General Commander Helan

Lady Lan Ruo

Why it is bloomed on human body?

A kind of orchid

But I still don’t know what kind of poison it is

I need to take the sample for research

Cat tail silver needle

It must be done by Night Cat

Night Cat?

Is he a hero?

Him? Hero?

He’s always furtive

And he always looks down our Kylin Department

In my mind

He’s in with those robbers

They were fighting because of uneven distribution

If we failed to protect you in time

You may already die

You may already die

You may already die

Help

Quick, follow me

Quick

Gold-rimmed Nanmu

It’s rare

Give it back to me

Night Cat

Wait

Master

What happened?

Any new clues?

No

It’s about Helan

Matchmaker Meng from Joy Fang is here

To matchmake for Helan

Matchmaker Meng is arrived

Matchmaker Meng, could you matchmake for me?

I have house and horse vehicle

And I’m in good health

me too

The luck finally finds Helan

I’m so worried about his marriage

He’s in twenties

And he only knows investigating case

Is case investigation more interesting than chasing after girl?

I don’t know your rules

Matchmaker Meng

As a matchmaker

Why you need to check

Helan’s attendance record?

I need to assess various indicators

Absence means responsibility lacking

I will give a bad comment

That’s great

Helan has been worked in Kylin Department over ten years

He never rests

He even worked on New Year's Eve

Perfect attendance means no time to accompany wife

The worst of the worst comment

So

If you hope Helan

marries early

Don’t bother me

You

May 5, Year Yihai

500 taels official silver was stolen

The next day, at Dongcun cave

Four corpses were found

All burned

Four?

It should be five

One person missed

Who’s there?

It’s you

General Commander Helan, you’re lucky

You are the star of Joy Fang now

On behalf of those ladies

I’m here to do an assessment

I …

Ten years ago

You were hurt during the official silver case

Where is hurt?

Why you ask this?

I must be responsible for your bride in future

Matchmaker Meng, how’s your assessment?

Are you sa-

Satisfied with my Boss?

Bai, see her out

Remember, persons without permission

Are not allowed to get in Kylin Department

Yes, sir

Take one in the morning, and one at night

thanks

Send the medicine rest to the customer

Now, I know why you can offer 5,000 taels

The famous Weimeng Pill

Is produced by your Cixin Tang

Matchmaker Meng, why you’re here?

Last time, the event was interrupted by robbers

According to the rules of Joy Fang

The portrait of Helan Hongchen

I send it to you

I need to remind you that the Helan Hongchen

Only knows cases

You must know

He doesn’t have time for dating

It doesn’t matter

I don’t care

You are passionately devoted

This Helan Hongchen

Has seen various sanguinary cases

Will he become psychological distortion and anomic?

Impossible

He has high moral and integrity

But

there do have a small problem

Small problem?

He has gynephobia

Gynephobia?

He will feel uncomfortable when closing to woman

Therefore, sometimes, people may think he’s terrible

Ha, a single man, just cannot stand the affection of others

He’s jealous and fells happy to break up affectionate couples

What?

I mean

It is not easy to

Matchmaking for you two

Matchmaker Meng, you mean?

If you can make it success

I

I’m willing to pay more

Deal

I hope every customer is smart like you

So, you have any good idea?

The painter couple died this time

They were found dead this morning by servant

For those three murder cases

Except that all died at the wedding night

There is nothing in common

Stop

Hey, this Bro.

I wonder why your beard

Grows so well?

It’s inborn

Bai, go to invite lady Lan Ruo

Others look around for suspicious clues

Yes, sir

Yes, sir

Is that the murderer? Arrest him

Wait. Wait

It’s me

It’s me

Matchmaker Meng?

What’s going on?

I saw General Commander Helan suddenly fainted

I ran to rescue him

I did not know he already took precautions

I underestimated him

Did you see who shoot this?

No, I didn’t

Boss, Iet me chase the murderer

It’s late

Why are you dressed like this?

I’m matchmaking for lady Lan Ruo

She said you were afraid of women

I need to know in-depth

Whether you do have gynophobia

Or you have any special preference

Enough

Bai, take her out of here

You can go back now

I looked through many ancient books

Record was found in Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine

It is said

This orchid is a kind of poisonous flower originating from western region.

