] In Kashmir, there was a farmer that had a stallion.

Oh! I know where this is going.

No, you don't.

One day, the stallion ran away.

t bad luck," said the neighbour.

Ah, we'll see," said the farmer.

Months later, the stallion returned with a pregnant mare.

good luck," the neighbour said.

"We'll see," said the farmer.

So, taming the mare, er's son fell and broke his leg.

"Well, that's bad luck," said the neighbour.

weeks later, the Maharaja's army came through the village...

recruited all the young, le-bodied men... None came home.

ut the farmer's son couldn't go.

Exactly.

ll be Harry, he's got spare key.

-Good luck or bad? -Yeah, I'm never really hopeful.

We'll see.

What the hell is she doing here?

How did you get in?

Sorry to do this, baby-cakes, ut I need you to pack up and go.

Tell you what, that I'm not enjoying the view.

e a minute, get yourself decent.

Sweetcheeks!

agreed I had until this morning to win it back.

We didn't say what time.

-Harry? Rich, I swear, I'll get it back.

-Get what back? -You find the collateral.

My doors are open.

-What are you talking about? -He lost your flat.

It's the worst run of cards I've ever had, I swear.

What's going on now?

Well, apparently, this woman now owns my flat.

-She won it from Harry... -I'll win it back.

, can you put that down, please?

No, it's not an issue of "winning it back."

I'm a police officer, so take your minders and get out

before I start arresting people.

Oh, we could go down that route,

but then I'll call the bailiffs, they'll call the press.

Is that what you want?

-Are you okay with this? of course I'm not okay with it.

ell, then tell her it's my flat.

I can't! Legally, it's hers.

ou gambled away my flat? Look...

ow hard I worked for this place.

I said, put that down, will you?

k, just give it to me, will you?

Oh!

Now look what you've done!

Whoa, whoa, let him go.

-Oh, thank you. -You selfish bastard.

- Everything I've done for you! - Rich!

the shit you've put me through!

Eh?

Rich...

I swear whatever it takes.

no, no! Cut the crap, all right.

Just get out. Can you do that?

rn your arse around and get out!

-Morning. -Hey.

So...

deciding how to use the footage.

u have there conclusive evidence of attempted murder.

It's the game changer.

t, so we arrest him, charge him, let justice take its course.

t know if I trust anyone outside this room. It's too risky.

risky? Now you wanna be careful?

ought down an Albanian drug gang d a Triad leader all in one day.

Results like those tend to complicate things.

to go higher up the food chain.

nna get a meeting with his boss.

still thinks he can control you,

he finds out you've done that, you're a dead woman.

east meet him somewhere neutral.

you're concerned for my safety?

-I'll decide where we meet. -I'll come with you.

What, I turn up with someone who's wanted by MI6?

And MIS.

Any more bright ideas? No? Right, we're done.

How's Rich?

aybe you should've thought about elings before you lost his flat.

You know I'm not on the payroll.

-Too proud for a foodbank? -No, no I'm a regular.

ld pay my rent with ginger nuts, I'd be sorted.

Hi, Owen Hutchinson, please...

Oh, for fucks sake.

Suri.

isten, I'm going to get it back, Rich's flat.

sten, I know I can do it, but...

I need money.

No, you need help.

No, a few hundred would help.

That's enabling, not helping.

Look, I'm not blaming you, I know it's an addiction.

No, it's...

ou can't change until you accept you have a problem.

Get help.

And please, stay away from Rich.

Morning, ma'am.

You got me today.

What's this, chivalry? What brought this on?

you mean, what brought this on?

I live and breathe chivalry.

I'm always a goddamn knight.

I thought you'd retired.

Another two months, then I'm off the force.

Well you'll have to keep your head down.

Oh, I'm just driving until then.

You work too hard.

Tell me.

And you're too thin.

Men don't like skinny women.

You've researched this?

-Have you got a man? -Are you offering?

You should get round ours...

Try my wife's pepperpot stew!

Put pounds on you.

e guys circling you like sharks.

Wife's birthday tomorrow.

Ah, hence the compliments.

You want the day off?

Is it okay?

Yeah, you leave the car with me, I'll look after it.

Okey dokey...

Managed to sort a hotel.

Hotel? Rich!

Move in with me.

-What? -Move in with me.

You're trying to cheer me up.

Is that so bad?

ings haven't exactly been smooth with us recently.

yet here we are, still together.

I'll drive you mad.

I know.

This another one of these bad luck-good luck things?

We'll see.

You're amazing.

I love you.

contains footage of Samuel Blake

ning fire on two of my officers. I thought I should talk to you.

You're a...

-What are you? -Detective Superintendant.

A DSI.

How can a DSI be so blind to the big picture?

'm not blind to the big picture, I believe in due process.

