Episode 11

I feel so sorry for Sim Su Ryeon.

She was too gentle a person to have been used and killed

by someone like you.

Thank you.

For still remembering me.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by 💥 The Penthouse Tangles II 💥 Team @ Viki.com

What are you doing?

You're Su Ryeon!

You're indeed Su Ryeon!

Don't think about running away anymore.

I'm sorry for recognizing you so late.

Where are you?

Cheon Seo Jin, where the hell are you?

She went to the lesson room.

How dare she leaves without my permission?

I asked her to give me a lesson. To get ready for my final-term exam.

You didn't bring her here to make her cook, did you? Let me borrow her from you.

Tell her to get right back home when she's done.

Sure thing.

I told him you went to the lesson room. You have a couple of hours free of him. [Teacher Cheon]

Sir, take a look at this, please.

What is it?

Logan Lee?

Did Na Ae Gyo meet Logan Lee?

Yes. Apparently, they got together in secret at the end of the auction.

When did that damn guy crawl back into Korea?

What the hell is James doing not keeping track of his own son?

- Where is Na Ae Gyo now? - She returned to the mountain villa.

The mountain villa.

Hey, it's me.

Do you know who Logan is?

Come to the mountain villa right away. It's urgent.

Got it. I'm on my way.

Bring the car around.

Help me, Yun Hui.

How can I trust you?

Naturally, you can't trust me. I understand.

But when I am where I am, what's the point of deceiving you?

I came to you willing to go to prison.

So?

What do you have to tell me?

On the day of the Cheong Ah Arts Festival,

Eun Byeol struck Ro Na with the trophy.

Ro Na fell down the stairs.

And it was Eun Byeol's dad who put that trophy in Seok Gyeong's locker.

We both were crazy with the single thought of saving Eun Byeol.

Knowing that, Ju Dan Te began threatening me.

He had the Eun Byeol's necklace that fell off of her at the scene.

Are you looking for this?

In order to take my Cheong Ah Group away from me,

he took advantage of your daughter's death.

What's the difference?

It's still Eun Byeol who killed my daughter.

No! It may be Eun Byeol.

Or it may not.

Ju Dan Te was also at the scene. Eun Byeol heard his ringtone.

Are you joking now?

Do you expect me to believe your daughter who barely remembers a thing?

I, I can prove it.

At the concert, Ju Dan Te changed his clothes.

Isn't it suspicious for him to change right before the award ceremony?

There definitely must be something.

Either way, Voice Spy

Bae Ro Na proved to be a pretty useful child. As much as Min Seol Ah.

Because those children who were nobody died at the time they did,

I could so easily get my hands on Sim Su Ryeon and

Cheon Seo Jin's assets.

Are you framing Ju Dan Te for everything at this point?

Do you really think you can prove his guilt with these few pictures?

He could've had plenty of reasons to change his clothes.

Believe me. I'm not doing this to save Eun Byeol.

What I'm after is the truth of that day.

Ju Dan Te, that devil.

Help me to finish him off with my own hands.

I beg of you. Yun Hui.

Then come clean.

Confess everything you and Eun Byeol did to my Ro Na.

Recording in progress

Fine.

I'll tell all.

Who the hell are you?

What are you trying to pull off? Huh?

Logan!

How long has it been?

I thought your dear father kept you locked up, but I see you're a horse on the loose.

Ju Dan Te!

What brought you here? No, no.

Rather, how did you find out about this place?

He followed me here all the way from the auction site.

Clearly, you haven't freed yourself from the grip of Sim Su Ryeon even in her death.

Apparently, I was too gentle with you last time.

Put him in the storage. I'll give him a good lesson.

Let go. Let go! Let go of me!

What the heck did he tell you?

He marveled how I looked just like Sim Su Ryeon and asked what my connection to you was.

That lunatic.

The trouble is he knows about CEO Jeong Du Man.

What?

He seemed to know we've been investing with the information from Jeong.

That scumbag threatened me demanding the truth.

By any chance,

didn't Sim Su Ryeon also know before her death?

No, she didn't. She couldn't have known anything.

It isn't likely that Jeong Du Man opened his mouth either.

Anyhow, go see him. If you probe him deep enough, something's bound to come out.

