Everything was built on blood.

I see dead people.

Very disturbing.

I speak to dead people.

There's victims around him.

Ow! And they speak to me.

Her voice sounds like death.

But there's only one way to know

if my findings are real.

The living don't stand a chance here.

This house is going to kill me.

I'm in the city of Connie, Missouri.

It's about a half hour outside of Kansas City.

I got a call from a guy who says that things are so bad

his wife and three daughters refuse to be home alone.

He's trying to be brave, but he told me

he's been cut and even thrown against the wall.

He says if we don't help him out, he thinks somebody's gonna get killed.

Before Amy arrives,

I clear the house of any leading information.

Artwork, family photos,

even religions icons can influence her findings,

so it's important I remove them all.

When I'm finished tonight's walk can begin.

This feels weird-- I don't like this, I don't like this.

I feel terribly ill in here.

There are three, uh,

main dead people here.

The one that I'm gonna talk about right now, she's very active.

She's a problem.

She is making somebody very ill, mentally and physically,

so she'll eat the person's body, basically,

and then eat their mind.

So Lance, when we spoke on the phone you sounded pretty distraught.

What the hell are you guys going through?

My family's just terrified-- I'm terrified.

I don't know what to do or where to turn.

All right. So, who's living in the house?

Here's a picture of my family.

This is my wife, Jennifer.

That's our daughter, Chloe, she's 17.

That's Heidi, she's 12, and that's Emi, she's 8.

All right, so what are you guys going through here?

Uh, we're hearing a woman scream.

Things are moving on their own.

We see apparitions, and now things are just getting violent,

and I'm afraid someone's gonna get hurt.

Had anybody try to come in. Have you done any proactive stuff?

Yeah, we had a paranormal team come out and investigate.

The lead guy, he said "We gotta get out of here, it's not safe",

and they packed up everything and left.

So what do you think may be here?

Hell. Plain, old fashioned hell.

I'm worried about my kids.

It's heartbreaking when my daughter,

Emi--

when she comes running to me screaming, crying

and there's nothing I can do to protect her.

Nothing. I can see it's upsetting you.

I am the first and last line of defense

and I-- I can't do anything.

There's a male here who hates this dead girl.

Uh, this is a living male,

and she wants his acceptance.

She tries to talk to him-- he does not hear her.

She also feels like she's not getting a lot of attention,

and she's also extremely jealous of any attention

he gives anybody else which is not good.

It's bad.

All right-- so, what's going on?

This drawer right here... Right?

...one day it just would open,

and it would close,

and it would open and it would close,

and I was in the back bedroom... Okay.

...working, and I kept hearing it.

I just decided you know what? I'm just gonna try to get it on video.

All right, so did you actually get anything?

Yeah, I did.

I want you to take a look at it.

Either you're a big time scam artist and you me,

or you got a serious problem here.

I got a very serious problem.

Anything else going on in this place, or in the kitchen area?

One time I was in the kitchen

and I was cleaning the kitchen

and a knife flew off the counter

and cut me in the arm

and flew onto the wall right down there.

Cut you? Yeah. This is the picture.

I was petrified.

It's gotten to the point this is violent.

What if it would have been Emi?

This dead lady, her reality is very physical.

She's aware of walls and you know,

chairs and things like that which also means

she can interact with these things if she wants to.

But this causes issues for the living.

So Lance, it's pretty obvious this space bothers you.

Oh, yeah. I hate it.

I hate this basement.

I hate it with a passion.

So, have you had experiences down here?

Well, I mentioned that we brought in another paranormal team in here.

Something happened that just, really just shook me up--

I-- it just scared me to death.

Okay, what happened?

I was picked up and thrown up against that wall,

right there, and I didn't know any of it happened.

I came to, and they said "You got picked up--

lifted up into the air and just thrown up against the wall."

I don't remember any of it.

Ever suffered from a seizure or anything like that before?

No. Never.

And there has been another thing.

If I come down here by myself,

and if I'm gonna leave out that door, that door slams right in front of me.

Let me just make this perfectly clear to you.

If I find out you me, and I will, 'cause Amy's doing her walk.

