=Episode 11=

Thank you.

Mr. Chen.

I haven't seen you for a long time.

Mr. Pan.

Hi.

Did Mrs. Chen like the clothes made for her last time?

My wife and I are very satisfied.

Once you make something,

it's really

extraordinary.

Please provide your comments, Mr. Chen.

No.

I'll let you handle my daughter's wedding dress

in the future.

We can arrange that.

Here.

(What are you doing today?)

(I'm attending an event with Mr. Pan.)

(I have come to Nanjing. I'll go to find you when I return to Shanghai.)

(Did something happen at the embroidery workshop?)

(No, I want to give you something)

(What is it?)

I forgot to introduce you.

Mo Fei.

Come.

Mr. Zhu, you just started managing Haiyao,

and you already know the local fashion industry so well.

You're incredible.

Ms. Xia, you're being too kind.

Oh, right.

Since we met today,

I must explain something to you.

What happened to Ms. Li's embroidery workshop

really had nothing to do with me.

I hope you won't misunderstand.

I know that.

I'm managing

the embroidery workshop now.

Is that so?

That's great.

If you need anything in the embroidery workshop,

I'll surely help you.

I'll thank you in advance then, Mr. Zhu.

Ms. Xia, you're always so courteous.

I've always known that you are

an open-minded person.

Today,

I also want to open up to you.

Even if Haiyao

is leading

in the country in terms

of marketing management,

to put it bluntly,

I have my issues too.

Our design team

is too weak.

We lack talent.

So I would like to take the opportunity today

to seek some advice

and recommendations from you.

Mr. Zhu, the design team

is also what the Mingyuan Group

places the most importance on.

Through

in-depth collaboration

with a dozen fashion universities in the country,

they recommend their top students

to us each year.

Incredible.

Of course, we'll also sponsor

these universities.

Marvelous.

Oh, right.

Look at that girl.

Her name is Mo Fei.

She just participated

(East China Clothing Fashion Forum) in Mingyuan Fashion's Chinese Style Fashion.

Even if her rank is low,

she's quite popular online.

People in the industry think highly of her.

Mr. Wu from Fashion Daily

even especially made an exception for her,

and placed her design online for pre-selling.

She looks so quiet.

I didn't expect her to be such an amazing designer.

I'm quite interested

in her now.

Then

I'll introduce you

to her.

Sure.

Excuse me.

I have to take care of some matters over there. I'll go ahead.

Okay.

-Okay. -Okay.

Mr. Pan, Mo Fei.

Let me introduce you.

This is Haiyao Group's chairman,

Mr. Zhu Haitian.

Hello.

Nice meeting you.

Mo Fei.

You and Mr. Zhu should know each other.

We've met once,

but we're not cut from the same cloth.

There's no need to introduce us anymore.

Ms. Mo Fei and I

had a misunderstanding.

But now that we've been introduced, we're friends.

This is what I'll do.

I'm formally apologizing to you,

and I'll drink this as punishment.

Since you think it was a misunderstanding,

why did you drink as punishment?

Ms. Mo is an artist indeed.

Bad-tempered, outspoken,

brutal.

Thank you.

Mo Fei, I know

that you and Mr. Zhu had a minor misunderstanding.

But since we're all here today,

they say that it's better to get rid of enmity than keep it alive.

That's all in the past now. Forget about it.

And Mr. Zhu really admires your talent.

He really hopes that you can work for Haiyao

and become their designer.

Thank you, Ms. Xia.

I'm just an insignificant designer.

Haiyao is out of my league.

Ms. Mo.

I'm sincerely inviting you

to work for Haiyao.

This is what we'll do.

You can provide your conditions

for the contract.

I'm also sincerely telling you

that I won't work there.

I'm sorry, Mr. Zhu.

Actually, Mo Fei

is going to study fashion design in France soon.

Of course, you might still work together

after she comes back.

Is that so? She's incredible.

Congratulations then, Ms. Mo.

I'll wait after you finish your studies then.

You'll always be welcome at Haiyao.

I won't work there all the more.

By the way, Mo Fei, Xiaoyu should be here.

Let's go and take a look.

Okay.

I'm sorry, excuse us.

Mr. Zhu, I'm sorry. Please excuse me too.

Xiaoyu.

Mr. Pan.

You can chat.

Mo Fei, you were so bad last time.

