Like you had to be Abe Lincoln

could be the challenge

of raising a child
all by yourself..."

"Or the daily production

"and distribution
of a newspaper...

"Or running a pharmacy

with nothing but your intuition
to guide you."

"Or being given a firetruck

"and entrusted with the safety
and well-being

of an entire town."

"A truly great life
is filled with love and family

"and those pivotal moments
that we get to share.

"And Christmas
is when we come together

"to honor those blessings.

"I humbly offer a replacement
Kern holiday festival,

in front of the town hall,

"so we may continue to celebrate
