And they've had a really strong 2018.

That was a big attraction for me.

and when I kind of had everything
on the table in front of me,

the Renault one encouraged me
and convinced me more.

I took a chance.

But also, they made a big gamble
signing me.

But, really, with Renault,

so far in the season,

This season has been probably
the most challenging...

experience in my career so far.

something happened to us

which had a negative impact
on the results.

Everything is different to the Red Bull.

All that being said,
it's still a race car.

You can drive it,
still nearly with your eyes closed.

But to drive it on the limit

and to really gel with
and understand the car,

that then takes a bit more time.

Slowest of the 12 drivers
that we have had so far.

[Daniel] Sorry, I lost the rear
quite early in the lap.

[commentator] Ricciardo doesn't seem as
confident on the brakes of a Renault yet

as he did in a Red Bull.

But that's not a silver bullet

for a car that in and of itself doesn't
have the capability of winning races.

I still know
I can get a lot more out of it.

There's still some areas I can improve on.