If you guys are me, I'm gonna really be pissed and we're gonna have a problem.

If not, and everything you told me is legit,

this is probably one of the worst cases we worked on.

It's not I'm scared to death for my kids.

I'm scared to death for my wife. I feel hopeless.

I want to know what this is and how do I get rid of it?

The dead woman, she likes to break down the physical aspect of a person.

She wears down their body and she feeds off of it.

And the other thing is, like,

the mental deterioration.

She feeds off their memories.

She's, like, stealing memories.

It's really weird,

and it's all energy for her,

so that's really scary.

I have never seen a dead personal feed like that.

So, Jennifer, I was talking with your husband, Lance,

and I gotta tell ya, he's either the best actor in the world

or you guys got a serious problem.

We do have a problem, definitely.

As far as experiences go, what about yourself?

I was standing over here, and I saw an apparition

of a man looking into the mirror so I saw his reflection.

Okay, can you describe what you saw?

He was wearing a T- shirt-- blue T-shirt and he just had his head down.

All right, so anything else going on?

One night I was sleeping and I got woke up

because my legs slammed into the bed so hard

that I felt like they had to have been up high

and then thrown down.

Did you hear or see anything?

Hm-nh, but sometimes I'll get woke up

and I'll have scratches on my neck

and my arms will have fingerprints, bruises.

Now my understanding is that you breed dogs.

How many do you have here at any given time?

We usually have 20.

20? Yeah.

Okay, so is it possible one of the dogs might have scratched you

in the middle of the night that came in through the house, or?

No, they don't sleep with us.

I don't like this room.

Mn-nm. I don't like it, at all.

There's this guy, uh, and he's a weirdo.

He's wearing a big ol' hat, but he is-- he's like a shadow hat man.

The hat man comes in here a lot

and he's in the back corner, specifically.

And he's waiting and watching.

Very creepy.

And he feels trapped by whoever stays in here.

Do you think the person he's fixated on is in danger?

Yes. I do, because...

he hates them.

So, anything else?

Um, everyone in the family is having stomach pain,

we have, just,

a lot of emotional issues

and we have depression.

There's a lot more fighting going on between family members,

the kids, me and my husband.

You thinkin' this is all paranormal?

Oh, yeah.

So Jennifer, who do you think is here?

I have a friend that we were very close

and she passed away about a year ago.

Okay, so how'd she pass?

What happened? I was told she overdosed.

Did she have a problem or is it something that was accidental?

She was extremely depressed and having a lot of family problems.

She always was here, she was Aunt Jackie, and she loved my kids and I think of her.

I get sad, and I just...

I- I just love her. I love her so much.

I feel her.

I just feel her in my emotions.

I feel her presence.

The chick is, you know, she's kinda chaos.

Like, my brain doesn't feel right in here.

It's like she does something, literally,

to a person's brain or something.

They get sick.

She can cause a lot

of different illnesses

when she latches on to somebody,

so that's really scary.

I talked to your father and your mom,

and things are pretty messed up here. Yeah.

After speaking with Lance and Jennifer,

I'm meeting with their girls to see if they're having

the same kinds of problems here.

I was sound asleep one night and I just remember

waking up feeling like I couldn't move.

I felt smothered.

I felt paralyzed with fear.

Any sense of what it could have been?

Someone who's a little bit bigger than me.

Someone who's trying to scare me a little bit.

Definitely someone who could hold me down.

Turns out, each one of them has

some damn good reasons to be terrified of this house.

There was this one experience where I was

in my dining room,

and there was a pumpkin

and I looked at the pumpkin, and then I looked away

and when I looked back the pumpkin was flying in the air,

and it flew from the dining room to the living room.

But it's the little one, Emi, who's getting the worst of it.

One time when I was in my bedroom,

I was getting ready to go to bed and I just hear,

like, the door knob just keeps turning

and turning like somebody's opening door trying to

get in the door, like, it's locked or something.

So you saw it turning but nobody was there?

Yeah. And how long did it last?

5 seconds. Okay, then it stopped?

Yeah.

It was like, one... two...three...four...five.

Anything else?

I saw the girl.

She was by, um, the corner of the bathroom.

