[bird squawking]

- Whoo-hoo!

[birds squawk]

- Hi!

I'm A.J., and that's Blaze.

He's the fastest monster machine there is.

- Ha!

I bet I'm way faster than Blaze.

- Okay, Crusher.

How 'bout you and me have a race?

- A race? [scoffs]

See you around, slowpoke.

- Go, Blaze!

[upbeat rock music]

*

- Wow!

They're both really fast.

Ooh! Warnings signs.

They say, "Watch out. Road ends."

Road ends?

That doesn't sound good.

- Whoa, look out!

both: Whoa!

*

- [screaming]

- Whee!

- Whoo-hoo!

- [screaming, grunting]

[tires squeal]

- Phew.

- [screaming]

[groans]

- Whoo-hoo!

[trumpet fanfare]

- Whoa, look over there!

It's a giant castle.

- And look!

Here come trucks with shields and shiny suits of armor!

Who do you think they are?

Knights, yeah!

[majestic trumpet music]

- Wow!

- Knights in shining armor!

- Come on. Let's go check it out.

*

- Lord and lady trucks,

please welcome the bravest knights in all the land.

Let's hear it for the Purple Knight...

- Good day to you all.

- The Green Knight...

- Hello, everyone!

- The Yellow Knight...

- Thank you.

Thank you very much.

- And the White Knight!

- Huzzah!

Come, knights.

Let us practice using shields, lances,

and bows and arrows.

*

- Wow!

This must be where the knights go to train.

*

- Ha!

[cheers and applause]

*

- Not bad.

*

[cheers and applause]

- You there.

Could you toss me my bow?

- Yeah, sure!

*

[cheers and applause]

both: Whoo-hoo!

- Awesome!

- Whoa!

[muffled] A perfect shot.

Did you see that, Crusher?

- [scoffs] I can do that.

Watch.

Whoa!

[groaning]

[trumpet fanfare]

- Hear ye, hear ye.

- Hey, look. It's the king.

- Practice time is over.

I declare we begin the royal race!

*

These brave knights shall race across the land,

and the first to cross the finish line

wins the golden sword trophy.

all: Ooh!

- Most awesome!

- Verily.

Most awesome, indeed.

- Oh, I want that trophy so bad.

I've got to have that trophy.

- Hey, I have an idea, Crusher.

Let's you and me put on armor

and be knights.

Then we can race too.

- Oh, yeah!

And if you win, you'll get the golden sword trophy.

- [laughs] I'm gonna be a knight!

- Come on. Let's suit up.

*

Behold, I am Sir Blaze!

- Oh, yeah?

Now it's my turn.

Ow!

[frenzied music]

And I am Sir Crusher.

*

Hey, wait.

I can't see where I'm going!

[groans]

- Look, friends. Two more knights.

- Ah, welcome to the race!

- Indeed. - Best of luck.

- Thanks, everyone. Good luck to you too.

- Knights, on your marks...

[engines revving]

Get set...

Go!

[all cheering]

- * Start it up, hit the gas *

* It's time for us to roll *

* Let's drive super fast *

* Ready, set, let's go *

* Come on, come on *

* Live it up and hit the road *

* Blaze on, blaze on *

* Faster, faster, here we go *

* Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh *

* Blaze on, come on, blaze on *

* Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh *

* Blaze on, come on, blaze on *

* Blaze on

- What ho, Sir Blaze!

- Most excellent racing.

- Thanks, knights.

- Look yonder, fellow knights!

The race goes that way.

- Over that drawbridge.

- This way, everyone.

To the drawbridge!

*

- Uh-oh! It's going up.

- Whoa! - Watch out!

- I say!

Someone raised the drawbridge before we could cross it.

- But that is...cheating!

- [gasps] Who would do such a thing?

- I think we know who.

- It had to be...

both: Crusher!

- [giggles]

Hello, down there.

I locked the drawbridge up tight,

and you can't get in because I have the key!

[laughs]

[helmet clanks]

What?

Ahh!

- The key! - It's falling!

*

- Got it! - Hooray!

- Bravo!

- Fine catch, Sir Blaze!