We just finished making the outfit,

and you just left after packing up.

You didn't leave anything for me.

When did you work together?

It's nothing.

Mr. Fang just taught me some batik making techniques.

Don't glare at me.

I met her at Mr. Feng's shop last time.

I won't pirate my friend's staff,

you know that.

Mo Fei, be careful.

There's only a thin line

between a genius and a madman.

Look at this world.

It's getting harder to be a good guy.

Where's Tang Mingxuan?

He went to Nanjing on a business trip.

Why are you so different today?

Why are you suddenly concerned about Mingxuan?

You two are like conjoined twins,

you're always together.

Did you have an argument?

No, he'll be back later.

A while ago,

our classmates all got married, right?

I have your red envelope ready. When are you two getting married?

Just worry about yourself.

Stop joking about me and Mingxuan.

Don't worry about me.

I don't care about him, but I'll surely attend if you get married.

I should thank you then.

Since you're showing me so much respect,

can you please

not argue with Mingxuan the next time you see him?

You're not married yet,

and you're already minding his business.

Excuse me, I'll go to the restroom.

Mr. Jiang is here. You two can chat. I'll go and take a look.

Nice view. Look.

Was that good?

You're so nosy.

I'm worried about you.

Worry about yourself.

Ms. Mo.

Please stop.

Why are you leaving so soon?

I can bring you home.

Thank you, I can go home by myself.

It's very convenient for me. It's safer to ride with me.

Along the way, we can chat

about the contract.

I'm not interested in Haiyao at all.

Stop wasting your time on me.

Ms. Mo.

Don't be so unapproachable.

People

must get to know each other.

Give me a chance.

See my sincerity, okay?

But I don't want to get to know you.

Zhu Haitian.

Xiaoman?

What are you doing?

Ms. Mo Fei and I are discussing work.

Mo Fei, what do you want? He's my boyfriend.

Please watch your boyfriend then.

What are you talking about, Xiaoman?

I'm not finished yet.

Why are you leaving in such a hurry?

Go ahead then, I'm listening.

Why are you always around?

You just won't quit, do you?

Xiaoman, don't be ridiculous.

We're talking about work. Why are you bringing up other things?

Mo Fei, I'll drive you home.

Ms. Mo, later.

I'm sorry.

Later?

Interesting. You said that you would avenge me.

Now, you want to sign her.

What exactly are you thinking?

What do you know?

I was discussing signing a contract with her.

Why are you mad?

Think about it.

If I sign her,

she'll be Haiyao's employee.

Then you can bully her however you want.

Can't you do whatever you want then?

Is that what you really think?

Of course.

I don't think so.

The way you looked at her

is obviously different.

Are you crazy? Why are you making a fuss?

I'm making a fuss?

I think you're guilty, Zhu Haitian.

We're by the hotel's door. Cut it out.

You're making a fuss for no reason.

Ms. Xia, thank you.

No worries.

You're a new designer.

You're not exactly in the industry yet.

I want to give you a piece of advice.

For the sake of your career prospects,

I think

you shouldn't offend the business owners in the industry.

But I just don't like him.

You know what?

Your designs were chosen by Fashion Daily.

Is that so?

However,

I don't think I'm qualified

to join Fashion Daily's competition.

Mr. Wu from Fashion Daily

did bring that up indeed.

But Mingxuan insisted

on using your design in Fashion Daily.

Because of this matter,

Mr. Wu was a bit unhappy.

But it's fine.

I think you're very talented.

But sometimes,

just being talented is useless.

You must rely on luck.

I'm not a designer who relies on luck.

What's wrong with relying on luck?

Many people would want that.

Ms. Xia, where are we going?

Oh, right. I forgot.

Mingxuan asked me

to bring some stuff to his house.

It's just after the turn ahead.

Then... Then just stop on the side.

I'll take a cab home.

How can I do that?

I'll only feel at ease if I bring you home safely.

We'll be right there.

Go inside with me when we arrive.

It's fine, I'll just wait here.

Okay, I won't be too long.

Xueling.

Auntie Lu.

I'm sorry happy to see you. I've missed you.

By the way,

Mingxuan told me to give you some stuff.

He's still concerned about me.

He even bought me a gift.

But you had to bring it here.

No worries. I'll get it for you.

Okay.

Who is this?

She's Mo Fei,

Mingyuan's new designer.

