After checking a briefcase

at Pennsylvania Station

I was practicing Woodcraft in the woods

just off the Bronx River Parkway extension

when I found Mr. Mazard's remains.

No, I was not scared.

length of stride,
any peculiarity of gait he may have.

of moderate circumstances.

each wondering how long it'll be
before the other is caught

and blabs out the whole story.

Well, now it's anybody's guess.

that pulls the rug right out
from under that theory.

It seems that Mazard's associates,

to follow him secretly at all times.

because he's disappeared as well.

He could have murdered Mazard, yes.

He might have tried to blackmail him
