[Legend of Fuyao]

22

~ Episode 28 ~

23

The night of the wedding?

24

What about it?

25

According to Deep Water Nation's customs. The Royal Wedding

26

requires both Zhang Henian and I to provide 60% of our military power

27

to form the Deep Water Nation King's own royal guard.

28

This will make a total of 150,000 soldiers. We shouldn't neglect such number.

29

You can pick any day you like.

30

It's just that you're already plotting a revolt.

31

Why are you still worried that puppet King will steal your power?

32

On the day of the wedding, all the royal court will be in the palace.

33

Those who support me,

34

I will keep. But those who oppose me. I'll get rid of them all.

35

It'll pave my way for the future. Isn't that better?

36

You sure are cruel and devious.

37

I like it. Then it's confirmed.

38

After 3 days. On the 19th of this month.

39

On the day of the Royal Wedding.

40

I, Zhangsun Pinrong, will definitely come congratulate you.

41

Then it's settled, First Royal Son.

42

I eager await.

43

[Mirror Moon Pool]

44

These petals were freshly picked this morning.

45

WIth this treatment, the King will surely be enchanted by our Lady

46

tomorrow at the Royal Wedding.

47

What are you talking about?

48

Even without these petals,

49

the King is still enchanted by our Lady.

50

Get out.

51

My Lady.

52

Get lost!

53

Leave!

54

Father.

55

Your daughter is unfilial.

56

But the future of the Tang family,

57

is in my hands.

58

I promise to be a good Queen.

59

Once I'm in power,

60

to those who bullied me,

61

betrayed our family,

62

I will...

63

Your Majesty, the inner palace has delivered tomorrow's ceremonial robes.

64

There nine items.

65

Your Majesty, although the position of Queen isn't that important.

66

But is it really appropriate to give it to such an unscrupulous woman?

67

It's not up to you or me whether it's appropriate.

68

It's impossible to control in life,

69

what should and shouldn't happen.

70

If Tang Zhirong is willing to betray everything for it,

71

then I'll just give the position of Queen to her.

72

Whether she deserves it or not,

73

will depend on her fortune.

74

What is happening?

75

Why am I here?

76

Lady Fair.

77

Greetings, Lady Fair. The King asks to see you.

78

The King? Isn't he...

79

Godfather.

80

Please rise, child. Please rise.

81

Please rise. You've been startled, haven't you?

82

Godfather you could have just asked me to come.

83

You didn't need to organise this.

84

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

85

Oh that's right. You were looking at this before.

86

Do you know what it is?

87

Look. Sparkling and golden.

88

This is the Nine Phoenix Coronet.

89

This is the ceremonial crown of Deep Water Queen.

90

The Queen's ceremonial crown?

91

Shouldn't it be with Tang Zhirong?

92

Who did it?

93

We're looking into it.

94

Keep an eye on it. Find a good spot

95

- for her burial.

- I understand.

96

Who else is missing?

97

Tell me.

98

Miss Fuyao.

99

Maybe she left earlier than planned? It's hard to say?

100

She wouldn't have gone so quickly.

101

Not this coincidentally.

102

Qi Zhen must have set his plan in motion.

103

What does Qi Zhen want with Miss Fuyao?

104

I want you to be the Queen of Deep Water.

105

Godfather.

106

The Nine Phoenix Coronet and Scarlet Cloud Gown

107

is prepared especially for the Queen of Deep Water Nation.

108

In my eyes, you are the only worthy candidate

109

to be the Queen of Deep Water Nation.

110

Godfather. Do you want me to imitate Tang Zhirong?

111

No of course not.

112

You misunderstand.

113

I want you to officially be Xuanyuan Min's Queen.

114

Tomorrow's wedding will go ahead as planned.

115

Before the ceremony begins, the inner palace will send a new decree,

116

proclaiming a new Queen. It will be you.

117

But, it's not marriage personally decreed by the King.

118

Do you really think I'll let you actually get married?

119

No. You're a dagger.

120

A dagger I've placed by Xuanyuan Min's side.

121

For the wedding tomorrow, according to the customs

122

half the nation's troops will be reorganised.

123

As imperial guards, or royal guards.

124

And the marshal's seal that controls the imperial guards,

125

will be personally handed over by the Queen as part of the wedding ceremony.

