General.

We've searched everywhere.

The rest of the pirates have escaped.

Search carefully again.

Yes, sir.

General.

I got an insider tip.

They're heading to Xianhuang Island.

We can still make it if we leave now.

Then Xianhuang Island it is.

Yes, sir.

General.

Heads of the Dragon Sect, the Bamboo Sect,

and the Shark Sect are all

hiding on Eagle Fall Island.

Look.

Three pirate chiefs.

Yes.

These pirate chiefs are fierce and sly.

They rarely meet.

To arrest them all,

this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

We must head to Eagle Fall Island now.

We should go to Xianhuang Island for the Four Seas Sect.

How can wiping out a single sect

compare with wiping out three groups of pirates?

General.

In the Emperor's eyes,

the credits of these two are totally different.

Where did you get this letter?

I think it's left by the pirates.

How could such a confidential letter

happen to be left behind?

It must be a trick to lure us away.

The Four Seas Sect wants to divert our attention

and seize the chance to run away.

Judging by the ink,

this letter wasn't forged by them on the spot

this letter wasn't forged by them on the spot

when we were taking over the island.

They must have been tipped off in advance.

As long as this letter is real,

Eagle Fall Island is worth going to.

How wise!

It doesn't matter if it's a trick

as long as the prey is real.

Giving up the Four Seas Sect

for three pirate chiefs.

It's worth it.

Send my order. Set off for Eagle Fall Island.

Yes, sir.

No.

Rou is still in the hands of the Four Seas Sect.

We have to go to Xianhuang Island.

Young Master Sheng.

You discovered the base of the Four Seas Sect

and saw through the trick the pirates set on the beach.

You helped us a lot indeed.

But we are the navy of the Tang dynasty.

We only have the country's interests at heart.

We can't put our lives at risk for the woman you love.

General.

General.

Give me a boat.

If you don't go,

I'll go by myself.

Let go of me.

Why are you so rude to her?

Come on!

Our base is already ruined by the troops.

Now we're on this deserted Xianhuang Island.

Do I have the mood to be gentle?

Keeping her

is just a waste of food and water.

I'd rather kill her.

I'll kill you first.

Boss.

Don't touch me.

Are you hurt?

The living condition here is indeed bad.

Make do with it for a few days.

When the situation gets better,

I'll provide you with a luxurious life.

You.

Take good care of her.

If she gets hurt again,

I'll have the eagles feed on you.

Got it.

You.

The Tang Navy is heading to Eagle Fall Island.

Boss, you are brilliant!

You knew they couldn't give up the big fish.

After the Dragon Sect goes down,

let's see who else on the sea

dares to be disrespectful to you.

It's strange how the navy came this time.

Go find out about the wise man

who saw through my trick.

Yes, sir.

This is from the boss.

Alcohol?

Chumu.

You...

Why are you here?

Didn't you leave a secret signal on your handkerchief

for me to come to Xianhuang Island?

I was worried that I might be killed.

I wanted to leave a note

but didn't know what to write.

I happened to hear those pirates saying...

I'm the only one who knows your secret signals.

That is to say,

when you were leaving the note,

you were thinking about me.

Read the room.

Why are you still so frivolous?

Let's leave here first.

Wait until we get out of here.

Next time when you want me to carry you,

just tell me.

You are so thick-skinned.

Our boat

is just behind that reef.

How many people came here?

Just me.

Didn't they say that

the Tang Navy was attacking them?

My family never uses

public resources for private gains.

How can I use the Tang Navy

to rescue the woman I love?

I am a man.

I can handle them alone.

Worst comes to worst, I'll die for you.

Do you think I am stupid?

Regarding this matter,

it's stupid when a vile man does it.

But when a noble man does it,

it means justice.

It means courage.

You're so serious.

At moments like this,

shouldn't you

be like other girls

and be grateful to me?

Other girls?

Oh no, we're exposed.

Let's go.

Chumu.

What should we do?

Boss.

It was he who hit me.

Get them.

Guys, get him.

Watch out, Chumu.

Boss.

This man is tough.

Chumu.

You're ganging up on him. What kind of heroes are you?

Come on.

Back off.

Let me do it.

Chumu, watch out!

Chumu!

Stop that!

How dare you hit her!

No! No!

You can't do that.

Who is he to you?

I am begging you.

I beg you to let him go.

As long as you can let him go,

I will never run away again.