Talk to you later.

Mr. Hong, this is Sim Su Ryeon.

Let go!

Let go, you bastards!

You thugs.

Let go!

Hey, Logan!

Apparently, you got quite excited thinking Sim Su Ryeon came back from the dead.

What a shame. To be disappointing you like this.

Don't you have fear? You shouldn't have coveted another man's woman.

You and your flimsy attempts to side with her is

what sent her to her premature death. Asshole.

A young lord from an affulent family with too much

is wasting his time on earth obsessing over useless things.

Too bad. But your pathetic attempts at a payback has got to stop right here.

You son of bitch.

Take it off.

What the hell? What just happened here?

Douse him!

Sir.

We got ambushed. Logan's people knew, and they followed us.

They replaced the driver. Obviously, they knew Logan was supposed to get in that car.

Step on it.

What's that?

Just go.

Just step on it and go!

Who the heck are you?

Hey!

Are you alright, sir?

You worthless jerk.

Didn't you even bother identifying the driver?

Damn you, seriously.

Na Ae Gyo.

Wait, him and Na Ae Gyo?

Calling Na Ae Gyo

How did it go? What did he say?

What took you so long to answer that damn phone only now?

I was in the shower and dashed out to pick it up.

That temper, temper. Do you think I'm some pushover?

Forget it. I'll catch up with you later.

You, some piece of work.

This has been your plan all along. Right, Su Ryeon?

If you were going to rescue me, why did you call in Ju Dan Te?

I had no choice in order to earn his trust.

He's already suspecting me knowing that we met privately.

We lived twenty years together. It's only a matter of time he begins to see things.

Why on earth are you doing something as risky as this?

Where have you been all this time? And not a word or one call from you?

You're alive. Why didn't you ever contact me?

Sim Su Ryeon is dead.

At that time two years ago.

Sim Su Ryeon is alive and she is right before me.

You and I have nothing to do with each other now.

I've got things to do as Na Ae Gyo.

Until I completely finish what I have to do, no one must know I'm alive.

That includes Oh Yun Hui.

How can I pretend that I don't know you?

Besides, you may end up in danger again.

Su Ryeon.

I regretted every single day of the last two years.

For the fact that I failed to protect you and

I left for the airport without you, I couldn't forgive myself, and that drove me crazy everyday.

GPS Tracking Target Aquired

Ju Dan Tae is coming.

Hurry up and leave. I can't help you again.

I can't leave. Let's go together.

I will never leave alone.

You did everything you could by bringing justice for Seol Ah.

Going forward, it's my problem now.

Don't get involved anymore.

Everything will be over in two weeks.

If my plans are ruined because of you,

I'll live in misery for the rest of my life.

And I'll resent you forever. Hurry and go.

Promise me one thing.

That you'll call me if you're in danger.

That you will never leave without me.

Hurry and leave.

Su Ryeon.

Thank you for being alive.

We have to pay the remaining balance in full by tomorrow?

What kind of ridiculous condition is that?

I barely managed to buy that land through the auction.

We should be willing to do that much.

Just today, the price of the land we own went up twenty percent.

Still, how are we going to raise fifty million wons in a day?

Well, we can scrape up anything worth money.

And you can get a loan with your penthouse as collateral.

That's ridiculous. I won't touch my penthouse.

Honey.

How much is that new money safe that moved into your house worth?

Money safe?

You mean Cheon Seo Jin.

We should try squeezing out of her what we can since we're in a rush.

Are you going to lose the downpayment of the fifty million?

Everything got messed up because of Oh Yun Hui.

I'm positive Logan Lee is helping her from behind.

They sure bought Ju Hye In's land and are now playing us.

All the more reason why we can't give it up.

Are you going to let Logan Lee take the center of Cheonsu District?

Stop it!

Logan Lee, that bastard, didn't he come back to see you?

If he did,

you would've been notified.

Do you know how many security guards you have on me?

Did he really have feelings for Sim Su Ryeon?

He's been sticking like a leech interfering with all my plans.

But you can't just kill him.

I heard he's a rich man from America.

Sim Su Ryeon, that woman,

dead or alive,

is such a persistent woman.

