We have them now, forward!

Come on girls, come on get up.

Jatrias, Traigon has found us, hurry!

The House of Krona is not far,

if you run now we could perhaps hold them long enough.

Come lady hurry up, this way!

Careful, don't harm the child!

Save me!

Traigon, butcher, the gods will avenge this.

Oh my beloved, even the gods will do as I command,

now bring me the babe, the father would look upon the firstborn, hmpf.

Ah beautiful, Kalghara will be pleased.

No Traigon, don't kill my baby!

I have promised my firstborn to Kalghara,

you know the sacrifice is necessary for the greater good of...

By Anora, there are two!

Then, which is the firstborn?

Yes, which?

You have to know don't you, because if you're wrong...

Don't play with me woman, I have no time for that!

Which is it, which!

Hordra, the talons!

Tell me quickly my love, or you'll never produce another such.

Ishbara will avenge!

Krona, Krona!

One word, and it is ended.

Beast, criminal!

Ah, Krona, Krona!

Krona, this is no affair of yours.

Fools, he's not even armed, kill him!

Very good my old friend, your age has not yet unsteadied your hand.

I did not train your men in my arts,

so that they would hunt down and butcher women.

You never could understand the greater values!

Tell me Traigon, which of your three lives am I taking now

only your first or is it the last, finally?

You're overconfident my old friend.

- Illusion it's only illusion. - You seem unsure.

You're weakening.

No!

Only my first Krona,

when the moon is in the House of the Dragon once more, I come again.

And then, you won't be here to thwart my...

Will...

Take my babies, Traigon will come again.

And again he will seek his firstborn.

I will and they will become great warriors and they will take vengeance.

They are girl children...

Oh...

Girl children?

Ah the sport you gods have with us mortals.

But nevermind.

Warriors shall you be, as I have said.

From this moment, these two shall be as one, and share Krona's powers.

I bestow on you the secrets of sorcery and the fighting skills of the masters.

Sri Krona?

What brings you here on such a night.

I ask for a great boon, Dargon.

Anything master, we owe you our lives.

When the Kshatriyas came that night.

Just care for these girl children, as if they were your own.

Of course, you see, I'm so full, I can nurse three as well as one.

Good, but Dargon, someday men will come

and they will be looking for the two who are one, of barbarian blood.

But they will looking for girl children, so no one must know they're girls.

I will conceal them for you Krona.

It shall be as you desire.

Kshatriyas, my loyal servants.

For 20 years we have awaited this moment.

The moon is in the House of the Dragon

and the master will be among us once again.

Begin.

Master, your loyal servants,

greet you.

Master,

your warriors await your command!

Know that each of you who serves me well, shall one day rule a nation,

and command an army such as the world has never seen,

all this will be so!

When I summon Kalghara.

And now, my first command,

the most important, find the two who are one.

What sort of creature is that?

I don't know, he seems friendly though.

Hi there, wanna come in for a swim?

What's that, which he carries there, hanging between his legs.

I don't know, some kind of horn?

A weapon then, but how would he use such a weapon?

I don't know and I'm not going to wait to find out!

Are you sure he meant us harm?

Well Papa says never to trust strangers.

He may be going to fetch more of his kind and come back again.

Yes, we'd better hurry.

- Soldiers! - Kshatriyas!

Get in here, come here!

A sword, captain!

Rebel!

- You have an illegal weapon! - I'm no rebel!

Only a simple goat herder, a man has a right

- to defend his home. - Defend from whom?

- From us, from the law? - You're not the law!

You're bandits, criminals!

Punishment of rebels,

is death!

Wait, there is something that I seek, you,

to save your miserable life rebel.

We seek the two who are one.

You speak nonsense Kshatriya.

No, they are here, the two maidens,

you've been hiding them, give them up, now!

I know nothing of maidens, save my only daughter,

whom you must know, since your own men are even now violating her!

My baby!

Father!

Enough!

We must find the two who are one!

Take them in, and a slow death to any man who harms them.

Kill them!

Ho there lad, I salute you.

That was a bit of fighting worthy of the gods.

I am Baldar of Hamartin.

And never in all my 56 battles have I seen such skill.

You must have learned from a master.

No help for them now, lads.

Nor for the other, your family where they?

They were our father and mother and sister.

I'm sorry lads but that Kshatriya dog was looking

for two are one, I think he found them, did he not?

Yes, we are as one.

Will you bury them or give them to the fire?

The fire, it is our way.

Mira, Mara!

- Where did you come from? - Who are you?

It was I who gave you your fighting skills.

- You gave us? - Yes.

In this way, give me each your hand.

Thus my powers passed to you.

By Yggdrasil!

This is sorcery!

- Then you must be? - Krona!