126

The marshal's seal has never been given to a woman from the harem before.

127

The people will revolt if they knew the harem was entering politics.

128

Of course the imperial guard is controlled by the King. This is just a ceremony.

129

But if anyone was plotting to steal the marshal's seal,

130

the ceremony tomorrow would be the best time to do it.

131

I understand.

132

Godfather wants me to steal the marshal's seal for you?

133

Yes. As long as I have the marshal's seal,

134

all 150,000 of the imperial guard will be under my control.

135

Then no matter how clever Xuanyuan Min is, he won't stand a chance.

136

Godfather. You're giving me such an important mission. I'm afraid...

137

Failure is not an option!

138

Child, don't forget.

139

All the lives in your family,

140

are in your hands.

141

I will definitely do my utmost best.

142

Good child. Tomorrow, at the wedding,

143

you will be closest to Xuyuan Min.

144

Your position is the least suspect of all.

145

Remember, watch me.

146

Wait for my signal.

147

Then, help me,

148

kill him with no hesitation. Kill him.

149

Assassinate the King and get the throne.

150

Yes. Assassinate the King and get the throne.

151

I've been waiting too long for this day.

152

Your Majesty.

153

What is it?

154

The rumours of Lady Precious' accident are abound.

155

With such good servants,

156

how can the palace keep any secrets?

157

Forgive me, Your Majesty.

158

I'm utterly devoted to you.

159

I know where your loyalty lies.

160

What do you want?

161

Your Majesty.

162

The courtiers say, although Lady Precious is gone,

163

but the wedding ceremony is a national event.

164

It should still go ahead.

165

If the King can choose another candidate for the position?

166

What are those old geezers saying now?

167

Please have a look, Your Majesty.

168

[... Lady Fair will be a good candidate...]

169

Yuwen Zi?

170

The ugly girl in the solitary palace?

171

She deserves to be the Queen of Deep Water Nation?

172

Your Majesty, the officials say...

173

What officials?

174

This is clearly Prime Minister Qi Zhen's idea.

175

He's never been happy I chose Rong'er to be Queen.

176

He definitely has something to do with her murder!

177

Your Majesty, you don't have evidence.

178

I don't have evidence? My Queen was murdered.

179

Now my words as King are unsubstantiated?

180

Fine. Go back and tell them.

181

I don't care who's Queen anymore. They can pick whoever they like.

182

Get lost! All of you!

183

Your Majesty, what about the candidate for Queen?

184

Do you want me to repeat myself?

185

Of course, I'll leave now

186

Don't get too angry, Your Majesty. It's bad for your health.

187

I can breathe easier knowing that girl is fine.

188

Are you worried about her too?

189

I originally wanted her to leave. But we can't control fate.

190

If she's pre-destined to be my Queen. There's nothing I can do.

191

You're scared of Qi Zhen, that sly fox?

192

Don't worry.

193

He'd never suspect I'd have the courage to make things difficult for him.

194

He just thinks he's got spies everywhere.

195

But he forgets, it's easy to catch trapped prey.

196

You think he'll resist?

197

That's true.

198

He's bribed and colluded with everyone.

199

It took some effort.

200

If all his supporters came together,

201

it'll be almost a 400,000 strong army.

202

If you're scared, go back first.

203

Your Majesty. The Prime Minister seeks an audience.

204

Shi Lan what are you doing here?

205

The Prime Minister was concerned you're not being served well. So he sent me.

206

Shi Lan, get me a cup of tea.

207

Go, tell Xuanyuan Min. Qi Zhen wants to kill him.

208

- Tell him to escape, now.

- Escape?

209

How is he supposed to escape? There are soldiers everywhere. It's incredibly dangerous.

210

If he escapes now. Both you and I are dead.

211

It isn't worth it.

212

This is something I painstainkingly made over 3 months.

213

Prepared especially for your wedding.

214

This is the land of Deep Water Nation.

215

Along with a dragon and phoenix.

216

Please accept my amateur skills as a token.

217

There's no water in the tea pot. I'll go get some.

218

The water will be here soon.

219

- Here.

- Thanks.

220

Guys, I'm really hungry.

221

- Can I...

- Your meal has already been prepared.

