[ Stories About the God of War ]

[ Ling Xi ]

That dream again!

Father.

Father.

Father.

Father?

Father.

Father?

Father! Father!

Father!

You drank too much again.

I didn't drink too much. [ Le Bo ]

- Father, I need to ask you something. - What?

- I had that dream again. - What dream?

I dreamed the God of War killed many people,

including Heavenly Soldiers, the Demon Tribe, and the Heaven-Devouring Beast!

Why do I always have this dream?

- But.. - But the book clearly says the God of War led a hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers

in a bloody battle with the Demon Tribe and eventually sealed away the Demon Lord!

He himself rests eternally in the Immortal Sea.

Father.

Father?

- Father! I'm asking you a question! - What question?

- The thing with my dream. - What dream? What dream? What dream, no dream!

You letting your father have a good dream right now is more important!

Oh, right.

Father.

Father.

Little pill.

Chengyan. Chengyan!

Father, why are you looking for Chengyan?

I must find Chengyan!

I'll let Chengyan handle delivering it to Liu Yun's heavenly dwelling. Go and give it to Chengyan immediately! Find Chengyan, hurry!

- High Immortal Liu Yun? - That's right.

- I'll go! - You can't go anywhere! - Why can't I go?

This pill will lose its efficacy after a period of time.

Give it to Chengyan. Hurry up!

Hurry and go! Give it to Chengyan!

You're not allowed to go anywhere!

Keeping me in the Peach Forest every day.

Why can't I go?

Chengyan. Stinky fox.

Chengyan! Chengyan.

Chengyan, Chengyan, Chengyan, Chengyan!

Not here again?

I bet he's picking a fight with someone again.

But I cannot delay the delivery of this medicine.

I can finally go out now!

I am a little phoenix!

I live in the Peach Forest beneath Kuafu Mountain.

Ever since my childhood, my father hasn't allowed me to leave the Peach Forest.

The world is so big. I really want to have a look.

By the way, where is High Immortal Liu Yun?

Go to the Heavenly Palace? [ South Gate of Heaven ]

Today is the heavenly trial of the God of Heavenly Thunder.

We cannot get the timing wrong!

No rush, the ceremony is set for eleven in the morning.

It is not even ten yet.

This is the Heavenly Palace?

Who are you? Do you have an invitation?

I am Lingxi from the Peach Forest. I'm here to deliver medicine.

Just a mere little immortal? Without an invitation you cannot enter!

I'm just here to deliver medicine. Why do I need an invitation?

My father is the Immortal Doctor, Le Bo.

Who's Le Bo? I've never heard of him.

I only know those with invitations are allowed to enter.

You people--

No one is allowed to make a ruckus outside of the South Gate of Heaven!

You have disobeyed heavenly laws, be careful that you don't get arrested!

Hurry up and get out of here!

How unlucky...so unlucky!

What happened?

Let's go and take a look.

Star Lord Siming.

Daoist Immortal Peng. [ Siming ]

Have you seen High Immortal Yunfeng?

I also just arrived here. [ Daoist Immortal Peng ]

You haven't seen High Immortal Yunfeng either? Where did he go?

There are so many immortals and deities here. Where do I go to find High Immortal Liu Yun?

It's true. It's been so long since I've seen...

Is this Purple Cloud Platform so easy to access? You need to withstand heavenly lightning nine times.

The power there is extraordinary. If there's a slight mistake, one can turn into flying ashes!

The God of Heavenly Thunder has such a high level of cultivation,

and he would never do anything he has no confidence in!

Who is the God of Heavenly Thunder?

He's the most tanned and ugliest being in this entire court!

- High Immortal Yunfeng. - High Immortal Yunfeng.

Is it that one?

You found him so quickly!

It looks like our perspectives are the same.

I heard today is the ceremony to confer him as an deity. What deity will he be conferred as?

[ Yunfeng ]

- God of War. - God of War! - Shh! Don't be so loud.

[ God of Heavenly Thunder ]

God of Heavenly Thunder!

God of War?

The Heavenly Race lacks deities to this level?

How can just anyone be the God of War?

You are a junior immortal, but you have good foresight.

I still have something, to do so I'll leave now!

High Immortal Liu Yun, if that's really you,

this is your immortal medicine. We will meet again if we are fated.

I'm taking my leave.