Our father spoke of you!

He said you would return one day.

Yes but I was too late.

So all the more for you to avenge now.

But I don't understand Sri Krona.

The one who brought this about, Traigon the Sorcerer,

also took the life of your real mother, it was too avenge this and more

that I gave you my powers.

We will do it master, we will find this Traigon...

And kill him!

- You will face great danger. - We are not afraid.

- The powers of illusion. - Illusion?

Ordinary weapons, no good.

You need the name, the secret name of the almighty.

Are you all right master?

When all seems lost, use the name.

The name?

Vital, remember, Vital.

Vital...

Wait!

I go now, to my own destiny, to join my friends

whose lives were lost because of their promise to me.

Now lads, lay aside your grief and avenge these wrongs,

you must find and kill Traigon.

I have a quest of my own so let's join forces and help each other.

- Let's go together then! - Done, by Ragnarok!

He's a crook, he stole from the vicars, they're going to cut his hands off.

A thief, he stole sweets from a vicar's child.

They say it is Traigon's light.

Traigon?

- Well what will he do now? - He will become a beggar.

And probably fare better.

Baldar, how can you hope to find your friend here among so many people?

I know his greaves, in every city

there is a kind of street where he is sure to be found.

Again, I see the barbarian wins another!

We'll take that bet!

Serpents, two serpents!

Ha ha ha!

Impossible, it couldn't happen again.

He's won three in a row!

Yeah, yeah the barbarian must use this throw.

Well barbarian, will you call the serpents again?

I will, serpents!

That was impossible, for the Goddess of Fortune to smile so long at a barbarian!

Sorcery, black magic.

Black magic?

Black magic...

You beautiful man, I like, I bring you good fortune.

You win much more.

I've got enough already, thanks.

Why do you throw yourself at this barbarian dog,

dog I said, and son of a she-dog!

Don't dogs have ears barbarian, don't they speak!

We have ears, and we speak, arf, arf!

So he mocks you Hator!

Arf!

I've got to go now, I've enjoyed it!

No leave those, those are for me, not dogs!

I'm sorry, did you fall?

Come on, let's go!

Prince Erlick, I knew it!

- What? - Excuse me!

Enjoy yourselves.

Baldar, you here?

And thank Wodan for it, you foolish pup!

Soldiers, they're Kshatriyas!

Erlick, my friends, the soldiers mustn't find them!

- Friends? - Yeah!

- Right, this way. - Lads, hurry.

Quickly, quickly!

Pando come on!

You, what happened here?

Barbarians, four of them, and they were two who were as one.

Two, who are as one?

By the gods, I can't tell you apart!

- I'm Mara. - And I'm Mira.

And I'm called Erlick, you may wash here.

And rest if you like.

How did you find me, Baldar?

- I followed my nose, boy. - No matter.

I'm not going back to my father's kingdom.

I don't like war and fighting, I want to wander, live by my wits.

Know the taste of strange wines and lips of exotic ladies.

The perfect disguise!

- But you're girls? - Girls, what do you mean?

I mean, you're not boys.

We're not?

Not boys are you sure?

See Mira, didn't I tell you there was something wrong?

Well that's what Papa told us, what's the difference really?

You, you don't know?

Know, know what?

About the difference?

You don't notice something different, like that?

Like this, well yes, I guess we never thought much about it.

Oh, go ahead, wash up.

This will have to wait till later, lads.

Well mate, you have some great surprises in store for you.

They're under my protection lad.

They seemed well enough able to protect themselves a while ago.

These two have taken a vow of vengeance.

Vengeance?

Against whom?

- A man called Traigon. - Traigon?

You know of him, where is he?

Forget it, Traigon is a sorcerer,

they say he has magical powers, you're good but not that good.

- I am sworn to help them. - Oh no, not me.

I want a peaceful life.

Mara, Mira, you'll be safe here until we return.

Bolt the door, don't open for anyone while we're gone.

Mara, what do you suppose he meant by surprises in store?

I don't know but there's something about that Erlick.

He gives me such a funny feeling, the way he looks at me.

Open, I'm a friend, Erlick sent me!

Who are you?

You must come, Erlick has been taken, by Traigon.

Traigon!

We'll come.

Take us to this Traigon.

Follow me, quickly.

So, be they maids, or devil-cats.

We have them now.

A gold katar for each of you men,

and Traigon's wrath on him who lets them escape!

You pawned your sword, the son of King Branwen, to play dice?

But I won Baldar, I won.

Here, polish this for me will you?

About time I'd say.

Hugo, polish this.

Here look at this, I picked it up in Babylonia.

Why this is iron, it's too soft to hold an edge.

