I'll keep working hard with Director Yu Gangu.

Good.

Just like the rice cake business...

Continue to support Gangu.

I will.

Also, since Mrs. Park is taking care of your meals...

Please let me...

Yes?

Let me be in charge of Maeum's education.

Maeum?

I'd like to take care of Maeum.

You can't allow this, father!

What do you think you're doing barging in here?

What right does Kang Jiyu have to watch Maeum?

This is absurd, father.

I need to talk to you about Maeum anyway.

So go get Gangu.

Excuse me?

What do you want to talk about?

Dr. Jo will be here soon.

I think it's a good time

to talk about Maeum.

Get Gangu.

Is everything ready?

Of course.

Okay. I'll do it at the meeting today.

Yes. What about the thing I asked for?

Don't worry. It'll happen right on time.

Should be quite the sight.

By the way...

Did you know about everything, Director Min?

Is this about Jiyu?

The fact that Chae Seorin is Hong Sunbok.

Yes, I know.

Jiyu says...

There's still more to uncover

and asked that I remain quiet.

But to be honest, it's quite difficult.

Having to live in the same house...

As that detestable woman.

If it were me,

I'd wait until the end.

Since there are still things...

Jiyu wants to find out.

The day of her father's accident...

Why was Driver Oh Dongsu there?

Nothing is for certain yet. If you act rashly...

She won't be able to reveal anything.

But still...

I just can't do it anymore.

Don't be emotional. Be rational.

Secretary Chae Seorin...

She's no ordinary woman.

We can't let her find a way out in advance.

That's why Jiyu asked you to wait.

I'll get going then.

But...

Why are you saying this to me?

I don't know.

I guess I needed someone to talk to...

And you're the only person...

I can talk about this with.

Thanks to you...

I know clearly why I must wait.

Director Yu,

the chairman has asked you to come home.

Yes?

You're here.

What's going on?

The fool says...

She wants to play with Maeum

when he gets home from kindergarten.

After I finish company work,

I'd like to look after Maeum.

She doesn't need to

prepare my meals herself any more.

So Maeum's education...

I'd like the fool to take care of it.

Father.

However.

Seorin is against the idea.

I called you in for your opinion.

Aren't you both Maeum's parents?

Father.

With Maeum...

Dr. Jo.

Tell them what you told me last time.

Yes, Chairman Yu.

Based on what I've seen while serving the Chairman,

Maeum needs Kang Jiyu.

What are you talking about?

I've always felt a shadow cast over Maeum.

But ever since Kang Jiyu has been here,

he's become much brighter.

For Maeum's sake, you should listen to the chairman.

No. I know Maeum better than anyone.

I am giving you my medical opinion.

I've seen many children around Maeum's age

suffer from tic disorders or emotional disorders.

Even after you've heard from Dr. Jo,

will you keep being pigheaded?

Maeum may be your son,

but he is my grandson first,

and he's the future heir of Mosung Group.

That's why you should leave him to me.

I am raising him well to become the best.

Is sending him to an expensive kindergarten...

And to endless academies raising him well?

What do you think?

Jiyu, you have work to do at the office, as well.

Can you handle it?

Yes. If you'd let me, I'll do my best.

Thank you. I'll leave him to you then.

Honey!

Then it's settled.

Stop complaining and do as I say.

You may all go.

Director Yu, please stay behind.

Just what are you up to?

What would you take care of my Maeum?

You're acting strange.

What?

What makes you so anxious?

I'm just going to play with Maeum.

It was always strange.

You were always so anxious when I was with Maeum.

When? When was I anxious?

You seem anxious even now.

And this isn't time for you to worry about Maeum.

What?

I told you earlier.

Since you don't know what you did wrong,

I'm going to show you...

Exactly what you did wrong.

What do you plan to...

Goodness, I'm sweating so much.

Cleaning the second floor is the most tiring.

Both mom and daughter's rooms are a total mess.

They leave dozens of clothes out every single day.

Do they have a fashion show every morning? Darn it.

You haven't gone to work yet?

What are you doing here?

What is it?

Did you tell Kang Jiyu about Maeum?

What are you talking about? I didn't say anything.

If you didn't tell Jiyu about him,

why is she acting that way?

What did Jiyu do?

Listen to me.

The moment you tell Jiyu about Maeum,

I will die that very day. Don't forget.