222

My Lady

223

Guys, my stomach really hurts.

224

Can I please use the bathroom?

225

No. Bring it here.

226

The Prime Minister has everything organised.

227

But it's hard for me to go, with you guys here.

228

Then please hurry.

229

- What do we do?

- We have to just give it a go.

230

Yuan Bao!

231

Yuan Bao!

232

Yuan Bao!

233

Yuan Bao!

234

I don't know how to thank you for your thoughtful gift.

235

After tomorrow, you'll be my father-in-law.

236

It's the fortune of Deep Water Nation that we can be so close.

237

You're exaggerating, my King.

238

I ordered a plaque especially for you.

239

You've worked hard all these years.

240

[Sacrifice for the Nation]

241

Sacrifice oneself?

242

For the nation?

243

Thank you, Your Majesty.

244

Please, rise.

245

Yuan Bao truly understands me.

246

He's so excited for the ceremony tomorow.

247

That stupid hamster. Of all times to be lazy.

248

Your owner's in big trouble.

249

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by Fuyao's Court Team @ Viki.com

250

Godfather.

251

- Is everything prepared?

- Yes.

252

Where is Yun'er?

253

Did you forget? You already organised for Miss Yun'er and the Madam to leave the city.

254

They should arrive in Sweet District within 2 or 3 days.

255

Reporting!

256

Prime Minister, the person we were looking for, is ready.

257

- Watch him closely.

- Yes.

258

You may leave.

259

I just had my fortune told.

260

It was very auspicious.

261

It seems even the Heavens are looking after me.

262

Remember, bring this person tomorrow.

263

I want to let that Xuanyuan Min have a look. See what he says.

264

Yes, Godfather. Heaven helps good people.

265

Of course Heaven will look after you.

266

But Godfather, why do you choose to revolt on the day of the Royal Wedding?

267

If it's just to kiil Xuanyuan Min, I wouldn't need to be so meticulous.

268

But there's also that crowd of old officials.

269

As long as they're around. My heart can't be at ease.

270

Zhang Henian, Marquis Sea Hut: Chen Yi, General Ethics: Zhao Shuo,

271

Capture Barbarian Department Head: Wang Deshan, all these people

272

have never been happy with me.

273

We'll use this opportunity tomorrow.

274

Get rid of them all.

275

But godfather, I had a look at the guest list for tomorrow.

276

There's thousands of people.

277

There'll definitely be collateral damage.

278

I've been waiting for this moment for so many years.

279

Tomorrow. All those against me, will be killed.

280

Even those with me, who stand in my way,

281

will also be removed.

282

Godfather, rest easy. It will be the last time.

283

Good knife.

284

The Lady Yuwen becomes Queen.

285

A public festival for her coronation ceremony.

286

Why have we stopped again?

287

This is the rules, my Lady.

288

The coronation of the Queen,

289

needs to be blessed by the gods every ten steps.

290

It also thanks the gods, for giving Deep Water Nation

291

a virtuous, docile, beautiful,

292

- kind and moral Queen.

- Alright, alright alright.

293

How many more customs are there?

294

The wedding ceremony today has three sections: the Coronation, the Greeting and the Nuptials

295

We've only just started the Coronation ceremony.

296

We'll go to the Queen's residence Forever Excellent Palace Hall to read the edict.

297

Then we'll take the new Queen to greet her throne.

298

- Then read the coronation scripture and accept coronation gifts.

- Just go.

299

Prefect Xiping's assistance of the Prime Minister today will not be forgotten.

300

I'll go report to the Prime Minister now. The Prefect's army is heading to the city immediately.

301

Stinky hamster. It's my wedding day yet you're the one all dressed up.

302

I called you for ages yesterday and you didn't come.

303

Yet you know it's me in this palanquin today.

304

But of course, there's nothing your owner doesn't know.

305

If that's the case, then good. I worried for nothing yesterday.

306

You have something for me?

307

The day of the Grand Wedding will be the time of great chaos.

308

Quickly finish the wedding rites. Once I call you bitch,

309

you must leave. The faster, the better.

310

This was written by your master?

311

Okay. I got it. Quickly hide.

312

When will we arrive?

313

Lady, don't rush.

314

You are the queen of Deep Water Nation. You mustn't fret.