It's a new method, they put it in coals,

hammer it out over and over, then plunge it white hot

into cold water, I will show you, give me that.

With metal like this, one man is worth 10 of his enemies.

Until his enemies have them too.

Oh you always have some objection to every new idea.

Look, here.

What's the stupid beast trying to say?

The maids, they're in trouble!

I'm sworn to help them, are you with me boy?

You there, that's enough, give me my sword!

We are ready for the test, Princess Delissia.

So, these are the two of one?

They possess the magic of some unknown god.

Pour this into the fire for the test.

Now, one last time.

Which of you is the firstborn?

We've told you dog, we don't know.

So, the God Achmea, shall reveal.

Fire knows the firstborn, Achmea has revealed the truth.

Bring the slave collar.

Baldar, move!

You'll be paying for this!

To arms, to arms!

- Whoa! - Come, away!

Who knew?

The tall barbarian, find out who he is,

and whence he comes.

Baldar wait, that's the Forbidden Forest,

no one ever comes out of there alive.

Good maybe the Kshatriyas will be afraid to follow us.

Yes, but let's not count on it.

The Forbidden Forest of all places.

The planets will not be in conjunction again for months.

They'll never even survive that long, we must find them now!

Suppose I can bring you the one you seek, what would be my reward?

I have already promised you the world as your empire.

What more could you want?

Empires were promised some time ago.

But a woman has...

Other desires too.

I cannot, it would break my vows.

So you always say, yet you intend to break your vows

with this other one, and that a crime against the gods too.

It's not a crime, it's a sacrifice for a far greater good.

Hunnu, would you like to have a reward?

I thought so, and if you succeed, you shall have

the second of the two who are one, for your own pleasure.

Do you want to explain?

Hmm, no, no, you tell them, you're much wiser than I.

What are you talking about?

Well, Mara, Mira.

Do you know where babies come from?

We were given to our parents by Krona, the Master of Martial Arts.

You know where the baby goats come from, don't you?

Of course, but they're animals.

- What's that? - I don't know.

What's that sweet swell?

It's coming from those fruits, it makes me feel funny!

Here are the two barbarians master.

At last, oh Mara...

How lovely you look, even in those goatherd's clothes.

- Who are you? - I am Traigon.

You, Traigon, you murdered my mother!

Is that what these barbarian dogs have told you!

- You deny it? - Listen my child.

- I am your father. - My father?

Then why?

When I explain everything to you,

you will understand, but for now, know that you are home,

where you belong after all these years,

and you will be treated as the royal princess that you are.

Take her to her chambers.

Wait, if this be true as you say, then I have one request.

This man must be treated with honor and respect, for he is my friend.

If he has helped you my child,

he will be treated as he deserves.

Ishbara will be with you, Erlick.

I know he will.

Traigon, about the tall barbarian...

- What? - Yes.

Barbarian master, we found these on his person.

- What is that, dice? - Yes master.

They are weighted, look.

I see, well done Khrakannon.

Barbarian, know that the penalty for cheating in the games

is death by impalement.

Death is only death, swine!

Enough, take him away!

You're too quick to anger, Khrakannon.

I want to sharpen the stake myself.

Hey wait a second, let's talk about this!

Hey Traigon!

I don't enjoy this young man, but it's necessary to set an example.

Hey now Traigon, I'm sorry if I said anything untoward

a while ago, look, man to man now.

Let me die on my feet, like a warrior!

Why dog, death is only death you said.

I'm sorry, I take it back!

You made your point, you don't have to stick it to me.

- Stop, hold! - What have you there?

This medallion from the House of Armag.

Armag, let me see that.

Barbarian, where did you get this?

Why, it was given to me by my mother.

As a child.

He's of the ancient blood of Armag.

If it is true, it would the sacrifice perfect.

Yes, and the maiden's body then could carry the seed

of one of the noble ancient blood.

Yes Armog, that's me, my father's house.

Right, now how about getting me down before these fellows slip?

Hmm, yes.

Have him released Khrakannon.

Keep the stake in place till after the sacrifice.

- We'll never get across that. - We won't have to.

We have to go this way, I see a village.

A kind of castle, or temple.

You see, what do you mean see?

It's always been this way between Mara and me, we see what the other is seeing,

and we feel what the other is feeling.

- And now you see what? - A temple.

On a hill, it's this way.

Soma, nectar of the gods.

You see the moonbeam here, tomorrow night it will traverse this mark, here.

That shall be moment.

A new age will begin on Earth, and you will be its first avatar, a goddess,

to be honored for ages to come.

Oh father, all this talk, other worlds, great powers, my mind is spinning.

You will understand everything later.

But for now, trust me my child.

Trust me.

Trust me.

All will be well.

I, I do.

You know what is best for me, for everyone.