Don't you think?

I'll call you tomorrow.

The quantity of A and B—

Accelerated High School Math

Seok Hun

It's me.

Is it really you, Ro Na?

Where are you?

Seok Hun.

Ro Na.

It's been about a week since I woke up.

They said I was talking nonsense for a while.

I had three surgeries that required my head to be opened up.

They say for me to be alive and talking like this

is a miracle.

I see. It's such a relief.

I thought you really died.

Who brought you here? Did you contact your mom?

No.

Why not?

She'll be so happy when she finds out you're alive. Let's call her right now.

I can't yet.

But it won't take long.

Before that, I have something to tell you.

That's why I called you.

What is it?

The person who made me like this.

By any chance...

Is it my Dad?

I so hoped it wasn't him.

I desperately hoped it wasn't. Why—?

Why does he keep taking away people I care about?

Why the hell?

I can never forgive him.

Seok Hun.

I'm going to kill him.

Seok Hun.

Mom?

Ajumma saved me.

M- M- Mom.

Seok Hun.

Mom.

I missed you, Seok Hun.

Mom, I missed you so much.

My son.

Cheon Seo Jin suggested helping each other.

Seeing how she confessed her wrongdoings,

I think she's sincere and can be trusted to a certain extent.

We can use Cheon Seo Jin for our benefit.

She's already cornered, so there's nowhere for her to run.

I'm meeting Na Ae Gyo tomorrow to proceed with the contract.

Do you think it's okay to give her the land so easily?

Give it to her just the way she wants.

If it lands in Ju Dan Tae's hands, everything is done for.

Don't tell me. Do you still trust Na Ae Gyo?

She even deleted the wire tapping app.

We don't know where she is and what she will do anymore.

Do you think, without a plan,

I would've put that land up for sale?

I have a plan.

How much?

Fifty million won.

Get it ready in cash by tomorrow.

Are you joking?

Who has that much money in cash?

If you don't, you can make it and bring it to me.

Take mortgate out on your building, or sell your diamonds,

or even steal your mother's money,

you are capable of raising that kind of money.

If not, Eun Byeol's safety

can't be guaranteed.

I need it by noon tomorrow.

I'm in a bit of hurry.

Do that for me, will you?

Sales Contract of Real Estate Seller: Oh Yun Hui Buyer: Na Ae Gyo

Yes, I'll check it.

I appreciate your effort for meeting the deadline, honey.

The full balance was just transferred to you through wire.

Ah, yes. You managed such a large amount of money in one day. You're incredible.

Madam, you are very lucky.

At this price, you're really getting the best deal that there is.

Congratulations.

Can you leave us for a moment?

Of course. Since the remaining balance is paid off,

you two can take your time and talk.

I'll organize the contracts and return them to you.

You just earned a lot of money. Why the long face?

You look as though you really don't want to sell the land.

It's the land that Su Ryeon cared for.

I'm upset it's going to trashy people like you folks.

It's over now that you've got your money.

What's the point of your allegiance to a dead person?

I almost fell for it.

Don't you feel sorry for Su Ryeon for even a bit?

She took your children in as her own and raised them for seventeen years.

What shady things have you been doing pretending that you are her?

What's your relationship with CEO Jeong Du Man?

What weakness do you have on him that he turned over all the information about the redevelopment?

Are you curious?

But what can I do?

To someone who wiretapped my phone

and invaded my privacy, I really can't tell anything.

You. You look like someone who would stab me in the back.

You have the face of a traitor.

Why? Guilty?

Your guilt for dead Sim Su Ryeon isn't the motive for your payback.

Rather, you're ticked off because Ju Dan Te betrayed you.

I know too well you'll run to him anytime when he beckons you.

You know how scrupulous the man is. Yet you fell for him because of his wealth and manners.

Did you want his penthouse that badly?

You got jealous of Sim Su Ryeon for what she had. How dare you think you can advise me?

Don't you see? How brutally I'm getting punished for it?

What else do you expect me to do when I lost my child?

Tell me the way to redeem myself. Whether you want me to die or kill, I will.

I am curious, though.

You were with her when Sim Su Ryeon died.

Then you surely heard.