If the poison gets into the blood

It will grow quickly

When the flower blooms

The parasitifer will die

What a beautiful flower

How can it be poisonous?

Oh

I touched it

I …I …

I’m going to die

Anything can detoxicate it?

Sugar, the sugar can detoxicate it

We must hurry up

This flower will bloom for a moment

And he will die

Sugar

No, no

It is going to bloom

No, no

It is going to bloom

Take it and eat quickly

Give you more

It works

Don’t cut it

You will bleed to death

Try to eat more sugars

Here you are

Here you are

How many sugars should I eat?

Hum, I don’t know actually

Until the blossom falls?

Why is the orchid on his head white?

While those on other decedents’ are colorful?

It is said in the book that

Colorful orchid will be bloomed when the parasitifer is enamored

General Commander Helan

What’s going on?

Matchmaker Meng

Gold-rimmed Nanmu

It’s rare

Give it back to me

You robbed the official silver

And killed so many people

You’re brutal

They, they were not killed by me

Dad

Let’s solve it quickly

Otherwise

If mom knows, she will criticize us

Ok

You handle it

Don’t be bloody

Lingshu

Lingshu, are you alright?

Dad, I’m fine

Good

Dad

Dad

Dad

Let’s go, Lingshu

Lingshu, you go first

No, dad

Go, otherwise we all die

You go first

no

no

Lingshu, just follow my words

Run

No

Run, now

Dad

Run

Dad

Weimeng pill

Make crime again

Do you want to frame me up again?

I’m looking for you for ten years

Run

Who are you?

Why you pretend to be me?

Matchmaker Meng

Let me have a look

You get poisoned

Sugar can detoxicate it

Eat it now

Wait

Are those sugars on my window sill put by you?

You eat it firstly

Give me an explanation, or I won’t eat it

You have gynephobia?

You are a jerk actually

In fact

I knew you very early

Once upon a time, I was bullied

And you helped me

Release your hand

Give the sugar to us

Release your hand

Release your hand

Give me. Release your hand

You bad guys

Let him go

Meng Lingshu

Run

Wait for me

Give it to me

You think you put it in your mouth

And I cannot get it?

From now on, you are mine

If anyone bully you

Tell them my name

From that time on

If I touched any woman

I’ll feel uncomfortable

Don’t you

Don’t you want me to be responsible for you?

I, actually

How about this?

I’ll give you 5kg sugar back

And we’re even

I want to say

I

You like me?

Love only makes

Man and woman like you get infatuated

I never thought you believe it

Sorry

I have seen through the love

And I am not interested in you

well

Why both you and that guy have the same ring?

They are the legacies of our mother

You?

He’s my elder brother

Ten years ago, my mother was ill, and we did not have money to treat her

My brother and three robbers went to rob the official silver

And he was engulfed in fire

I doubted about his death all the time

Then, I joined in Kylin Department

And I checked the archive

It recorded four corpses were found

And I believed that

he already died

That was not him

It was my dad.

In order to investigate the official silver case

My dad was killed by him in this cave

I will kill him personally soon or later

Anybody in?

Yes

It’s General Commander Helan

Boss, we’ll save you

Be careful

Wait

What did he say?

He said hurry up

Hurry. Hurry

Hurry. Hurry

Wait

Hurry up

Matchmaker Meng?

Why you are here?

By accident, by accident

By accident

Your clothes?

By accident, by accident

By accident

How do you find us?

Several years ago, my employee ever saw

Such orchid in this cave

And I told to Bai

I’m glad you are fine

Boss

Another couple died last night

The carpenter couple

I don’t know why Night Cat kill them

What’s his purpose?

Night cat is not the murderer

Not the Night Cat?

Then anyone else will do such inhumane thing?

Last night, when carpenter couple died

I was on the scene

I failed to capture the murderer

But the occurrence of murderer

Verifies my guess

Your guess?

Bai

You ever researched on decedents, right?

Yes, Manager Wu, the painter

And the hunter

But no clue was found

Even no relationship was found

among their dates of birth and horoscope eight characters

All you researched are about the grooms

Ever you researched on brides?

Brides?

In fact, the aim of the murderer was not the grooms

But the brides

The first couple murdered

Was the hunter couple

Meng

Matchmaker Meng

Do you know the birthday and eight characters of a horoscope of the bride?

March 8, Year Jiachen

You even know this?