After her!

What an interesting junior immortal.

I wonder how she got in here.

True!

I just went to deliver medicine.

Why must you pursue me?

What is this place?

Did she run into this Immortal Sea's Ice Palace Hall?

Let's go back and report first. If she really did enter,

then that's a big crime!

[ Purple Cloud Platform ]

I've endured suffering for more than twenty thousand years.

Only today am I going to be conferred as God of War!

If Jiuchen can pass through the Nine Heavens' Thunder,

I can as well!

When my Senior Brother ascended the Purple Cloud Platform back then,

he was back in less than half a tea-drinking time. (T/N back in about 15 minutes)

Not like him, such an unbearable, sorry figure!

That's right. God of War Jiuchen is one of a kind.

Junior Immortal Lingxi carelessly intruded into this place

and disturbed your cultivation and meditation. May the senior immortal not be angry!

Senior Immortal.

Senior Immortal?

Senior Immortal.

I'm puzzled. Who would choose such a place to cultivate and meditate?

He sat still until he was transformed?

He looks quite young,

and good-looking too.

It's such a pity.

Immortal knot?

You're alive? Are you a god or ghost?

W-what's your n-name?

What are you looking at? This is mine.

Why are you looking at me like that?

Let me tell you. I'm not that easy to bully.

Don't think I'm alone and powerless. There are a hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers guarding outside!

I merely need to scream and you will be doomed!

What? Do you want to fight?

You w-wait here. I'm going to get my magical weapon now

and fight you for three hundred rounds. I'll let you willingly admit defeat.

Wait here. Don't move!

[ Polar Abyss ]

Which of the Nine Heavens' Thunder is this?

This is the Eighth Thunder.

Could this "Old Man Thunder" fail on the ninth level of thunder?

It's lively and exciting! Many people are watching this.

In that event, his acceptance of all that Nine Heavens' Thunder will go to waste!

He will lose his dignity.

Moreover, his conferment as a minor deity will also go to waste!

High Immortal Yunfeng.

Speak cautiously, guard your words.

This is the Ninth Thunder.

Why is the Heaven-Devouring Beast here? Wasn't it sealed away?

Yes, it was sealed long ago.

Wasn't the Heaven-Devouring Beast sealed in front of the South Gate of Heaven a long time ago?

When was it unsealed?

Everyone, stand aside!

I will handle it!

Let's see where the beast will escape to.

The Ancestor's Sword?

- After it! - This..!

[ Immortal Sea ]

[ Jiuchen ]

[ Dark Capital Mountain ]

Heaven-Devouring Beast?

Am I dreaming?

Stop following me.

Why are there so many people?

Did I cause trouble?

Who are you?

I can explain.

As expected, they are accomplices!

This has nothing to do with me.

Why aren't you listening to my explanations?

I won't fight anymore. Let me explain.

God of War?

Senior Brother!

- Jiuchen? - High God?

Greetings, High God!

Greetings, God of War!

He is God of War, Jiuchen?

Why is he different from the books?

Big Sister, what are you doing here?

Aren't you on duty at Heavenly Palace? [ Chengyan ]

[ Qingyao ]

Who told you not to keep watch over Lingxi!

Sister, what did I do wrong? Release me!

No, Big Sister...

Master.

Master, Master.

- Lingxi was captured by someone in the Heavenly Palace! - Who?

Lingxi! Hurry and get up!

She caused trouble again?

Lingxi trespassed into Heavenly Palace. Heavenly Tribe captured her!

She... why did she go to the Heavenly Palace?

I heard she entered Immortal Sea by mistake. Let's go and take a look now.

Alright!

[ Heavenly Palace ]

Jiuchen.

I, Jiuchen, greet the Heavenly Emperor.

Rise quickly!

It's been fifty thousand years.

I didn't imagine we could still meet again.

That year's battle at Dark Capital Mountain,

your state of mind was badly wounded and you went into a deep sleep.

I thought you wouldn't be able to get through this crisis.

Thank you for remembering me, Heavenly Emperor.

Good. It's good that you're back.

We, your subjects, pay respects to the Heavenly Emperor.

Beloved subjects, all rise.

Thank you, Heavenly Emperor.

It's my Heavenly Tribe's good fortune that the God of War can return to Heavenly Palace. [ Heavenly Emperor ]

It's also the good fortune of the common people.

