it just brought back
a lot of memories

of how unhappy I used to be.

And how growing up as a child,

if I would have know
where I was gonna be at 25,

I would have done things
so different.

But I am here at 25

because the way life
has played out.

And, damn, I've been through
some shit.

I've been drug
through the fucking mud

before I can sit up here.

And that's why the line
"hood to Hollywood"

is 100% me.

But you were going through

I don't know. It's just,
like, all of these moments

coming together
like you made it here

on this stage,
and then think about

how hard I was on myself
coming into this competition

and how hard I've been
on myself my entire life.

I wouldn't necessarily
change it.

It got me here,

and thinking about all that
and my journey here,

it's just emotional for me.

I'm just so proud of myself,
and I'm proud of all of us.

We did a fucking
fabulous job

under unheard of circumstances.

I was back in Conway

and the queen that I am now,

it's a beautiful thing.

got so emotional this week.

I loved it so much,
I can't even fathom it.

My journey is really recent,

and just having it from you guys
is already amazing,

and then having Ru
just support me

and see my art for it is

it's just mind blowing.

My journey with my parents,
too, she mentioned.

That's what got her.

My parents did have a hard time.

They weren't raised
to understand that.

I feel like "trans" was not
even in their vocabulary.

And so at the time, it just felt
like the end of the world.

Being here, I realize that

it's my responsibility as well
to educate them,

and it took me
literally 21 years

to figure it out
and understand it myself,

and I was living it.

So the fact
that I expected them

to just snap instantly
is so unfair.

And, you know, and they've shown
that they love me so much

and support everything I do
really fast.

-So I'm really proud of them

and I'm glad RuPaul sees it all.

And it is fab that you're
the first trans man on the show.

Just because us three,

we came from
the winner's circle,

with the hashtag.

But you were sent
to the porkchop loading dock,

but you're sitting here

There was never a doubt
in my mind that I would be here.

I'm really proud to be
the only person from that group,

but I'm also not surprised,

because I always had
my eye set on this.

And also, it's important

really hard to get here.

pay attention,
worry about yourself.

And then from that point,

me and Tamisha were in
the bottom the week after.

I said, okay, I need
to not worry about

this little hee-hee,
ha-ha drama bullshit.

I need to really put myself
in the competition and focus.

And then the following week,
I was in the top with Symone.

And it just shows, like,
we're all gonna have bad days.

That day on Untucked,
I mean, y'all saw me,

I was going,
"Don't call me arrogant!"

And then that truly
was the breaking point,

and it really was in reality
a blessing in disguise.

because, baby, here I am
in the top four.

Y'all, I keep thinking,

obviously,
just, like, every week,

we have a lip sync song
that we have to prepare, right?

there was a bottom two
lip sync to get to the top.

I can't see three and not four.

All day today
we've been worried,

because we could face
an elimination,

What's it like
to have that kind of support?

been with me no matter what.

And the only tumultuous time
I ever faced with them

was when I came out
because I was so confused.

And everything that
I've been through in my life

just being gay,
I couldn't imagine

what it's like to not have
that kind of support.

But the love that I have
inside me from my family always,

it's something that is so easily
transferable and teachable,

and I really feel
like it's a gift.

It's amazing that you have that
support system back at home.

And you know what?

There are a lot of queer youths,

a lot of Black
and Brown queer youth

that don't have that.

You have it, and you wanna
teach it to everyone else.

That's the best lesson
you can leave from here.

If you don't leave
with the crown,

you can leave
with knowing I can go around

and spread the love
that I have to everyone else.

-Back at home,

I have my drag family,

and I have a really good
support system back at home.

And it is important that
even if you don't have

a blood relative family that
is not your support system,

your chosen family
is very important.

My chosen family,

I would not be the same person
I am today without them.

And I don't think--

I don't even know
if I'd be here without them.

has inspired my life to
a degree I cannot even explain.

I'd agree.
Same thing with mine.

I wouldn't be the same
drag queen that I am.

But I have them, I have my
chosen family, I have my mom.

It's really strange, because I
put up a wall with my mom a lot,

because I just felt
like she didn't understand,

and I feel like I had
to go through some things.

But recently,
especially being here,

I forgot how much I miss her.

And I really
fucking miss my mom.

But she is my biggest supporter.

Before I came here,
she was, like,

you have a tendency
to doubt yourself.

You've always been in your head,
and that's the thing about you.

But you go there
and you show them

exactly who you are
and you stun.

And if they don't like it,
that's okay, because I love you.

And I was like, okay.

My dearest Symone.

I was both excited and nervous

when I found out that
you were on Drag Race.

is what we've been working for.

And for so long,

She has always been
my biggest cheerleader.

And like I said before,

I kind of put up a wall with her

because I felt like
I had to grow on my own.

But I needed that.

I needed kind of the reminder
that I'm special for my mom.

And I'm--I don't know.

I love her so much,

and a lot of times,
I feel like she's all I got.

But coming through this
competition, I learned I got me.

and now you have
come into your own so hard.
