[The Wolf]

[Episode 29]

It's not impossible

for me to teach you archery.

But, you have to listen to me.

[Bo Mansion]

[Bo Mansion] Chu You Wen!

You scum!

Your Highness.

Be careful.

Come out!

Be careful.

Mo Xiao.

Bring him to the guest room.

Yes.

Fourth Prince.

Hold it!

Come back.

I have something to ask you.

Give me the blade.

Give me the blade!

Give it to him.

My Lord.

Fourth Prince is drunk.

He might be reckless.

Be careful, My Lord.

Be careful.

My Lord.

Don't you know

how much I look forward to

your marriage with Sis Zhai Xing?

I don't want to see you

sacrificing yourself

all the time

for Big Brother and myself!

I want you to live a better life.

At this point,

you couldn't even love the woman

you love the most.

Today,

I will help you

kill yourself who is being deceived.

I can give you your freedom by doing that.

I want you

to find Sis Zhai Xing.

Find her!

Find her!

My Lord.

Mo Xiao.

Yes.

Take him back to the room.

Yes.

Here.

How much did Fourth Prince drink?

He even called Master's name directly.

I think he was so drunk that he lost his rationality.

I think he spoke his true feelings after he got drunk.

What Fourth Prince said just now

was heartbreaking.

Did Master not evade him

because he wanted

to be killed by Fourth Prince?

Master has already killed Wolfie

in his heart.

Someone.

Your Highness. What is it?

Remove all the cypress vines.

I don't want any plants in the mansion.

Clean Ma Zhai Xing's room.

Clear everything.

Yes. Your Highness.

Princess, you've been reading these military scrolls

for the whole night.

You will exhaust yourself

without eating or drinking anything.

Ji Chong said he will teach me archery this morning.

Why isn't he here yet?

Maybe...

Will you teach me archery now?

Are you ready?

Come in!

His Highness is calling us.

His Highness is so handsome.

I'm so nervous.

He's still so handsome.

Aren't you teaching me archery?

They are...

You are ready

but I'm not.

I have to eat.

But

I can't really

make a decision.

Decide for me.

Don't reject me.

Otherwise,

I won't teach you archery.

Pick a breakfast.

Princess. Pick mine.

Pick mine.

Mine is delicious.

It is very delicious.

Pick mine.

Stop!

May I ask?

What is the difference for all of you

if I choose one

and not the other?

Don't tell me that all of you

like that guy?

Princess.

How could you call His Highness

as "that guy"?

That's right.

His Highness is handsome

and talented.

He is a treasure of Jin.

I apologise for being rude.

His Highness is more handsome

compared to seven years ago.

His smile will charm everyone.

He's so handsome.

Crown Prince is handsome too.

Why don't you

surround him instead?

I'm sure you don't know this.

His Highness isn't arrogant

and is approachable.

Crown Prince is strict and doesn't smile.

He's very cool.

Princess.

All of us envy you.

Look.

His Highness is infatuated to you.

That's right. Princess.

You are taking it for granted.

So handsome.

Surprisingly,

this guy is also a superstar.

Look.

Do all of you want His Highness

to eat the breakfast

you made for him?

I've decided.

Which will you choose?

This. This.

This.

This, this, and this.

Everything from here.

Alright.

Since you've made your choice,

bring them over.

You're asking me to pick?

-Ma Zhai Xing. -I'll make you full.

I'm ordering you

to finish everything.

No leftovers.

Otherwise, don't expect me

to teach you archery.

You

liar.

In this world,

only Prince Ji Chong

can make Princess

eat and drink.

They are for His Highness.

You chose

all of these on your own.

You have to finish them.

Hurry up.

It's been so long

since you had a proper meal.

That's too much.

She's so rude.

She has no manners.

Slow down.

Will you teach me archery

once I'm done?

Finish it first.

Slow down. There's no rush.

Slow down.

Look at you.

He's wiping her mouth.