How could you say that to your mother?

What are you talking about?

Goodness.

May I get some water?

Yes.

Were you talking about something serious?

No.

Mrs. Park seems to speak out of line,

so I was telling her to watch what she says.

Mrs. Park...

Jiyu...

Please help her out.

So that she doesn't suffer anymore,

you should help her out.

Of course, I should help her.

That's true...

Mr. Kang and madam are gone.

Those poor children, I'm all that they have left.

What am I doing here because

of my wicked daughter?

This just isn't right.

Aren't you going to the office?

Why Maeum?

Why him?

Did Kang Jiyu...

Figure something out?

I need to find out what she's up to.

There's a board meeting at 2.

He had a woman. They say once he met her,

he cleaned up his act and stopped being a thug.

That woman's name was...

Hong Sunbok.

Oh Dongsu may look the way he does,

but he has a soft heart.

Her found Hong Sunbok lying on the streets,

took her in and saved her.

They probably lived together for while.

Honey.

Honey.

Can't you do as I ask just this once?

Maeum...

You know he's more important to me than my life.

How could I leave him to Kang Jiyu?

That's absurd.

I'm sorry for upsetting you until now.

So please...

Please let me, his mom, look after Maeum.

Please help me. Honey?

That's so good to hear.

Excuse me?

That you were wrong.

Honey...

This wing tattoo...

It's exactly the same as Driver Oh.

Why is that the case?

How would I know?

I've never even seen his tattoo.

Is that so?

I'm warning you.

Don't you dare...

Ever touch me again.

And don't even think about asking me for favors.

Because I just don't care.

How may I help you?

I just wanted to check something.

That tattoo on your neck

is the same as Seorin's.

Why do you two have the same tattoo?

I don't know.

It's on your neck.

Yet you don't know?

It has nothing to do with Secretary Chae.

Then does it have anything to do with Hong Sunbok?

I was looking into you because of Kang Jiyu...

And found out that you lived with a Hong Sunbok.

I heard you loved her a lot.

Then you may have shared a meaningful memento,

just like that tattoo on your neck.

Hong Sunbok is dead.

I'd rather not talk about the dead.

What's going on?

It looks like you still love Hong Sunbok a lot.

I know how you feel better than anyone.

When the woman I love...

Is no longer part of this world...

I know how hard that is.

I've experienced that myself...

For the past 5 years.

Please get in.

What did Yu Gangu say?

He questioned me about the tattoo on my neck.

I think he knows something.

Something isn't right.

(New message)

What is it?

Jiyu!

Let's talk.

I heard you offered to take care of Maeum first.

The chairman praised me for doing well

with the rice cake business.

And asked if I wanted anything.

And you used that opportunity...

To spend more time with Maeum.

I always felt like...

Maeum was trapped in that big house.

He seemed to have no friends...

And was lonely by himself.

I want to help Maeum become happy.

Maeum will like that.

I'll do my best.

I'll work hard for Maeum to become brighter.

Hi, Seonho.

Okay. I'll be right there.

What is it?

I need to prepare for this afternoon's meeting.

You will be at the meeting, won't you?

Yes, of course.

I plan to show this video during the meeting.

I thought you should know.

What is this?

You'll know when you watch it.

I need to prepare for the meeting, so I'll get going.

Jichan! I bought pizza!

What are you up to?

I'm studying.

Studying?

I'm going to take the college entrance exam.

You want to go to university?

It was my mom's wish.

To be honest...

I don't think university should be a life goal.

But since it was my mom's wish, I want to do it.

But your mom's passed away already.

What's the point now?

I know.

I thought she'd be around forever

and ignored what she said.

Now that she's passed away,

I remember everything she said.

I can't ignore her anymore.

So this is how she scolds me.

Study whenever you want when the cafe is empty.

You can study early in the morning and after we close.

If you want to study, Barista Kang,

I'll support you completely.

You've matured, Jichan.

You should mature too.

What's the point? It's too heavy.

He's so handsome...

And musically talented.

If he studies and matures, what am I supposed to do?

You can't become even more perfect.

Eat this and study.

Even the way you eat pizza...

Even the way you study, you're so sexy.

Ahem!

Watch what you say.

They actually look good together now.

Where's Kang Jiyu?

She's preparing for the staff meeting

in the conference room.

