I want to ask the distant moon

Is that person you?

I dance among the flowers and you accompany with me

Is that person you? The moon doesn’t tell me

Two shadows. A line of love poem.

You protect me from the strong wind

Give me a light in the dark. Give me an umbrella when it rains.

When I cry, you give me a hand

My tears fall on the palm of your hand

You protect me and watch the moon with me

The moon witnesses the time we stay together

Even if time has passed for a long time and we become old

Everything about you is sweet

[Ni Chang]

[Episode 5]

How come would you be lost here

Gu Niang

Don't be afraid

just tell us where you live

when you feel better

we'll send you back, ok?

I don't remember

Why would you even forget where you live

Where are your parents or relations?

I don't remember

I don't remember

I doubt you are pretending not to

it must be that you simply don't want to say

it's impossible that you

even forget your name

I, I am Ni Chang

Not hard to know she makes up the name

Sister

Xiao Gu Niang

Mother Yun, she

is a well-known professor in making clothes in Huai Zhou

here is her teaching room

If she is willing to recruit you

you will be so lucky

do grasp this opportunity

come on

Master

let me be your student

to learn making clothes by embroidering

one can master it only if he is clever and patient

How can you confirm you are qualified

I don't know if I am qualified

I just want to learn skills

and become a successful businesswoman

You

such an ambitious girl

just now you didn't remember everything

you do right now, don't you?

My parents

and my family were all dead

I am lonely

with nowhere to go

Brother Zhao, Sister

Take her away

Since she is so desperate to stay

why don't you just have a try

Sister

don't baffle me

this girl is not easy

she tells no truth

Yun Jin Zhuang is a place to learn skill

and don't want to deal with this kind a person

I beg you

just let me stay

Even though my Yun Jin Zhuang is small

not everyone who wants to get in will be admitted in

in the foreyard there are five larger water vats

Till tomorrow morning

if you can fill them up

I'll let you stay

If you can't bear it

just go home as soon as possible

Ok

A promise is a promise

Look at her body

not hard to tell she is pampered since childhood

and definitely can't not bear the suffering

Sister Yun

you are bafflling her by doing so

for what?

Look at what

Go back

Go, go

Come on

Take care

almost all the water is spilled out

you can't fill the vat by doing so

Let me help

I am the young master

the master you want to apprentice is my mom

You can't fill up the vat by doing so

Why don't you ask for her mercy patiently

Are you sure you don't want my help

Are you ok

So clumsy, pay attention next time

How can you just believe I am fine for I have said that

Dad

Mon

Brother

I must stay here

to revenge for you

and I have to live first

if I want to live

I must learn the skill to live

I won't disappoint you

the water carried for a whole night worth no effort

so silly

were I her, I'll give up right away

knowing already she can't make it

why insist?

so poor

That isn't being poor

but strong

and persistent

I suppose

she is stronger than all of you

The only advantage of the young master is that

he can always find the advantage of others

What do you mean

how can you compare her with us

exactly

let alone us

simply Wen Xiu

in aspect of appearance, knowledge and skill

it make no sense to compare with that wild girl

Jin Chan is right

That girl looking so poor

how can she be compared with Wen Xiu

the young master doesn't mean that

don't misunderstand

I say, you two little valets

I guess the treats that hostess Yan

give you everyday isn't worthless

Look how you flatter your hostess

and you

don't stay with this kind of person any more

take care not to be taken to the wrong way

how can you speak like that

what kind of people are we

what kind, what kind

It's raining

Hurry up

Go

walk faster, don't get wet

you kid

have you been really carrying water for a whole night?