315

How many more bowing rituals must we still do?

316

Look. For kneeling and bowing throughout this journey,

317

we still must spend a few more hours.

318

I can't wait anymore.

319

Lady, you mustn't!

320

Spread my decree. Skip all unnecessary and elaborate etiquette today!

321

Rush towards the main palace hall. Whoever dares to delay me, I'll punish him!

322

Run!

323

Lady!

324

Lady, this is against customs! Lady!

325

Quickly chase her!

326

Quickly prepare. Queen is here.

327

Queen is here?

328

Greetings, Queen.

329

Don't bother with it.

330

Quickly read your customary scripture.

331

Use just once incense time. If you're unable to finish reading it, I'll punish you.

332

A woman from the Changning's Yuwen clan, the goddaughter of Prime Minister Qi Zhen,

333

an aristocratic family of the Zhongxiang County, a clan endowed with favorable spirits.

334

innately gentle and composed, refined and follows etiquette,

335

respectful and with wonderful demeanor, amicable and with high morals,

336

kindness has become her second nature, endowed with virtuous disposition...

337

One incense time is about to end!

338

The Lady from Changning's Yuwen clan is being bestowed as the leader of the six palaces.

339

That's all!

340

Accept the decree!

341

What's going on?

342

What's going on here?

343

So preposterous... This is so absurd!

344

It's not yet the auspicious time. Why were we all asked to come to the main palace hall already?

345

Based on usual customs, they should first make an offering to the heaven in Qinsheng (sacred royal) Gates first

346

and then go to Chengming (inheriting the light) Palace Hall to receive the congratulations of different nation's envoys.

347

- That's right.

- Lastly, they will come to this main palace hall to do the title conferring ceremony.

348

How come they just directly went to the third step?

349

This is all messed up.

350

His Majesty is here!

351

Greetings, Your Majesty!

352

Let's start.

353

But Your Majesty...Queen is...

354

When I say start, you start.

355

How about you do this wedding then?

356

Yes.

357

The title conferring ceremony will now start! Start the music!

358

Stop!

359

The auspicious time hasn't arrived yet. Why start the music?

360

Are you trying to change the ancestral rules too?

361

Prime Minister, I made that order.

362

Your Majesty, aren't you being too impatient? Today is the title conferring grand ceremony.

363

Queen isn't here. Who are you conferring a title to?

364

Queen will be here soon.

365

Queen's carriage is proceeding in a poised manner and had to make several offertory bows along the way,

366

I fear that she'll need an hour more to reach this place.

367

The Queen is here!

368

This...how come Queen came out on her own?

369

For several hundreds of years, Deep Water Nation has never seen such an absurd matter.

370

Your Majesty, I was late. Did I miss the auspicious time?

371

Whatever time Queen comes is the auspicious time.

372

Sprinkle the sacred water!

373

- Godfather.

- What time is it?

374

It's still 2 hours before the third quarter of si hour(around 10 am).

375

They more or less should have arrived.

376

But since this wedding proceeded ahead of time, I fear that the reinforcement army from Heavenly Fiend Nation hasn't arrived yet.

377

This...

378

Delay it. Delay everyone here to stay until the third quarter of si hour.

379

Immediately call that person over.

380

Yes.

381

Bow!

382

Your Majesty!

383

Prime Minister, what is it now?

384

I fear that we cannot proceed with the wedding yet.

385

Prime Minister, how bold of you to say that?

386

His Majesty is the ruler of Deep Water Nation.

387

Other than the previous emperor, who dares to stop his wedding?

388

Could it be that Prime Minister is claiming to have been possessed by the previous emperor?

389

General Guide (Return of Morals) is right.

390

The king has power bestowed by the gods. How can an ordinary folk assume to be superior than him?

391

What if...

392

...the person up there isn't of Xuanyuan blood?

393

Those words are punishable by execution!

394

I'm loyal to the

395

Xuanyuan royal family. The heaven and earth can prove it!

396

Since I started work for the government,

397

I've always put the nation's interest as priority in everything that I did.

398

But today...

399

...if I knew that person up there is fake

400

and I still will offer him the customary bows of respect,

401

hence, trampling this official court uniform of Deep Water Nation,

402

that better fits as a crime punishable by execution!
