I just feel regret.

Regret what?

Marrying you.

Why do you say that?

[Rong'er.]

[Pingsai has fallen.]

[Master and his family are at stake now.]

[Don't blame me.]

[This is the only way I can protect you.]

Do you mean what you said?

Yes.

You want to divorce me?

-Yes. -Alright.

Since you already said so,

I think I've troubled you long enough.

Now, the only thing I can do for you is

to obey your command and have a divorce.

But this matter must be reported to His Majesty first.

I don't want to disturb you anymore, so I shall head back to Fu Residence.

Send the divorce letter it to me once it's ready.

[Ju Shui Pavilion]

Young Master.

Duke Su has already discovered your identity.

It's fine.

Since Nong Nong and Xu Jin

are already at odds

because of Ruyi Pavilion.

Find an opportunity to eliminate Xiao Wu.

Understood.

[Fu Residence]

Rong'er.

Why did you come back at this time?

Did you have an argument with Duke Su?

Even if you did, you can't just return to your mother's home out of anger.

That's not it, don't worry.

His Highness has some matters to attend to so he needs to leave the capital.

Duke Su's Residence is too big, I feel lonely staying there alone.

Also, since I am homesick,

His Highness allowed me to return home.

Really?

But that's not how the rules go.

Rules are rigid, but people are flexible.

Furthermore, His Highness already agreed. What can other people say?

Even so,

don't stay here for too long.

-That's right. -To avoid people from talking.

The recent case about Zhenbei General absconding

has already become the talk of the town.

Father.

Will Zhenbei General's incident

involve His Highness?

As long as His Highness does not plead for the general,

then everything should be fine.

Rong'er..

Why are you suddenly drinking in the middle of the night?

I know you don't drink

so just accompany me for a bit.

Rong'er.

Tell me the truth.

Did you fight with Duke Su?

Who's fighting with him?

I didn't fight with him.

He's an idiot. A liar.

Not saying anything and bearing all the burden.

He even used my trick against me.

If you drink too fast, you'll get drunk.

I won't.

Do you remember Mr Yao?

The one that Mother and Father arranged for you to meet,

but you ran away in the middle of it?

He's getting married soon.

Coincidentally,

his wife's surname is also Fu.

Those who get married are idiots.

Then why did you get married?

What do you mean?

The blue mountain is not at all old, it is white-haired because of snow.

The green pond is actually care-free, its wrinkles are added by the breeze.

Marriage?

No.

When you like someone,

You will be happy for him and worry for him.

You want the best for him, you want him to be happy.

But you never thought about what he needs.

I've made this mistake before.

And His Highness is also making the same mistake.

The blue mountain is not at all old,

it is white-haired because of snow.

The green pond is actually care-free,

its wrinkles are added by the breeze.

Rong'er.

Rong'er.

Xiao Bai.

Your Highness.

-Why are you here? -Why are you here?

I need to digest my meal, so I took a walk.

I happened to pass by too.

Your Highness.

Where are you heading?

To settle something.

Does it have anything to do with Zhenbei General?

Your Highness, I shall accompany you.

If you really want to help me,

then please take care of Fu Residence.

Understood.

These few days,

you had to stay in the palace for a while.

Thank you, Your Highness.

But

you secretly took us out.

Although the imitator

did not leave the room due to sickness

but Brother Rui is nowhere to be found

so those guards will find out sooner or later.

Mrs Dou.

I want to prove Master's innocence

before father discovers it.

Your Highness.

You have to believe in Master.

Believe in me.

-Your Highness. -Your Highness.

The preparation outside Dou Residence is done.

If there is any movement,

we will immediately get Mrs Dou and Brother Rui to leave.

Your Highness.

You asked us to take Mrs Dou out tonight.

In the morning, you drove Concubine Rong away.

Was that on purpose?

I'm just worried about Her Highness' safety.

I already sent someone to watch over her.

This way,

she can be safe.

That's right, as you said,

the previous Ms Fu was unrefined

when she had her meals.

Thinking about her position now, this is such a...

Isn't that right?

She really got me tongue-tied.

You guys were not there.

If you guys were there...

I don't want to talk about it anymore.

