my comprehension

The YPG are positioned
just outside the city of Manbij.

There's estimated to be 7,000
ISIS fighters in there.

They were literally
liberated yesterday.

Today's their first day
free from Daesh.

We just got ambushed.

This guy is an Islamic
State fighter.

It's worse.
-He's a suicide bomber.

as they try to take the city.

It's something we've been trying

to establish for the team
for quite a while.

I think it'll be the first time

I actually get in
to Manbij proper,

so I'm getting my drug box ready
for when we go in.

have support for a while,

so I just want to make sure
we have enough shit

to provide medical support
further up,

stabilize and prepare
for transport.

Pretty good update, though.

I mean, we haven't gotten
to do this before,

and it's been on this operation

for, like,
a month and two weeks.

thinking about my wife.

I've always tried to take
good care of my family

There's tons of civilians
hiding in there,

and they're
a very determined enemy...

and death is the ultimate reward

These guys die in battle,

We've reached a new level
of suck within this country.

I finally fell asleep.

I guess I'd been up
for about 36 hours.

just been pretty devastated
about what's going on at home.

I guess sheer exhaustion finally
won out against heartbreak,

and I passed out
for the last couple hours.

in a state of confusion.

But then I realized,

when I go back to America,

I wondered where I would stay.

The biggest loss and bad
for my temper was,

and we're down tons
of medical gear,

about this.

We were pretty close,
probably 5, 10 meters away,

so I'm thankful
that nobody got hurt,

but pretty shitty
about my bag.

for close calls.

It's, I think, the fourth
of fifth close call we've had.
