because I like to get pushed around and slapped in the face once in a while.

How was the vibe on the set this go around?

Just in general, how was the vibe? Did everything go smooth?

Because I was involved in the taser scene, that was a classic.

I was on top at the Le Bua Hotel in Bangkok, flew me out there.

The production didn't fly you out there, I flew you out there.

Yeah, but you had miles.

That really bothers me, Zach, when you say you flew me out there to Bangkok.

How do you think it makes me feel?

it's probably the worst thing you can do.

It is pretty common for patients in general, when given a specific diagnosis...

like bi-polar disorder, to resist it.

Not accept what's going on, not accept the recommended treatment.

Why do you want to take pot away from me?

CAMERA (O.S.) Because of the potential for it to be a trigger...

that could push you into another episode...

because you're diagnosed as bipolar.

Bipolar sometimes will exist on a continuum.

Somebody might be able to contain themselves and be very lucid and reasonable...

for a period of time and then be reactive.

Screaming, yelling, being agitated.

So it could go back and forth.

BRODY STEVENS (O.S.): I mean, I never denied that I had a manic episode.

I denied that I'm bipolar. Do yo--

Well, even the doctor said he didn't know if you were bipolar.

You had-- it could have been a combination of being off the meds, having the antibio--

And the jet lag. And the jet lag.

How would you feel if I told you I smoked marijuana?

I'm hoping you're not, but you probably are.

But what happens if I'm feeling good?

I'm not saying I'm addicted to it. I mean, I could have an addiction...

and I know that my psychiatrist and Dr. Tabori...

think that I can't handle it.

What is concerning, is when somebody is taking a lot of medication.

Smoking pot or any other drug on top of that...

just adds to the effectiveness of the medication.

And not necessarily in a positive way.

Give me a break. Who gets angry on pot?

You know what makes me angry?

Having people think I get angry on pot.

Dr. Tabori doesn't like when I yell, but you know what? I'm done seeing her.

Well, is he using the pot that calms you...

or is he using the pot that makes you anxious?

He's using the anxious, I'm getting?

Well, that's the dumbest thing in the world...

for Brody Stevens to be using pot that makes you anxious.

We had an incident yesterday, on the set.

And I did smoke pot in between shoots to celebrate.

Do you think that added to the irritability, maybe?

Um... Somehow? Somehow.

It's possible. Right, it makes some sense.

I don't care. I'm here to work. I'm here to make a show.

You have energy. I mean, like an aggression.

I'm on Lamictal, I'm fine.

But I'm worried that if you don't reel it in, you could get rolling again.

But you're on meds, so it's really unlikely gonna happen on 300 Lamictal.

I'm going here to make a point. Yeah, yeah.

And then I bring it back down, because I'm on Lamictal.

Even with optimal treatment, patients will relapse.

So, even if you're on appropriate mood stabilizers...

it's not a guarantee that you're not going to have another episode.

You heard Dr. Drew?

He just said I take Lamictal, so I'm not gonna have a manic episode. He said that.

I do! I go to my doctors.

Two, three times during the production I yelled...

and I'm getting [BLEEP] a million phone calls?

Almost everyone working with you...

thinks your intensity has gone up in the last two weeks.

That's another one. That's a fact.

Name the times in the two weeks where I was intense?

Because it has become a business relationship, whereas...

I'm not comfortable with that.

We don't hang out like we used to.

And that's, you know...

on a personal level, that bums me out a little bit.

It is hard to make it, without a partner.

It can be your best friend in the world.

It could be a woman, it could be a man, whatever.

To bounce [BLEEP] off of.

And apparently, you know, it sounded like he had a great mother.

And his sister, whatever.

But that's not enough.

Tate is a friend of mine, who I met up in Seattle.

He had kind of the same attitude, it's positive energy, it's good stuff.

It's happiness, let's put out a positive message.

That's what we did for our cable access show.

So, I got into audience warm-up...

and then Teina kind of went his own way.

I built up my professional clout...

to the point where I felt like, Teina, come back.

I got this show. We're gonna do the Brody and Teina.

And then I snap, I went off my meds, I said, "Teina, you're out. Don't come here.

"You're not involved."

He was hurt... by me lashing out.

I'm coming out here to Arizona, to talk at my school...

and Teina lives out here, so you know what?

I'm gonna drive by Teina's house.

You know, Teina, he is Samoan. He could get violent.

I took my acting class right over here, right next door in the other room.

At that point, I knew I had to follow comedy.

That was my strength.

What do you want to be?

I like how she-- actor! I like your demeanor.

So after we take their mug shots, we bring them on down here...

where they wait to be interviewed by the arresting officers.

So I went to Arizona State, lived at Cholla, played baseball, took an acting class.

And then 15 years later, I'm in The Hangover.

It does happen.

I had a great time, you were a great audience.

Well, I didn't get a standing ovation, but that's okay.

Um, I hope it gets back to a conversation level.

That's all I'm looking for, to be honest with you.

I just know he feels hurt... or he's angry.

When I thought that we were going to be writing this show...

and they're making cash every day...

you going off your meds has a-- has set me back a little bit.

It affected my pocket book. It affected my family.

So, it's good to see you, but I kind of need to get back to work.

The voice mails and the angry texts.

I know that I hurt you. I know that I said, "Hey, come out to LA, I've got this show.

"We can get the synergy that we had in the mid-90's."

I'm confident with being the solo artist.

But I am not comfortable with you not being my friend.

I kinda wanted to see, is this guy really doing construction?

Did this guy really get set back? And I can tell, it's not BS.

It did affect you.

Because, yeah, it's a Sunday, and you're working in your yard.