I really can't figure it out

why my parents

wanted to set me up with her.

Even though she is pretty,

but her behaviour

-really doesn't interest me. -You're getting married soon.

- Don't talk about it anymore. - That's right.

This Ms Fu is much better that the other Ms Fu.

-Who? -Who did that?

Your Highness, Uncle San wishes to see you.

Over here!

You can't find me.

Brother Xiao Qi.

Dou Dou.

Brother Xiao Qi.

Such a pretty person.

That's enough, Xiao Qi has important things to do.

Don't bother him, Dou Dou.

Come, let's play over there.

This place is...

This is where I grew up.

Come with me.

Xiao Shi.

Uncle San.

Concubine Rong is here.

This is Xiao Shi.

This is Uncle San.

Greetings, Your Highness.

No need to be polite.

Miss, you didn't touch up

before coming here?

To mark the occasion?

Do not ask where the hero came from.

Same applies to these items.

If you wish to buy it, then take it.

If not, put it down.

Don't ask too much.

This is to avoid the Ghost Market's taboo.

You are the stall owner of Ghost Market at Weiyang?

So you two already know each other.

That's good.

Uncle San.

This is Duke Su's concubine,

Young Lady Fu Rong.

Ms Liu's only disciple.

Since we've met,

means it's destiny.

I invited you here today

in hopes that you can assist us

in finding the Ruyi token.

I need to confirm something.

When I secretly followed Master to Jichang City,

Mount Tai's landslide had caused a lot of casualties.

Was it

caused by Master?

-My lady. -My lady.

What are you talking about?

Ms Liu wouldn't do such a thing.

Liu Ru Yi has found a very good disciple.

She trusted you with all her heart.

She even...

She even gave you the Ruyi Bracelet.

Did you know?

As long as you wear the Ruyi Bracelet,

whenever you're in danger,

the people of the Pavilion

will have to protect you with their lives.

But you have no trust

towards your own master,

towards Ruyi Pavilion.

If that's how is it

this meeting is pointless.

My lady.

Did you know

that in this place,

Xiao Qi, Xiao Ba, myself

and others

all grew up here.

If it wasn't for Ms Liu

all of us would never have survived.

Every child here was adopted by Ms Liu?

Mistress said when she was young, she drifted from place to place.

So she hoped that she could

help the homeless children

who were suffering from various disasters.

So that they didn't have to spend a lifetime of suffering.

Here, not only do we have warm clothes to wear,

we also have food to eat.

Mistress will also called for some teachers

for those who want to study

and those who want to learn martial arts.

Every kid is able to grow up happily here.

When you're old enough, you may leave.

But we willingly decided to stay by mistress' side.

Why did Master not tell me this?

Mistress knows that there are pros and cons of information trade.

Even though the purpose is pure,

some things can't be controlled with information trade.

She probably worried that you would be skeptical,

so she didn't tell you.

I shouldn't have doubted her.

My lady.

You are not such a wary person.

What made you doubt Ms Liu?

Do you guys know Xiao Wu?

He was the one who told me everything.

He was also the one who told me

that Master was behind Mount Tai's landslide.

Why did Xiao Wu say that?

Could it be that he was bribed?

It's okay.

Don't be scared.

Don't be afraid.

Uncle San.

Stop fighting.

Your Highness.

You're fine?

Who are you?

Who are you guys?

They are...

They are my friends.

Wait, why didn't you ask first

before attacking?

I thought you were in danger.

How would I explain to...

Still trying to cover up?

You think that I don't know that His Highness sent you?

Anyway, how is Zhenbei General?

His Highness only said that he has matters to attend to.

He didn't specify on the subject.

He just requested for me to look after Fu Residence.

Not saying anything

and carrying all the burden.

Little Marquis, you've seen it, right?

They are all my friends.

They are good in martial arts. So I am safe.

You can wait for me outside.

Understood.

Please take care of yourself.

What business did His Highness have?

Uncle San.

We went to General Dou's residence last night.

Mrs Dou and the general's grandson were not in the residence.

Only someone who looks like Mrs Dou.

Why were you guys there?

You may not know

but Uncle San and Zhenbei General are sworn friends.

