[The Wolf]

[Episode 5]

You are the Princess of the Ma Family.

No wonder

you threw me to the Ma Troop in the past.

Now that I'm Lord Wolf

while you are someone from Ma Family.

Stand there.

Who dares to trespass Ma Mansion at night?

Who is there?

I am the Prince of Tongzhou.

I am friends with the Ma Family's Princess.

I heard about Ma Mansion's tragedy

and came here.

The princess was burnt to a crisp.

Her corpse is unrecognisable.

She is in one of these coffins.

The corpse is unrecognisable

but the Princess's bronze bell

could not be burnt.

Has anyone here found

the princess's bronze bell?

I've searched the Ma Mansion

according to the strategist's orders.

I didn't find any bronze bells.

In that case,

I believe that

the princess is still alive.

With the Ma Mansion as the Center,

I will bring my men to search towards the South.

If it's as the young master says,

we can definitely find the princess with this clue.

Let's not waste time.

I will leave immediately

and search towards the North.

If the princess is found,

you will be the one who contributed the most.

I'm just worried about

the princess's safety.

Princess Ma

might wake up any time soon.

My lord, you can question her later.

The princess woke up.

Princess.

Princess Ma.

She

is not Ma Zhai Xing.

She is just an empty shell.

Right now,

she is not Ma Zhai Xing.

Princess Ma

probably suffered from schizophrenia.

She had

a huge trauma.

Her head was struck heavily as well.

Her mind and body couldn't take it

and it feels like her soul has left her body.

She cannot communicate at all.

If the princess

doesn't drink or eat,

I'm afraid

it will endanger her life.

Bring some water.

News from Ma Ye Han.

The castellan's family was annihilated by Jin.

Everyone from

the Castellan's family is dead?

They died in King of Jin's hands.

[Ma Troop, Ma Jing]

Brother.

We are near the Imperial City.

We can beg His Majesty

to send the army

to take down Jin.

An eye for an eye!

[Ma]

Break camp immediately

and head for the Imperial City

so His Majesty can seek justice for the Ma Troop!

Let's depart

to punish the enemy!

An eye for an eye!

An eye for an eye!

The imperial court and the Ma Troop reactions

towards Ma Ying's death

was just as I expected.

Don't worry, Your Majesty.

Everything is moving according to Your Majesty's plan.

Ma Troop has submitted the army list.

They hope Your Majesty can attack the King of Jin.

They are willing

to sacrifice themselves.

Using Ma Ying's death alone

to exchange for the whole army's morale.

It's worth it.

Yes.

Regarding Ma Family Army's

return to the Capital,

send the Prime Minister, Jing Xiang

to welcome them.

Yes.

Looks like the princess

has no intention to survive anymore.

Even her body

refuses to drink.

I'm afraid she will die soon.

The medicine has no effect.

If the medicine doesn't work,

we will fight poison with poison.

There's still one way

to fight poison with poison.

But a strong medicine like that...

I still

need one more ingredient.

What is it?

Cypress vine.

Cypress vine is gentle but not weak.

It is able to mediate the princess's poison

and protect the princess's life.

Without the cypress vine,

the princess might die here.

We need to hurry.

Where can we find the Cypress vine?

There's a Star Moon Mountain not far from here.

The terrain is rough.

We might find it there.

Take care of the princess.

I'm going to Star Moon Mountain.

My Lord, wait.

It's a bad idea

to go to this mountain rashly.

There's a legend saying that a big tiger is there.

My Lord, are you sure you want to go?

It's been a while since I fought a tiger.

This is still my first time

fighting two at once though.

Search everywhere

around a 10-Li radius

to find the princess!

Yes!

Young Master.

There's a temple ahead.

The horse outside

looks like a warhorse of the army.

It's not a usual mount.

Be careful and scout it out.

Yes.

It's been a while since Master went to the mountains.

He should be back by now.

Who are you?

How dare you abduct the Ma family princess?

Looking at your outfit

and the seal of

Tongzhou's Castellan on you,

I'm sure

you are from Tongzhou's Gu family.

I am Gu Qing Ping, the Prince of Tongzhou.