but it's getting close to morning

and vat hasn't been filled up

Forget it

The rain is getting heavier, just go

take shelter from the rain first

Just go, go, just go

Just go

this way, this way

Such heavy rain

I told you

you alone

can't fill up these large vats

vats are not filled up

according to our promise

you can leave

Sister

Sister, don't persuade me

Yun Jin Zhuang is a place prefers honesty

we can't break the rule

Go with master Zhao

Just go

Just go

Look, the vats are full

Indeed

It's true, yes

It doesn't count

it is rainwater that fills up the vats

rather than you

But you didn't mention yesterday

how I fill them up count

Sister, it's the will of God

Since even God is there to help her

just let her stay

Sister Yun

The girl is so clever

persistent and determined

Isn't her exactly the person that Yun Jin Zhuang wants

Master

Just let me be your student

I, Ni Chang swear to God

I will never betray master Zhao

and Zhao Fu Ren

and your gratitude to have save me

to live as normal person

Master

just let me stay

just recruit her, sister

Yes, just let her be your student

Well

you can stay

Thanks, master

Comeon , stand up, come on

Such a timely rain

Second master

You comment on it...

Brother Shen

Didn't I say wait outside

I am negotiating with the boss

No more negotiation

I have finnished everything for you

my brother also died for this

this is not the price we agreed on before

Brother Shen Lan

You two brother worked for me

your brother died unfortunately

I am also in deep sorrow, well

based on the agreed price

I'll give you fifty liang more

to comfort you

how do you think of it

Fifty liang

Old man

how can my brother's live only deserve fifty liang

Believe it or not, when my knife goes dowm

you'll lose your life

Brother Shen Lan

Speak in peace

Say it in peace

Brother

how much do you want

the agreed price

with the live of my brother

Five hundred liang

If there isn't five hundred liang

I won't leave today

Five hundred liang

where can I get five hundred liang for you

Old man

this can't be considered as expensive

because this is worth the life of my brother

Do you want money

or your life

my life, my life

Go and take my note

go

ok, ok, ok

Look at your timid look

how dare you buy killer to kill people

Here I come

Second master

Brother Shen

Here is the note

That matter

you must keep it secret

if you tell the public

it does no good for both of us

I am a worthless person

I have nothing to scared

but

due to five hundred liang silvers

I will surely keep the secret

for boss Su

Second master

Second master

Second master

Look, it's crooked

No. Here, here, here

What you embroider is far worse than mine

I think it's great

Come on

give it to me. No

give it to me

No

Slow down, slow down

Is it easy to split?

Yes, it is

Do you want me to help?

No, I can do it

It's fine, Aunt Mei, just continue your own job

Ok, ok

do it slowly

I will

the way to embroider with needle

apart from traditional Bian Xiu

there is Ping Xiu

Da Dian Xiu

Yun Jian Xiu

and among all Yun Jian Xiu

is also called Tui Yun Xiu

which uses the differences between darkness and lightness

to make the color more saturated and look rich

your hand

should stand up a bit more

yes

for the first batch we should start from at the side

the side must be neat

for the second batch we start from the middle of the first batch

and leave a gap between two batches

for the third batch we should turn to where about one centimeter from the end of the first batch

Come here

and then leave a gap for the forth batch

it's the same

and so forth, understand?

Yes, master

the young master, what are you doing

Ni Chang, why are you here

Did you finish the work in the kitchen

go out right away

Yes

the young master

you are so silly

so nosy

Right, I think so, too

Wen Xiu, look what it is

What

Oh my god, I, I just finish it

why do you draw a stroke on it

What happen

who did it, so clumsy

You have to pay for it

Nothing to do with me

You draw a stroke on it

you pay for it

I didn't

What's wrong

Master

You two are disturbing the rules

I'll punish you to go out to stand

Master

it's the young master

why still don't go out

why still don't go out

the young master

Don't stand

Master has already gone

the young master, didn't master punish us to stand

Xu, where are you going

Stand for punishment

Before

I used to believe in our Yun Jin Zhuang

there is no real beauty

such a pity

but now

there is finally one

Who is the beauty you are referring to

Is it her?

Of course

Can it be you?

You

just get in if you want

why do it so secretly

Mom

what's the matter

If you want to plead for Ni Chang

you'd better give up

Mon

why do you treat Ni Chang like this

Let alone everything

she is the student you promise to admit in

Since you let her stay

you are supposed to teach her

For what she is bound to learn a skill

is it for she'll give me tuition fee or she is talented

Mon

you are never ever a snobbish person

Ni Chang doesn't have parents

ask for our help alone here

we are surely supposed to take more care of her

She has nobody to live

so I gave her a shelter

but she doesn't even want to tell us

her background

I don't want a student like her

Well, it's late

Go and have a rest

Mom

Go out, and close the door for me

I have no idea about this

But the color of the cloth fades like this

we can make nothing with it

I don't care

you should return silvers to me

This...