Your idea of due process compromise a delicate operation

and put lives in danger.

about the danger to my officers?

We spent years g to infiltrate the Triad gangs.

our patience has been rewarded.

We have a Dragonhead.

y] Your agent is out of control.

He acted to protect his cover.

I need to know what you intend to do about him.

I thought she worked for you.

She did.

If Blake had aimed to kill, your officers would be dead.

That's an agent that's very much in control.

u sanction him, you protect him.

alls, he will take you with him.

No.

's called plausible deniability.

A sterile corridor between department and agent.

When he falls, he falls alone.

What do you think the public will make of all this?

I think they'd say, "Give that man a knighthood."

The ancient Chinese used tattoos to brand their criminals.

i turned a mark of oppression...

into a badge of honour...

courage...

a symbol of undying loyalty.

Yes?

Who was she with?

that woman never travels alone.

en she moves, her soldiers move.

dame Cheung's been seen in Soho.

he promised Clayton she'd remove s bracelet once he defeated you.

y now, she'll know that his luck is turning against him.

ll find out where she's stays...

who she meets with.

The endgame approaches.

Undying loyalty.

Do you feel that?

Powerful, isn't it?

e than anything I've ever known.

Shit.

-Well done. -Oh, my God!

Ah, I thought I'd find you here.

Oh, yeah?

Why you wasting time?

Tomorrow this will be black.

Where do I find Eve?

Eve?

Last night... pulled Tai Jing from the Thames.

ke is the new Wu Chi Dragonhead.

I need to save Eve.

Do you know what Blake does to people like you?

Then you do it!

You left her to die.

You bring her back to me!

Hiding here ...

playing games!

your duty before it's too late!

I'm doing my duty!

-Morning. -Morning.

s a bit poorly, sent me to work.

-Oh, what a shame. -Keys?

Here.

I'll get her warmed up.

Okay. Just give me one minute.

Okey dokey.

Cheers.

so much for Neighbourhood Watch.

ne saw anything, heard anything,

most of 'em didn't even hear the explosion.

, there's your lead right there.

Well, whoever planted the device ould see that a mile off, but...

-I'll check it out. -Thank you.

It's got to be Blake.

Yeah.

I'm sorry about your driver.

Morgan, his name was Morgan. e shouldn't have even been here.

Blake will not defeat us.

ve just had the Chief telling me hat I shouldn't stay here and...

that I can't go into the office.

-Where will go? -Safe house.

I don't know.

anything better? You can drive.

-Me? e only person I trust right now.

I'll pay you.

Speed limits not apply to you?

thought we were being followed. -Bollocks you did.

-Why are you in such a hurry? -Come on. Come on.

Supposed to be a safe house. m gonna have to nail these shut.

'm gonna have to nail them shut.

You need to fuck off. ur attitude is doing my head in.

-Yeah, you're welcome. h, am I supposed to be grateful?

re only here because I paid you. What is happening with you?

t's happening with me? I'm going ugh a lot of shite, that's what.

re going through a lot of shite?

My friend was just blown apart in front of me!

dn't realise he was your friend, I'm sorry.

He talked to me.

I can't leave you here.

, you can, I am ordering you to.

ork for you. You can't order me.

Then I'm asking you.

I wouldn't be calling if I wasn't desperate...

Come on Jackie, how often do I ask for a tip?

2:30, Goodwood, Dakota Lady. Fantastic, I owe you.

-He was in this club all night? e's trying to win back the flat.

I have to make Clayton believe his luck is back.

Then we make our move.

-Why would you want to do that? l warfare is based on deception.

Sun Tzu.

"When your enemy is weak, ake him believe he is strong..."

t Clayton's bracelet, I need him o believe his luck has returned.

What about Gray?

Elsa Gray is a dead woman.

- There he goes. - It's Blake.

, so if he's driven, he's parked utside the range of our cameras.

Yeah, he's bloody close, though.

Watch.

Gray's driver.

's Blake's car in the reflection of the neighbour's window.

Stop it there.

-Wow. that, you've got a number plate.

Suri, ANPR.

Our target vehicle just been spotted heading north on the A2.

Game on.

Blake's car last seen heading east on B2175.

-Jesus. man] Are you still giving chase?

No, I lost him.

ay] You know who you're calling. Leave a message.

Elsa, it's Harry. call me the minute you get this.

think Blake knows where you are.

Come on, Elsa? Pick up! Pick up!

hat the hell are you doing here? -Where's Blake?

He's through there, unconscious.

No, no, no, no!

He's taken my car.

Shit!

Fuck!

You're not safe here. We should be at mine.

No.

-What, just "no"? -That's right. No.

-What's with the look? -What look?

That look.

Okay.

w did Blake find me? Nobody knew was coming here except for you.

Well, bollocks to that! 't me, so it must have been you.

Nothing there.

