We have seen on the previous lecture how to collaborate with your co-authors using comments

But, what if it is also possible to modify the received document and track the changes made

Meaning that you can modify, format or delete text

And also keep the original version on the same file

You only have to activate Track Changes command

Let's try to make some changes on this report here

We will modify this wrong value instead of giving only a comment next to it

The change is formatted in blue

And linked to a markup by side

You can modify the markup view options from the list here

No Markup options hides the marks

With Simple Markup, the changes are identified with a small red line

When choosing Original option, you will view the original revision of the document before your changes

Let's show All Markup

On the other side of the document

Your co-author can accept a change or reject it using these commands

Here, we will accept the change, and so the markup is no more available

Finally, the co-author can stop tracking by deactivating Track Changes command

And hide change tracking marks by choosing No Markup option
