we're gonna do some hypoxic trainingsome of you are probably familiar with

the concept basically with repetitionhypoxic training teaches the body to

function effectively using less and lessoxygen under water especially in big

wave conditions there are Augustadvantages when your body can better

utilize the limited oxygen supply inyour lungs

it gives you more time underwater livescan depend on those additional seconds

a perfect example is when i'm at restunder water I can hold my breath for

three minutes and 22 seconds

now if I swim as fast as I can that samesupply of oxygen when last minute 30

seconds

so the critical choice i must make ishow fast do I swim

how long do I choose to make my oxygensupply lasts in order to save the

drowning victim or stay under the waveand get to the victim choice

it's all about choice

so we're going to do a drill calledwhole town's 30 seconds is the amount of

time you have for each lap choice youcan swim a length as fast as you can for

10 seconds

come up and catch your breath for 20seconds and start the next lab or swim

for 15 Mary 4 15 or swim for 20 andbreathe for ten the more laps you do

fatigue becomes a factor in choice morecritical all right scope
