Xian is bullying me.

Yuan.

Yuan.

These lotus seeds are not edible.

Lotus seeds are not edible?

Not all lotus seeds.

Only these ones.

These lotus seeds

grow in the soil of the Burial Mounds.

It's the best thing to shield people from evil.

So come, give me your hands.

You can carry it with you,

but you can never eat them.

Do you understand?

Good boy.

Go play with madam.

Yuan, play over here.

What is this?

An invitation letter from a disciple of the Jin Clan.

I got it when I went downhill.

It's blank.

YOUNG MASTER JIN AND LADY JIANG'S CHILD WILL HAVE A FIRST-MONTH CELEBRATION

WEI WUXIAN IS INVITED

FROM LAN WANGJI

Qing, what is it? Is there something wrong?

Wei Wuxian.

What's wrong?

You can go meet your sister.

LINGBAO PAVILION

The Jin Clan

has come across a series of happy events.

Young Master Jin Rulan is about one month old.

The entire Jin Clan is all over the moon.

I hear His Excellency wants to set up lookouts around the land.

Lookouts?

Recently, several clans are arguing over this.

Is there an agreement?

What is to argue over?

I think the lookout is a great idea.

On one hand,

it can monitor situations from place to place.

On the other hand, it can pass messages immediately.

I don't know what they are arguing about.

I don't think so.

What if

it would become another Wen Clan Supervisory Office?

Are the two the same?

The Jin Clan is only in charge of building lookouts.

They are managed by all clans.

Be that as it may, managing it jointly will eventually turn into

the Jin Clang of Lanling managing it alone.

I hear the idea was proposed by Jin Guangyao.

Even if Red Blade Master disagrees with building lookouts,

he is supposed to attend the first-month celebration of Jin Zixuan's son.

This first-month celebration is really spectacular and influential.

All the clans are coming.

Did you hear about it?

Yes, I heard that.

I've also attended his first-week celebration.

That child grasped his father's Suihua

among a bunch of different swords,

which thrilled his parents.

At that time, people were saying that the child

must be an incredible sword master in the future.

The Jin Clan of Lanling is indeed rich.

The first-week celebration of an infant is such a grand occasion.

Don't you see who his parents are?

They had to take it seriously.

Let alone Young Madam Jin's husband, who is unwilling to arrange it casually,

her mother-in-law and brother

won't be satisfied if it is any less grand.

I think this first-month celebration

will be more extravagant.

That's right.

Young Madam Jin is so lucky.

She must have given up her ascension in her previous life

to deserve such fortune in this life.

It seems that among all sorts of fortunes,

having a rich family is the best.

Young Madam Jin herself is not quite impressive though.

Do you know that

it is said that a special person is invited to this first-month celebration?

-Who? -Who?

Wei Wuxian.

-Wei Wuxian. -How could it be him?

-Wei Wuxian. -I don't know what on earth

the Jin Clan is thinking about.

What Wei Wuxian did in Qiongqi Way...

Did they all forget about it?

Tell me about it.

How could the Jin Clan

invite such a person in Jin Ling's first-month celebration?

Who would dare attend it?

I won't attend it anyway.

I won't go either. You can go if you like.

Excuse me,

I want this.

Right.

He is a total bane.

Yes.

It is unknown what disaster is going to happen.

Loquats!

Fresh loquats!

Young Master, have you bought it?

It's so beautiful!

I'm telling you,

these pretty little trinkets aren't cheap.

The money your sister gave me

has been used up anyway.

We can expect a scolding when we get back.

No.

You used the money to buy gifts for Lady Jiang's child.

Qing won't blame you for that.

It's you who said it.

If she scolds me when we get back,

could you shield me from her?

Little Jin Ling

will definitely like the little gift very much.

Listen,

this isn't the gift I'm giving him.

It's only a small accessory.

Besides, in a place like Lingbao Pavilion,

except for meretricious things,

what else do they have?

Young Master, what gift did you prepare then?

Such powerful beads.

Young Master,

Is this what you've been working on

for better part of the month in Demon-subdue Palace

day and night?

That's right.

As long as my nephew puts this on,

low-level hobgoblins, demons, ghosts, and monsters

can never get close to him.

Don't touch it.

I assume if you touch it, you'll get hurt too.

I can feel that.

But Young Master,

now that you will attend the first-month celebration of Young Master Jin Ling,

when you see the husband of Lady Jiang,

please control your emotions

and don't be in conflict with him.

Don't worry.

I know my place.

Since the peacock has invited me,

I will not speak ill of him for a year.

When I saw the invitation from the Jin Clan of Lanling,

I thought there were tricks.

Now it seems I got them wrong.

In fact, Young Master Jin is a good man.