I'll serve you all my life.

No, you can't.

Let her go.

Do whatever you want with me.

No.

No.

Rou.

Rou.

Listen to me.

Listen to me.

As long as you are safe,

it doesn't matter what happens to me.

I have let many people down in my life.

I can't let you down.

Chumu.

I know.

I know this time you're telling the truth.

Fine.

I'll die with you.

Do it now.

You'd rather die with him

than live a luxurious life with me.

You earn that kind of life

by stealing and robbing.

I'd rather not have it.

All I want...

All I want is an upright man.

Go away.

Chumu.

Let's go.

Let's go.

General Lu Qi also plans to take a concubine soon.

Portraits of beautiful girls

have all been sent to Lu's residence.

For the rest of these,

no one is good enough to be my son's concubine.

Didn't Fu's family say that

if Young Master Chen dares to take a concubine,

they'll sue him for violating the Tang Code

and sentence him to one year in prison?

That bitch

is in the hands of the pirates.

Her reputation is ruined.

What right does she have to control my son?

It'd be fine if she gets killed by the pirates.

If she comes back with a tainted reputation,

I won't make her life easy.

Ma'am.

That woman returned safely.

How...

How is it possible?

It seems that the navy rescued her

when they were wiping out pirates.

This is

so ridiculous.

I can't believe she is out of danger.

Does it mean my son

will be manipulated by that bitch

for his entire life?

What a bitch!

These are all too ordinary.

Young Master.

This just arrived.

What a beauty!

She's the one.

Young Master.

This girl has got a wedding letter.

Why did you show me a girl who's got a wedding letter?

Tough girl.

She also knows the Tang Code.

I want to see

how beautiful

and tough you are!

Mother.

Rou is back.

Why don't you go see her?

Everyone did.

What's there to see?

She saved you.

I also saved her.

All of my savings

were spent on her.

How could you be like this?

So ungrateful.

Everyone is showing concern for her.

There's no need for me to go please her.

I won't go boost her ego.

Rou.

I like you.

I know.

Do you like me?

I don't know.

What...

What do you like about me?

I like that you are always so serious.

Do you know that when I just met you,

I wasn't used to it.

But only when I got back to Chang'an did I realize that

other people are so boring.

I missed you every day.

I dreamt about you every night.

My heart ached even when I was reading, practicing archery,

and drinking.

I thought about how you had scolded me every day.

Why do I sound like a monster?

I...

You did hit me and scold me.

It's because you lied to me.

I swear I'll never lie to you again.

You also need to swear

that you can't be so reckless

and go to the pirates' den on your own.

For you, the pirates' den is nothing.

I'd go straight away

even if there's extreme danger.

Don't.

You got hurt because of me.

Once is enough.

If it happens again,

I won't be able to take it.

I promise you.

When I'm healed,

I'll learn to be stronger

so that I won't get hurt ever again

and you don't need to worry about me.

Have some good rest.

Where are you going?

Do embroidery.

My hand... I'm like this.

I am injured.

Didn't you say that

one sachet is not enough

and you want another one?

She is so moved by me.

Even I am moved by my efforts.

The Chen family has sold the wedding letter to me.

I am here to pick you up today.

I've never heard that wedding letters can be traded.

If I say it can, then it can.

General, you enjoy great power and position,

but you should also respect the Tang Code.

You know the Tang Code pretty well.

I know that

I am not a commodity for anyone to trade.

I also know that even when influential officials

break the Tang Code,

they still need to be punished.

You are lecturing me.

Guard.

Escort lady Fu back home.

I have so many things to ask her about the Tang Code.

You...

Yes, sir.

Let go of me.

Stop it.

Let go of me.

Chumu.

No one touches her.

Sheng Chumu.

My father asked the staff to let you have your way.

It's because your brother-in-law

is King Han.

Don't go too far.

If you dare to touch her,

I'll beat you to death.

Looks like I haven't beat you enough in Chang'an.

Try if you dare.

Have a match?

Sure.

Good.

If you win,

I won't bother her anymore.

And I'll give you this wedding letter for free.

Come on.

No.

If General Lu takes advantage of

a wounded opponent,

it'll hurt your reputation.

Makes sense.

But rest assured.

I never challenge an underdog.

We'll see who is stronger next time

during the imperial martial arts competition.

Good. It's a deal.

Chumu.