Okay.

And she was crying, and I actually drew a picture of her.

You did?

Yeah, and she was crying.

Emi, is this her hair?

Yeah, it was really long.

Can you hear her sobbing?

Um, yeah I just heard, like, a little bit of crying.

Just a little bit.

Yeah.

Do you want to leave here so you don't have these problems anymore?

I would be happy if we moved

so this would never happen again.

But, um...

if you can fix it and get everything out of this house,

Mmhm. I could be fine with that.

That girl specifically only opens bedroom doors.

Two, in particular, that she focuses on.

But there's one person, in particular,

that she is physically harming,

more than likely, it's out of the jealousy thing

that she's got going on.

I feel like the girl

is, like,

on this person's neck

and the back of their head.

It's causing impulsive behaviors.

So is this the person that she's jealous of?

Uh, yes.

Is the one that she's fixating on?

Yes.

What does she want to do to this person?

Well, she would be happy if this person died,

but she's going to torture them until they do.

So, the first call I made when I got to town was to the cops-- no luck.

There aren't a lot of homicides in this town and none on my client's property.

But my next call panned out.

I'm on my way to meet a local professor

who says the original owner of the land

had ties to a gang of confederate terrorists

called the Quantrill Raiders.

So doctor, I understand that the original owner of my client's property,

William Wade, had relatives that served with the Quantrill Raiders.

What can you tell me about them?

Well, they were a pro-confederate guerilla group

that operated in Western Missouri.

How bad were these guys?

They were pretty bad.

Their most notorious operation took place in August of 1863.

Uh, when they rode 40 miles into Kansas

and sacked the town of Lawrence.

They attacked the town and killed all the men

and boys of military age, about 180 altogether.

All right. So these guys were pretty ruthless. Indeed.

Out front there were a lot of people walking

back and forth and back and forth and back and forth.

I saw, like...two, like, shadow figure things...

in the yard.

They were, kind of, aggressive.

They wanted to, like, physically hurt me, like,

hit me or strangle me, attack me.

They definitely viewed me as a threat.

Do you think they could be dangerous to people?

Yes, I do.

I feel like if somebody's outside, out front

they could get hurt.

So doctor, I understand that the original owner of my client's property,

William Wade had relatives that may have been

in this Quantrill gang? Indeed, he did.

So, who led this gang?

They served in a guerilla organization commanded

by William T. Anderson, otherwise known as "Bloody Bill."

How bad was this guy?

Here's a newspaper report talking about

how it went to this Union sympathizer's house,

and he essentially tortured the guy to death.

He cut off his nose, cut off his ears,

riddled the body full of bullets until the gentleman finally died.

So as far as William Wade's relatives

that served under Bloody Bill, do we know who they were?

There were three of them. Okay.

One was his brother, David.

And that's him standing up there in the picture.

Okay.

The other two were his nephews, Samuel and Newton.

All right, so what winded up happening to these guys?

David survives the war, however Newton is killed in September 1864

in an engagement at Fayette, Missouri,

while Samuel was killed in early 1865.

Okay, so the guy that owned my client's property,

his brother survived, but both of his nephews

were killed by Union soldiers? Yes.

What about Bloody Bill?

As you might imagine, Union authorities really wanted to get this guy.

In 1864, they managed to track down Bloody Bill Anderson

near a town called Albany, Missouri,

which is near Kearney. Okay.

Now during the fighting that took place,

Bloody Bill ordered a charge

on the Union forces and he ended up killed. Okay.

Now, he was so notorious, Union authorities

wanted people to know "this guy is dead."

And then they made a point of taking a picture with the body

so that people knew that Bloody Bill was gone

and he was not coming back.

The hat man comes in here a lot,

and he's in that corner, specifically.

Anything about him in life?

I just know he was from Western time.

He has on, like, a duster-- a cloak-thing,

uh, and uh, and uh, hat.

He rode a horse.

I just think he was really tough

and might have done some bad things.

He didn't die in the house or anything like that.

Um, I-- so I don't get--

I don't understand why he's here.

It doesn't make any sense,

and it doesn't feel right.

It doesn't feel like he should be here.