Uncle San came to the capital,

firstly, due to Ruyi Pavilion.

Secondly, because of Zhenbei General.

We believe that Duke Su has something to do with this.

He was the one who took Mrs Dou and the grandson

out of the residence.

[Is that why His Highness pushed me away?]

[He doesn't want me to get involved.]

We received news.

There is a mole in Dayu

who provided Xuan Han with our defense map.

That's why the enemy was able to break our strategic pass.

But we already know who infiltrated the capital.

As long as they get back to us,

we can find out about Dayu's mole.

I'll go with you.

I thought you believe

that Liu Ru Yi and Ruyi Pavilion are both heinous?

I apologised for

asking so rashly.

But I am willing to lend a hand.

I hope Uncle San

is able to forgive me for my inconsiderate behaviour.

My identity can be more or less useful

to investigate the mole.

Moreover,

I want to prove to His Highness

that Ruyi Pavilion is nothing like how XIao Wu described.

Uncle San.

It seems like Xiao Wu is the one playing tricks.

Why don't you let Her Highness help us out.

We definitely need to lure Xiao Wu out.

Uncle San, just agree to it.

[Duke Su's Residence]

Your Highness, the secret letter from Duke Huai has arrived.

[I understand your intention.]

[I know this must not be revealed]

[as it may fall short.]

[So I can only relay this secret message to you.]

[We will speed up our pace to go to Jiuli]

[and do as you instructed.]

[I believe in Zhenbei General]

[and I believe in you.]

[I will speed up to get in contact with Zhenbei General.]

[Don't worry, brother.]

But,

even if Duke Huai believes,

the front line soldiers believe,

the one that needs to believe is His Majesty.

Your Highness, should we go to the palace to seek an audience?

No.

This letter

will not be able to calm His Majesty's anger.

In fact, His Majesty might feel

that His Highness and Zhenbei General are in collusion.

He will be more furious.

Jiuli will be breached soon.

I hope Hao'er can hurry up.

He has to hurry.

Under Zhenbei General...

No.

Under rebel Dou Yan's command,

Jiuli has been breached.

Xuan Han is now stationed in Jiuli.

He will head south any time.

Furthermore, Duke Huai was shot by an arrow outside of Jiuli City.

Your Majesty, the archer was Dou Yan.

How is Duke Huai's condition?

He is undergoing emergency treatment.

Your Majesty, you need to take care of your body.

Zhenbei General...

Messenger.

Messenger!

Your Majesty.

Open the palace gates.

Let the royal guards impose a curfew

at any time.

Yes.

Also,

summon Duke An to the palace immediately.

-Understood. -Hurry.

Your Majesty.

[Shang Yang Gate]

I've already heard

that Duke Huai...

No need to speak further.

Take the royal guards out of the city immediately.

Capture rebel Dou Yan and his whole family.

Behead them at noon tomorrow.

At the same time, send the news to the frontier pass.

to serve as an example.

You want me to capture them now?

Right now.

I've lost three cities in a row.

I need to behead them immediately

to frighten the frontier pass.

But General Zhenbei used to be a military exploit.

That is why

we cannot delay this.

The longer you wait, more trouble will arise.

Yes.

Duke An.

During the arrest,

if there is resistance,

execute immediately.

Understood.

Greetings, my lord.

I'll keep watch. You head over to Duke Su's Residence to report.

It may be a secret messenger.

-After them! -Yes.

What's the situation in the residence?

Your Highness.

The family members of General Zhenbei are inside.

No suspicious movement.

Steal a beam to replace a pillar.

So this is what you mean when you said no suspicious movement.

My lord.

We really didn't know.

You don't even know when they got switched!

-Forget it. -Thank you, my lord.

Take these two away

and interrogate them thoroughly.

Make sure they explain everything.

Even if you die,

I can still find out the person behind this.

Lieutenant.

Make sure she learns her lesson.

What?

There is no one in the general's residence?

Correct, Royal Brother.

By the time I arrived with the royal guards,

the residence is already empty.

Your Majesty.

I am useless.

Brother, please take care of your health.

I will do the best that I can

to arrest the family members of the rebel.

Do you even have a clue

of where they are?

This family of rebels

may have been hidden.