- Now we just need some way

to get the key up into that lock.

- Leave that to me.

With this bow,

I can shoot the key into the lock just like an arrow.

Watch.

When I pull on the string, the bow bends.

Now it's storing potential energy.

That means the bow has energy inside,

energy that's waiting to come out

and shoot the key forward.

- Switching to visor view.

The keyhole is up there.

And the bow has enough potential energy

to shoot the key this far.

Is that far enough to get to the lock?

No.

That's not far enough.

We need more energy.

- I'd better pull harder.

The more I bend the bow,

the more potential energy it has.

Now will the key go in the lock?

No, it's still not far enough.

- You can do it, Sir Blaze.

- Just a wee more potential energy.

- If I shoot the key now,

will the key go in the lock?

Yes!

Release the energy!

Oh, yeah! - Perfect shot!

*

- Hooray! - Huzzah!

- Well done, Sir Blaze.

- You got the drawbridge down!

- Come on, knights!

Now we can all keep racing to the golden sword trophy!

[engine revving]

- Yay! - Huzzah!

- Onward!

- * Energy that's ready for action *

- * That's potential energy *

- * Store it up until you release it *

- * That's potential energy *

* Gets kinetic

* When you let it go

- * Go, go, go, go

- * Ready, ready, ready for action *

* We're building up energy *

* Ready, ready, ready for action *

* Gonna store that potential energy *

*

- Ahem.

* Ohhh

* There was a knight Sir Crusher *

* He was so hard to beat

* But not 'cause he was brave or true *

* But because he liked to cheat *

* And cheat and cheat and cheat *

* And cheat and cheat and cheat *

* And cheat and cheat and cheat *

* And cheat and cheat and cheat and cheat *

[musical car horn honking]

- Oh, no! It's...

Blaze!

- * And cheat and cheat and cheat *

* And cheat and cheat and cheat *

- Oh, I have to think of some way

to stop Blaze and those other knights.

[gasps]

I know! I could use these barrels.

[giggles]

So long, knights.

It's been a barrel of laughs!

[laughing]

Whah!

*

[groans]

- Blaze, look out!

*

- Phew! Oh, no!

Those barrels are headed for the other knights!

- Look out!

- Watch out!

- Sir Blaze, help! - Help us!

- Gaskets!

Our knight friends are stuck in the barrels.

We have to rescue them.

*

- Whoa!

- Listen, one of the knights is in that green barrel.

- Sir Blaze!

- Hang on!

I'll bust you out of there with my shield.

- Whoa!

Huzzah!

I'm free.

- Whoa!

- Sounds like there's another knight

inside one of those barrels.

- Sir Blaze to the rescue!

*

- Whoa!

- To save this knight,

we've got to figure out which barrel he's in.

- Sir Blaze, I'm in the biggest blue barrel.

- Which is the biggest blue barrel?

That one!

- Smash it, Blaze!

- Freedom!

- Whoa!

- Follow those barrels!

- Sir Blaze, I'm inside the smallest red barrel.

- Which is the smallest red barrel?

This one!

All right!

- Smashing!

Now there's only one more knight to rescue.

- Whoa!

- And he's in one of those barrels headed for the cliff!

- We've got to hurry!

A.J., give me some speed.

*

- Sir Blaze, I'm stuck in the medium yellow barrel.

- Which is the medium yellow barrel?

That one! Yeah!

*

All right! - Yeah!

- [groans]

I am most dizzy.

- Hooray! - Well done, Sir Blaze!

- Aye, a fine job.

- Thank you, knights.

Now follow me.

The golden sword trophy awaits.

- Charge!

*

- * Sir Crusher cheats and cheats and cheats *

* He knows so many ways

* But somehow he can't seem to beat *

* The brave and noble...

- Blaze!

*

Oh, how could this possibly get any worse?

[helmet clanks]

Whoa! Ah! Ahh!

Whaah!

[groans]

- * They're almost here *

- Oh!

What am I gonna do, Pickle?

How am I gonna stop a bunch of knights?

Wait a second...

I know exactly what'll stop knights.