This hat guy,

there's something about fire, guns,

and entrapment,

and I feel like

he was trapped.

I think that he was transported here.

Maybe that's why

he doesn't like the person in that room.

I think this person

somehow...

trapped him.

So far, I've got a family being tormented by bizarre activity

on a property where the original owner lost relatives

who were part of a Confederate gang,

but I need to see if there's anything else.

Searching through old records,

I find an article about a 45 year old woman

who died on my client's land in 1921.

But here's the weird part,

all of the official paperwork which would list her cause of death is gone.

I'm heading over to meet with a private investigator

who promised to look at this strange case for me.

We're you able to find out anything about this woman

who died mysteriously on my clients property?

Her name was Etta Davis... Okay.

...and she married a guy named Charlie Williams Peterson 1901.

When did they move onto my client's property?

That same year.

Charlie bought the land from his father, Nimrod Peterson.

Now did the father stay on the property after he sold it to Charlie?

He did. He stayed on the property and he died on the property.

He died when he was 70 years old.

The obituary names his cause of death as dropsy.

You know, I've heard dropsy before, but what the hell is it?

It, actually, is a backup of fluid due to congestive heart failure.

Okay.

There's this other elderly man who died.

This is the third main dead person in the house.

He was probably in his late 60s, early 70s,

and I'm seeing him walking down the hall,

like all, kinda hunched.

That's just residual,

and I'm getting something about breathing problems,

and he died in bed.

So, I know Etta died in 1921,

and other than the obit, I couldn't find any records anywhere.

We're you able to find anything?

No. There was no death certificate of her,

and there were no church records or funeral home records

recording her death or the cause of the death.

When did Missouri start keeping death records?

Missouri officially started documenting deaths in 1910,

so there should have been a death certificate.

Any reason you can think of

that they might not have had a death certificate for her?

Well, often when I see this for one of two reasons,

the first being mental illness.

Mental illness was kinda shameful for the family.

They didn't want to broadcast it, so they might have kept it a secret.

Okay.

The second reason would have been for suicide.

The issue is for suicide, the church cemetery

would not have allowed a burial on their site.

So are you saying the family could have kept a death certificate

from coming out to protect her reputation?

Well, it just so happens that Etta's cousin

was the coroner and sheriff of Clay County at that time.

That makes sense.

I'm seeing the jealous dead woman again.

Do you have any idea who she was in life?

She's young.

She belongs here.

I think she died here.

She feels like her death was a mistake.

It shouldn't have happened.

She regrets it very much.

This makes me think,

you know, uh-- like, suicide.

You know, what would you regret? You know, suicide.

I saw several dead people on my walk,

but two concerned me the most.

First, the man who is angry because the living have trapped him.

He was, like,

over 6'5".

His shoulders were broad.

He was all black.

Next, I described the dead woman

attacking a living person in the back bedroom.

She was very thin.

She had the other person

by their neck.

Her head was up, like that,

and her hair was just all over her.

Amy, is this what you saw?

Yes. That's what I saw.

Now that Amy and I have completed our investigations,

we're ready to reveal our findings to each other

and our clients for the first time.

So Amy, we got two possibilities here,

either Lance and Jennifer

are puttin' one over on us,

or they got some serious problems here.

'Cause the stuff they told me, to be honest, it's out there.

They live here with their three beautiful daughters.

This is Chloe, she's 17.

This is Heidi, who's 12.

This is Emi, who's 8.

Now, everybody is being affected,

but Lance is convinced that if we don't help them somebody is gonna get killed.

Okay, so now that Amy knows a little bit about your family,

and the dynamics, I'm gonna ask her to tell us about her walk.

I was out front

and I saw

the path

and there's people

walking, walking, walking,

and then, all of a sudden,

these two black figures just charge me...

whoosh!

Right up in my face,

and they were really solid,

very physical and aggressive.

I do feel like if somebody was in their way out there,

they could assault them, physically.

I saw somebody in the back,

and he was in a military uniform.

Could you tell what kind of a uniform?

It was a Civil War era uniform

and I went around to see if--

if he come out the other side. There was nobody there.

Interesting.

