-[siren wailing] -[metal scraping]

[Medic] Right, in you go.

-[metal grinding] -Just relax.

[fabric ripping]

You know, I'm actually feeling a lot better.

-[Medic] Okay. -I really am.

-[Medic] Breathe deeply now. -[siren wailing]

[crowd mumbling]

That's a lot of people.

Marvin, now you can do this, okay?

You are Kissimmee Sunshine Park.

It means a lot you believe in me.

[hand slapping]

Wait, can we go over my policies again?

[Announcer] Please welcome your next candidate,

Marvin Pepper!

Oh well.

-I'll wing it! -[crowd cheers]

[Tyler] I will serve each and every day

as your new Mayor of Kissimmee.

[crowd applauds]

Thank you Candidate Tyler.

And now, let's hear the opening statement

from our third candidate, Marvin Pepper.

[crowd cheering]

[Woman] Yeah, Marvin!

I'd like to say that a vote for Marvin Pepper is a vote

for freedom, self-determination and the American Way.

[crowd cheering]

[Man] That's got some pepper!

Is that it?

You don't wanna say somethin' about RV parks?

[birds tweeting]

[crowd mumbling]

-Oh, I see, well-- -Oh, no, no,

I think he's had his time!

If I may.

The reason why the honorable Mr. Pepper

hasn't prepared a stance on today's topic

is because he's a joke candidate.

Redevelopin' RV parks is solid and reasonable policy.

But I'm not surprised that he's

just a little too busy to read up on the topic,

given his troubled relationship history.

How do you know about that?

Has Irene been talkin' to you?

You tell her, I know she's usin' my Super Saver card

and those are my loyalty points!

[quizzical music]

[huffing]

[Medic] So the cop says to me, "You gotta sedate him".

-And I'm like, "No, you." -[siren wailing]

Come on, man, what's this baby doing?

[wires clicking]

-[siren wailing] -[upbeat electronic music]

Hey!

Hey, kid!

[car honking]

-Just rub it, rub it! -[hard electronic music]

Rub it!

Like you're tryin' to get the genie, go, go!

-[percussion shaking] -Harder.

[mouthing drums]

Love it, love it!

Soundin' great!

Oh, wait.

Stop, two seconds, two seconds.

-You missed her. -Oh.

She mad?

-Or. -No, not mad.

More like sad?

What's with the?

I jumped out the back of an ambulance.

Wow, did you film it?

-No. -Oh, shame.

Hey, can I say something?

Sure.

Madison clearly cares a lot about you, okay,

but not in the way you want.

-We feeling each other? -Yeah.

What I'm saying is,

you need to find a way to value that as it is.

You don't wanna be in the business

of makin' anyone love you,

you need to accept love in whatever form it comes.

Wow.

Thanks.

[English accent] Bruv, you're welcome.

-You know in Oxford-- -Don't you dare!

[somber guitar music]

Let me be perfectly clear: though my esteemed opponent

has never held anything vaguely resembling public office,

even he can see this.

RV parks as Kissimmee's past.

Development is the future!

And as your mayor, I intend to deliver that future!

-[Man] Yeah, Bloch! -[crowd applauds]

[whistling]

Candidate Pepper, how do you respond?

I'd like to respond with a little story from my own life.

-[Man] All right. -[Man 2] Okay.

[bird tweeting]

When I was a young boy, a family of wild ducks

was swimming along a stream by my house.

When the smallest and weakest of the ducks was left behind,

I knew I was faced with a terrible choice:

leave that little duckling in the stream

or take it home and face my mother's wrath.

[head banging]

So I took that duckling and put it under my arm

and took it home.

Put it under my bed and I nurtured that little duck

and I feel him foods from my favorite dinners.

And then one day I left the window open

and that duck flew into some power lines.

[crickets chirping]

Let's go to audience questions.

Who'd like to go first, anyone?

I have a question for Mayor Bloch.

[Announcer] Go ahead.

Mayor Bloch, I live in an RV park

and I'd like to know this one thing:

how do you live with yourself?

[clears throat] I beg your pardon?

I'm a recent divorcee and a single mom,

and my fraud of an ex won't pay his dues.

This park sheltered me when I most needed it.

I know I'm meant to be ashamed of it

but I am actually very proud to live here.

[Crowd] Yeah!

So I ask, again: how do you live with yourself?

