Since we knew the answer
to one of the codes

was "Whitestone Gap," we could search

for any published works
that reference that name,

and there weren't many.

One of them was from a book

and that is how he
solved his first code.

But when we tried it
with the other two codes,

all we got was wet horses
and German bread.
