[all cheering]

- Well, howdy, fellers.

- Whoa, you guys are race cars too.

- That's right. We're all revved up

and ready to race.

- Whoo, and did you guys see what we get if we win?

It's an ice trophy.

all: Whoa.

- It sure would be nice to win that.

- Come on, everybody. Let's get to the starting line.

[engines revving, tires squealing]

Hello, racing fans.

This is race car Pickle.

It's a beautiful day here at the Polar Derby.

The sun is sunny, the snow is snowy,

and the race track is...

uh...

race track-y.

[engine revs] - [scatting]

- Oh-ho, here comes one of our race cars now.

[engine revs]

Race car Crusher, tell me.

Who do you think is gonna win the Polar Derby?

- [blows raspberry] Well, obviously, I am.

- And who do you think is gonna take home the ice trophy?

- I am.

- And who do you think is gonna crash into a tree?

- I am.

[grunts]

- I--repeat the question.

[cheers] [engines revving]

[fanfare music]

are way ahead of us.

It's gonna take more than a snowball to stop us.

We just need a little blazing speed.

[both straining]

[all grumble]

Now we just have to find some way out of here.

- Hey, check this out.

An ice track.

- Oh!

This will get us back in the race.

- Yeah!

- Careful, guys. The ice track splits up ahead.

- It looks like one way keeps going

and one way leads to...

- [laughs] - A polar bear.

[all scream]

- Oh, man, we have got to stay away

from that polar bear.

[dramatic music]

- To keep away, which track should we take?

The purple track or the orange track?

- [groans]

- All right, we bear-ly got away.

[polar bear grumbles]

- [laughs]

- To stay away from that polar bear,

should we take the red track or the brown track?

[dramatic music]

- [groans]

- That polar bear can't get us.

- Watch out! It's another one!

- Now which track should we take?

The pink track or the green track?

[all cheering]

- We're doing it, guys.

We're almost out of the cave.

[bear grumbles] - But it sounds like

we've got to get past one more polar bear.

- Which track should we take?

The yellow track or the blue track?

[dramatic music]

- [groans]

All right! - We made it!

- We sure make a great team.

If we stick together,

nothing can stop us.

- [scatting]

Hello again, folks!

Race car Pickle here.

Coming to you live from the Polar Derby,

and boy, oh, boy, what a race we've had so far.

[horn honking]

Ooh, here comes one of the racers now.

[engine revs] [straining]

Crusher, it looks like you're in first place.

How does that make you feel?

- [chuckles] Great.

- And you're getting closer to the finish line.

How does that make you feel?

- Great!

- And you're about to drive

on super slippery ice.

How does that make you feel?

- Great!

Wait. Did you say,

[shouting]

couldn't get any more exciting,

Will they pass Crusher and take the lead?

- No, they will not pass Crusher and take the lead

because Crusher is gonna stop them with this.

[dramatic music]

An abominable blaster.

- [gasps]

[blaster beeping]

[blaster dings and thrums]

- Oh, my.

Crusher's machine seems to be blasting out snow.

[blaster dings and thrums]

And cheese.

[blaster dings and thrums]

And chocolate?

- Yeehaw! - Whee!

[tires squealing] - Oh!

Ah. - Uh-oh!

This bad.

[tires squealing] [both scream]

[engines rev, tires squeal]

- Hang on!

- Phew, that close.

- Thanks, fellers. If it weren't for you,

we'd have been squished flat. [blaster thrumming]

- Um, but, guys,

we've still gotta get past that machine.

- Man, everything it blasts out is enormous.

- Ah, stuff to big to smash.

- That's okay, Zeg.

We don't have to smash them away.

We can melt them.

- Huh? - Melt them?

- Yeah, melting is when something solid gets so hot

it turns into a liquid puddle.

- And I know the perfect machine for melting stuff.

A heat cannon.

A heat cannon can blast out hot air

and heat stuff up until it melts.

- Ooh! - Yeah.

- Zeg like.

- Come on. Help us build a heat cannon.

[upbeat music]

First, we need a heating element.

It warms up the air inside the cannon.

To make on, say "heating element."

Now we just need the fan blades.

They spin around really fast

and blow the hot air out of the cannon.

I'm a heat cannon race car!

[cannon powering up]

[cannon blowing]

[all cheer]

Time to get melted!

[engines revving]

- Get ready, y'all.

That machine looks like it's about to blast

a giant snowball!

[dramatic music]

- Uh-oh!

- Snow starts to melt

at a temperature of 1 degree Celsius.

- Help me use my heat cannon to warm that snowball up

to 1 degree. [cannon beeps]

Say "1 degree."

1 degree!

[cannon blowing]

- Yay!

- Nice melting, Blaze.

[upbeat music]

- Be careful. Now it's blasting out

a giant ball of chocolate!

- Chocolate starts to melt

at a higher temperature than snow.

[cannon blowing]

Now machine make big ball of cheese.

- Cheese starts to melt when it gets to 65 degrees.

- Come on, let's melt it.

[cannon blowing]

- Mmm, melty.

[engine revs, tires squeal]

- [gasps] Look, y'all.

That abominable blaster machine is just up ahead.

[blaster beeping] [blaster dings]

- Oh, boy... [blaster thrums]

But it just blasted out a giant ball of steel!

both: Whoa!

- Steel doesn't melt until it gets super hot.

We need to heat it all the way up to 1,370 degrees.

Quick. Say "1,370 degrees."

[cannon blowing]

I can't let that guy get across the ice bridges before me.

So maybe I could cheat and stop him.

[laughs] That's it.

[dramatic music]

- Come on, we've gotta get across this bridge

before it's too late.

[engines revving

[machine whirring]

- Rah. That sun machine

is hot on our tailpipes.

- We've only got nine seconds

to get across this bridge before it melts.

Help us get across in time.

[all shouting]

- We've only got seven seconds before the whole thing melts.

- But the super sun machine looks like it's getting

really, really hot.

[all screaming]

- We've only got five seconds to get across this last bridge.

- [shouting]

Ah, but I thought my super sun machine

was going to melt the ice bridges?

You know, like that.

Uh-oh.

[screaming]

[groans]

- Look.

There's the finish line.

[all cheering]