How is that possible?

Ma Zhai Xing.

Besides this,

I can still

do more for you.

You can choose

to live any life you want.

What do you have in mind?

I will give you three choices.

The first choice.

Keep leading the Ma Troop

and live your life opposing Lord Bo.

Second choice.

Go on an adventure with me

and enjoy yourself.

Third choice.

Marry me.

Rely on me.

Leave revenge-taking to me.

Let me protect you forever.

You should know that

in my current state,

I can only choose the first choice.

I've already guessed that.

I just want you to know that

as a lord myself,

I can offer you so much more than Lord Bo.

That includes changing your life.

Zhai Xing.

I will support you with all my heart

in defeating Lord Bo.

But you have to promise me.

Never let hatred

change your true self.

Hating someone too much

will make you

forget what you wanted initially.

Ji Chong. Thank you.

Also, I don't want you to strain yourself.

I don't want you to torture yourself.

You have to eat, sleep

and rest on time.

I know you are doing this for my own good.

I promise.

Are you done?

Let's go.

Where are we going?

Didn't you pick

the first life?

I will do my best

to help you out.

I'm bringing you to someone

who can oppose King of Jin.

Let's go.

Remember to guard this place.

Don't let anyone come in.

Yes.

Ji Chong. We are here...

Who lives inside?

Ping Yuan, Elder Princess of the previous era.

I asked Ke Lang to investigate

this for me.

Besides

her identity

and the fact that

tomorrow is her birthday,

I know nothing else.

The elder princess of the previous era is still alive?

Why didn't King of Jin

announce it to the public

and hid the truth?

Also,

how did

Elder Princess survive

Chu Kui's massacre?

We have to find

a key person

to answer

all your questions

so we can stand on the same ground

as the old man.

What a surprise.

The person who always passed by and didn't visit

is here to see me.

Grand Supervisor.

Ma Jing. Close the door!

Yes!

This is a trap!

Help! Help!

Grand Supervisor.

What a strong girl.

I wonder why do Your Highness and Princess

ask me to come here?

Grand Supervisor. I'm sorry.

I have a question.

Princess Ping Yuan at Tangxing Garden.

Tell me everything about her.

What is Your Highness talking about?

I don't get it.

See?

Zhai Xing. I knew it.

You won't get anything from him.

You should've listened to me.

We should rush Tangxing Garden and see

what's going on.

No.

That is too rude.

Why don't we

look for King of Jin directly?

I'm always rude

to him anyway.

I don't mind being rude again.

Sure.

I will accompany you

to make a mess out of the King of Jin's palace.

Let's go.

Fine.

Alright. I give up.

I give up. Alright?

I will tell you everything.

Don't cause any more trouble.

Grand Supervisor.

When I left Jin,

I've never heard of

Princess Ping Yuan before.

Brat, you know nothing.

Princess Ping Yuan

is the previous era's

last surviving

royal princess.

A royalty?

Are you sure of her identity?

According to King of Jin's personality,

I'm sure her identity is confirmed.

As the last surviving member of the previous era,

doesn't she want to appear in public

and gather people?

Elder Princess lives a tough life.

Although she experienced the massacre

and still survives,

she got a long scar

that was left

on her face.

Elder Princess has high self-esteem.

She doesn't want to face the public

with her face.

That was why she asked King of Jin

to let her live the rest of her life

without anyone knowing.

Zhai Xing.

Meet her with me.

Brat!

Elder Princess is respectable.

Without the King of Jin's orders,

no one can enter Tangxing Garden.

Don't cause any trouble.

Alright. I understand.

I think

both Princess Ping Yuan and I

suffered in the hands of Chu Kui.

We have the same fate.

I heard that tomorrow

is Elder Princess's birthday.

I'm sure you are busy.

I've taken too much of your time.

That is too much

coming from you, Princess.

If there's nothing else,

I'll be leaving now.

I have to prepare

for Princess's birthday tomorrow.