So then I'm in the house,

and I saw a male

who was projecting himself

to be extremely large,

and the feeling I got from him

was he was from the Old West.

It's possible the living here would see him

as a shadow figure with a hat.

He's extremely physical.

The area that he stays in the most

is the open bedroom area.

That's where you guys stay?

Yeah.

His thing is

he feels like somebody in that room

trapped him here, and he is pissed.

Someone living trapped him here?

Yes. Somebody living

and he is concocting

malicious ways

of taking vengeance upon that person.

I was sleeping in bed, and I was awoken

because my legs slammed into the bed,

both of them.

Just, bam!

Now you wake up with scratches and bruises, too, right?

I have had fingerprints on my arms here.

You think it's this guy?

Yes.

So, now you said this guy feels trapped.

Now, Lance do me a favor and tell Amy who you brought in.

We had a paranormal team come out,

and they packed up and left in the middle of the night,

because they were too scared.

I'm like, "No, no, no, no,

you can't just piss everything off and leave."

So I made them cleanse the house.

Okay, so that doesn't sound good.

Maybe they did a botched cleansing and that trapped him.

Ohhh.

So, being in that room,

I think, would be uncomfortable

because he stands in the corner

and he stares.

So, I had a sketch done of what I saw.

Oh!

I don't know if I'd sleep in that bedroom after seeing this.

That's the guy.

This is just like a figure that I saw.

He was a taller guy.

It was in twilight, and I am just like, why the hell is somebody on the property?

And that's the guy.

That's him.

Interesting.

Did you get anything on this guy in life?

All I could get, again, was Western times,

the big old hat.

I did get something about a fire,

and guns, and that he rode a horse.

He did some bad things when he was alive

and the other thing was

that he did not die in the house.

Now, it's not a ton to go on,

but I'm thinking about this bad guy and the shadow man,

you were talking about earlier, that threatened you.

Now, during the Civil War,

there was a gang of terrorists called the Quantrill Raiders,

and they had a direct connection to the property.

Now, this area was under Union control during the Civil War,

but the Quantrill Raiders operated here.

They were pro-Confederate and very violent.

At that time, your property was owned by a guy

named William Wade.

Now, three of William Wade's family members joined this gang.

I actually have a photo of them.

This is his brother, David and his two nephews.

This is Newton and Samuel.

Now, David survived, but both nephews got killed

running with these guys and the leader of the gang

was called William Anderson,

better known as "Bloody Bill."

Now this guy was a maniac.

He committed all kinds of atrocities.

This is "Bloody Bill" when he was running around

doing some pretty nasty stuff.

Okay, does any of this help explain who the dead guy in the hat might be?

Honestly, the only one that jumped out at me was this dude.

That's David, the brother of William Wade

who was the original property owner.

It could be him.

Now, do you believe that this paranormal group

is the one that trapped this hat guy?

I think they accidentally did that.

How did they call out to the dead?

What did they say? Do you remember?

"If there's anybody here, come forward." Or something like,

"We command you to come forward" or something.

Did they literally use that term? Command? Command?

Yeah. Mmhm.

You never command the dead.

The only time you use that word

is if you're commanding them to leave.

Now Lance, tell Amy what happened to you.

They took me down in the basement and they were saying

"We command you to speak with us, we command you to come forward."

And then, I thought I passed out,

and when I got upstairs everyone was asking me

if I'm okay-- "Are you okay?"

And Jennifer told me that you were picked up,

straight up in the air and just thrown up against the wall.

Could this guy have done that?

Yes.

Like, that's something that somebody like this would do is torture.

I'm scared to death.

I-- I was scared before, but now I'm really petrified.

I'm afraid to even ask if you saw anything else, but did you?

I did.

The next person

is a female and to me

she's a big problem.

She affects the living

in many different ways.

She can be very physical.

I saw her, specifically,

opening doors and the other thing that she does--

she'll take the energy from the living to feed her own

energy to keep her self up.

And this will create fatigue.

She can also make the living feel sick.

There would be breathing issues.

Since I've moved here, my vitamin D keeps dropping

super low, and it's very serious.