No, I can't

I have no pover to decide

It is clearly the problem of your way of dyeing

It is after just a few days, but the color faded like this

It is so ashamed that you sold me this kind of product

if you insist not returning the money

go

I'll go find your manager

Don't

Don't do what

Aunt Mei

Go, quickly

I am responsible for this batch of cloth

You must refund. If the manager knows it

I will be abused

That doesn't work

Just pity me, please

Return my silvers

Don't, don't, don't tell my manager

Just pity me, please

Aunt Mei

After you fetched the cloth

where did you put it

What do you ask it for

I am too busy now

to talk with you

You go with me, quickly

Aunt Mei

Dear Aunt Mei

Just tell me

where did you put it

The storehouse were totally full

so I put the cloth

in the armoire of my room

well your words remind me

that when I gave you the cloth

everything was clearly fine

How did you store it

You want to confirm it's my fault, don't you

The cloth was in the armoire

can't be destroyed by either wind or rain, what's wrong

What did you say

What's wrong

How can I know what is wrong

You are so unreasonable

You return my silvers

I can't

You must return my silvers

Go, go, go, how can it be impossible to refund

is it true that you take the silvers privately

and use the inferior dyes

to fool me

Go

Go and find your manager. How

can you slander me. Go with me

Go

It's clearly fine when I delivered you the cloth

Don't deny any more

It is nothing to do with me

Stop, both of you

stop arguing

I know why the color of the cloth faded

where is your armoire

Right here

inside is eaglewood

to add to fragrant and avoid insects

Aunt Mei

the cloth that the lad brought

is made by Wu Mei water spoiled with red flower cake

which has been cleaned by alkaline water for several times

and sometimes rice branch ash

will replace alkaline water

however red flowers should avoid eaglewood

if someone put them together

before long

the color of this cloth will fade

with the volatilization of the fragrance

So Aunt Mei

You wronged the lad

I told you

this nice cloth can't depigment without reasons

if there weren't this girl

I can't make it clear even if I jump into the Huanghe River

Oh, it's my fault

Sorry

I wronged you

I am straight-forward

and my words are hurting

just forgive me

Forget it

So much cloth have depigmented

what should I do

Aunt Mei, don't worry

I have the solution

Go, let's go and see

Ni Chang

What are you doing

You will know it later

it's already depigmented so severely

you don't

Aunt Mei

Don't worry

I can certainly make the color of this cloth back

Don't mess around

If it is destroyed

we can't no longer solve the problem

Yes, Ni Chang, don't mess around

Yes

I believe in Ni Chang

She has reasons for doing so

the young master is right

I believe in Ni Chang too

It changes

It changes

You see, I wasn't wrong

Yes

I said she could do it

So powerful

Aunt Mei, look

It's true

Ni Chang, what did you pour in just now

It's alkaline water

the cloth was originally cleaned by alkaline water

So I figure I just need to add alkaline water

so the cloth can get it's original color

You just solved a big trouble of mine

Where did you learn all of this

It's what master has mentioned on the class before

when I brought tea in

I heard a bit secretly by coincidence

It is what master has taught

it looks like the people that listen on class carefully

is not many

your master asks you to do odds and ends

that's really unfair for you

as far as I am concerned

you are more capable than hem

Aunt Mei

You are just joking

Wait for me

Sisters have learn it for many years

I am just an amateur

how can I deserve this kind of praise

You deserve

What are you still standing for

Do what you ought to

Master Yun

This the silk village belonging to Su

most of sellers of silk in the capital now

get silk from Su's

what they do

is just to make a wholesale of the inferior cloth from Su's

Their business

will be looked after by master Yuan

undoubtedly their business goes well

Master Yuan, please get in

Everywhere is checked

I don't know you will visit my house

I apologize for not greeting you

I beg for your forgive

Master Su you don't flatter me

Your master this way

Master Su

Prepare for tea

Our master Yuan coming here this time

has nothing emergent

just want to

have a look at the account book

It's not necessary to trouble Your master to come here in the flesh

If you want something

just tell me

I'll send you what you want

Er Shu

I calculated for many times but I can't figure out this account

Do me a favor to take a look

How clumsy and rude you are

Didn't you notice I am having a meeting?