What, what...?

Condoms... Unopened, so it's not in here.

Two years past their sell-by! Has it really been that long?

You're a complete arse.

Well, I can't fault you on that.

Tracker.

Camera.

You led them right to us.

rison must've put them in there.

Uh-huh.

-Don't apologise. -Oh, no, don't worry, I won't.

And you were just a child?

atment was worse than the burns.

ery morning, the nurses would...

strip the bandages ower me into a chlorinated bath.

Now that, that was like...

being skinned alive.

How did you cope?

I just...

ng myself, "Your day will come."

"Your day... will come."

now... that day's almost here...

The road to peace is paved with headstones.

Are you prepared to spill blood?

For peace...

yes.

And after the blood...

I can go home...

keep bees...

Live on honey.

Will you come with me?

You don't need to knock...

-You live here. -Oh, yeah, sorry.

Where have you been?

Did we organise something?

we didn't. I wanted to make sure everything was nice.

when you came back, first time.

Yeah, I just went to the barge find Harry, but he wasn't there.

He's working with Gray.

Oh, right.

I was worried...

I started to feel guilty.

If anyone should understand rry's addiction by now, it's me.

And yet I had him by the throat.

Only 'cause you beat me to it.

He did a terrible thing.

Yeah.

gine having to watch your mother and your brother burn to death

at six years old.

I know.

Yeah.

He keeps asking himself why did fate spare him?

It's like survivor's guilt.

only gambles to punish himself.

of all the people in the world, id Eve give the bracelet to him?

Eve gave it to him?

Didn't you know?

He told me about the bracelet, but I didn't believe him.

o you really believe it's lucky?

I used to, but...

, his whole life's gone to shit.

And I've let him deal with it all on his own.

-Hi. -Hi.

You've just moved in?

It's a buy-to-let, fixing it up.

Why, you live here?

Let me help you.

Thanks.

Make it a double.

You just had a double.

And there's another.

The day we've had, do you think this is gonna have any effect?

No, no, no.

It's impressive.

Built up a tolerance when I was undercover.

-You were SO10? -Hmm.

Chelsea head-hunter.

Best days of my life.

A woman who could fight. You were like royalty.

Never had so much respect... so much love...

d my job, though, put them away.

s first. Job always comes first.

, you reckon this place is safe?

It's worked for me.

There's only one bed.

You can have it.

Why are you staring?

now I know why you were so keen to get me here.

No. No. No. have to take care of something.

Yeah, sure.

-What was that? -Oh, what...?

You think this is some sort of neurotic impulse?

No.

It was the grief. No, wait...

She needs to feel secure.

No, no, no, I didn't think that.

mes a woman just fancies a fuck.

not that bad-looking, you know?

that supposed to be flattering?

You could be anybody.

That's romantic.

Well, I don't want those condoms going to waste.

They're past their sell-by date.

So are you.

You think?

y opportunities like this ahead.

You can still feel that kiss.

Maybe.

I can see it.

They've found your car.

Over there, Harry.

Thanks, Jim.

If there's any luck left in you, now is the time.

You beauty.

got five grand and a challenge.

I shuffle, you get 12 cards, I get the next one off the top.

rs beats mine, you pick this up.

If I win, that five becomes 50.

Okay.

Except he shuffles and deals.

Do you not trust me?

Club rules.

Okay.

Queen to beat.

Let's go again. I win, that 50 becomes 500.

Can't happen twice.

King to beat.

That's now half a mill.

50-50 on my brother's flat.

One turn of the cards, st keeps the money and the keys.

Nah, it's not my night.

I'll keep the money...

You take the keys.

Deal.

ll Blake. Tell him I've done it.

ell him I want my daughter back.

Dais, just your old fella here,

eaving you a message telling you I'm thinking about you.

Sending you love.

Dad... Bye...

-Daisy? ! I was just thinking about you.

re you doing up? It's the middle ht. That's why I left a message.

ge row with mum, couldn't sleep.

st remind her you're a teenager,

that your inner chimp will be driving for a while.

let me hang out with my friends.

just wants to know you're safe.

Oh, I heard her door. I'll call you tomorrow.

Daisy.

Charming.

Hey, Elsa.

-Morning. -Morning.

-Coffee? -Please.

So...

We can't keep running.

need to take the fight to Blake.

Well, how do we do that?

blic. We hold a press conference somewhere totally safe,

somewhere out in the open... plenty of protection.

se Blake, we expose his methods.

We do that, n Hutchinson will let him swing.

-You think? -I know. He told me.

reat, we make our move on Blake, bring him in, lock him up.

Oh, in case you're wondering, that was pretty good last night.

I've had worse.

Why was I frisked?

otocols, nothing to worry about.

I'm not worried.

Hmm, maybe you should be.

Elsa Gray has organised a press conference.