Everyone, get out. The meeting has been cancelled.

So get out, all of you.

What are you waiting for?

Let's get out. Go, go.

Go.

What are you waiting for?

Kang Jiyu.

What do you think you're doing?

If you're curious, find out at the meeting later.

You...

You were there when my mom had the accident.

You killed my mom.

I told you it wasn't me.

Do you still not realize...

What you did wrong?

No. No! I told you it wasn't me!

Why don't you tell your story to the police?

Chae Seorin.

Please come with us to the police station

to discuss Song Hyeonsuk's death.

What... What do you mean by that?

We have video evidence of you

being with Song Hyeonsuk at the time of her death.

We've reopened the investigation.

Please come quietly.

You have the right to remain silent.

Anything you say or do can and will be

used against you in a court of law.

Let's go.

Our family has a motto

that's been passed down for generations.

"If you commit a sin, you must be punished."

Life is quite simple.

Good people get blessed and

bad people get punished.

You are so clever, Daniel.

What did Secretary Chae do wrong?

Do you think it's something like embezzlement?

Is our company being investigated?

Shouldn't we report this to Director Yu?

Secretary, what is going on?

No need to cause a scene.

Just go and contact my lawyer right away.

What do you want?

Secretary Chae Seorin just got taken by the police.

What did you say? The police?

For what?

That...

That woman...

She did this to Jiyu's mother...

She...

She actually did it...

What is going on here?

You already know everything.

Don't just observe and get me out of here.

And why should I do that?

I never ordered you to do that to Kang Jiyu's mother.

You did this all by yourself.

So you take care of it.

Is that so?

Then I have no choice.

I'll have to tell them everything from the start.

Hong Sunbok met Byeon Ilgu

and became Chae Seorin.

But I got caught. That's why it happened.

Should I go into more detail?

Why Byeon Ilgu turned Hong Sunbok

into Chae Seorin...

He embezzled inherited shares

to take over Mosung Group.

I really did nothing wrong.

That woman got careless and got herself killed.

There is insufficient evidence...

So claim it was an accident?

You can do that much. No...

You must.

- Hello. / - Hello.

Bye.

- Thank you. / - Bye.

Let's go.

Why is Mr. Oh not here yet?

Miss Jiyu!

Did you come to pick me up?

Yes.

Sorry I'm late.

I'm sorry, Maeum. I'm sorry.

What? What is it?

If Mr. Oh sees us, I'll get in trouble from mom.

It's okay. You won't get in trouble anymore.

Really?

Of course.

Let's go home.

What about academy?

Academy?

(Academy for 6 hours after kindergarten)

Is this your daily schedule?

What do you want to do after kindergarten?

I want to play with you.

I don't want to go to academy.

Okay, then. What shall we do together?

Let's play hide-and-seek.

And let's draw pictures.

Let's ride the bicycle too.

You want to do all that?

Yes.

And...

Okay then.

We'll do all of it one at a time.

I'm so excited!

What do you want to play?

I'm happy as long as I'm with you.

What? Why is Seorin at the police station?

Dad needs to know too.

Rumors have spread all over the office.

That the police took her away.

The thing is...

I think she got into an argument with a woman

while parking her car.

But that woman...

Mistook her for someone else

which started the argument.

And?

Then by sheer bad luck, that woman

had a fatal accident nearby.

Goodness!

That's why she's being investigated.

My goodness.

You don't need to worry.

I've put our legal team to work.

We should hear from them soon.

How can I not worry?

The company reputation is being tarnished

for no reason.

I'll make sure that doesn't happen, Chairman Yu.

Was it really a freak accident?

It really was a freak accident.

Don't worry about it and rest up.

I have to go out for a bit.

At this hour? Where?

I have work to do.

And I need to check on Seorin.

Geez. All of this is just wasting your time.

Just let her rot in jail for a while.

Oh, no... Oh, no...

My Sunbok is at the police station?

It's me.

Take care of Secretary Chae's problem

exactly as I requested.

How does it feel?

Do you know what you did wrong yet?

Just once...

If you had asked my mom for forgiveness...

I wouldn't have gone this far.

I...

Will get out soon...

Since I did nothing wrong.

You really...

Will never repent, will you?

Just you watch.

I will get out of here scratch free.

And I will show you...

That I did nothing wrong.