Congratulations on the good fortune of Heavenly Tribe.

Congratulations to the good fortune of the common people.

God of Heavenly Thunder, you received eight bolts of Heavenly Thunder today

and went to eliminate the beast without any consideration of yourself.

But you are wounded. Should I get the physician to treat you?

Heavenly Emperor, have thought through this matter thoroughly? Heaven-Devouring Beast was very aggressive.

If my Senior Brother did not wake up today,

I fear God of Heavenly Thunder would have been killed by the Heaven-Devouring Beast.

He should be treated by a physician.

Are you implying that I can't defeat the Heaven-Devouring Beast?

God of Heavenly Thunder, I didn't say that.

Everyone sitting here saw the performance of the God of Heavenly Thunder.

I don't need to say anything more.

Yunfeng.

The God of Heavenly Thunder is your elder.

Don't be rash.

Yes.

Heavenly Emperor, I have something to report.

Please speak.

Bring that young girl here!

Kneel!

Who are you, and where are you from?

I'm Junior Immortal Lingxi, here to...

Heavenly Emperor, this was my mistake.

So as not to fail my father's instruction, I overestimated my abilities and came here to the Heavenly Palace.

Who is your father?

My father...

Heavenly Emperor, this is frankly a disgrace to my family.

It has nothing to do with my father. It was I who carelessly trespassed into Heavenly Palace.

I will take responsibility for everything.

I'm willing to be punished.

Nameless young girl, you are extremely bold!

Do you know that you created a major disaster?

I don't understand about the incident today.

You are from an unknown background and are close with that demonic beast!

You are definitely connected to the Demon Tribe.

Why are you here? Tell us the truth!

What do you mean?

One can always trump up charges against someone.

Just because you couldn't defeat that Heaven-Devouring Beast, you are throwing your temper tantrum at me!

That Heaven-Devouring Beast saved me. That was accidental too.

How dare you! You dare to quibble?

This immortal is so stubborn.

No wonder that immortal doesn't like you either!

[ Puhua ]

Be quiet!

Reporting to the Heavenly Emperor, if this young girl is not punished severely,

she won't speak the truth.

Heavenly Soldiers, drag this girl to the prison!

Wait.

I will ask you another question.

Why were you at the Immortal Sea?

Heavenly Emperor, I was being bullied by the Heavenly Soldiers and forced to flee there.

The Heavenly Soldiers reported that you went missing in the Immortal Sea.

Did you enter the Ice Palace Hall?

No.

No.

The Immortal Sea is a place where the people from the Heavenly Tribe can sleep peacefully.

It's a forbidden place of the Heavenly Tribe. You must think carefully.

Did you enter or not?

Jiuchen.

Have you seen her inside the Ice Palace Hall?

I have not.

Who are you?

Reporting to the Heavenly Emperor, today was the conferment ceremony.

At this moment, Heaven-Devouring Beast

was unsealed and created chaos in the Heavenly Palace.

High God Jiuchen also at this moment came back to life.

And that nameless demonic young girl

trespassed through the South Gate of Heaven and entered the Immortal Sea.

Being close with that demonic beast was not just a coincidence!

From what I see, it's definitely a meticulous plan set up by the Demon Tribe remnants, quite deliberate!

Please hand over this demonic girl to me, Heavenly Emperor.

I will interrogate her thoroughly to find out the truth.

Where are you from? Why aren't you speaking?

If you don't speak, you will really suffer.

What exactly is your relationship with the Heaven-Devouring Beast?

I have nothing to do with that Heaven-Devouring Beast.

Then why was it so intimate with you?

- Uh... - Let me go in!

Let me in!

Let me go in!

Father.

Senior Sister. (T/N Sister under the same Master, senior in age or position)

Heavenly Emperor.

Immortal Physician Le Bo.

Heavenly Emperor! I'm two hundred and ninety-thousand years old.

I'm old. Even if I have the intent to have another child,

I don't have the energy to have another child.

I only have one daughter. Heavenly Emperor, do you want my

Bird Tribe to be without any descendants?

She is your daughter?

Le Bo, rise and continue to speak.

Thank you, Heavenly Emperor.

God of Heavenly Thunder, you are not the God of War yet, and you have such a murderous aura!

Let me ask you, what crime did my daughter commit

that you are going to lock her up in prison and interrogate her?

