!

Team Leader Choi!

I'm warning you!

If you're hiding anything about the case from 6 years ago...

I won't forgive you.

It's not you whom I need

to ask for forgiveness.

With just this recording,

we can't get Chief Moon.

Seeing how Chief Moon is wary of Team Leader Choi,

I think there's more to the case.

We've caught the tail, but...

It won't be an easy fight.

It hasn't been easy coming this far, either.

If I was expecting this to be easy, I would have given up earlier.

Let's do it.

Whatever it is, let's go to the end.

Good.

For now, watch all of the Chief's moves.

If anything new comes up, I'll let you know.

Team Leader, what are you thinking about?

Just...

This and that.

That...

The team dinner we were supposed to have... should we have it tonight?

No?

Even so, we should still eat.

There's a saying, "when you have the opportunity, take it before it expires." Let's get Seong Chan and Seung Ha...

Let's eat together today.

Let's go.

Let's go.

I'm going.

I'll go get some seats.

Hello.

You're not coming in?

You go in first. I'll come soon.

Hurry and come, Team Leader!

Okay.

Let's go in.

You should stop coming here.

I'm sure that's what Hyeong Joon would want as well.

I'll have the beef and chicken.

I'll have the chili pepper chicken.

Two please.

An order of bulgogi and chili pepper, here.

-Please sit down. -Hurry and sit down.

Eonnie...

The thing is...

Today we're having a team meal.

It's fine.

Hurry and go sit down.

Thank you.

I'll eat it well!

Detective Cha, have this drumstick.

Oh, right.

For you, Team Leader... how about wings? Since your arm needs to heal.

Will you give me one, too?

For you, some fries.

Eat a lot!

We'll eat it well!

Ah...

Hey, go call a taxi.

A taxi? Okay.

Hurry, hurry, hurry.

Taxi!

Si On.

Take this with you, or give it to those young folks.

Unnie, you don't need to do this.

I want to give it to you.

Thank you.

Si On, you can come whenever you want.

But, bring your boyfriend with you.

Okay?

I'm going in.

Team Leader!

I called a taxi.

This... give it to Seong Chan and Seung Ha.

Hey, let's go together!

That's so annoying!

I told you to give it to the boys! Why did you bring this with you?

I'll eat it while watching TV.

It will be so loud, that I won't fall asleep!

I watch with the sound turned off!

You watch with the sound turned off? Yeah, right.

- I'm telling you that I turn off the sound. - I have to pay for the electricity, so be quiet.

The electricity bill? It doesn't cost that much!

- I'm sorry. - Oh, I'm sorry.

Wait a second.

This...

Oh, thank you!

Mr. Prosecutor, what is it you wanted to say?

July 22, 2007.

I'm talking about the officer who died at the scene, Detective Lee Hyeong Joon.

Yes.

The data from Lee Hyeong Joon's physical exam records from the Police Hospital,

and the data from his death certificate are different.

Well, that's because... the corpse was in the water for a night.

The weight of a person who drowned can increase,

but it doesn't decrease.

Kim Jeong Im.

Kim Jeong Im.

In his physical exam records,

Detective Lee Hyeong Joon's weight is recorded as being 78kg.

However,

the weight of Lee Hyeong Joon's corpse was 69kg.

So, what you're saying...

July 22, 2007.

The corpse that was found at the scene that day...

was not Lee Hyeong Joon.

You...

You're not dead?

~ Preview ~Eonnie, did you think about what I said?

The handsome oppa... you should let him go.

I was worried because you didn't appear in front of me for a while.

When I'm front of you, you don't see me.

Now,

look at me.