Beauty,

I'll come find you

when I defeat him.

You...

Ignore him.

What?

Imperial martial arts competition?

I was going to beat him on the spot at first.

But then I thought,

if I could defeat him in front of the Emperor,

I could humiliate Duke of Lu even more.

That's my boy.

You are finally thinking ahead.

Sheng Chumu is useless.

But it's not wrong to be careful.

You need to practice hard these days.

Don't act like a cocky rooster

and let him take advantage.

Got it.

Have you heard anything about the things we sent back home?

It takes two months to ship those things

from Guangzhou to Xunyi.

Once I hear anything,

I'll let you know at once.

You have to be extra careful.

Yes, Father.

Are you really entering that competition?

Can you defeat him?

I can't let him win

even if I risk my life.

But,

I don't want you to take risks for me.

Are you willing to take risks for me?

Yes.

Close your eyes.

Why?

You are willing to take risks for me

but afraid to close your eyes?

I knew I couldn't trust you.

I'm leaving. Can't you give me some sugar?

Where are you going?

Hell.

[The Invincible Villa]

You still want to learn?

I must learn.

Can you endure the hardship?

Yes!

Will you regret it?

Never.

For women?

For the only woman

that I love.

Good.

[The Invincible Villa]

Is someone there?

There's someone there!

Hurry, notify the captain.

Duke of Lu,

don't make things difficult for me.

Even if I put in a good word for you with the Emperor,

it won't work.

Grand Chancellor Fang,

I know my son is good for nothing,

that's why I, as a father,

am so worried.

Look,

he can't be a civil servant

and he can't fight in battles.

If he can't even marry a good girl,

how is he going to keep a foothold in Chang'an?

We have known each other for decades.

Please help me out.

Help me out.

Don't just drink my vintage wine

and say nothing but sigh.

We received a report this morning.

The navy in Lingnan

took action not long ago.

They've arrested

over a hundred pirates

and killed three pirate chiefs.

Sheng Chumu

was with the navy from the start.

Fantastic!

That's my son.

But,

he left halfway.

He left?

Yeah.

I heard that he went after

a woman named Rou.

It...

It's all because his mother spoils him.

I heard that the Young Master

also fought

another group of pirates for this woman.

He was also injured.

What?

Which minx

caused my son's injury?

Who is she?

You've been training like crazy these days.

I really worry that

before competing with Lu Qi,

you'd train yourself to death.

Stop looking.

My men are already scared of you.

They are hiding from you.

Uncle.

Stop talking.

I have taught you everything I can.

Leave now. Don't come back ever again.

You've spent so much effort teaching me,

how can you let me go like this?

Today,

the sun comes out even when it's raining heavily.

You‘re caring about me all of a sudden?

Since I have mastered everything,

shouldn't you give me something as my teacher?

Any weapons, magic tricks,

or books on the art of war?

I knew that you'd want something from me

before you go.

I was exactly like you when I was young.

Here, take a look at

what treasure I have.

Here.

This is...

A chess manual.

Can I have a book on the art of war?

Do you really not know it?

The Clever Chess Manual.

It's way better than books on the art of war.

So many people are fighting for this.

If you don't want it,

give it back to me.

I want it.

I'm leaving.

Be careful.

My mother made it. Try it.

Only she can make it

so delicious.

She made

some more especially for you.

She thinks that I won't notice.

Right, sis,

has our business picked up recently?

Yeah, quite a bit!

The Xu family is very happy with

those 500 bolts of cloth.

They even placed another order.

Our family has finally

overcome this hurdle.

Don't be afraid of hurdles.

You've got Chumu.

If you are short of money,

just ask him for it.

Yin.

If you want people

to respect you,

you have to have principles.

Remember,

integrity is key to a friendship.

It's just like our dye house.

If the color is not right,

the cloth produced won't be decent-looking.

Sis,

I want to borrow some money from you.

Did your mother

take your allowance?

No, she didn't.

It's just that

I want to

have some more.

Have some more?

This bowl of soup is not cheap.

Is it

for his birthday present?

How do you know that

Young Master Du's birthday is coming?

I didn't.

But I just asked casually

and I know it now.

Sis.

I can give you the money.

Thank you.

However,

does your mother know

about you and Young Master Du?

How dare I tell her about it?

She always tells me that

her son-in-law must be a government official

so that our lives can be better.

