This is the kind of case that would have haunted me.

This is a poltergeist haunting.

I think he might've been a stalker.

I speak to dead people, and they speak to me.

He will kill you. He has killed people.

But there's only one way to know if my findings are real...

They're being possessed.

So, I'm in one of my favorite cities -- indianapolis.

We're here to try to help a woman named julie.

Now, here's the story.

She and her husband were trying to do a good thing

When they recently adopted their two granddaughters,

But ever since the girls moved in,

Activity has been violent and off the charts.

She sounds pretty shaken up and says she's worried

Someone's gonna get hurt.

Boy.

The emotions here are anxiety

And feelings of intense nervousness.

I did hear somebody whispering in my ear,

Saying "murder" twice.

This is not good.

So, julie, when we spoke on the phone,

It sounded like you were pretty desperate.

What the hell is it like living here?

It's hell.

The activity is just out of control.

Okay. So, who all is living in the house with you?

This is alexis, brieanna, me, and my husband.

So, how old's alexis?

Alexis is 4.

Okay.

Brieanna's 7.

Okay. They're adorable, these kids.

You and your husband have been here...

Almost 20 years.

Has there always been activity?

The whole time,

But it just kind of went crazy after the adoption.

What kind of things are you guys dealing with?

Well, we hear footsteps.

Things are moving on their own.

We're seeing shadow figures.

We have intense mood swings.

And now we're being physically attacked.

What exactly are we talking about?

We're talking about being pushed, poked, prodded,

And it's mainly focused on me and my husband right now,

But I'm afraid it's gonna turn

And start attacking our daughters.

It's terrifying when your children are terrified.

What if we can't fix this

And the only thing you can do is move?

I promised, you know, to protect them at all costs,

No matter what I got to do.

I'd do anything in the world for them.

So, there's a dead woman out here.

I feel like her emotional state is so intense

And filled with fear and sadness.

Her emotions would definitely affect people

'cause they're really raw, really intense.

And what kind of effect?

Fear, paranoia, wanting to run, and then the extreme depression.

I was told, "stop, or there will be some kind of accident."

Okay, so what's going on in here?

There's a lot of anxiety going on in this house.

A lot of my clients talk about having anxiety,

But everybody's got their own feelings that come over them.

What is it for you?

Just scared all the time.

You know, you feel like something bad's about to happen.

Any other emotional things going on?

Yes -- depression, mainly for my husband.

He goes into a mood to where you can't talk to him,

You know, cries all the time.

Okay.

To watch my husband go through this...

Yeah. I know it's tough.

So the anxiety and the depression --

When you guys leave, does it get any better?

Yes.

Our moods and anxieties, like,

Feel like they're gone when we leave the house.

Okay, anything else?

Yes -- things moving on their own all the time.

Okay, like what?

Well, me and my husband were both in the master bathroom.

His shaving razor came flying off at us.

And you're positive no one

Accidentally bumped it off the shelf?

Absolutely.

You're lucky nobody got hurt.

Right.

So, anything else like that happening?

Things missing, you know, disappearing.

Stuff that's disappearing --

How do you know it's not the kids playing games?

Because we put it up out of their reach.

So all this emotional stuff you're going through

And these things flying all over the place,

What do you think that's all about?

I'm unsure. I just know it's evil.

This is wicked bad.

So, I'm seeing living people, major drama,

Yelling and arguing.

What's going on here?

There's a pk manifestation

That seems to have developed from a living male.

Is there any way that might affect the living?

Yes -- objects disappearing, having things thrown at them.

It's just bad.

So, this is where you and your husband sleep?

No. Me and my girls sleep here.

My husband sleeps downstairs.

Whatever is going on won't allow him to sleep up here.

That can't be good for your marriage.

Okay, so what's going on in here?

We're seeing all kinds of shadow figures.

Something you could see through, or is it solid?

It's pretty solid.

So, is anybody else seeing these shadow figures?

Yeah, my husband.

He sees it come down the stairs just about every night.

Have you seen anything else like that?

Children running back and forth, playing.

Exactly where are you seeing these kids?

Right here in the hallway.

What age do you think they are?

I would say probably about 4, 7, somewhere in that age --

Close to my girls, but...