She just competed at Chinese Style Fashion.

Mingxuan and I think that she's very promising.

Mo Fei.

She's Mingxuan's mom, Auntie Lu.

Hi, Auntie.

What a beautiful and talented girl.

Come and have some fruits.

It's fine, I'll just wait here.

There's no need.

Since you're Mingxuan and Xueling's friend,

you're my guest. Come on.

Let's go.

Come on, it won't take too long.

When I went out today,

I saw that the fruits are very fresh.

I especially bought some for your mom.

They're all her favorites.

Thank you, Auntie.

I have a gift for you too.

Have some fruits first.

Mo Fei, don't be shy.

Have some fruits.

Today,

that silk store I always go to

has a new arrival.

So I bought you

and Mingxuan pajamas.

See if you like it.

Do you like this color?

This is my favorite pattern.

This is Mingxuan's.

This really suits him.

He has always liked plain colors.

You know him the best. If you say it's good, that means it is.

I hope

that after working the whole day,

you two can relax at home

and wear something comfortable.

Then

I'll place it in your room.

There's no need, Auntie.

You're being so shy.

The guest room will always be yours.

Don't go home anymore if you work too late.

We'll be family sooner or later.

Don't be restricted by those superficial rules.

Thank you, Auntie.

Have some fruits.

Auntie, it's late.

I must still bring Mo Fei home.

Why are you in such a hurry? You just sat down.

You haven't even eaten.

I'll visit you another day.

That's a promise then.

I won't keep you.

Okay.

Drive safely. Send my regards to your mom.

Okay.

Mrs. Wu.

Bring these fruits to the car.

Okay.

I'll get going, Auntie.

Come and visit me often.

I'll visit you again next time.

Mo Fei.

Come and visit us next time too.

Thank you, Auntie.

What's the matter, Mo Fei? Why are you so quiet?

Are you sleepy?

I'm sorry.

You were delayed

for so long at Mingxuan's house.

It's fine.

By the way,

I heard from Mr. Pan that you're going to study in France.

I'll be leaving in a few days.

That's good.

Go and see the world.

You'll surely learn a lot.

Thank you for your hard work regarding Ms. Li's embroidery workshop.

Mingxuan and I even talked about

preparing a small gift

for you.

Ms. Xia, you're too kind.

I just helped my teacher out.

It's what I should do.

Mingxuan

has always had a bad temper since we were little.

I was even worried

that working with him

would make you feel aggrieved.

Ms. Xia, my house is up ahead.

Just stop here. Thank you.

We're here.

You're really becoming more immature.

You're being ridiculous!

I'm ridiculous?

Zhu Haitian, if you were really considering me,

you should have humiliated Mo Fei in front of everyone.

And there are so many designers.

Why do you want to sign her?

Her talent is nothing!

Do you like her?

I like her?

Did you become stupid

from walking on the runway in heels daily?

Let me tell you.

Mo Fei is talented indeed.

She's not a nobody!

Do you know how popular Chinese Style is now?

Soon,

Chinese Style will occupy the entire market!

Do you know

how hard it is to find a designer

who really knows Chinese Style?

Even Ms. Xia thinks Mo Fei is very promising!

Why shouldn't I sign her?

I'm a big boss.

Why would I care about a newcomer in the industry if that's not the case?

Zhu Haitian, listen...

No, you listen!

Mo Fei is Ms. Li's student.

Ms. Li will surely ignore me.

If Haiyao

wants to develop Chinese Style,

I must sign Mo Fei!

But I have a feud with her!

She was the one who got me expelled back then.

And she was the reason why Cayman fired me!

And you're telling me

that you want to sign that kind of person?

Do you care about me at all?

Xiaoman, can you be more mature?

Can't you set aside personal feuds first?

The company's growth is the priority!

This is business, you know?

I don't care!

You don't care about how I feel at all.

Do you care about me then?

Do you think about the company's growth?

If the company doesn't grow, can you buy bags?

Can you buy clothes and travel?

Just go hungry!

I'm tired. I don't want to argue anymore.

Anyway,

I'll surely sign Mo Fei.

You'd better

think things through.

If not,

do whatever you want.

Manman.

Where are you? I can't find you.

Manman.

You blocked me.

I had no choice but to get a new number.

Don't ignore me, okay?

will you return to me?