If I tell her that

I fall for a poor scholar,

she'd have a huge fight with me.

Why is my life so hard?

My mother is such a snob.

My lady,

Young Master Sheng is back.

Finally.

That one is Altair.

That one is Vega.

They only meet

once a year.

They are so far apart.

Then I will

embroider a bridge for them

so that they can be together every day.

You are so kind.

I wonder what they'd do

when they meet?

They will...

They will...

They'll sew your blabbering mouth shut.

How can I kiss you if my mouth is sewed shut?

Who said you can kiss me?

Who said you can kiss me?

Tickles?

Who said you can kiss me?

Be careful.

Rou.

Marry me.

Will you?

It depends on my parents

and the matchmaker's words.

Rest assured.

I will follow the rules.

But...

But I worry that your parents won't allow it.

Trust me.

Not only will they allow it,

but they'll also like you very much.

How dare a merchant's daughter

dream of marrying into the Duke's family?

My son was injured because of her.

I haven't even

held her accountable for that.

My lady,

a message came from Guangzhou.

This girl was engaged to someone when little,

but her fiance's whole family died.

She is bad luck!

Then, the Chen family wanted to marry her.

On the wedding day,

she wasn't happy with her mother-in-law's attitude,

so she turned around and left.

What a rude woman!

The Chens didn't know what to do with her,

so they sold the wedding letter to the Lu family.

General Lu Qi wanted to take her as a concubine,

but Young Master disagreed.

So he had a falling out with General Lu Qi.

And they are competing in court.

She is trouble!

This seductive woman

can never step into our residence.

What?

That ship was hijacked?

The things on that ship

cost father years of effort to...

You're useless!

I'm useless.

I've let you down.

Who dares to do such a thing?

That man named Fang from the Four Seas Sect.

He also said that

he came for you.

How rampant!

Father,

you cannot spare him.

If he dares to go against me,

of course I won't let him get away.

However,

does anyone else know about the things on the ship

other than those pirates?

At the dock,

Some people might've seen the things in the box.

How could you be this stupid?

Who are they?

People of a merchant named Fu.

Their ship was also at the dock that day.

Fu?

The family running a dye house and an embroidery shop?

Yes.

According to the crew,

their ship was used to purchase dyes.

If what's on our ship

is known by others,

it is definitely not a good thing.

Since they saw what they shouldn't have seen,

silence them forever.

Father.

Sheng Chumu is also connected with this family.

Should we also...?

Stupid!

It is not a big deal to kill a few commoners.

But if we kill Sheng Chumu,

will Duke of Lu let it go?

We cannot

let the royal court know about it.

Ziyun.

Ziyun.

Ziyun.

Go to bed now.

My lady, you should go to bed as well.

Young Master Chumu hasn't come back yet.

Who is this white fungus soup with lotus seeds for?

It doesn't matter if he comes back late.

This is a perfect midnight snack.

Look at you.

You are yawning.

Go to sleep.

Yes, my lady.

Why do you ask for me?

You brought so many people here.

Scared that I may beat you?

You are notorious for playing dirty.

I might walk into your trap if I don't bring some company.

Tell me.

Drink.

Drink?

For men,

first, we compare fighting skills, then the drinking capacity.

As for fighting skills,

you will absolutely lose.

As for drinking,

I suppose you still can't win.

I will drink you to death.

Fire!

Fire!

Come to put out the fire!

Put out the fire!

Bring some water!

Here.

On my way.

Hurry!

Hurry!

Rou!

Coming!

Hurry!

Rou is still inside.

Rou!

Don't be silly. Let's go!

Hurry, Rou!

Rou!

-Rou is still inside. -Let's go!

I'm coming!

Why isn't my mother out? Where is my mother?

Hurry!

Hurry!

Is my mother still in there?

Your mother is very smart.

She must've come out long before.

-No. -Hurry!

I have to go find her.

Hurry!

Pour the water!

Hurry!

This way!

Bring us water!

Coming!

Hurry!

Coming!

-Coming! Coming!

-Hurry! -Hurry!

Oh my god!

Someone, help!

How could this be?

Someone, help!

Is anyone here?

Help!

Help!

Mother, Mother!

Help!

Help!

-Ma'am. -Is this Rou?

Ma'am!

Wait here! Don't panic!

Stay away from the door.

Are you okay?

Ma'am.

Stop calling me ma'am!