What was her last word when Sim Su Ryeon died? Anything?

She didn't leave any word for you. So no need to get your curiosity piqued.

She must've said something for her children. When they ask me later,

I feel obliged to tell them at least what their mother's last word for them.

After all, she was the mother who raised them.

She said to run.

To run?

She said, "Go. Hurry and run."

As worthless as I am, she cared enough to tell me to run.

I betrayed her and even had the sadistic hope of her dying. Yet she told me to run.

Yes, what you say is right.

We are the same leeches sucking on Su Ryeon's blood. No need to blame each other.

Each of us deserves the life of waiting on divine punishment.

Oh Yun Hui!

Consider yourself gone mad, and do you want to try trusting me?

I have a fantastic plan to finish off Ju Dan Te with one blow.

What did you just say?

You did say you wanted a revenge on him. Do what you like.

All I care is getting his money.

In return, you can't tell a soul about my existence.

How does that sound? Deal?

No, thanks. I don't trust you either.

What about this as collateral?

You've got to protect your girl, no matter what you must do.

Because you are her mother.

Turning vicious for the sake of her child is what a mother does.

There's nothing she can't do for her child.

If you change your mind, let me know. Golden Realty CEO: Hwang Geum Bong

You've got to protect your girl no matter what you must do, because you're her mother.

Turning vicious for the sake of her child is what a mother does.

There's nothing she can't do for her child.

Eonnie!

Eonnie! Eonnie Su Ryeon! Sis!

Eonnie Su Ryeon! Sis!

Sis! Look at me, please! Eonnie Su Ryeon!

Sis! Eonnie! Eonnie.

Eonnie.

She said to run. To hurry and run.

Housekeeper Ahn

- Hello, Mrs. Ahn. Is there a problem? - Ma'am.

The Chairman took the kids into his study again. What shall I do?

Who are you?

Na Ae Gyo? What are you doing here?

What if Ju Dan Te sees you? I'm in a hurry. The kids are in danger again.

Precisely that's why I'm here. I'll go to the penthouse.

Are you joking? Didn't I tell you everything on the phone earlier?

The kids are locked up in his study.

Who knows what that lunatic Ju Dan Te will do to them?

Hence why I'm going in. A mad dog must be dealt by another mad dog.

I'm in no state of mind to be chatting with you.

If anything happens to the kids, I'll die.

Let me go.

I want to see my kids.

I'm leaving Korea soon never to return again.

I'm running to where Ju Dan Te can never find me again.

So do me a favor.

Let me see my kids for one last time.

Be careful not to get caught. He's full of suspicion.

Wait a moment.

The flight leaves at eight tonight heading for America.

You'll be met by Logan Lee at the airport. Leave with him.

You can trust him, and he'll protect you in a safe place.

- What about you then? - I've got to stay with the kids.

Thanks for everything, Sim Su Ryeon, for letting me live as you.

If anything happens to me,

I will scream for you to run.

If I do, you never look back and just run.

You've got to take care of my Seok Hun and Seok Gyeong.

After all, you're their real mother.

Seok Hun! Seok Gyeong!

How could you—

Chairman, are you in he—?

Eonnie.

Eonnie!

Eonnie, I'll get an ambulance quick. Hang tight for a moment.

I can't. I can't hear you.

Run from Ju Dan Te.

Eonn—

A murder at the penthouse? How something like that can happen at Hera Palace?

- Isn't this all a fake? - Is that really Su Ryeon?

What in the world?

- There, isn't that Oh Yun Hui? - Did she really?

Wait, did Oh Yun Hui kill Su Ryeon?

That, that, that crazy wench. Is she even human?

Na Ae Gyo?

Get in!

CEO Jeong Du Man

You've got to take care of my Seok Hun and Seok Gyeong.

After all, you're their real mother.

Thank you, Na Ae Gyo.

I'll avenge even your blood.

More coffee, please. The aroma is even finer than usual.

Enough already. Go easy on her.

Do you think the apron suites her?

Get the helpers back, will you?

I'm fine. I can do this alone.

I won't be eating home anymore.

You don't have to set a separate table for me.

Sit back down. That isn't the table manners I taught you.

In fact, I haven't learned anything from you.