Who dare to do so?

Within Dayu borders,

the only man willing and capable

of taking such risk for General Dou...

I believe Royal Brother is already aware who it is.

Duke Su.

Though I don't dare make such accusation,

but so far,

Duke Su is the most likely suspect.

Bring the guards to Duke Su's Residence immediately.

If you see the family of rebels there, execute them.

Bring Duke Su to me.

I will ask him myself.

Understood.

[Praying for Your Highness' safety]

[A triumphant return]

[Heaven above us,]

[I know I am giving succour to the enemy.]

[There's no turning back.]

[But Duke Huai]

[is the kindest person in the world.]

[I'm willing to have my life shortened ten years.]

[I hope heaven]

[will bless and protect Duke Huai]

[so that he can return safely]

[and triumphantly.]

[Duke Su's Residence]

[Duke Su's Residence]

What's with the sudden visit,

Royal Uncle?

Duke An has been ordered to inspect Duke Su's Residence.

Due to the disappearance of the rebel family,

Royal Brother is worried that traitors and usurpers would hide

and harm Duke Su.

Thus,

he has ordered me to search for the criminals.

I'm grateful for father's concern.

Royal Uncle, please.

Search!

[The highest goodness is like water]

Report, my lord.

Nothing is found.

Looks like the family of rebels is not here.

I shall report this back to His Majesty.

Thank you for your concern.

Sorry I cannot escort you farther.

I'll tell His Majesty

not to worry too much about your safety.

Don't worry, Your Highness.

The general's family is safe outside the city.

It shouldn't be dangerous now.

Looks like

Father has started to suspect me.

This is not a long-term plan.

Once the other party is exposed,

you know what to do.

Yes.

[Duke Su's Residence]

Wen Xing.

Keep a close watch on Duke Su's Residence.

Don't take lightly of anyone coming in and out of the place.

Yes, sir.

From Guanyan Town to Jiuli,

what is the fastest route?

The fastest

would be two days.

In your opinion...

The frontier pass is victorious!

Your Highness.

The frontier pass is victorious.

[Shuang Yue Pass]

Your Highness.

[It's true that Duke Huai is hurt, but only a light injury.]

[Attached to the arrow that Zhenbei General shot]

[was a defense map of Jiuli]

[and how to coordinate outside and inside offensives.]

Duke Huai pretended to be seriously injured

to make sure Xuan Han people let their guard down.

At night, Zhenbei General attacked Xuan Han's Commander-in-Chief.

Then secretly opened the city's small gate.

Dayu's army stridently entered the city.

[The people of Xuan Han fled in all directions and were utterly defeated.]

[Shuang Yue Pass]

Attack!

The Commander-in-Chief is dead!

-The Commander is dead! -The Commander is dead!

Attack!

[Both sides assembled.]

[Zhenbei General and Duke Huai took advantage to pursue and attack]

another troop.

News about the death of Xuan Han's Commander has been spread.

The Xuan Han soldiers originally stationed at Zhangyang City

heard the news of the frontline's defeat.

and the commander's death.

Thus, they evacuated that same night.

No wonder he's a master.

The people were not harmed

and the enemy were easily defeated.

He deserves to be respected.

If it weren't for Your Highness' prediction

and the letter that you sent to Duke Huai,

I'm afraid this war would've dragged on.

Your Highness is truly wise.

All of this is thanks to Hao'er.

Greetings, Father.

Duke Su.

Are you aware of your mistake?

I am guilty.

I hid the suspects without your permission.

I hope father can overlook my mistake.

Jin'er.

Not only are you innocent,

you have also made a huge contribution.

I am the one who should reflect on my action.

Zhenbei General disregarded his life and went deep into enemy's territory,

defeated many with the few,

bringing huge victory to Dayu.

But I,

almost killed a loyal subject and made a serious mistake.

Thankfully, you are here.

You delegate well, Father.

You're onest and kind-hearted.

If the soldiers at frontier pass know,

I'm sure they are willing to pledge loyalty to Dayu.

Good.

Good.

Father.

Since

Zhenbei General's name has been cleared,

does that mean that this family

are allowed to return to the residence?

Of course.

Go and settle it fast.