Who are you?

The Dragon Command Seal is here.

We are His Majesty's envoys.

Your Honor is the envoys of His Majesty?

That's right.

Leave.

Yes.

Why will you

be with the princess at this place?

His Majesty received a tip-off.

The Ma Family might be attacked by the King of Jin.

That is why His Majesty sent us here.

Yet, we were still late.

Princess Ma

was rescued by us.

Thank you

for your assistance

to keep Princess Ma alive.

You knew the princess?

I'm an old friend of the princess.

We cherish each other.

Princess Ma was struck on the head

and is suffering from schizophrenia.

Besides

drinking medicine to cure it,

if she has a friend to talk to her,

it might help to cure her.

Let's see if you

can awaken the princess.

Let me accompany

the princess alone for a while.

Princess Ma's problem

is my problem.

I will accompany her

until she is awake.

Princess.

I told you that

I will bring you away from the sad place.

Leave Kuizhou

and go to a brand new place.

My Lord.

You are hurt.

Who is he?

The princess's old friend.

Prince of Tongzhou's.

The princess hasn't eaten at all.

He said he is

a trusted friend of the princess.

So,

he might succeed

if he tries it.

This is peppermint.

Indeed.

It helps with refreshing the mind.

Give it to him.

Yes.

Here.

Princess.

You have to eat to regain energy.

The princess is eating.

Eat more.

Father.

Princess?

Are you awake?

It's me.

Do you still remember me?

Father.

You want

to return to Ma Mansion

and see your father?

Princess wants to return to Ma Mansion.

Let's send her back immediately.

Regarding this,

we have to

ask the envoy.

Your Honor.

What do you want?

The princess spoke just now.

She wants to return to Ma Mansion.

I think this will be beneficial

to the princess's illness.

That's impossible.

Please tell me the reason.

You don't have

the right to know.

I'm the princess's friend.

You saw it.

The princess wouldn't eat

if it wasn't for me.

Good.

Keep feeding her.

You don't have to ask about anything else.

Your Honour, are you

ordering me like a slave?

So what?

You...

My Master is

the envoy appointed by His Majesty.

He has the Dragon Command Seal.

Whatever he says is

His Majesty's command.

It's so strange.

When the Young Master

fed the princess water,

she still wouldn't drink.

Don't tell me that

the key to the princess eating

lies in Master's peppermint?

My Lord.

How did you know

the princess likes peppermint?

I was just giving it a try.

I've got the Cypress Vine.

Make the medicine and feed it to her.

Yes.

What is the situation of the Ma Troop?

According to the calculation,

they should be near the Imperial City.

The Prime Minister is here!

Even the Prime Minister

is welcoming them in person.

Looks like His Majesty

is really giving Ma Troop a great welcome.

The Ma Troop return

looks normal.

General Ma.

It's been tough

on your arduous journey.

I hope you can stay in

the Imperial City for a long time.

[Prime Minister, Jing Xiang] I will definitely treat you well.

We can assist each other

with my civil ability and your military prowess.

Let's serve His Majesty together.

Prime Minister.

You are too polite.

Now!

General Ma!

You...

You are...

I don't mind

sacrificing everything

to find the truth

of Castellan Ma's death.

Do you think

the Ma Family Army will easily believe

that the King of Jin is the murderer?

Ma Feng Cheng.

Didn't you report to His Majesty

that this case

has Castellan Ma's handwriting on it?

Besides,

No one in this world

except for Jin

would dare to assassinate someone

from Ma Family.

For more than ten years,

King of Jin has been persuading the Castellan to side with him.

He is someone who values talents.

He will never harm the Castellan easily.

You!

This is serious.

Here.

We will move separately.

Go back

and report this to Master.

I will meet His Majesty.

Everyone here

is willing to die

for the Castellan.

We will die for the Castellan!

We will die for the Castellan!

Your Majesty.

The Ma Troop said

they don't doubt you.

But they hope that

you can see them in person

and swear an oath with your blood.

Only then will they believe

that this is done by Jin.

How capable of them.

How dare they force me

to swear an oath for their trust?

If I did that,

where will the might of the emperor go?