get out quickly

Manager Su

He must be Mr. Su

Why didn't you introduce him for us

I'm Su Wenyu

Nice to see both of you

If master has something important to negotiate with Er Shu

As a child, I'll leave here to avoid interrupting you

Your master, your master

I confess my guilt

As my nephew, he was so impolite to have offended you

Please forgive us

It's not a big deal

Master Su, just stand up

Master Su

Just now I noticed that your family

has opened several more new stores in the south of the city

Your business is really getting more and more successful

And my portion of the future income from stores

I don't know whether you have considered to raise

You are right

Steward Xiao

Pick some batches of superb cloth

and send it to the house of both master Yuan and master Gao

Yes, second master

Then I'll appreciate your efforts

I'll see you off master Yuan

Master Su

remember to take the account book along when you arrive next time

Ok

Second master

They are getting more and more greedy

we can hardly make up the account

But what can we do

After all we have to depend on them in the futute

the dots of needle should be tight

Ni Chang

Master

what can I do for you

join in us in the class on Sunday

do you plan to do chores for the rest of your life

Thank you master

Congratulations

Yuan Xiang

Master

If you sleep again, you'll be punished to stand outside

Look at this place

Yours is not beautiful at all

Ni Chang, this way

Ni Chang, you are finally here

It's ok, we are in the same team

Here is she

Teach her

Hold it

wait a minute

what are you doing

Yuan Xiang

you have a little progress in stitch

but the color still needs to improve

why do you use purple every time

for what

because I like eating eggplants

laugh for what

this time I allow you to get away with it

but don't be lazy next time

Yes, master

Master, this is my work

Wen Xiu

Have you been imitating deliberately recently

the embroidery of Ling Yun Fang in Huai Zhou

Master

my generations make a living on embroidery

before I came here

my parents exhorted in particular that

I should absorb good from experts

rather than learn one single embroidery

If master isn't glad with this

I won't do this any more

No

It's good idea

to absorb good from experts

it's indeed a necessity

but before you do so

you have to lay a solid foundation first

otherwise

no matter how unique is the embroidery

you are not capable to master it

you can only learn from others

and imitate others

rather than keep your own style

Master I appreciate your teaching

I get it

Where is Ni Chang

Sorry, master

I am late

What have you been doing

the firewoods in the kitchen just run out

and I chopped some

Just go and have a seat

Come here

Where is your work

Why did you just embroider half of it

but others have already handed in on time

why only you didn't hand in

Ni Chang

Why is this flowers

embroidered so shapelessly

Oh my God

stuff like this

can't be said to belong to our Yun Jin Zhuang by any chance

it will ruin our reputation

Exactly

It's against the rule

Shh

You two, don't be like that

Ni Chang has no foundation

no wonder she made it like this

but embroidery like this

must takes a lot time to improve

to match our progress

Tell me

what's wrong exactly

Mon

Here is the classroom, and I am not your mom

Ni Chang not only has to chop for firewoods every day

but also needs to fetch the water, cook meals and clean the yard

water the flowers, feed the birds and prepare for the bed

what's more, she even has to clean the clothes for all of us

there is so many chores for her to do every day

aside from this

Jin Chan and Cui Gu often sneer at her

There is no way she can learn embroidery well

Nonsense

we didn't

You did say that Ni Chang didn't pay the tuition fee

and doesn't deserve to learn the skill here

and often supplanted her

I witnessed all of this

Master

Jin Chan and Cui Yu isn't people like that

the young master maybe misunderstood

Don't pretend to be a good person

I

Yuan Xiang

You tell me

did they always supplant Ni Chang

the young master is right

All of them

did often laugh at Ni Chang

and ask Ni Chang to do this and that

Yuan Xiang

don't say anything bull shit

just to flatter the young master

I did not

I know

Since your dad have dead

and your family have declined

you haven't paid the tuition fee for half of a year