I was gonna ask you, do you think it could have been them?

No. I don't have a boy.

Anything else? The physical attacks.

And what are we talking about? What kind of attacks?

Scratches. Mine are always on my legs.

My husband wakes up with scratches on his back.

Anything else like that happening?

I was sleeping one night with my foot out of the blanket,

And it felt like somebody punched the middle of my foot

So bad that it was on fire.

My husband, he's been pushed down the stairs a few times.

That's dangerous.

Yeah, yeah, and very scary.

So, I do think that the female here has been

Physically attacked by this manifestation.

Do you know how it's attacking her?

Strangling sensation, but she could be, like,

Just walking around and that suddenly happens, you know --

Being, like, grabbed -- like, grabbed and thrown.

Anything else?

Our health is declining,

And it's one thing after another, me and my husband both.

People get sick.

Why do you think it's the paranormal that's causing this?

It's just too much. Okay.

I've had 23 surgeries since I've lived in this house,

And none of them are related to the next one.

I feel like I'm being attacked.

So you guys are dealing with some serious health issues...

Yes, yes.

...I mean, the type that could kill you.

Yeah, and that's what I'm afraid it's gonna do,

And I want to be here to protect our girls.

But what were the circumstances of you adopting your grandkids?

Well, my son-in-law couldn't provide,

You know, a stable environment for these kids,

And neither could she.

So I had to step in.

So did your daughter and son-in-law spend time here?

Yes.

They actually lived here on and off for many, many years.

You've done a good thing taking those girls in.

But it's hard because I'm afraid of my own home,

And it's killing me because I can't protect my family.

Yeah.

Can you tell any more about who this is coming from?

A living male that is either living here or lived here,

Had pk abilities, creating a poltergeist-type haunting

And then created this pk manifestation.

It's physically assaulting her.

Pushing her down the stairs could kill her.

I saw a woman in the hallway.

It was staring at you?

When lexi was in my room playing with a little girl

Doing ring-around-the-rosy, but nobody was there.

So you saw her playing with somebody that wasn't there?

You remember that, honey?

That scares you.

Yeah.

So, you guys like living here with mama and papa?

Yeah. Yes.

They love you guys very much.

Do you know that? Yeah.

So if we can make it where there's no more

Scary things in this house, would you want to stay here?

I'm seeing decomposing dead people.

They're all lined up in order of height.

They were all boys -- five or six boys.

And they're wearing clothes,

But they're all kind of torn and tattered.

The clothes -- like, it all kind of seems the same.

I think they're from a long time ago.

The oldest boy is 14 or 15.

It's hard for him to talk

Because he has dirt in his mouth.

I'm told that they did not die together,

But they died one after the other pretty quick.

And I'm getting that they don't trust adults.

So, dave, your wife called us in

Because she feels whatever is in this house is dangerous,

Especially for the grandkids.

I mean, what are your thoughts on that?

Yes. Okay.

Yes, indeed.

Now, did you believe in the paranormal before

All this stuff started? no.

No. I was a real disbeliever.

And everything that's happened to me --

Yeah, I'm a believer now.

Some of the experiences you've had.

You'll hear -- constantly hear footsteps

Running across the floors.

Could it have been one of the kids?

No, nobody was home at the time, just me.

Is there anything else?

Well, one time when I was home vacuuming,

Coming out of the bedroom was little children's footprints,

And I'd just vacuumed.

And nobody else was in the house.

Julie had mentioned that she saw a boy and a girl.

Yes, in the upstairs hallway is where they like to play,

And when I've seen them,

They were dressed in some old clothing.

That's strange.

The boys are here because they want help.

Do you know if the living would have any interactions?

Yes.

I totally think that the people see them constantly.

I believe that they hear them.

They're also protective,

And they don't want the children here --

The living children -- to die like they did.

The adults are afraid of them.

The dead kids hate them.

Why do they hate them?

They feel like they're gonna harm the kids.

They scare the **** out of the adults to stay away.

So, dave, are there any other experiences

You could tell me about?

Mostly up in the bedroom.

Every time I sleep up there, I get scratched.

So, your wife had mentioned to me about the scratches, as well.

She also told me you got pushed. Tell me about that.