Do I have to

swear such an oath for everyone?

Reporting.

Hai Die from Lord Wolf Mansion requests for a meeting.

Your Majesty.

Is Ma Zhai Xing still alive?

Where is she?

Lord Wolf is bringing her back to the city.

Go and assist Lord Wolf.

He needs to come back immediately.

Hurry.

My Lord!

My Lord.

It's bad!

The Ma Army will not believe

that the murderer is the Jin Army.

They've captured the Prime Minister

and force His Majesty to meet them.

They even made a remonstration

for His Majesty to swear a blood oath.

Let's go.

Bring the Princess

and leave immediately.

Where is she?

Did the young master

stubbornly bring her back to Kuizhou

despite

Master's objection?

Mo Xiao.

Did you see

anyone suspicious on your way here?

I was heading in

the direction to Kuizhou on my way here.

This young master

did not bring the princess back to Ma Mansion.

Looks like

this Prince of Tongzhou

is not who he seems.

He must have an ulterior motive.

Here.

Drink!

Congratulations to Young Master for saving the princess.

Yes.

-Congratulations, Young Master. -Congratulations, Young Master.

Here. Young Master, drink.

Drink!

The envoys still believe

Young Master was there to bring

the princess back to Ma Mansion.

I'm sure they are looking for her now.

Young Master is wise.

Now, the Ma Family's Princess

will be controlled by Young Master.

That's right.

Yes.

Young Master is great.

That's right.

-Young Master is wise. -Young Master is wise.

Here.

Drink.

Eat.

Drink.

Ma Zhai Xing.

If you are awake,

you will definitely

ask why I'm not

bringing you to Ma Mansion.

You should blame Chu Kui!

The Gu Family worked for him for a lifetime

but he betrayed us

and removed our authority.

I did everything

to get close to you

so I can coax you

into siding with Jin

and threaten Ma Family

to surrender as well.

Unexpectedly,

your family was destroyed by Jin first.

Luckily, you're still alive.

You will become my bargaining chip

to ally with Jin.

Young Master.

It is as you expected.

The group of imperial envoys

is heading towards Ma Mansion.

Great!

We will be long gone when

they realised that they've been tricked.

Young Master is wise.

Young Master is wise.

You are really sick.

Why did you love someone who was raised by a wolf

instead of someone normal?

Today, I will let you know

that I'm the real wolf.

It's said that

if you drink Manluo Wine,

you will have illusions.

Today, I will test it out

on you, a living dead.

Okay?

In my life, I'm good at

playing with

a rich family's daughter like you.

Why are you here?

Didn't you go to Ma Mansion?

How could I

enter your lair if I don't deceive you

and see your intention of defecting to the enemy?

Why is

the Manluo Wine taking effect now?

Young Master!

Young Master!

Young Master!

Hurry!

Kill him!

Hurry!

Bring Ma Family's Princess away!

Die!

Don't come here!

Don't come here!

Don't come here!

No!

Wolfie.

This is the shape of the wind.

Wolfie.

It's you.

You've finally come to find me.

But now that you're back,

father

and everyone else

They are all...

They are all gone.

I am the Third Prince, Lord Wolf.

According to the imperial court's rules,

you can call me

Lord Wolf.

You

are not Wolfie?

Or

are you still blaming me

and won't be acquainted with me?

Princess Ma.

Looks like

you have not fully recovered from your schizophrenia.

You still can't differentiate illusions from reality.

My Lord.

Your injury is serious.

You have to get it treated now.

Let's go.

Princess Ma.

You've just recovered from schizophrenia.

I'm sure you are confused.

Can you tell me

what was the last memory

that you remember?

I remember

I was talking

with my father that night.

Suddenly,

someone attacked Ma Mansion.

Father asked me to leave

to protect me.

He started to fight with

the man in black clothes.

I thought

I will die with my father

but I was just knocked out.

We arrived at

the last moment

to defeat the assassin

and save you.

But we couldn't prevent

the tragedy from happening.

His Majesty received a tip-off.

He knew

King of Jin will harm Ma Family.

Everything was

really the act of Jin?