You little punk.

Ju Seok Hun! Stop right there!

You don't have to set mine either.

I might as well try a hard-core diet this time around.

What are you doing? Are you incapable of winning them over?

Can't you do a simple thing like catering to their taste buds?

Care for them as you would your Eun Byeol and see if they won't follow you.

I'll try. It's just that I've never done this before.

Once I get used to managing the household, I'll get the hang of it.

Cheon Seo Jin, Miss High and Mighty is acting all docile suddenly. I wonder why.

What changed your mind?

If you promise to stay away from Eun Byeol, I'll do my best to cooperate with you.

Acting happy isn't that hard.

I won't see Eun Byeol without your permission.

Do you really mean all that?

Just let Ha Yun Cheol take the sole blame for Ro Na's death.

If you do, I'll hand over to you even Cheong Ah Medical as you wish.

I'll think about it.

Thank you.

See, Cheon Seo Jin? That's it.

What a beautiful thing it is to acknowledge your loss.

Thanks to you, I'm having a good morning.

Go on. Mock me as much as you like.

If I'm to leave here as a corpse, I will just as soon as I kill you.

Did you look into it, huh?

Are you taking your sweet time? Come on, spill it out quick!

I got this secretly from MOLIT (The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport).

It's true Cheonsu District is getting developed in high confidentiality.

When?

As soon as within this week, they'll announce the development.

Within this week? That fast?

But anyway, who is feeding Ju Dan Te with all the information?

It's CEO Jeong Du Man. Apparently, the two go way back.

Jeong Du Man? He's a totally reliable source of information.

CEO Jeong Du Man politely declined your offer.

What? Isn't this enough for him? Is that it?

By chance, is he implying he's cutting ties with me?

I, Gyu Jin, have come!

Assemblyman Lee, mind your manners, will you?

You don't barge in someone else's house without an appointment in advance. I'm busy now.

Why? Are you rushing to Cheonsu District to buy some more land?

How can I? I've sold all my buildings, and this house is all I have left now.

Don't accuse me of the things I'm innocent of.

Right, you sold all your buildings and put the money in one basket, Cheonsu District.

You gobbled up Number 27 in Cheonsu with your fifty billion plus your minion. That gives me indigestion.

Why didn't you snatch it away with a higher bid? Money makes money, and that's how the world is.

I'm almost hurt.

What happened to the loyalty among us, the Hera Palace residents?

I hear they'll announce the District development this week?

Where did you hear that?

I'm the assemblyman of Gangnam District. I have at least that level of intel.

Come on, Big Bro. Just throw my way a few, good properties.

I'll give you the highest price.

I really want to do that for you.

Jajung Jae. Prudence in your speech, action and carriage.

Tagyeong Takjo. Live free of all worldly dictates.

Ilgeum Ilhak. Live with purity and integrity.

Come on, my dear Assemblyman.

You once went on a hunger strike to protest unfair real estate investment practices.

If people see you salivating over real estate investment,

how cheated would they feel? Don't you need your gold badge anymore?

You're using what I said in private against my sense of public duty. You traitor!

Do you think I can't buy that crappy land without you?

Crappy land?

If you're that confident, go ahead and get it for yourself.

What are you barking at me for?

Okay, fine. You and I go till the end.

I might as well buy off as much land as I can.

I sure hope you don't regret, you money-monger, no, you hoodlum.

You dimwit, nothing like that will ever happen.

The announcement is in two days. The game's already over.

Here. I even sold my son's gold ring given to him on his first birthday.

You've got to show me the land you still have in Cheonsu District.

Whatever is fine. Even a trash site!

If you don't give me anything, I'll penalize and stop your business.

Jeez, how many times do I repeat myself? I really have no more land to show you.

Hence we're at your mercy. Will you do some sweet talking to the land owners, Mr. Hwang?

Mother, not "Mr. Hwang." Try, "Sir, Hwang Geum Bong."

You, zip it up.

I can't give in here.

I'm the visionary who'll buy all the mulberry fields and raise a 15-storey apartment complex!

She's well-known in the industry as the big hand.

We'll be sure to repay you if you sell us good, quality properties.

We'll double your sales commission, okay?

We will!

