Today, they're doing the final votes

for the Seoyeong Market development rights.

It's time for me to choose my successor.

If he can succeed today...

I will give this to my son.

But if he fails...

Then...

Let me ask you, Seonho.

You say that if the shop owners work together,

there is a future for everyone.

Then how will you explain

the current state of Seoyeong Market?

Will you say that it's because

the owners aren't working together right now.

- That's... / - What the shop owners need...

Is not an uncertain future but a certain present.

I hope you don't miss out on this new opportunity

provided by Mosung Group. Thank you.

If he fails, I don't know who this key will go to.

I guess in time...

The owner of this key will appear.

I said this from the start.

That I can't promise you a profit

or proper compensation.

That hasn't changed.

That is because...

If you think about the compensation...

Then you've already given up on Seoyeong Market.

From the start of this project...

I couldn't put a price on Seoyeong Market.

Seoyeong Market...

Represents your memories...

Your love...

And your history.

I will never make you leave this place.

Because this place...

Is your life.

All you can do is your best in life.

You've done all you can,

how we just have to leave it to the heavens.

Yes, Mrs. Han.

Whether it's the heavens or whatever...

Can't it move quicker?

It won't be easy to defeat that Min Seonho.

He's pretty tough.

It'll be fine. Don't worry.

I'm not worried.

Anyone can see it.

We've already won.

Please come back up.

We'll announce the results.

Really?

I see.

We won! We won!

We won! Hooray!

This is absurd.

Something clearly went wrong.

Our proposal and conditions were perfect.

Something's definitely wrong here.

I need to check the count myself.

Are you accusing us of fixing the ballot?

The voting process was open and transparent.

If Mrs. Han agrees,

we can make it public.

We don't mind.

If you want to check, go ahead.

There's no need to make a fool of ourselves.

We should go.

With that much compensation,

you would have obviously expected to win.

But it's time for you

to learn that money isn't everything.

Only then will you live a different life

to your father.

Min Seonho...

Do you know that Kang Jiyu helped him out?

Why do you think she came to our house?

Why do you think she became father's caregiver?

Father didn't want to believe it like you don't.

But think hard about what happened today.

Do you still not get it?

Kang Jiyu came to our house for Min Seonho.

Your loss today...

Was a collaboration between the two.

Open your eyes!

Kang Jiyu won't be by your side, it's me.

Kang Jiyu is by Min Seonho's side.

But I am by your side.

Kang Jiyu is your past.

But I am your present.

You'll learn sooner or later.

That I'm the only one by your side.

Kang Jiyu will never return to you.

Because I won't let it happen.

The chairman wants to see you.

Your phone's been ringing for a while.

Why don't you pick it up?

- Yes? / - Jiyu!

I wanted you to be the first person to hear.

We won the rights to the Seoyeong Market development.

We beat Mosung Group.

Come to the restaurant when you get off work.

Everyone's meeting here.

Okay, I will.

I'll see you then.

Jiyu's happy about it, right?

What's wrong?

She doesn't sound too happy.

Gosh, as if.

It's probably because she's working.

Chairman, your lunch is ready.

Grind me more ink.

Why don't you eat first?

I have no appetite.

This is why I can't die.

This is why.

I can't even die...

Or even just be sick.

Sir, Gangu is home.

Don't scold him too much.

He did the best he could.

The opposition was too good.

Pardon me...

Hurry up and grind the ink!

Yes...

Report what happened today.

You know everything anyway.

You were in charge.

You did it, so you should report.

What are you doing? Give me your report.

We lost.

I tried to win in your way by offering money,

and we were crushed. Are you happy?

Why you little...

How could we lose Seoyeong Market of all places?

Seoyeong Market!

What did I say?

I told you we couldn't lose Seoyeong Market!

Didn't I say to do whatever it takes to win?

So how could you lose Seoyeong Market?

You're useless.

You're hopeless.

You're nothing.

To think, I wanted to make something out of you.

Pathetic loser.

Fine. I'm a loser.

I can't do anything right, can I?