If she exposes you...

I can't guarantee MI6 support.

You called me here for that?

-Thought it merited a heads-up. -Don't lie.

e's just as much a threat to you as she is to me.

She's no threat to me.

really believe that if I fall...

I fall alone?

Look at you.

You think you can match me?

Barely out of school...

-This meeting's over. -I'll decide when it's over.

This...

heads-up...

you want me to murder Elsa Gray before she can open her mouth...

you haven't the balls to say it, have you?

Have you?

nk you've got the measure of me?

nk you can stare into the abyss?

-Please... -Where you gonna hide...

when the abyss stares back?

n your fucking sterile corridor?

-Rich's flat. -What's happened now?

No way?

-Told you I'd get it back. -How'd you do it?

-How'd you think? ought it wasn't working anymore.

n, I'm sorry to ruin the shining but Gray needs us straight away.

Well, before you rush off, we've got something to tell you.

h, you're not pregnant, are you? -No.

Uh, I'm moving in with Suri.

t you didn't even need the flat?

m sorry. Still a little bit raw? -Hmm.

No, it's great. I'm delighted for both of you.

Come on.

See you later.

Dirty bastard.

arry] I've never seen my brother look so happy.

, how did you win back the flat?

alls of steel and a bit of luck.

h says your luck is running out.

What else does he say?

aid that bracelet came from Eve.

this when we were in Hong Kong.

Yes, but the way you said it, ade sure I wouldn't believe you.

To protect you.

I should've known, ould've been a better colleague.

Suri, I couldn't have wished for a better colleague.

now on, I'm with you every step, you've gotta be honest with me.

Rich was right.

is running out. When this turns lack, that's it, my luck's gone.

But you won back the flat.

are you sure about the bracelet?

I mean, a lucky charm, every gambler has one of those?

The flame burns brightest before it dies...

That's why, to bring Blake down, we have to act now.

This my last roll of the dice.

Orwell doesn't like your plan of going public.

You're already a target, two attempts on your life.

We stage a press conference, we have to publicise it,

that puts you right back in the line of fire.

So what are we supposed to do?

Just sit around and wait until Blake picks her off?

No. The way we go about this ill reinforce how crucial it is.

We need maximum exposure in a controlled environment...

Leave Blake nowhere to hide.

I've seen you risk your life time and time again.

ine. This is someone else's life you're putting in danger.

I think that's my call.

Look, every major decision, Harry's got right.

If it stops Blake, it's a risk worth taking.

-We just need time-- -We haven't got time!

Blake murdered your driver.

I think you owe him.

You're right. We go public.

So we do this. Together.

y, the press have been notified.

The venue is the main steps at Greenwich Barracks.

I've arranged security.

There are metal detectors on all the doors.

The rooms have been swept using sniffer dogs.

o one gets in or out without ID.

We've got an SUV with full ballistic protection.

ake catches wind of any of this, tries anything...

uch putting his balls in a vice.

He might enjoy that.

I've got to be there.

It'll only work if I'm there.

l] You keep a low profile Harry, you're still a wanted man.

All right, we leave in an hour.

Suri, it's Rich.

I can't talk now, we're on our way to a job.

Look, listen. I've been thinking about that story you told me.

at if Harry winning my flat back is actually bad luck?

What if something terrible is about to happen?

ry was about accepting your fate d not worrying about the future.

Suri, is this job dangerous?

t's probably the most secure job I've done since joining MIS.

-Where is it? -I can't tell you that.

Look, I need to go.

-Come on. - Come on, Suri.

It'll put my mind at rest.

're going to Greenwich Barracks. What could be safer?

Thank you all for coming at such short notice.

ective Superintendent Elsa Gray, ndon Murder Investigation Squad.

I believe, at the highest levels of our security services...

a moral vacuum and a lack of accountability.

hen an MI6 agent takes the lives of innocent people...

attempts to murder my officers, hen I am compelled to intervene.

have the corroborating evidence.

rruption at the highest level...

and it has to command a maximum prison sentence.

I followed procedure to address this issue.

I was met with contempt.

ress conference is a last resort to tackle this corruption.

Gun!

Stay where you are! Put it down!

Down! Put the gun down!

Hands in the air.

Step away from the gun.

Are you still having fun?

You still think that's lucky?

Eve.

Sniper!

Everybody down.

No. No!

No, Suri! Suri, Suri, Suri.

-Do something! -Yes!

Suri. Suri. Hey.

Hey.

Ambulance needed immediately. To Greenwich Barracks.

e fading] Officer has been shot. We need urgent assistance.

Suri. Suri, can you hear me?

Suri, Suri, stay with me, stay.

Stay, Suri, please.

Stay. Come on. Come on, Suri.

Stay. Stay.

Oh, God.

Oh...

Suri...

Suri.