Gosh, I wanna call you ma'am.

The fire is so big. Let's go.

Let's go!

Are you okay?

Hurry! Let's go!

Hurry!

Gosh, what should we do?

Ma'am, this way.

Go!

I heard something.

You and that Lianyan from Yanhui Brothel

are very close.

I heard that

her delicate feet...

Just focus on drinking.

Don't talk about other things.

That's where the Fu residence is.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Listen to me. I saved your life.

You have to double my allowance.

Ma'am.

We can talk after we get out. Go!

Okay.

Ma'am.

You'll be fine.

Don't move!

You can't move this!

No!

We have to go together.

Someone, help!

-Help! -Listen to me.

Listen to me.

The family fortune belongs to Fu Tao.

You can't take it away from him.

Ma'am.

Also,

this is for Fu Yin.

Give it to her.

I'm telling you.

If you don't give it to her,

I will haunt you as a ghost.

Don't worry, ma'am.

You can get out.

Ma'am.

Hold on.

Hold on.

You should go.

Ma'am.

You should go.

Go.

Hurry!

Go!

Ma'am.

Ma'am.

Go!

You must find a good husband for Fu Yin!

Someone, help!

Someone, help!

Come and help!

Ma'am.

Rou!

Rou, it's me.

Chumu.

Chumu.

Fu Yin's mother...

She...

She died because she wanted to save me.

She died.

She died.

Chumu.

Do you know that?

It's because she wanted to save me.

Rou.

Ma'am.

How strange!

Last night, the strong wind suddenly stopped.

The fire wasn't big enough.

Some in the Fu family survived.

Father,

should we...?

Set this thing aside for now.

There is one thing more important right now.

What?

A letter came from Chang'an.

The Crown Prince is taking a concubine.

Then Yingying is going to Chang'an.

Tell your sister to pack her stuff.

Set off as soon as possible.

Wait.

Did you take care of

what happened last night?

Don't worry, Father.

Our men are professionals.

We didn't leave any trace.

No one will know that we did it.

The Lu family did this.

Are you sure?

The origin of fire can't be traced.

There is no physical evidence on site.

No one is caught.

But I know it must be them.

It's weird that Lu Qi happened to invite us for a drink.

Is it because he got angry competing against you

for Fu Rou?

Rou was almost burnt to death.

If he wants to get Rou,

he shouldn't set the fire.

Therefore, your suspicion doesn't make sense.

But I trust my instinct.

I just don't know

why they're targeting the Fu family.

Nanny!

Look.

It's the sea.

Yeah.

My Lord,

Lady Lu said she's tired.

She wants to rest at the beach.

Father.

Yingying is still like a child that never grows up.

She will never have such freedom

when she's in court in the future.

Just let her go.

Send my order.

Have a rest over there.

Yes, sir.

Ask them to leave.

You can go now, all of you.

-Yes, ma'am. -Go.

My lady, don't go any further.

It's dangerous.

You can also go now.

Me?

My brother said that

I'd live in Chang'an for the rest of my life.

This may be the last time that I see the sea.

I don't want someone nagging beside me.

Go away.

I have to take care of you.

If you do not go,

I will jump into the sea.

Don't do that. I will go.

My lady,

I will be there. Call me if you need me.

Go away!

Sunset lies over the sea.

Birds are chasing each other in the sky.

Tears of pearl filled half palm.

Yingying shall never regret it.

Who are you?

Don't be so surprised.

I've made much effort to swim up here.

You swam here?

There are so many guards.

This is as far as I can go.

Who on earth are you?

Your father's old friend.

All thanks to your father,

I've become who I am today.

Were you one of my father's men?

What were you singing just now?

Tears of pearl filled half palm.

Yingying shall never regret it.

Who is so cruel

to make you cry?

I made it up.

With my brother and my father,

no one dares to make me cry.

You...

Do you like the sea?

Sit farther.

The rock is only this big.

I will fall off if I sit over there.

My lady.

My lady.

The wind is so strong.

Don't catch a cold.

Come on.

Wear this.

I am not cold.

My lady,

what are you looking at?

Fish.

There are fish here?

Wait,

I want to stay here alone.

You should go.

Fine.

You can't be back until I call for you.

Yes, my lady.

I just picked it up.

Here.

It's so pretty.

Yingying,

Father just said that...

Assassin!

Yingying,

who is that man?