Thanks for today, Grand Supervisor.

I didn't expect

to get such important information.

Zhai Xing.

We should get Princess Ping Yuan to come to our side

and ask her to support you and the Ma Troop.

With that,

the old man will not

be able to control you.

This won't work.

Didn't you hear

what he just said?

No one can see Princess Ping Yuan

without the King of Jin's orders.

It's better

for us to find another way.

Fourth Prince. Please drink it.

This is a hangover cure.

Why are you in my mansion?

This is the Bo Mansion.

You were drunk yesterday.

You made a mess out of the Bo Mansion.

What did I do?

Your Highness

tried to kill Lord Bo with a blade yesterday.

Did I try to kill Third Brother?

Is he alright now?

He is so strong.

No one can hurt him.

Why am I worrying about nothing?

People like him

deserves to die.

You were more honest

when you were drunk.

It feels like you are lying

now that you are sober.

What did I say?

Stop making me guess.

The truth.

Did you

forget about

the truth you said?

[Lord Bin of the Yang, Chu You Yu's Grave]

The grass on Big Brother's grave has grown.

I finally understand

why did Big Brother

sacrifice his own life

and chose to save you.

Even if you were misunderstood by me,

you still wouldn't

tell me the truth.

Even if you lose the person

you love the most,

you will still sacrifice yourself

for me.

Third Brother. You're so foolish.

Big Brother had passed away for so long.

He left you alone

here in the dark.

It must've been lonely, right?

Wipe your tears.

Both Big Brother

and I don't want

to see your crying face.

Third Brother. I swear.

From now on,

I will not let you

fight this battle alone.

I won't be as childish

as I used to be.

I will take you as my example

and listen to you.

I will never disobey you.

If you don't believe me,

I'll ask Big Brother to be my witness.

[Lord Bin of the Yang, Chu You Yu's Grave]

You have to promise me one thing.

Tell me.

Never get drunk and make a mess

at the Bo Mansion

and call me by my name.

It's getting late. Let's go.

Wait. I came here because

I have something important

to tell Big Brother.

I hope Big Brother

can bless Third Brother and Sis Zhai Xing.

Although they are already on

opposing sides,

I hope they

never fight each other.

I don't want to see

two people in love

fighting

with each other again.

You can't hide from what is supposed to happen.

What's coming, will still come in the end.

[Tangxing Garden]

Princess.

Are you sure you want to do this?

Besides meeting Princess Ping Yuan

and let her

support me and the Ma Troop,

I have no other choice.

Didn't you oppose this method

when Ji Chong suggested it?

I don't want

to get him involved in this.

I've troubled him enough.

I don't want

his father and son relationship with King of Jin

to get worse.

Alright.

I'm going all out for you, Princess.

I didn't expect

Princess Ping Yuan and my mother to have

the same birthday.

Both of them like cypress vine as well.

Is she the one?

Ma Zhai Xing is here to see Princess Ping Yuan.

Who are you?

How dare you trespass the Tangxing Garden?

Someone!

I'm sorry.

Your Highness. Don't be afraid.

I'm here today

to ask for a request.

I apologise

for frightening Your Highness

just now.

I hope you forgive me.

I've heard about Princess Ma

from King of Jin.

Although I don't know what is your request,

I'm sure I can't help you.

Princess Ma. Please return.

What I'm requesting for

is what Your Highness

has always been

hoping for every day.

A peaceful life for

the people in our hometown.

King of Jin has his plans.

I advise you not to be anxious.

I can't endure it any longer.

Your Highness is bearing the grudge of the nation.

Will you endure it

again and again?

I'm a weak woman.

If it wasn't for King of Jin's protection,

I'm afraid I would've already been dead.

Taking revenge is sweet.

But if it is rushed,

you might die

before you've taken your revenge.

But we can

no longer delay it.

If we drag this out,

Jin will lose its chance

to attack with the initiative.

That is why I am so anxious.

