The thing that really hurts is,

the politicians and the press
picked Hoff over me.

They turned him into a monster
and made him a saint.

They just don't think
the way we do, you know?

They're always worried
about the way things look,

what people might say.

For us,

for real cops, it's simple.

I mean, you did the only thing
you could do

in that moment to make things better.

Safer.