I was starting down the stairs,

And I was literally pushed, and there was nobody there.

And you didn't slip or anything like that?

No, no -- 'cause it came from above,

And I went down this way.

You're lucky you didn't break your neck.

I could have died. I mean, it's a long way down.

Yeah. Yeah.

What if amy says you guys got to get the hell out of here?

Then I guess we're gonna get the hell out of here

Because I took a vow to protect those two little girls,

And that's exactly what I intend to do.

I know it's not easy talking about it, either, dave.

No, I'm just worried about my girls.

Can I get a minute?

Yeah, absolutely, sure.

I saw panic, crying, chaos.

A lot of the anger is out here from a living person.

I'm getting, like, a male -- kind of heavier-set, I think.

There is so much fear, and he is punching the walls.

Maybe he's venting out here or something.

I don't know what's going on with this person.

Yeah, he, like, can't control himself.

He's, like, losing his mind.

He doesn't know what to do, has just had it -- just had it.

Very clear, a male voice -- "it's a roller coaster,

And once you start the ride, you can't stop it or get off."

I don't feel good here.

I don't feel good here, and I don't know why.

I don't like it. I want to get out.

So, as soon as I get to town,

The first call I make is to the local cops.

And this time, it paid off.

I'm headed over to the local sheriff's office

Because one of the guys knows

All about my client's neighborhood

And says he found a bizarre homicide

That took place right on julie's property.

Well, colonel, I appreciate you helping me out with this case.

So, that homicide that happened on my client's property,

What can you tell me about it?

At the time of the homicide,

The family farm was owned by a guy named isaac sutton.

Okay, so our buddy isaac here --

Who did he live on that farm with?

So, he had several homes on the property.

A lot of his extended family lived on the property, too.

The home where the homicide happened belonged to

Isaac's mother-in-law, sara.

All right. The homicide -- what happened?

So, on the night of March 7, 1887,

There was reports of somebody walking around the property

Going door-to-door to look for,

You know, money, shelter, food, whatever they could get.

He was dingy, dirty.

Came to the conclusion that he's not from the area,

Probably homeless.

All right, so, we got a vagrant running around and trying to get

Anything he can from people that live in the area?

Yes.

Isaac, just as a precaution,

Sends his 23-year-old son, cornelius,

Over to the mother-in-law's house -- sara's house --

To make sure things were gonna be okay.

All right, so, I can see where this is going.

So, what happened?

It's a little after midnight. This guy did show up.

Cornelius hears this, wakes up, and then grabs a gun.

Then he fires a shot from a small-caliber pistol

From inside the residence out the window to scare the guy off.

So the next morning, they wake up.

They walk outside and find the guy dead on their property

With a bullet hole shot in his chest.

Police came out and ruled it self-defense.

Have they got a name on this guy?

Henry mcavoy.

Henry mcavoy.

They ended up working him back to a marion county workhouse.

He escaped from this facility.

What made this guy escape? Do we have any idea?

It was rough living conditions.

And a year after this facility opened,

They did an article on that,

And here's the article that they wrote on that

With all of the horrible conditions that took place.

Schoolboy in prison stripes, okay.

I can understand why this guy

Wanted to get the hell out of there.

There's a man behind me.

He's got a double-barrel shotgun, this guy.

He's wearing thick jeans.

He's about 5-foot-9-- cowboy boots and hat.

He's white.

I would say he's probably in his 40s.

It's a guy that I would picture, like, straight out of texas.

You know what I'm saying?

But we're not in texas.

And he was, like, a ranch owner.

I mean, I don't know where the boys come in,

But I heard, you know, wayward boys.

He is a bad man, abuser.

He, like, basically made them work

All the time, these children.

It seems like he just kind of

Worked them to death, you know...

...And was abusive in all different ways

With these boys, specifically.

And he's kicking them into the graves.

So, one of the local genealogists has called me

And says he found something really strange.

Turns out, the original owner

Suffered a lot of death and tragedy on the land,

And each one of those deaths involved the number 11.

Sounds a little woo-woo to me,

But I want to see what this is all about.

So, john, I appreciate you helping me out

With my case here.

So, on the phone, you mentioned that the guy

That owned my client's property went through a lot of suffering.