Oh, my, my, I'm really going nuts.

Swear that you won't tell a soul.

I'm doing this one for you alone.

- What is it? - Gather up.

This is the land where the newest department store will come in.

No one saw you, right? When you are with Golden Real Estate, you become rich.

Rest assured, no worries. I came in through the back door.

So, will the land come available, after all?

This is the land of honey where Myungpum Department Store will come in. A spot like this won't come along easy.

It begs the question though. Why is the owner selling such good land?

She used an excessive amount of private loan.

And her husband found out.

Oh, no, really? How unfortunate for her.

I'm buying it. All of it. Okay?

I hear you have some great land.

These are one-hundred percent pure gold.

They're the certificates that guarantee their purity. Sell me the land. Certificates of Gold Purity

Golden Realty Specializing in Redevelopment and Investment

I've finished all the contracts without a problem and more importantly, at the highest prices.

Here, good job.

Sell them the rest of the land as well.

All the land in my name.

Oh, demand nothing but cash. No exception.

If she'd known the person who killed her was her own birth father...

What, what are you doing now?

Tell her just once with all your sincerity that you're sorry.

Your daughter's gone not ever being cared for as a child should've been. I pity her.

At least, you can do that much, right?

I knew I was pregnant with Ro Na after our breakup.

You were already engaged to Seo Jin, and I couldn't return to you.

I met someone and I married him.

Sure, I told him about the child I was having. Destiny

He was very fond of me.

And he promised to care for my child, too.

But he changed his mind all together when he saw the child that didn't look like him one bit.

Soon he spent more time outside home and ignored my child all together.

I feel sorry for the way Ro Na grew up.

She wasn't loved the way she should have.

No. That just can't be.

How could I not recognize my own child?

It's all a lie. Lie. Lie! Lie!

- Lie! - Hey, hey, Mister.

The proprieties, please. Shall we observe them, okay?

- Hey, Bro. - Are you crazy?

Are you the only one with problems here?

Shut up! A thing like you!

Hey, hey, do you want to die?

Right. Kill me. I can't wait to die.

Teach him a lesson!

Hey, you all, pipe down!

You, damn all of you.

Hit me. Hit me harder!

Damn you punk!

Hey, hey, hey!

Let go!

Damn all of you!

Kill me. Just kill me!

- What the? - You startled me!

What is this? Are you watching the TV in my house?

Don't you have a TV at home?

I'm too nervous to watch it by myself.

It's today, isn't it?

You acted as though you were Oh Yun Hui's best pal, but you wanted to go by yourself.

Right? When it comes to land and money, there's no big sister or little sister.

Yes. I admit it. I admit it.

While experiencing the incident, I felt many things.

You shouldn't be indiscriminately nice to people.

So, I'm making a comeback. To hang out with the old crowd.

- Please be quiet. - Count me in. Oh, yes, I will.

- The news is starting. Turn up the volume. - Yes.

Korea's newest development boom has exploded.

Just a moment ago, the Cheonsu District New Town Plan was announced in a surprise move.

Let's hear from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, himself!

Hello. I am Kim Gi Song , Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

I am here today to—

Wow! Gyu Jin! Bravo!

Coming through!

Guess what this is.

Russo Baltique Vodka!

It's vodka! Guess what!

It costs whopping $1.3 million a bottle!

When you drink something like this, now you're super rich!

Now I am filthy rich!

A surprise announcement of an area redevelopment

is sending shock waves throughout all the relevant industries.

Cheonsu District, a designated area of redevelopment, has been for the last 20 years

Seventy percent of Cheonsu District. named as the last york of Gangnam. Whether it'll be redeveloped or not

has been the source of much speculation and anticipation.

Everything is perfect now.

The surprise nature of the announcement intensifies the level of shock.

The result of consulting how the area should be reconstructed also came out today. [Ju Dan Te Village]

The government increased the percentage of the land usage by changing their purpose.

It also stated lessening of the restrictions are also reflected in the consulting.

Cheonsu District will be reborn as a new hot spot in Gangnam with a large-scale redevelopment.

Through a brand new city that's equipped with homes, convenience, and culture, [Na Ae Gyo]

the government hopes to secure the momentum to facilitate new growth in the 21st century.