Indeed,

it was not done

by Jin alone.

I believe

the King of Jin and the Prince of Tongzhou,

Gu Qing Ping conspired together.

My Lord.

It is as you predicted.

I found a letter of treason

with Jin

on the corpse of

the Prince of Tongzhou.

This as well.

It's the Tiger Seal used by

the Jin army.

Princess.

The despicable people of Jin

used these tricks

to harm my family.

I, Ma Zhai Xing,

will definitely avenge my father

and everyone in Ma Mansion

to seek justice from Jin in my life.

They will pay!

Third Prince.

I thank you for rescuing me.

I will go to

the Capital to thank you

after I arranged the funeral

back at Ma Mansion tomorrow.

No.

Tomorrow at dawn,

all of us will return

to the Capital immediately.

Princess.

This is not the end.

The Ma Troop doesn't know about Jin's trickery.

They think that

the annihilation of Ma Family

was related to His Majesty.

They had already launched an assault

on the Capital.

What?

Castellan Ma Ying is dead.

The lives of everyone of the Ma Troop

depends on you, Princess.

Whether we can return on time

and prevent a war,

I'm sure you know

what is more important.

You've just recovered.

Rest early today.

We return immediately

tomorrow morning.

Thank you, everyone.

My Lord.

Let me treat you with acupuncture.

Princess Ma.

I have to take off Master's clothes.

Please go inside.

My Lord.

Forgive me for saying this.

After this injury has recovered,

you will not only have scars.

You might hurt your muscles and bones

if you don't focus on your recovery.

Injury?

Scar?

Princess Ma.

What is it?

Forgive me for being rude.

I have a friend

who looks similar to Your Highness.

He has a scar on his shoulder.

I have no scars on my body.

Now you should know

that I am

not your friend, right?

Rest early.

We return immediately

at dawn tomorrow.

Swear a blood oath!

Seek the truth!

Swear a blood oath!

Seek the truth!

Swear a blood oath!

Seek the truth!

[Yang's Second Prince, Chu You Gui]

Second Prince!

The Ma Family Army understands

that approaching the Capital with an army

carries the same crime as treason!

But everyone from the mansion

[Suyang] was annihilated!

We have to take revenge!

We hope His Majesty can be here

and clear his doubts with a blood oath

so we are convinced and be loyal

to His Majesty!

Generals!

The death of Castellan Ma

and the annihilation of Ma Family

were not felt only by all of you.

His Majesty feels sad as well.

However,

swearing a blood oath

is not something you should do to threaten His Majesty!

Threatening in this manner

is a rude

and unloyal act!

Lord Yun!

Everyone in the Ma Troop is enraged!

We have no choice!

We seek His Majesty's forgiveness!

The Ma Troop only seeks justice

and the truth!

It's not hard to get the truth!

A few days ago,

His Majesty received a tip-off

that said Jin will harm the Ma Family.

His Majesty sent Lord Wolf

to protect them.

Lord Wolf has replied

and said he will return

with proof that convinces everyone!

If it is fake,

it's not too late

for all of you to seek justice from His Majesty!

Fine!

I will wait for Lord Wolf

and see what he brings back!

Brother.

They are trying to

delay us

and tries to destroy us

with a pincer attack.

Lord Yun!

If I don't see Lord Wolf by noon,

we have no choice

but to invade the city!

My Lord.

It's bad.

Hai Die sent a homing pigeon.

Ma Troop has gone to take the Capital.

They are half a day earlier

than we predicted.

It's bad if the army reaches

the Capital first.

Your Highness.

Let's go immediately.

Princess Ma.

It's not that His Highness doesn't want to continue,

but it's too late

to enter the Capital

on our original plans.

The Ma Troop will reach first.

What should we do?

There is a dangerous path.

It is the fastest way to reach the Capital.

We will reach around noon.

My Lord.

That is not a path.

Even if it's a path,

it's not made for humans.

This path is...

Your Highness.

As long as the Ma Troop can be saved,

I'm willing to give it a shot.

Since Princess Ma is willing to take the risk...

I'm also a member of Ma Troop.

I will sure take the risk.

I will accompany you with my life.
