The surplus water from the Baltic Sea makes the water flow to the north

and the tide turns both direction and strength of the current multiple times a day.

The Eastern European rivers flow into the Baltic Sea.

That water pushes itself up through Ørsesund.

Since the water in the rivers is fresh water, it causes the salt content to drop.

If it rains a lot, then the rivers grow large and then the salt content decreases.

That impacts the current because the fresh water moves above the saltier deeper water.

So the conditions from August 10ᵗʰ until

now impacts on where we should search?

time of the dogs' markings, for then we can calculate backwards.

If we look at the first marking, August 29ᵗʰ at 14.30.

We know the current is moving north, so that means the dogs are

reacting to something that is located in the southernmost part.

So the scent and the gases can move underwater for up to 2 km?