If Your Highness

begs King of Jin

to deploy his army

and attack Chu Kui,

perhaps he might listen.

Chu Kui is the culprit

who annihilated your family after all.

I don't understand anything about situations and timing.

I advise you to forget about this.

But I understand

your pain of not being able to speak out

after all these years.

These pain

can never be told to anyone

and can only be kept inside.

Living in silence at day

and struck by nightmares at night.

You'll experience more pain

as time passes.

Bearing the huge burden

of hatred alone

that will never be gone

It is endless.

You were correct about

my situation all these years indeed.

You are ambitious,

but from what I've heard,

the Ma Troop is a group full of elites

without a leader.

The discipline is weak.

It is not as strong as it used to be.

I hope Your Highness

will come with me

and see for yourself.

Cypress vine

was my mother's favourite flower

when she was alive.

It signifies the Queen.

Alike.

You look so alike.

Your Highness.

Your face

looks like a friend of mine.

Was your mother from the Yang?

Of course.

My mother was poor.

She married my father as a concubine.

It's impossible that

Your Highness knew my mother.

I'm not sure why

but I feel

familiar with you.

Maybe it's because

both of us like cypress vine.

So...

I will go with you.

Thank you, Your Highness.

The Ma Troop

will never disappoint you.

There is a path to go out in the back garden.

We don't have to alert the guards.

Alright.

[Ma Troop Drill Ground] Here!

[Ma Troop Drill Ground]

[Ma Troop Drill Ground] Pass. Over here.

Here. Let's go.

Here. Hurry up!

Hurry!

Here!

Pass!

Look.

Who are you passing to?

I hope we don't have to fight anymore.

Life like this

is so good.

Exactly.

If we have a woman by our side,

that will be perfect.

Yes. You are right.

Pass it here.

This is what you wanted to show me?

The Ma Troop is really

as King of Jin said.

Hurry up.

Princess is here!

Quiet. Stand in line.

Princess.

Princess. Madam. Ma Jing.

Princess. Have you eaten?

What are you doing?

There is no discipline at all!

Is this the Ma Troop

that terrifies everyone?

Princess. I can explain.

This...

Ma Ye Han.

I've seen everything.

There is no need to explain.

I'm ordering you

to drill the army into shape immediately.

You will be punished by the military law otherwise.

Yes. Princess.

Fall in!

Your Highness.

I'm responsible for not guiding the troop.

That was embarrassing.

I'm sure there's a reason for this.

I hope Your Highness

can give the Ma Troop another chance

and don't be disappointed.

Since you are confident,

show me the Ma Troop

that you speak of

which is feared around the world.

Thank you. Your Highness.

King of Jin.

Crown Prince.

Something...

Something happened to Princess.

What happened?

Tell him.

King of Jin.

Her Highness

was abducted by Princess Ma.

She even tied me up.

That's unacceptable!

Ju Qi. Come with me.

This...

Stay focused!

Straighten your waist! Train harder!

Princess.

Our brothers

were just poisoned.

They are recovering.

Weren't you worrying about

their health yesterday?

Father said

building an army's discipline

will take many years.

But destroying it only takes a moment.

The Ma Troop's morale is low now

and there's no sense of unity.

If we don't train right now,

when will we recover the morale?

Do you want King of Jin

to chase us away from Taiyuan?

Ma Troop!

If anyone defies my orders,

they will be punished by military law!

Yes!

Focus!

Stand straight!

Didn't you eat?

Brothers! Endure it!

Listen to Princess.

Endure!

Get up!

Get up!

Get up! Keep training!

Can't you understand me?

Keep going!

Soldiers!

Stop!

You met His Highness

without my orders

and brought her out.

What were your intentions?

Greetings, King of Jin.

Please calm down.

I brought His Highness

to take a look at

the Ma Troop that's serving her.

I have no intention of offending you.

Ma Zhai Xing. Are you sure?