What's more, Second Young Master Lan will be there.

I never thought we would be back here.

So did I.

Do you feel anything strange?

No. But it's too quiet.

It is too quiet.

Go.

Who are you?

Wei Wuxian,

I'm warning you!

Lift the evil spell on me at once!

Then I can pretend that nothing happened

and forgive your past misdeeds.

What evil spell?

Are you still pretending?

All right.

Then I will let you see

what on earth the evil spell is.

The Hundred Holes Curse?

Exactly.

The Hundred Holes Curse.

The Hundred Holes Curse was cast on you.

Why are you coming for me?

It's none of my business.

Except you,

who else is a master of wicked tricks?

Who else would cast a malicious spell

on me?

I don't even remember who you are.

Why should I bother to cast an evil spell on you?

Besides, I never use those insidious tricks.

If I want to kill a person,

I will tell the world

that this man will die in my hands.

Furthermore, if I really want you to die,

you will get an ending a thousand times more miserable.

Aren't you being too arrogant?

What?

Are you denying what you did?

It's not me.

Why would I accept your accusation?

I am courteous before the use of force.

Since you are not willing to correct your mistake,

I will not let you go easily.

What do you want to do?

Since you don't want to untie the evil spell on me,

I'll have to kill you.

Kill me?

Can you?

Can they?

Now that you want to die,

I am not the one to blame.

Shoot.

Wei Wuxian,

this is the price for your arrogance.

Without a sword,

I'll see what you can do.

JIN RULAN

Give it back.

Is this the gift that you will give to the child?

Do you really think

you can attend his first-month celebration?

Stop, both of you!

Zixuan, what are you doing here?

You know what I'm doing here.

Where is Jin Guangyao?

He's in Carp Tower.

If it weren't for Yao who told me that something was wrong,

you would really mess it up and hide it from everyone.

The Hundred Holes Curse was cast on you.

Why do you hide it from me

and do something like this furtively?

Zixuan,

please keep it a secret from Yanli for a while.

After I get the spell lifted off me,

I will make an official apology to you.

There is still room for common ground.

Both of you, stop it.

How can you reach common ground under these circumstances?

Don't you see the things on me?

I have heard it from Yao.

Since you have heard it from him,

you should understand that I can't wait.

Just because he is the younger brother of Yanli?

So for Yanli,

you can ignore the life of your cousin?

You know well that I am not that kind of person.

Besides,

the Hundred Holes Curse on you was not necessarily cast by him.

Why are you so anxious?

I invited Wei Wuxian to attend my child's first-month celebration,

yet you behave like this.

What place do you put me into?

What place do you put my wife into?

It's best that he can't attend.

He is nothing but trash.

Who is he to attend our family banquet?

Those who touch him get themselves in dirty waters.

Zixuan, you invited him here today.

Aren't you afraid your family

will have an indelible stain from here until the rest of their lives?

Shut up!

Wei Wuxian, that's enough!

Stop Wen Ning

from being crazy first.

Don't make the situation worse.

Why don't you stop them first?

Why are you acting so tough right now?

Both of you, cool down.

Follow me to Carp Tower.

Justify yourself clearly and argue.

As long as you didn't do that,

you'll be okay.

Stop?

As soon as I tell Wen Ning to stop,

I will be shot by thousands of arrows and die with a broken body.

How can I argue with you in Carp Tower then?

That will never happen.

Never?

How can you assure that?

Jin Zixuan.

I have a question.

When you invited me,

were you really unaware of their plan to kill me?

You...

Wei Wuxian, are you crazy?

Jin Zixuan,

get out of my way.

I won't touch you,

but you have to do the same.

Jin Zixuan.

I'm warning you.

Don't come any closer.

Wei Wuxian,

why can't you give up your ego for once?

Don't you know

Li is...

Li... She

is still

waiting for you to attend

our child's first-month...

Shoot!

Shoot!

Young Master Jin was killed by Wen Ning!

Go!

Report to the Clan Leader!

-Young Master Jin. -Young Master Jin was killed by Wen Ning!

Young Master Jin.

Good boy.

Why haven't they arrived yet?

They should have been here a while ago.

Maybe they got stopped by something on the way.

Don't be anxious.

Let's wait.

Where is Jin Guangyao?

Jin Guangyao?

How should I know?

Maybe he arranged some myrmidons to cancel the banquet.

Why are you asking about him?

Has Wei Ying arrived yet?

No.

Hanguang Jun,

what happened?

-Young Master Jin Guangyao. -Hanguang Jun.

why did the disciples our clan that my brother brought here

follow Jin Zixun to leave Carp Tower?

Where did they go?

Do you know that?

Hanguang Jun,

calm down.