am I right? I can relate to you

If you wanted to set foot in here

you must seize the chance to flatter young master the young master

but

you did it in front of so many students

Isn't it

Yuan Xiang

You are way too mean

Stop it

just sit

Look how far you have argued

Tell us

what happened exactly

Master

I did it deliberately

I was in front of a blossomed flower in the yard

when I embroidered

and a butterfly stopped exactly on the pedal

as the butterfly moved, the flower moved as well

so funny

but it stopped far too short

I couldn't finish it

please punish me master

It turns out to be like this

Master, don't trust her

the truth is she didn't embroider it well

but she made an excuse like this

so shameless

it's not done

no matter what the reason is

I can't let you pass

but

it's such a precious quality

that you are willing to get inspiration from nature

move on

Thanks

Stop crying

I tell you

the more sorrowful you are, the happier they get

are you the same with them

look at me with the same view

what kind of view

say that my family is declined

have no silvers to pay the fee

and that's why I flattered you

Did you flatter me

why didn't I find out

I didn't

Alright

Since you didn't

why do you care how other people see you

But I

did treat you well

That's because I am handsome

everybody loves me, and flowers blossom for me

this is not your problem

this is mine

alright, stop crying

your face is original so round

you will make it rounder if you cry

yours is round, not mine

stop, stop

you are just like a big Bao Zi made with eggplants

I didn't say anything wrong

yours is a dumpling

and a big cake

you disgusting

Stop using the name Yuan Xiang

we can instead call you Yuan Xiao

Sorry

It's fine

Yuan Xiang

sorey

it was unfair for you

don't argue with Wen Xiu any more

I made great efforts to make her happy, here again come you

Wen Xiu always asks others to bully you

I can't put up with it

what else, so can't the young master

Yes, I can't

it's my poor foundation that makes me learn so slowly

and it makes sense that people look down on me

You have tried you best

as far as I am concerned, you are more capable than all of them

the young master

Don't say that anymore

The more you say like this

the worse they hate me

Just like Yuan Xiang

You made she to confront with Wen Xiu face to face today

that's why they have chance to insult her

the young master

don't say that anymore

It seems

as if it's my fault

I did not mean to accuse you

I mean

when you do something or say something in the future

don't do it or say it so straightforward

Yes, you're right

I'll listen to you

This is way too ugly

Yes, why so ugly

What is it?

You go back first

I'll go fetch something

See you later

OK

Ni Chang

Since the monster have praised your idea is amazing

There must be something we can learn from

Why don't we hang up this half piece of work

to be appreciated by everyone

what do you think

Look at this precious masterpiece

Where should we hang

What about here?

Of course, we should put it in the middle, shouldn't we

Exactly

Right here, exactly

What's wrong

Ni Chang

The sisters are just joking

What are you mad for

The jokes is over

Can I leave

This will be your fault

We by doing so

just want to help you make more progress

I'll appreciate that

This little girl is so arrogant

How dare she not follow our teaching?

Yes, who she think she is

Why are you still coming to the kitchen

I can't balance the account

I'm afraid my mom will punish me

so I decided to hide

Aunt Mei

You told me the raw cloth send at the beginning of the month

has been returned 13 bolts

It gives back 10 bolts

Should I list it to the gross inventory

or the loss

You're responsible for the account why you are asking me now

Who should I ask for

You should blame yourself for when you should study

climbing up the trees to pick eggs

You can't balance the account perfectly

just wait for your mom to punish you

It is written by others not perfectly

you can't blame it on me

The truth is that your skills is not perfect enough

they ask you to manage the account work

you always make a mess

Last time you wrote input instead of output by mistake

making us almost lost our sivers

Last time that was just a mistake

the young master

Can you let me look at it

What do you see for, it's all figures

Just hold it to see