Thank you, Father.

[General's Residence]

On behalf of the general,

thank you, Your Highness, for saving our family.

Mrs Dou, no need to be polite.

You can rest assured about master.

Mrs Dou, you ought to rest early today.

Let's go.

Your Highness.

Mr Ge, you came at the right time.

Please accompany me to Fu Residence.

Your Highness.

News form the frontier pass.

[Enemy received information on taking down Zhangyang City.]

[This matter must be investigated. Dou Yan, General of Zhenbei]

It seems like there's a mole in Dayu.

What?

Go investigate.

Find out who leaked the defense map.

Yes.

Your Highness.

Are we still going to Fu Residence?

[We have followed him for days.]

[We found that this Xuan Han's spy]

[often walked around the East Street.]

[He seems to be looking for a suitable place for discussions.]

[But who is he waiting for?]

[We have made arrangements with nearby tea houses and restaurants.]

Hello, sir.

How many persons?

Give me a private room.

Sure. This way.

Come in.

Honourable envoy.

Have a drink.

You lot have no sincerity!

Honourable envoy.

Tell us,

how should we show our sincerity?

I want to meet your lord.

This...

Rumour has it

that the lord can't even leave the palace.

How is he going to discuss about collaboration?

Honourable envoy.

Do you really want to see our lord?

This time tomorrow.

Right here.

I will spare my time for only one cup of tea.

If I don't see your lord,

don't blame us Xuan Han for turning against you.

That person just now is Duke Cheng's personal guard.

His name is Zhong Rui.

So the person they were talking about

was Duke Cheng?

This person is really hopeless.

After being locked in Contemplation Hall, he still doesn't learn.

He even colluded with Xuan Han's spy for money.

Now what should we do?

Let's capture them when Duke Cheng come.

It's useless to capture them.

We need a more direct evidence.

The people are in good health.

Life is abundant.

Nothing is better than these.

Everything depends on Your Majesty's wisdom.

You

used to be so quiet.

Now you can speak well.

Everything that I said is from the bottom of my heart.

If Your Majesty didn't care about the people,

why would we be making a trip in disguise

to pray for blessings at Tian Men Temple.

I've heard from Eunuch Wang.

Since you were placed under house arrest,

you have been writing scriptures every day.

When the frontier pass war happened,

you burned incense and kowtowed every day.

I think it is because your kind intention had reached the heavens.

That's why we achieved great victory.

You are fulfilling a promise.

As the ruler of this country,

how can I not accompany you?

Your Majesty.

Besides, it's been a long time since I went out in disguise.

Yes.

Master.

What happened?

Master, Madam.

This horse seems to be hungry.

It refuses to move.

It may need to rest.

I shall feed it some food.

Your Majesty.

Didn't you say that it's been a long time since you went out?

Why not take this chance to walk around

while also try out some common folk food?

You can also have a look

at the everyday life of common folks.

Seems like a good idea.

Hot steam buns!

Your Majesty, look.

Two guests heading up.

Careful, watch the steps.

Valuable guests,

you came to our restaurant at the right time.

Our shop just restocked a whole batch of Baiting Tea yesterday.

I'm not exaggerating.

But you can't get this tea elsewhere.

Watch your step.

Over here.

A little bit in front.

It's here.

Come.

Please come inside.

Please sit here.

What kind of tea would you like?

It doesn't matter.

How can it not matter?

We have good tea like

Baiting, Chunquan, Hongqi, and Lingshan tea.

-I wonder... -I told you it doesn't matter.

-Are you deaf? -Okay, I understand.

I'll bring it soon.

Please wait for a moment.

Why is he not here yet?

He should be here soon.

How dare he!

A lowly envoy

dared to ask to see me in person?

If it wasn't a life or death situation,

I would've killed them.

That replacement back at Contemplation Hall.

He won't be a problem, right?

Don't worry, my lord.

The eunuch is very clever.

Okay.

Nothing's wrong, right?

What's wrong?

I'm fine.

I just feel a little thirsty.

Dear guests, would you like some tea?

We received a new batch of Baiting Tea yesterday.

You can't get it elsewhere.

Even the gods are envious of the taste.

Can't get it elsewhere?
