to find his home looking very strange

for new leaves to grow next spring.

now with the cooler weather.

falling off, autumn trees.

I guess autumn leaves can be kind of fun.

It's nice and cosy under all these leaves.

leaves to keep them warm.

I don't think the trees will mind.

- All these leaves are coming unstuck too.

Even the flowers are falling.

But look at all these bright red berries!

On such a lovely autumn morning too.

- I don't like autumn.

Why does everything always have to change?

- That's just how it is in the meadow.

- And anyway if the flowers stayed there,

With each season's changes, there's always something

new and exciting to discover.

- Come on, cheer up Little Nutbrown Hare.

The flowers may have fallen,

but these berries are sparkling and bright!

They certainly are bright and shiny.

- Hey you two!

Ripe autumn apples, fresh off the tree!

- [Together] Oh!

- Mm, looks very juicy.

- Better take a bite and see!

They've just changed into into frogs.

- Well, the little tadpoles have grown

big strong legs and their wiggly little tails

have shrunk and disappeared.

- Hmm More changes?

Autumn changes are everywhere.

- But it's much more fun being a frog than a tadpole,

because now they can jump.

[giggling]

- That's true, being a frog is much, much finer!

- Croak, croak!

[giggling]

- Oh okay.

- [Narrator] Little Nutbrown Hare was a much happier hare

as he raced home for his Autumn feast.

- [Little Nutbrown Hare] Big Nutbrown Hare!

- Did you know that tadpoles grow big legs

and turn into frogs?

[croaking softly]

- Ooh?

- And did you know that if the flowers stayed

on the bushes there'd be no room for berries and fruit?

- Did you say berries and fruit?

- Ooh!

- It looks like you are enjoying autumn after all.

- Ooh mm, I love autumn!

Hm even though the leaves are leaving,

our Oak tree is still here!