Or are you holding a grudge against Father

for not deploying his troops?

King of Jin.

Your argument with her

was caused by me.

I promised to come out with her.

I hope you don't

blame Princess Ma.

I'm just worried

about Your Highness's safety.

I will forget what Princess Ma has done.

Ju Qi.

Send Her Highness

back to the Tangxing Garden to rest.

Her Highness. Please.

Farewell, Your Highness.

An army's commander

can decide the result of a battle with careful planning.

Being calm is the key.

You were blinded by hatred.

You are not suitable

to command the Ma Troop.

Forgive me for being frank.

For the past few days,

you wouldn't see me

and discuss the war with me.

I had no choice and

my hands were tied.

That was why I defied your orders

and met Her Highness on my own.

Once the Ma Troop finishes training,

I will

apologise to you in person.

Ma Jing.

Yes.

Send King of Jin off.

How dare you.

Are you chasing me away?

Soldiers of the Ma Troop!

Keep training!

The Ma Troop Seal is here.

Stop training!

Why do you have

the Ma Troop Seal?

What are you thinking?

Did you lie to me

to take away the Ma Troop's command?

Princess.

You've misunderstood Prince.

I gave him the seal.

You handed the seal to an outsider.

Are you staging a rebellion?

I...

Someone!

Take Ma Ye Han away and punish him

according to criminal law!

Can't you

understand my orders?

Take him away!

Take him away!

Now!

Take Ma Ye Han away and punish him

according to criminal law!

Hurry up!

Ji Chong!

Princess.

What are you doing?

Princess.

Put me down!

Princess.

Put me down!

Ji Chong!

Put me down!

Ji Chong!

What are you doing?

Put me down!

Ji Chong!

Put me down!

What are you doing? Put me down!

Put me down!

-Put me down!

-Princess! -Let me go!

Why did you throw Princess

into the water?

Princess.

No one moves!

Princess.

Ji Chong, that's too much!

Ma Zhai Xing!

Take a look at yourself!

Your heart is

only filled with hatred toward Lord Bo.

You can't separate

your allies from your enemies.

Are you still the Ma Zhai Xing

that I know?

Strategist Ma

gave me the seal

because he was prepared

to sacrifice himself

on the night

before the hostage exchange!

He was afraid

that he would die when rescuing you.

That was why

he asked me to protect you.

He wanted me to hand

your father's seal to you.

After rescuing you,

General Lee wanted

to return the seal to me.

But I thought

it was better for him to return it

to you.

That's because he contributed

the most in that operation.

The brothers trust him as well.

Why didn't you return it to me?

Because you are always thinking

about getting revenge.

I'm afraid

seeing your father's seal

will only increase your hatred.

I wanted to wait for a few days

and return to you when you've calmed down.

Also, Princess.

Our brothers were having fun

because those were wine and dishes

sent by Crown Prince.

I dare not reject.

I thought they worked hard

for the past two days

and decided to give them a rest.

It was my fault

that you've misunderstood.

The fault is not yours.

It's all my fault.

I let all of you down.

I let the Ma Troop down.

Zhai Xing.

When you hate someone too much,

you will forget

what's most important to you.

You were too busy hating Lord Bo

and tortured your body.

You didn't even trust the people around you.

Ask yourself. Was it worth it?

I'm sorry.

I let all of you down.

I was arrogant and full of myself.

I even doubted

the Ma Troop

who is loyal to me.

King of Jin was right.

I'm not suitable

to command the Ma Troop.

The Ma Zhai Xing in my heart

is wise

and benevolent.

She also has the courage

that doesn't lose to men.

If you are not blinded by hatred

and face it calmly,

I believe you can

command the Ma Troop well.

Remember.

This seal

is not a tool for your revenge.

It is the courage that was given to you by your father.

Ma Jing. Brother Ye Han.

Will you forgive me?

We've never blamed you.

If you are fine,

we will be fine as well.

Don't blame yourself anymore.