[giggles]

Check out my...

fiery robot dragons!

[suspenseful music]

*

- Dear me!

Those sound like...

fiery robot dragons!

Retreat!

*

- This way, knights. Over here.

- Those dragons are everywhere.

- And we cannot finish the race with dragons in our way.

- Fear not, knights.

I have just the thing to stop those fiery dragons.

- Arrows? - Shields?

- A lance?

- Nope.

We're gonna stop them with...

water balloons!

The water from these water balloons

can put out their fire and stop the dragons.

all: Ah!

- Good thinking, Blaze.

Now you just need a machine

that can launch the water balloons really far.

You need a catapult.

- Come on!

Let's build the parts

and turn me into a catapult.

First, we need the bucket that holds our water balloons.

To make the bucket, say, "Bucket."

Bucket!

Great.

Now we need the beam that swings when you launch something.

To make the beam, say, "Beam."

Beam!

And now the most important part:

the bungee.

When the bungee stretches,

it stores the potential energy our catapult needs to launch.

To make the bungee, say, "Bungee."

Bungee!

Oh, yeah!

I'm a catapult monster machine!

*

- Sir Blaze, we've filled the water balloons.

- Aye, and they're ready to launch.

*

- Good work, knights.

Now let's go get those dragons.

- Yeah!

- Whoo-hoo! - Yeah!

- Good luck, Sir Blaze.

- Stretching the bungee.

- Now we've got potential energy and we're ready to launch.

*

[mechanical thumping]

- It sounds like the dragon is headed this way.

But I don't see it.

- Help us look for the dragon.

When you see the dragon,

say, "Dragon."

Dragon!

- Got it! - Whoo-hoo!

- Huzzah! - Hooray!

- Nice shot, Sir Blaze.

- Get ready.

Sounds like more dragons are on their way.

- Let's use our catapult to get 'em with the water balloons.

*

Whenever you see a dragon,

say, "Dragon."

both: Dragon!

Dragon!

Dragon!

- Whoo-hoo! - Awesome!

There's only one more fiery dragon.

*

- When you see the last dragon,

shout, "Dragon."

both: Dragon!

- Yeah! We got 'em all!

*

- Blaze, look!

Crusher's almost at the finish line.

- We've got to catch up.

Time for some blazing speed.

To give me blazing speed and go super fast,

say, "Let's blaze!"

both: Let's blaze!

*

- Hello, Sir Crusher.

- What? You again?

- Looks like it's time to find out who's faster

once and for all!

- Ha!

See you at the finish line, Sir Blaze!

[upbeat rock music]

*

- [giggles]

This ought to slow him down.

- Mud ball! Look out, Blaze!

- Not this time, Crusher.

- [giggles]

Oh, no.

Ick.

[musical car horn honking]

- And the winner of the royal race

is Sir Blaze!

[cheers]

- Yeah! - Yay!

- Whoo-hoo! - You did it, Blaze.

You won the royal race!

- Hooray! - You won!

- A well-earned victory, Sir Blaze.

- You're a true champion.

[trumpet fanfare]

- The king!

- It's the king!

- Hear ye, hear ye.

As the winner of the royal race, I present to you,

Sir Blaze, the golden sword trophy!

[cheers]

- Wow!

- Yay! - Whoo-hoo!

- And now, to celebrate,

let us eat...cake!

- Oh, I want a piece!

- Yum!

- Here, your majesty, let me cut that for you.

[cheers]

- [sobbing]

- * I know you're sad that you got beat *

* But hey, at least there's cake to eat *

- Cake?

Ooh, give me that.

[laughs] Ooh!

This is gonna be so good.

[helmet clanks]

What? Oh, not again.

Ah, ahh, ah!

Yuck.

*

- Mmm! Delicious!

- * It's Blaze and the Monster Machines *

* It's Blaze *

* And the Monster Machines

* Buckle up, gonna roll

* Yeah, we're ready to go with Blaze *

* You'll be amazed *

* It's Blaze *

* And the Monster Machines

* It's time *

* For adventure extreme

* Gonna kick it in gear

* We'll be catching some air with Blaze *