With the announcement, the prices of the real estate in the District are expected to soar.

Given the continued interest of many viewers, we'll keep up with our report on our SBC News.

What a surprise! I thought we had no business to see each other.

Who knew I could get your help, Chairman Ju, in my life time?

What are you really getting at with that?

I'd rather not ruin my mood on a good day which is rare for me nowadays.

If you're bored having no one to talk to, go and see your friend in the kitchen.

Apparently, you weren't all that confident about the Cheonsu District redevelopment.

You canceled your contract just a day before the announcement.

- Canceled my contract? - Oh, you didn't know?

To my surprise, Na Ae Gyo contacted me last night to cancel your contract.

It's a much-coveted property. I came to see why you suddenly changed your mind.

What kind of joke is that?

She said she needed fast cash.

Since her need looked so urgent, I didn't even charge her the penalty.

It's better for me this way, though.

Who knew? The windfall of the redevelopment came along out of nowhere.

Who dissolved the contract without my permission? I never agreed.

Oh, no. Could this mean, by any chance, Na Ae Gyo conned you?

Apparently, you trusted Na Ae Gyo a good deal. Dissolution of a Real Estate Sales Contract

Enough to trust her with your everything. That's not like you. Seller: Oh Yun Hui Buyer: Na Ae Gyo

Golden Real Estate

Buyer: Na Ae Gyo

Have you lost it? What possessed you to sell my land?

Why is it your land? As long as it's in my name, it's mine.

So, is this your true color?

I was right. You've been meaning to betray me since two years ago.

Crazy? Why did you do something like this? Why? I trusted you all the way.

I've got to get paid for the years I lived as Sim Su Ryeon.

Blind trust in you won't get me anywhere. I've got to have something for myself.

Where is my money? What the hell did you do with it?

You fool. Do you think I'll open my mouth?

Golden Realty

Let go!

Get in quick before I crush your face!

Damn it, get her!

Damn it, don't lose them!

DANGER

Why did you come? What if you get caught?

They're already hot on your tail to kill you!

Doesn't matter. I'll stand by you even in my death.

Push me away if you'd like. But I won't go away.

What's matter with you?

What if something bad happens to you because of me?

Something bad was precisely what happened to Na Ae Gyo because of me.

I'm not interested in anything else.

Except keeping you safe.

Go on with your payback as you planned it.

What was your motive to kill young Bae Ro Na?

Did you kill her purposely because she was the archrival of your birth daughter?

Did you do it upon the request of your real daughter?

What was the reason?

Sweetie, Daddy's here.

Dad.

Dad! Dad!

Dad! Dad!

Dad!

Dad!

Yes, it's me.

Tonight?

I'll get ready and wait for you.

She hasn't returned to the mountain villa.

You idiot. If you were her, would you have returned there?

- The airport? - The guys are out there.

Don't lose her. No matter what. If you do, you die in my own hands.

That idiot.

Your call cannot be connected and is being directed to voice messaging.

Pick up your damn phone.

What's taking you so long? I asked for the wine a while ago.

Who are you looking for the way you do?

Who is Na Ae Gyo?

Why? Are you going to find her for me?

Drink slowly, or you'll get drunk.

Stop pestering me. Out of my sight!

What the—? Seriously. Your call cannot be connected at this time...

Damn it.

The mountain villa and the airport are fully surrounded by Ju Dan Te's men.

I expected this.

Come with the money to the storage by 10 p.m., if you don't want to die. Ju Dan Te

The time has come.

Everything will work out fine.

No worries.

Hello?

Ju Dan Te is going to kill me.

Please help.

Here is...

Here is... No.

How's your stomach?

What happened yesterday?

You drank so fast that you got drunk.

Do you want some soup for your stomach?

No need. I just have a splitting headache.

Funny, why can't I remember anything? I didn't drink that much.

Where is my cell phone? It wasn't in my room.

I haven't seen it. Shall I try calling?

It's an arrest warrant.

Dan Te!

Don't step on this.

Dan Te!

Dan Te! Dan Te!

Don't step on that either.

You're Ju Dan Te, right?

I am.

You're under arrest for a murder and desecration of a human corpse. Arrest him.