Yes for all of my children.

Now, go to your chambers.

Your friend will come to you soon.

He is well, as you asked.

Erlick, thank you father.

You see Kalghara, as I promised you long ago,

you shall have Traigon's firstborn!

- Do you like the soma? - It's great, what is it?

Soma is the nectar of the gods.

A secret handed down from times long past.

From the golden age.

Oh yes the golden age, that Traigon says he wants to bring back.

With himself in power of course.

I'm bored with Traigon and his magic,

I don't want to rule the world, not with him.

I understand, go on.

I want a man, a real man beside me,

who can rest the great power from Traigon

- and dispose of him! - Hmm?

But first the sacrifice must take place as planned.

You'll make love to Mara, then you must sacrifice her!

She waits for you, even now.

Go to her Erlick, then later,

the world will be ours.

We are destined to rule together, Erlick.

As I told you Traigon, he I like wet clay in my hands.

The typical simple mind of the barbarian.

Don't be so modest, you are very persuasive,

I might have believed you myself.

The important thing is that he will do as we wish.

Yes, that is so.

Erlick.

I thought the soldiers might have treated you unkindly.

Well for a while there, it was a rather sharp dispute.

But now?

For some reason, is this really you?

You've suddenly become a woman.

Why do you look at me like that?

You really don't know?

Has it to do with this feeling I get in my loins

when I touch you, oh I feel there's some secret to this,

some wonderful secret, and you have the key to it.

Child what is it, a snake, what do you see?

I don't know, I...

I feel kinda strange, ah...

Where is the pain child?

It doesn't hurt it, it, it...

I feel so hot!

Oh it's, it's Mara!

Mara?

Is she being tortured?

Ah, no, I...

No.

She's not being tortured.

By the horns of!

Nevermind, she's obviously in good hands, but whose?

It must be Erlick.

Yes, that would be Erlick, that amorous puff.

Oh no, not again!

Now I know it's Erlick!

Hold there!

Stay away from her, she's under my protection.

Let me know if you find a cold river.

- Frindeban! - Heh, what's that?

Frindeban.

I've heard tales of that land since I can remember.

It was once the center of the world so they say.

Hmm, long long ago.

Judging from the looks of the place now.

She's there, Mara.

There's a lot of soldiers up there.

We have to go in under cover of night.

Ishbara will show us the way.

And now what do you see, Mara?

I see a valley.

A village.

And a temple.

She's coming here.

They are coming here?

Your barbarian friend is a fool after all.

Not foolish, fearless.

And he doesn't understand, doesn't know about the sacrifice.

He will try to interfere.

Unless you speak with him.

Then, he can be useful to us.

And, she also.

Hunnu my faithful, you shall have your reward after all!

So a trap, is it?

All the more of these dogs to chase my blade!

Come on, who will be the first to die!

I am ready for you, well?

By the fangs of Grogner, they are bewitched!

Mara look at me!

Surrender barbarian, we have use for you!

Never!

So Traigon, are these the cowards

who will help you to rule the world?

Let them face me, man to man!

No barbarian, I shall have an army of warriors of a far different quality.

You'll be meeting them soon!

So, how easily are the foolish disposed of?

Now, prepare for the sacrifice.

The planets are approaching their conjunction.

He was promised the other maiden master, he is angry!

Filthy beast, I have no time for your disgusting desires now!

We have not yet lost, my brave one!

We still live.

What sort of place is this Baldar?

Catacombs, the very old place of ancient warriors.

Ah this cursed arrow, Mira can you do it?

The head is barbed.

We'll find a way out of here somehow.

Yes, somehow.

Bring the sacrificial virgins!

Ah the smell of death!

Better wait here, while I see what lies ahead.

Kalghara you shall have as I promised my firstborn!

Consecrated with the seed of the one of the ancient blood!

Give me the great power!

- What are they? - Sorcery, illusion!

They can't be real!

They're real enough, Baldar!

Now my love, quickly!

When all seems lost, use the name, Vital!

Vital...

Vital!

Vital!

Vital!

Vital!

What are you doing?

Strike now!

- Fool you'll ruin everything! - Stop them!

I'll give you another, almighty one!

A princess!

Now Kalghara!

Arise my warriors, arise!

- Erlick! - Mara!

Mira!

Arise, arise!

Let me go!

Been buried a thousand years, you know.

Look out!

I know!

- A horse Khrakannon, quickly! - Yes master!

Hey Khrakannon you know what your mother said when she got you?

Khrakannon don't be so...

Quick to anger!

Now let's see what you're made of, sorcerer!

With a snake?

The power of illusion.

My children...

Well my lad, isn't one enough for you?

You forget Baldar,

these two

are one!