[crowd applauds]

[Bloch] [clearing throat] Let me just address that.

[Aiden] Mayor Bloch.

-Mayor Bloch. -I.

How do you live with yourself?

This park has given me everything.

When I'm outside of these grounds, I'm just another nobody.

But when I'm here, surrounded by people that I love

and people that love me,

I actually matter.

-[Man] Yeah! -[crowd applauds]

-I appreciate that-- -Mayor Bloch!

I'm here on behalf of the red-throated scrub turkey

and all our native flora and fauna.

Woo woo!

And you ain't takin' our land!

-[Man] Yeah, yeah! -[crowd cheering]

[vigorous applauding]

[Bloch] If there are any concerns--

Please, some decorum, please, just.

Let me just--

Mayor Bloch, I'll field this one.

[Man] Don't drain the swamp!

Like these wonderful people, I too live in an RV park.

And yes, I may be three times divorced, and I may have

a few too many cold ones after a hard day's work.

But I found acceptance here.

I found my equals.

And a Kissimmee without that, a Kissimmee full of snobs,

country clubs and luxury condominiums

is not one I would ever want to live in.

Thank you.

-[wild guitar riff] -[audience cheering]

Oh my, that was wonderful!

[Crowd] Just add Pepper! Just add Pepper!

Just add Pepper! Just add Pepper!

Just add Pepper! Just add Pepper!

Just add Pepper! Just add Pepper!

Just add Pepper! Just add Pepper!

Just add Pepper!

Mal, a word?

I spoke to my team and they seem to feel

that this here Pepper fella

is gonna screw up my majority tomorrow.

So, I've decided to pull back on my redevelopment promises.

Well.

That's interesting.

I take it that will, uh, clear the field?

I'll see what I can do.

[hands clasping]

What?

Herman's agreed the park can stay.

But the people love me.

I'm the "Law & Order" candidate.

Marvin, do you have any idea

how much work is involved in being mayor?

Think of all the phone calls you'd have to make,

the amount of people you'd have to meet,

and imagine, you'd even have to turn up to work on time.

I mean, think about it, would you rather

take on a new and very, very stressful job

or continue living the high life here in my park, huh?

I tell you what, I'd even let you pay your rent a week late.

Let me have "Skivvy Sunday" and you've got a deal.

Candidate Pepper, it's been a pleasure.

-[door slamming] -[laughing]

[singing] I got "Skivvy Sunday", I got "Skivvy Sunday".

-[water rushing] -[seagull screeches]

[laughing]

[light pensive music]

What happened?

Well, I tried to get there on time

but I had a math test and there was an ambulance.

I almost went to hospital but I just out the back.

It's a long story.

Big day.

I know the recording was important to you, I'm sorry.

Yeah, you should be.

Wyatt made me game with Mute Mike.

[laughing]

I don't want you to think that me bailing today

was because of the other night.

I didn't think that.

Why not?

[laughing] Because that would make you a jerk

and you are mostly not one.

Oh.

Right.

-Well, I'm sorry. -Oh, stop apologizing, okay?

I don't care about that.

I just wanted you to stop blanking me

because you're my best friend here.

You're my only friend here.

Wow.

Loser.

[sentimental music]

Thank you good people of Kissimmee.

You ready?

Maybe I should check for typos again.

-Oh, for. [keyboard tapping] -[gasping]

And you've applied!

Hey! [kissing]

Tina, can't believe you'll be going so soon.

Yeah, you've only just got shut with Maureen.

Can I go now?

Going to meet you know who?

[Maureen] Can I give him the tour?

[Mal] No, no, wait 'til he really needs punishing.

I am proud to announce new conservation measures

for these most endangered and unique animals,

the red-throated scrub turkey.

Tina, I think your turkey's on TV.

-What? -Oh.

The dogged campaigning of a student at Kissimmee High

generated county-wide interest in the plot of this, um,

spirited creature.

To celebrate my reelection, I am redistributing

a portion of our budget to obtain land

to establish a wildlife reserve for this noble creature.

-Oh my god! -You did it!

Yale's gonna love that, eh?

-[cheering] -That's great!

The planned reserve will take this land right here.

Certain local businesses will be affected.

Isn't that where the RV park is?

Mal.

No, no, no, no.

[heavy punk rock music]

It's a new day here in Kissimmee.

A brand new day.

Thank y'all and may God bless America.

Herman you two-faced son of a--