I just can't do anything right, can I?

Who could be worse than me? Huh?

How dare you raise your voice?

Why else would I have gotten married

when you made me?

Came and went as you demanded!

I'm so hopeless that

I can't distinguish the living from the dead.

How much of an idiot must I be?

How much of a mess!

Why I ought to!

Chairman, please...

Get me some cold water.

You can dare call yourself Yu Manho's son?

You went to the best university

and even studied overseas.

What are you lacking that you can't even win

some development rights?

If you don't have the talent,

use money or force!

Whatever it takes to take those rights!

Is that all that matters?

Should I have hired thugs to intimidate and bride?

Just like you did?

Why you little...

You still haven't got it together!

That's right!

How can I, when you're like this?

You think money can solve everything.

You teach that with money everything is okay.

So how can I live with a sane mind?

What?

If only you had taught me...

That there are more important things than money.

If only you had said just once

that I'm more important to you than money.

You could have done that, father!

Why you...

Chairman, are you alright?

If only I had one more son,

I would've gotten rid of you long ago.

- Get rid of me. / - What?

Get rid of me then.

Please get rid of me from your life! Please!

There he goes again.

He's the only son, but anytime anything happens,

he goes after him like that.

How could anything go well for him?

Do they not get along?

Don't get me started.

He always picks on him for being his mistress' child.

But it's not like his son is the type to obey.

They're exactly the same.

A mistress' child?

This family is really complicated.

I feel really sorry for Director Yu Gangu.

His father is like that. His sister is a pain.

And it's not like he's close to his wife.

I feel bad for him.

What did you say?

Fine! Quit everything then!

Yes, I will.

I'll quit everything!

We never have a peaceful day. Not once.

Pour me some juice.

Yes.

I have one brother and he's so pathetic.

I knew it from the time he got drunk every day,

even before he went to the U.S.

He just wasted money. Nothing's changed.

The things he does...

Geez, he's so detestable.

Here's your juice.

I don't feel like it anymore!

The company you've created...

I'm not interested in it the slightest bit.

So please just give up on me.

The son you don't even love...

Just give up on me.

Fine!

I don't want to even look at you, so get lost!

Chairman...

Chairman.

Are you...

I didn't want you to see me like this.

But...

You're bleeding.

There's nothing to worry about.

Go on in.

Get me my pills.

You should eat first...

I'm not hungry. Give me my pills.

Who is Mrs. Han's representative?

Who did she get and what did he do

that you lost Seoyeong Market

despite all that compensation?

Well...

He proposed a very different design

to the traditional market development plans.

- Design? / - Yes.

He majored in design and has an MBA.

So he redesigned the market

and even proposed a new business strategy.

I think that's what influenced the shop owners.

Geez...

Mrs. Han seems to have a good man with her.

So? Who is that?

His name is Min Seonho.

Min Seonho?

Isn't this too much, Mrs. Han?

You should have days like this in life.

It's okay to do whatever you want

on a good day like today.

Are you that happy?

Of course.

We protected this market.

And that's not all. We created a great future

that we can share with the people here.

It's all thanks to you, Seonho.

Thank you.

What are you doing here at this hour?

Did you miss me that much?

Yeah...

What's this? What happened?

Who did this? Why do you keep getting hurt?

It was nothing.

It was just a bad man who knows nothing but money.

I got into an argument with him.

Are you okay?

It must hurt.

Does it hurt?

No.

This is nice.

What the?

I should keep getting hurt...

So that I can be treated nicely by you.

This isn't time to joke around.

Getting hurt all the time. Geez.

Ouch. Give me a kiss.

A kiss...

I am all better,

so I'll give it to you.

I'm sure you'll get better soon,

just as I got better.

Did you look into it?

The chairman got angry

but he didn't say much else.

I thought he'd fire him on the spot.

I guess father must really have his heart with Gangu.

That's good. We'll aim for the next opportunity.

How are you going looking for my mom?

Why haven't I heard anything yet?

Umm...

What is it?

Is there a problem?