I know the dates of birth and horoscope eight characters

of all single ladies and men in Fengcheng City

If not, I won’t be given the name of Gold Matchmaker Meng

Understand?

The people born in Year Jiachen belongs to “wood” among Five Elements

The house of the hunter at the east of the city

East belongs to “wood”, too

The second murder case

Tie Xin, the daughter of blacksmith

Her birthday is February 7, Year Bingwu

Belong to “fire”

While the workshop, at south of the city, also belongs to “fire”

The third murder case

The wife of painter, Mei Niang

Her birthday is May 10, Year Wuxu

The house of painter, at the middle of the city, belongs to “earth”

Mei Niang’s birthday belongs to “earth”, too

The fourth murder case. Weaver Lian

Her birthday is April 9, Year Gengxu

The spinning mill, at the west of the city, belongs to “gold”

Lian’s birthday belongs to “gold”, too

Wood generates fire, and fire generates earth

Earth generates gold, and gold generates water

That is to say

The murder kills according to Five Elements

But

Killing according to Five Elements

And adopting poisonous orchid

What’s the purpose of the murderer

And why the murderer

Knew personal information of each couple

Long time ago, I heard about a kind of secret medicine

It is made of the emotional fragrance of people belonged to different elements‘

Called “beauty pill”

It can recover appearance and keep eternal beauty

The murder kills for beauty?

According to such regulation, the next victim

Will be a lady belonged to “water”

I have an idea

Lady Lan Ruo

Do you belong to “water” among Five Elements?

We can hold a wedding

You’ll be the bride to attract that murderer

Who’s the groom, my Boss?

Everyone in the city knows that lady Lan Ruo offered 5,000 taels

To buy the portrait of my Boss

It is not a secret

I …

We can investigate the case and protect Lan Ruo at the same time

It’s a deal

Ok, deal

Childish

It’s getting cold. Keep warm

I see a cat chasing after a mouse today

And I am thinking of you

Yesterday, I chase after a criminal for hundreds of miles,

and button was painful

Recently, the meals got worse and worse

I’ll cook for you if I have chance

It’s raining outside,

and I’m missing you

You even do not touch those sugars before

What’s in your hand?

The complaint

Don’t worry

You only need to earn money

Lady Lan Ruo

You suit this dress well

Matchmaker Meng, could you comb for me?

I will charge for combing

This is the final payment, 3,000 taels

And 1,000 taels in addition to express my thanks

This wedding is fake

You take it seriously?

Though the wedding is fake

My affection is real

You ever though he may like someone else?

No, I don’t worry, because I have your help

As long as I can stay with General Commander Helan for a lifetime

5,000 taels is worthwhile

Even should I offer all belongings of mine

I will not hesitate

I don’t think he is worth so much money

Do you think I’m stupid?

You’ll do so if you love someone

I only want more customers like you

The more, the better

Then, I’ll be rich

What’s wrong, General Commander Helan?

You’re one track-minded

The last one

I write down all I want to tell you

Sugar?

Go to eat wedding sugars

Fine

The bride is coming

Be quick, Boss

Congratulation

Today

General Commander of Kylin Department, Helan Hongchen

And lady Lan Ruo of Cixin Tang, marry here

The groom is talent, and the bride is beautiful

It’s a heaven-made match

Congratulation

Congratulation

First, bow to the heaven and earth

Second, bow to relatives and friends

Husband and wife bow to each other

You are husband and wife now

Congratulation

Husband can kiss wife now

Kiss, kiss

Kiss, kiss

General Commander Helan

Is this for me?

No

Your gynephobia is cured?

You don’t afraid to touch woman now?

You’re cured because of Matchmaker Meng?

Do you remember this hairpin?

I was in poor health

when I was little

And I was always bullied by others

Once, someone threw my hairpin on the street

It was you, who drove that bad guy away

And picked up the hairpin for me

From that time on, I fell in love to you

I know

There’s only Matchmaker Meng in your mind

Night Cat

Here

Quick!

Go after him

Quick!

Bai

He’s there

Sucks, it’s a trap

Don't let him get away

Boss, he’s coming

Be careful

Don’t hurt him

Hongchen

As long as I’m alive

I won’t let you hurt her

Hurry, surround them

Arrest Night Cat Meng Lingshu right now

Yes

Help

Ye

You know it’s me

How can I don’t know

Give yourself up

Give myself up?