So the nurse told me, "Well let's get your gallbladder checked",

and they-- it tested that it was only working 19%.

Now Lance, the rest of the family is sick, too, right?

Yeah. Chloe, our 17 year old, she has breathing problems.

Our two youngest ones feel sick to their stomach, headaches, exhaustion.

Wow.

Yeah, it seems like every week there's something new.

Now you say she is physical and can move things,

especially doors in the back?

Yes.

Emi said that she was sitting on her bed and her door was open,

but the door knob was moving, shaking.

Okay.

Now, you know, I'm not a big fan of video,

when it comes to this paranormal stuff, all right.

But Lance one night was home alone

and something was going on and he used his phone

to videotape what he was hearing in the kitchen.

Okay.

So, this is it-- I want you to look at it.

Now, I'm not sure if this is for real or not.

I'm just curious what you think of it.

Have you had physical phenomenon going on prior?

Uh, yeah.

I was in the kitchen,

and a knife just flew off the counter

and cut me right across the arm.

Interesting.

I've got a photo of it.

That would be more of

a poltergeist-type phenomenon

than a deceased...

Mm...individual.

All right. So, who do you think this woman was in life?

You get any kind of a sense?

She was just going on and on and on and on

about how her death was a mistake.

So, she's like, "I regret it, I regret it",

and so I'm thinking, you know, was she a suicide?

She died fairly recently.

I have a friend I just lost, she overdosed,

and she had a lot of family issues.

The point was, she was close to your family.

The kids called her Aunt Jackie, correct?

Yeah, well. We all loved her.

I've got a photo of her.

Is she the woman causing all the problems?

No, but she's here right now trying to warn you about this other woman.

What can this bad dead woman do?

She goes after you, first physically,

and then goes after you mentally.

She's kind of fixated on the man of the house.

Uh, she wants his acceptance,

and the big problem comes in

is that she's extremely jealous

of anyone who gets his attention.

So everybody here?

Yes.

And, when that happens she tries to lash out violently,

and when I went into the very back bedroom,

I saw something very

disturbing taking place there, which I did have sketched.

And this is the back bedroom? Yes.

That's Heidi's room.

Oh, my God.

Why is she going after her?

The reason why she would go latch on to her

is because I think she's a PK agent

which means she can create

poltergeist-like phenomena,

so that to a dead person is, like,

the Energizer bunny.

And she's jealous of her.

She kinda wants her out of the way.

Out of the way in what manner?

Like, get rid of her.

Like, if she died, she'd be ecstatic.

I don't want anything to happen to my kids-- nothing.

I don't want my kids to be terrorized.

I feel horrible.

I feel-- my heart hurts.

That's my baby.

She has so many health problems.

Someone help!

So Lance, you thought that woman that was here

was going after you, but now we know she's going after Heidi.

The big question is, can we get rid of it?

And have you, Heidi and the rest of the family

live here in a safe environment.

For that answer, I'm gonna turn it over to Amy.

First, let's deal with this guy.

A male medium

whose kinda a tough guy--

he needs to come in

and lead him outside.

He will then ban from the property, forever.

Second thing is the deceased woman.

The first step that needs to be done

is through a Reiki master

who is to sever the attachment between Heidi

and the deceased woman, okay?

Once that is accomplished, the male medium needs to step in,

and what he's going to do-- he's gonna have to force her out.

And this could get a volatile.

Uh, because I'm thinkin' she's probably not gonna really wanna go.

As for your daughter,

Heidi, she has PK abilities.

People with this type of an ability

are able to affect

their physical environments, okay?

With literally just their thoughts.

It's quite amazing.

Is that what caused the stuff on the video?

Yeah. Possibly, yes.

She needs tasks, like, doing yoga,

doing chi gong, tai chi,

doing meditation processes

so things like this,

where Heidi can release all of this energy

in a proper manner.

You look like you've both been hit with a Mac truck.

Ha, yeah. It's overwhelming.

Very overwhelming.

All right, so if they do all the things that you told them they need to do

which is a lot-- uh, will things dramatically change for them in the house?

Yes.

I think that the illnesses will subside greatly.

I think that Heidi, in particular,

will become much more focused