Is my mom...

Well...

Tell me. What happened to her?

I think she's gone missing.

What?

I got everyone I trust all over the nation

to look for her.

But no one's found any trace of her.

There is nothing else they can do to look.

They've concluded that she's gone missing.

That means..

It couldn't be.

They say if a dementia patient goes missing,

it's rare to find them.

What does that mean?

Are you saying...

She could be dead?

I'm sorry that's all I have to report.

Fine. You may go.

Are you okay?

I said to get out!

Mom.

Then was that...

The last time I'll see my mom?

I've hated her all my life.

I hated her with all my heart.

Come on in!

- Hi. / - Come on in.

- Hello. / - Come in.

- Hello. / - We came because you said to...

But I don't know if we belong here.

I told you. We have a right to be here.

Am I right, brother?

Of course. Jichan was a huge help.

See that?

The more the merrier for a celebration,

so have a seat.

Then thank you.

Mrs. Park's always quick to eat.

She's so embarrassing.

What's so embarrassing about eating food

that's made to be eaten?

A mother's cooking tastes best in this world.

It's so good. Try this.

You should eat too, madam.

- It's so good. / - Geez.

- Stop eating! / - So funny.

It's very very familiar.

Something I saw every day in the U.S.

Go in and rest.

If he gets drunk,

you don't know what he might break.

Hide anything that's expensive

and you should leave too.

He'll stop eventually.

Don't drink so quickly. Drink slowly.

I ruined everything.

Once again, I ruined everything.

I wanted to do well in front of Jiyu.

I really wanted...

To look good in front of her.

But I failed again.

Now she knows...

How much of a loser I am.

How messed up my family is...

She saw it all.

Jiyu's come back alive.

I've finally met the Jiyu I've longed so much for.

But...

Compared to when I thought she was dead...

I'm more afraid now.

Why? What are you so afraid of?

I feel like I'll lose her again.

I feel like...

She really...

Is going to leave me.

It terrifies me.

She won't runaway anymore.

Why are you so impatient?

Don't rush and take it slowly.

Slowly?

Slowly how? How?

When Jiyu...

When right next to her...

She has another man.

What?

Jiyu has another man?

Seonho, you are now my son.

What? Your son?

That's right.

It's not like I have kids or a family.

Seonho is now my son.

Everyone, keep that in mind.

But wasn't he always your son, Mrs. Han?

Keep it down.

You won't have to worry too much

about the Seoyeong Market development.

I'll find a company to carry out your design plan.

So you do whatever you want.

I'll help you with whatever you want.

Wow, Mrs. Han has nothing but money.

You'll support everything?

That's right. I have no kids or a husband anyway.

All I have is money. You are correct.

So I plan to use it all on Seonho now.

Thank you for the thought.

Spend the money for better things.

I'm going to give Seonho everything he wants.

You can't refuse.

Brother.

Don't forget that I helped you out.

Hey, I was with him from the start.

He's always been my best friend.

Okay! On a great day like today...

We can't just stay in our seats.

Who wants to go first?

What's wrong?

I thought I saw someone.

Looks like Jiyu's running late.

She'll be here soon.

What's wrong?

I thought I saw someone.

What am I thinking?

How could mom come here?

I'll check.

It's okay. Let's go in.

Tell me.

Why did you come into our house?

Why are you...

Why are you here?

Why can't you tell me?

Why can't you tell me? Was it really...

Was it...

Really for Min Seonho?

Tell me.

What is your relationship with him?

Are you dating? Is that why you came here?

If I am...

Will you let me go?

Do you...

Really love him?

So...

Let me go.

(Secrets of Women)

You knew Mirae was in Korea, didn't you?

Where is she? Tell me!

Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you.

Byeon Mirae! Mirae!

Do you want me to play with you?

Really?

Isn't it tasty?

What are you doing?

I asked what you were doing!

The chairman has aged a lot.

He's rushing to decide on the successor.

It's almost time to get off work.

Do you know where Jiyu works?

Hey, fool. You can go home now.

Get in.