See?

It has been ten years

I never have the courage to see my face

Ten years

Do you know what I’ve suffered

And what kind of life I lived?

If you didn’t impede my way

Night Cat won’t know that I robbed the official silver

And our mother won’t die

You are promising now

The General Commander of Kylin Department

How about me

I muddle along

You ask me giving myself up?

Kill me first

Use the life of your own brother

For reward

Come on

Stop doing this

Move quickly

Don‘t push me

Some people are looked glamorous

Did you know?

But are criminals in fact

The Matchmaker Meng, only wants to earn money

No couple matchmade by her live happily

I heard that General Commander Helan

Was killed by her

What did you say?

Is she the Meng Lingshu?

She is

Beat her

Mom?

Come in

This...

Mom?

Mom?

Mom?

Mom, I’m sorry

I should not cheat you

I already knew

Your temper is same as your father

Your father

He knows that I don’t like bloody things

And he, as the Night Cat

Secretly helps the weak

I love him so much

I pretend to know nothing

Where is it?

mom

A man blocked a knife for me

Is this strange?

A man ever blocked a knife for me, too

Then?

Then

I married him

Oh, my love

You back for mask?

Is it more important than your life?

You got it

For a woman

The face is most important

Matchmaker Meng

General Commander Helan is injured

He is at my place now

He is carotic

And he calls your name all the time

He called your name for 301 times

While he did not call my name even once

He is right there

You come in

She also belongs to “water” among Five Elements

We can make “beauty pill” in soon

But

only one pill can be made

It’s ok. I’ll give it to you

You are worth everything

Though the “beauty pill” is made

What if he still doesn’t love you?

I have method to

Let him stay with me forever

I thought this fake Night Cat

Did various evils to make “beauty pill”

For himself

I never imagine he did all things for you

Lady Lan Ruo

You pretended to be stunned?

If I didn’t

How could I get into this place making “beauty pill”?

I should have known

Except me, in Fengcheng City

The people know the dates of birth

and horoscope eight characters of all single ladies and men

Only you, doctor Lan Ruo in Cixin Tang

You grow orchids here

And extract poison from them

You made crimes using Weimeng Pill as excuse

You applied the poison on my cat tail silver needle

And framed me up

It seems that you were identifying corpses at the scene

But your purpose was the orchid

With emotional fragrance bloomed on bride’s body

Fine, I underestimated you

I admit my crime, but what can you do?

Since I loved Helan Hongchen

I cannot stand my face

Therefore

I found the orchid

And I asked Ye to kill those new couples

To make “beauty pill”

The “beauty pill” will give me a good appearance

At that time

Helan Hongchen will love me

Unfortunately

He already gave his heart to me ten years ago

Tell me, where is him?

Right behind you

What did you do to him?

Since I cannot let him marry me

I changed him into a tree man

So, he can stay with me forever

Blue orchid

My guess is right. You do love him

Unlucky

you will, in soon

Become part of my “beauty pill”

You still try to save her?

You

Lan Ruo

Lan Ruo

Lan Ruo

Do I become ugly?

Am I?

No

No

No, you are beautiful all the time

Lan Ruo

Lan Ruo

Lan Ruo

I’ll see how you save her

Lan Ruo

As long as I’m alive

I won’t let you hurt her

I want to say

You like me?

You all go to hell

go to hell

Why are you doing this to me?

You all go to hell

Helan Hongchen

Why are you doing this to me?

Lan Ruo

I have nothing now

Nothing

Lan Ruo

Be careful

You still have me

The last one

I write down

all I want to tell you

Lingshu

Lingshu

Lingshu

You rejected a big deal again?

That was 10,000 taels order

That guy smokes, drinks

Even has domestic violence

He already has 13 wives

I don’t want to hurt more good girls

But, recent several months

You already rejected more than 20 orders

If you still reject order

Maybe we need to sale the house

Yesterday

I received the biggest order

Only the earnest is 100,000 taels

You know what

It was a matchmaking for me

My mom was so happy

And she even wants me getting married tomorrow

Helan Hongchen, you heard me?

People pursued me line up a street

If you still don’t awake

And tell me what are written in this paper

I’ll be other’s wife

Oh, it’s the wind