Zixun headed to Qiongqi Way.

But he hasn't gone that far.

Zixuan rushed there too.

-Presumably-- -It's terrible!

It's terrible!

Lianfang Zun!

What happened?

Lianfang Zun.

The Ghost General killed people.

What?

Say it clearly.

The Heir of the Clan Leader was killed by the Ghost General.

Yanli.

Yanli.

You can't control it.

We've been waiting for this day.

We've been waiting for this day for too long.

You can't control it.

We've been waiting for this day for too long.

Wei Wuxian.

Wei Wuxian.

Wei Wuxian.

Who did you kill?

Do you know who you killed?

Xian.

Yuan, don't cry.

I'll take you out to play.

You can kill anyone else.

But why did you kill Jin Zixuan?

Why?

You killed Jin Zixuan.

What should Yanli do now?

What should Yanli do now?

What should I do?

Yuan, don't cry.

Later, I will take you

to make a big butterfly, okay?

Hush.

Yuan, don't cry.

Don't cry.

These years,

why did I confine myself in the Burial Mounds?

Why did I choose this path

and put myself in this situation?

Am I crazy?

Sorry.

Sorry, it's all my fault.

Sorry.

Was that his fault?

He changed into this.

Is this his fault?

Who can tell me?

What on earth should I do?

What on earth should I do?

Who can tell me?

You...

Sorry.

What did you do to me?

When you woke up just now,

we were discussing something.

We have almost reached an agreement.

Discuss what?

Cut the crap.

Pull the needle out!

Qing and I have already discussed it.

We will go to Carp Tower

and ask for punishment.

Ask for punishment?

What kind of punishment?

You're going to carry a rod and ask to be spanked? Surrender yourself to justice?

When you were unconscious,

the Jin Clan of Lanling

has sent people to pass messages.

What?

Don't tell me only after I scold you.

Make it clear.

The Jin Clan of Lanling wants your account on this matter.

According to them,

as long as you hand the two of us over,

it will be over for the moment.

Please lie down for another few days.

The needle will lose its effect in three days.

I have told the others

to take good care of you.

Nonsense.

Did I ask you to do this?

Pull the needle out immediately!

The evil spell on Jin Zixun was not cast by me.

It wasn't me.

But they affirmed it's you.

Wen Qing,

the general countermeasure of an evil spell

is to cast it back

to the spell caster.

For the moment,

we only need to find the person

who has a trace of the rebounded evil spell.

I definitely don't have it.

It won't work.

Why not?

Among the massive crowd,

where can we find him?

Are we going to set up roadblocks

on every road in every city

and force everyone to take their clothes off for an inspection?

Why can't it work?

No one is willing to set up roadblocks for you.

And how long will it take?

Maybe eight or ten years.

But are they willing to wait?

But I don't

have a trace of the rebounded evil spell.

Today, during their assault,

did they ask you about it?

No.

Right,

they didn't ask

and wanted to kill you directly.

Do you get it?

They don't need proof

or the truth from you.

It doesn't matter

whether you have the trace.

You are the Yiling Patriarch,

master of wicked tricks.

So it's not strange even if you don't have it.

Also, small things like casting a spell

don't require your action.

You just can't deny it.

In this case,

it doesn't matter

who cast the spell.

What's important is that

people in Qiongqi Way

and

Jin Zixuan

were indeed killed by Ning.

But

if someone has to go, it should be me.

I was the one who controlled Wen Ning

and turned him into a puppet.

I made him kill people.

The murderer is the one who should go,

not his knife.

Wei Ying,

we all know

that Wen Ning is the knife,

and that makes them scared.

But he is also the knife they use as an excuse to attack you.

If we go,

there will be no knife.

And they won't

have an excuse anymore.

The case may be closed like that.

But do you understand

the consequence of going to Carp Tower?

Aren't you the one who cherishes Wen Ning the most?

Whatever the consequence is,

we deserve it.

Thinking about this,

we should have died a long time ago.

These past few weeks

have been a gift to us.

Wen Qing,

help me up.

I've said what I had to say,

and I've made myself clear.

I'm also saying goodbye.

Well then,

farewell.

No.

Wen Qing.

I didn't tell you this before.

But today,

something needs to be said

because I might not

get another chance.

No.

Sorry

and

thank you.

The last dregs of the Wen Clan

killed my son and the disciples of the Lan Clan.

They deserve capital punishment.

Today, the Jin Clan of Lanling

shall grind your bones to dust.

PAGEANT HALL

ZIXUAN OF JIN CLAN

Xian.

Yanli!

Xian.

Yanli!

Xian, come out.

Let's go home together.

Where are you?

No one blames you.

Sorry

and

thank you.

No.

No.

No.