She trespassed into Heavenly Palace without an invitation!

Heavenly Emperor, you should know.

Thinking about when my Bird Tribe was also an immortal tribe in Nine Heavens.

Back then, the Monster King was deluded by the Demon Lord

and started a war with the Heavenly Tribe.

My Bird Tribe led the fight, and more than half were killed or injured!

It's declined ever since then.

My disobedient descendant

she passed through the unguarded SOUTH GATE OF HEAVEN once!

Our Vermilion Bird Tribe Sect came up with that heavenly barrier!

She only came up to take one look.

Will she be taken for trial to the Purple Cloud Platform?

Your words are too harsh.

I didn't know her identity until just now.

But now that I know, I won't blame and punish her.

Thank you, Heavenly Emperor.

Why aren't you getting up to thank His Majesty?

Thank you, Heavenly Emperor.

Le Bo, don't be prematurely happy.

Your daughter and that Heaven-Devouring Beast were accomplices!

The deities witnessed it.

What else do you have to say?

So what? My daughter is delicate, beautiful, lively and generous.

Among the Six Realms of the kingdom, other than the old fogey, God of Heavenly Thunder,

who wouldn't like her?

Heaven-Devouring Beast is also considered a godly beast.

He is smart and loves beautiful women!

Seeing how beautiful my daughter is, it wanted to get close to her. What's wrong with that?

You old fogey, we haven't seen each other for fifty thousand years.

You are still unreasonable and full of nonsense!

You still don't feel bad saying this?

Let me ask you, what kind of place is the South Gate of Heaven?

The South Gate of Heaven is a strategic gate of Heavenly Palace!

How old is my daughter?

With her minuscule magic power,

even she got into the Heavenly Palace without any obstruction.

You don't blame yourself

for not being strict?

On the contrary, you blame my daughter instead. That's ridiculous!

Enough!

Good thing Jiuchen is already dead.

If Jiuchen were alive,

When Jiuchen was alive, when did this kind of situation happen?

- Father. - Don't be scared of him!

Good thing Jiuchen died young.

Or else, if he saw you all being this useless,

he would hate it enough to jump out of his coffin!

- Father. - What!

Immortal Physician Le Bo.

No time no see.

Jiu-Jiuchen?

We haven't seen each other in fifty thousand years, and you're still this talkative.

You... how are you alive?

That year, I heard that your

immortal soul was extinguished and your coffin sent to the Immortal Sea.

You distinctly died, and you are alive now?

When did you come alive? What's the reason?

- Come, let me take your pulse. What are you doing? - Master!

I will tell you later. Heavenly Emperor is here.

Heavenly Emperor, since young, my daughter has been ignorant.

But since she's young and ignorant and haven't caused a huge disaster,

please allow me to take her back to Peach Forest.

When we are back there, I will definitely teach and control her.

I will never allow her to take a single step out of the Peach Forest!

Immortal Physician Le Bo.

I was severely wounded back then,

and also slept in the Immortal Sea for fifty-thousand years.

To return to my original form, I need someone knowledgeable

and who also knows immortal medical skills.

She and I are considered to have fate. I wonder if you could

let her stay with me for a short period of time.

No, no, no.

My daughter is beautiful, but she's useless and incapable.

She doesn't know anything about medical skills.

If you want her to stay with you, I fear she will hold you back.

It's not a problem.

She speaks without thinking, is disrespectful and has a bad temper.

If she loses her temper, no one would dare to teach her a lesson.

Look at how I have aged. It's because she infuriated me.

Go away.

No problem.

She has a strange illness and it's one of those incurable illnesses.

Once she has a relapse, she will bite others. Aren't you afraid?

Father!

You keep pushing her away. I wonder if you have something to hide.

Something to hide?

Would I have anything to hide? Hiding what? Nothing to hide!

Why won't you give your permission then?

Healers have the heart of a parent. I just want your daughter to stay by my side, and wait on me for a while.

Why won't you allow this?

Heavenly Emperor, although my Bird Tribe has declined,

my daughter can't just be anyone's fairy attendant

and obediently leave with him.

Lingxi, I'm afraid you'll have to be the one to make a decision for this matter.

Me?

Are you willing to be God of War Jiuchen's fairy attendant

and take care of his health?

I'm willing.