What do we know about this guy, and when did he get here?

Well, his name was henry alcorn.

He bought his first piece of property in indiana

In about 1821.

He was an irish immigrant,

Came out here prospecting land, and ended up farming.

Do we know anything about this guy,

What kind of guy he was?

The history books say that he was an eccentric.

Okay.

He was stern.

They say that he didn't have a real great sense of humor.

All right, john.

So let's get to the death and the suffering

And this weird thing with the number 11.

What's the story with that?

If a man could have an unlucky number,

Henry's unlucky number was 11.

First death was his wife, frances.

She died in 1832, and she was 32 years old.

Okay.

They had been married about 11 years.

Shortly after that, around 1835,

His first son, henry jr., died when he was 11 years old.

All right, so that's two things with the number 11.

I mean, it could be a coincidence.

Well, after that, he marries a young lady

By the name of sally mcclintock, and she died in 1847.

They were also married 11 years.

11 years. all right.

So nobody told this woman,

"don't stay with this guy past 10 years?"

Apparently not.

He went on and married a third wife, by the name of nancy.

Okay.

And she died after 11 years of marriage.

So three wives die at 11 years of marriage for the guy.

His son dies at 11.

How'd this guy deal with all this death?

Henry was a pretty religious guy.

1854, he and his son-in-law founded a presbyterian church

There on his property.

What happened to him?

He lives a pretty long life...

Okay. ...About 87 years.

He ends up being buried at the church that he founded.

Okay. So he's buried on my client's original property? Yes.

All right, so one of these stones is henry's grave.

Yes.

Do we know who the other ones are?

They're his first wife and his last wife and his son.

A sad story with this guy. It's a shame.

There's another dead guy up here.

He's sad in here.

I want to cry.

And then I'm hearing, over and over again,

This guy saying, you know,

"in the name of the father, son, and the holy ghost."

Can you tell anything about this guy in life?

He was older.

He's like, "like I said, I lived here for a long time --

Like 40 years."

I feel sick with him.

I think he had a wife, but he doesn't want to talk about it.

He's depressed. He wants to leave.

So I'm thinking maybe the house was there.

Like, I tried to talk to him about his wife.

He didn't want to talk about her.

He doesn't want to talk --

He doesn't really want to talk about anything

Except for that he needs to get the **** out of here.

On a property where a homeless man was shot and killed.

But I need to see if there's anything else.

Searching through old records,

I find the horrific story about a young girl

Who was brutally murdered in 1984.

As it turns out, key evidence in this case

Was found very close to julie and dave's property.

So, I'm headed out to meet my old friend and author

David domine.

Now, he looked into this homicide for me

And says this case was full of twists and turns.

Well, david, it's good to see you again.

So, this homicide -- what do you know about the victim?

Well, your victim was an 11-year-old girl.

Her name was peggy sue altice.

She was about 5 feet tall, and she had blondish-brown hair.

What a cute kid.

All right, so, what do we know about the murder?

It was November 12, 1984.

Peggy sue's mother left late that afternoon.

When she came back that night, peggy sue was gone.

Right away, her mother was kind of suspicious.

She alerted the police.

Five days later, hunters in the next county over found

Peggy sue's nude body lying in the snow.

She had been held down and raped,

Repeatedly stabbed, and her throat was slashed.

Geez.

Now, you mentioned on the phone there were some twists and turns in this case.

Yeah.

From that point forward, things start to get crazy really fast.

So, just a couple days after they found her body,

Peggy sue's 24-year-old cousin killed himself.

Right away, this aroused suspicion.

The police investigated, but they were never able

To really connect him to the murder.

But what happened is, they started zeroing in

On other family members,

And they found out peggy sue's brother-in-law

Had a record of sexually assaulting her.

There was a trial.

He was eventually convicted of murder.

He went to prison for life, but then we have another twist.

Eventually, dna evidence exonerated him.

And in 2000, he was released after 14 years in prison.

all right.

So back to square one, basically, right?

That's right.

The thing is, the dna led them to someone else --

A guy named joseph mccormick. Okay.

And he eventually was tried for the murder,

But they weren't able to pin the murder on him.

They were able to convict him of rape,

But get this -- he only got six years.