What gibberish is that?

Just who did I kill? Are you folks crazy?

Na Ae Gyo was killed last night.

Is Na Ae Gyo dead?

You've got to come with us to the station for now.

Wait.

Dan Te! What's happening?

You, killing a person? How can that be?

He's a gentle person. He can't even kill a bug. Something's wrong!

Let go!

Alright then, can you tell us where Ju Dan Te was last night?

You know well I came home early and slept through. Tell them!

I'm not certain of that because we use the seperate rooms.

Except that he drank a lot and was in an agitated state,

oh, he kept making calls looking for someone.

Who was it?

Well, he said it was Na Ae Gyo.

What a crazy—. Have you gone mad? Get your hands off me!

I didn't kill her. Never. Show me the evidence, or I won't even take one step.

Get me Lawyer Jeong. Get him here.

We've found this.

Gloves that didn't get burnt all the way and shoes.

Confisticate them as evidence.

I'm not the one. I've never seen those.

In the morning, from the front door,

I saw a series of the footprints and thought it strange.

Did you really kill her?

The woman who was the birth mother your children?

You...

How did you know Na Ae Gyo?

Come on, let's go.

The cameras captured your vehicle in front of the storage and at the crematorium.

You ran over the victim to death and then carried her to the crematorium and burnt her, correct?

The owner of the crematorium, after getting money from you,

testified that he let you use his facility anonymously.

I have never done something like that. Don't you hear?

I'm going crazy here.

I drank last night and fell asleep in my own bedroom, for sure.

When I didn't take one step outside home, how could I kill a person?

If you don't trust me, ask my wife, Cheon Seo Jin.

She said she couldn't confirm your alibi.

What- what- did you say?

That woman is lying. I swear, I'm innocent.

All of you are getting fooled by some ridiculous scheme.

I swear I never visited some storage, much less a crematorium.

If you doubt me, check the CCTV cameras at Hera Palace.

See if you can see me leaving home at night.

What was the approximate time you spotted the muddy footprints in the hallway?

I saw them on my way to collect the morning newspaper.

It was probably around five in the morning.

That only means he left the house at night.

What's strange is the CCTV cameras at Hera Palace

do not show your husband leaving home after 8 p.m.

By any chance, is there another exit?

We're talking about a murder here.

I need you to testify truthfully.

What is this place for?

This is where he punishes the kids.

I myself came to know this recently because it hasn't been that long that I married him.

Take pictures of the inside.

Yes, sir.

And this

leads to the pathway out without going through the Hera Palace water fountain.

Inside is an elevator that leads directly to the parking lot.

That means it's probable that he could've used this passage.

Call the Team Captain and let him know we've found the secret passage.

Yes, sir.

He might be hiding some important clues in here. Run a thorough search.

Here's something.

It's an urn.

What in the world? That's absurd!

Send it immediately to National Forensic Service for human debris and its DNA.

- Yes, sir. - How terrible.

Okay.

The news is human remnants are found in the study of your penthouse.

Human remnants?

What crazy talk is this?

Why would I have human remains in my house?

You swore to kill Na Ae Gyo. I have a witness for that.

What witness? I slept through the day. Who witnessed me doing what?

I'm the witness.

I heard him clearly when he said he'd kill Na Ae Gyo.

Oh Yun Hui!

What's this shitty nonsense?

I met Chairman Ju in his penthouse yesterday afternoon.

He was enraged with Na Ae Gyo.

I got so startled by the look of his eyes I thought I should record him.

Did you, did you dare to run with my money?

I'm going to kill you, Na Ae Gyo!

You have a clear motive for the murder, and all the circumstantial evidence point at you. Do you still deny?

Oh Yun Hui, you bitch.

Search the place top to bottom.

Yes, sir.

Hey, remove this.

I did wrong. I did wrong.

Relax. We're police.

Relax, relax, we're police.

What's your name?

I'm Sim Su Ryeon.

Are you being locked up here?

How long have you been in here?

What date is it today?

He lost money, he got betrayed, and he became a murderer.

I won't let you be lonely in jail.

What wrong have we done?

It's time for you to reap what you sowed.

File for a divorce right away.