The thing is, he talked, and he said other people were involved.

And one of these people involved was a guy named kenneth munson.

And munson, at the time, was living at the property

Right next door to where your clients are.

Okay. So now what?

They went and they tore the place up.

They started digging, and they did find clothing

And they found her shoes,

But they never did find the murder weapon. All right.

So they wind up convicting munson for the murder?

They did try munson,

But they weren't able to convict him of the murder, either.

They got him on battery, and, once again, six years.

So today, officially, this murder is still unsolved.

This is the kind of case that would have haunted me...

...When I was on the job, you know? Yeah.

I'm getting nervous. I'm getting real nervous.

I feel really uncomfortable walking by this place.

I'm seeing that depressed woman again.

I think she was murdered.

She is running -- running away, saying,

"I have to get away, or he will get me."

She has a baby face, large, brown, round eyes.

And I feel, like, a stabbing sensation

In my abdomen below my ribcage.

She is laying facedown in the dirt, looking at the grass.

And any idea when this was?

1990s.

She relives her death over and over again.

It was not on this land.

She's extremely sad, and she is laying,

You know, dying, and she's crying.

I saw several disturbing things on my walk,

But the pk manifestation attacking the living

Concerns me the most.

There was a male and a female that were in the bed.

The female is being strangled.

He is kind of on the thinner side.

Okay.

Amy, is this what you saw?

Yes.

Now that amy and I have completed our investigations,

We're ready to reveal our findings to each other

And our clients for the first time.

So, amy, I would like you to meet julie,

And this is her husband, dave.

Now, they've lived in this house for about 20 years,

And they've always had activity.

But a couple of years ago,

They adopted their adorable grandchildren.

This is brieanna, who's 7, and this is lexi, who's 4.

Now, ever since the girls moved in,

Activity has gotten more and more violent,

And neither one of them think it's safe

For anybody to be here.

So now that amy knows a little bit about what's going on,

Let's talk about her walk.

The first thing that I came into contact with

Was actually a group of dead boys.

They did range in age from about 7 to 14.

I got that they were from quite some time ago.

They all had on the same tattered clothing,

And I got that they did not die at the same time,

And they did not die here,

But each one of them died from a similar cause.

They had lined themselves up in a row,

And there was a guy behind them with a gun,

And he was kicking them into unmarked graves.

He seemed like a jailer or, like, a keeper.

I got that he, unfortunately, abused these boys.

He had worked them to death.

So, there's something I came across in my research

That I think we ought to know about.

Back in the late 1800s,

There was a workhouse down the road from here.

Here's an article about it.

So, in the article, it talks about guards with guns

Abusing young boys in the workhouse,

Kind of like what you described earlier.

****. Okay.

So is it possible that those boys you ran into

Could be from this workhouse?

Yes.

Wow.

So sad.

They were drawn to this location

Because they became attracted to the children here,

The living children.

They were afraid that these kids could be abused,

And they're here to protect them.

I do feel that, on occasion, the living may see them.

I've seen a little boy and a little girl upstairs.

I've literally followed them down the hallway,

And they go into the one bedroom on that side of the house.

And once I get in there, they're gone.

Interesting.

You also may hear them.

The living kids are interacting with them.

They are talking with them.

I used to sit here with the baby monitor

And listen to lexi play with these kids.

And the minute I'd walk up, it's, "who are you talking to?"

"well, that was my friend, but you can't see him."

You know, what I thought was pretty interesting

Is when you vacuumed.

Tell amy that story. - I vacuumed upstairs.

There were three footprints.

No shoes -- you could see the toe marks.

That makes sense.

So, now, is all this stuff caused by these dead boys?

More than likely, yeah.

Because of their own personal issues

And what they went through

And their need to protect these living children,

They're aggressive towards adults.

My goodness.

Maybe now just tell amy a little bit why you have the kids.

'cause my daughter and son-in-law

Couldn't be the parents that they needed to be,

And somebody had to step up and take them, so we did.

Yeah.

These boys want to protect the girls here from any adults.

Correct.

And they're targeting them

'cause they're the only adults here.

Right.

And these boys don't realize

That we are trying to protect them.

Right.

right.

So, what else did you encounter?

The next dead person that I encountered was a male.

This guy is extremely depressed.

The things that I was able to get

Was that, at one point, he owned the land.

He stated that he lived here for a very long time,

Like over 40 years.

He indicated he was pretty old when he died,

Probably in his 70s.

I did ask him about his wife.

He didn't want to talk about her.

What his whole thing was,

Was that he, frankly, just wants to get the hell out of here.

I think that living people would experience

His emotions and his energy,

So that would be things like depression and paranoia.

- You all right, buddy? - Yep.

She hit a nerve with the depression?

Yeah.

It just came on all of a sudden.

It stopped me from working.

It stopped me from going out of my own home.

Wow. Okay.

Well, that would explain maybe some of what

You're going through.

Some of the things amy said reminded me of the first guy

Who lived on this property.

Now, his name was henry alcorn,

And he started a farm here in 1821.

Alcorn suffered a lot of death

In his time on the property here,

And it all had a weird connection to the number 11.

In 1832, henry's first wife died on the property

After 11 years of marriage.

Then in 1835, one of his sons died at the age of 11.

He remarried.

And the second wife died in 1847 after 11 years of marriage.

Wow. So this guy marries a third time.

You'd think the word would have got out -- don't marry him.

But he lost his wife in 1861, also on the property,

And believe it or not, it was at 11 years of marriage.

So, now, what he did to help to deal with all this loss,

He founded a church on the property.

In addition to the church, there was a cemetery,

Which is right down the block,

And you could see it when you drive up.

Told you I knew that cemetery had something to do with this.

He's buried up there, two of his wives,

And the 11-year-old son.

Interesting.

Anything else?

Throughout my walk, I kept getting waves

Of negative emotions,

Actually coming from a living male who is an empath.

This male, to me, seemed to be around the age of 40.

He had short hair and was on the heavier side,

And I got that he either lived here now or recently.

Either way, his emotions and his energy are very present,

And they're affecting this location

In an extremely negative way.

I don't know what's going on with this person.

Yeah, he, like, can't control himself.

He's, like, losing his mind.

He is punching the walls.

Just had it -- just had it.

The next thing I saw was him arguing with a female upstairs.

The bad thing was, was that this living male

Who was an empath also has pk abilities.

So all of these negative emotions from this male

Have now manifested into a separate entity.

This is commonly known as a poltergeist haunting.

My god.

I think you and I have an idea who she might be describing.

I believe it's my son-in-law.

- And how old is he? -37.

37, 38.

He has been convicted of battery and theft. What?

He's the reason we have the girls.

He's the reason why.

Damn.

I'm sorry. I'm not.

I got two beautiful little girls out of the deal,

But now I'm just trying to figure out how to protect them.

So, now, I've heard you talk about pk manifestations before,

But how would this one affect them?

One thing is, items might randomly disappear,

Things being thrown at you, like objects.

- The razor. - A razor blade?

Yeah, we were in the bathroom together

Getting ready for work one morning,

And they just shot off the mirror

And came right past our faces.

You could also see this, and it would probably look like a --

More of a male, human-form shape, but shadowy.

I was coming out of the bedroom and coming down,

And I got to the top of the stairs,

And I was pushed -- literally two hands in my back.

Mine's always on the bottom of my legs,

Like, on the side of my calves, and it feels like burning.

I felt like this thing was attacking

A living woman here constantly.

Well, I've had 23 surgeries, from an aneurysm

To a bowel rupture

To blowing my knee out for no reason.

I did have a sketch done of what I was perceiving of you

Being attacked by the pk manifestation.

You're not gonna want to see this.

So, this is a bucket of bad.

This thing is extremely well-developed.

It has the power to kill.

The safe, stable environment that they deserve?

There's a lot going on here,

But you have elements that can be taken care of.

What I'm going to propose here is to bring in a team,

And this will include several sensitives

Who have different types of abilities,

And then they're going to do everything

That needs to be done.

First off, the dead boys will be relatively easy to move on

Once they feel that the girls are safe.

As far as with the pk manifestation,

The team, they'll cut the tie to the living agent.

Once that happens, it will leave on its own.

Will they start to feel better?

Yes.

So, what are your thoughts on the whole thing?

I hope it can be fixed.
