Han Byul.

Han Byul!

Han Byul!

(Restricted Number)

This is Kang Ki Hyung.

Your boy is very pretty.

His eyes look exactly like his dad's.

You...

Dad?

Yes, Han Byul.

You're okay, right?

Yes.

When are you coming?

I met your friend here.

Han Byul.

Can I talk to him for a second?

Don't touch my kid.

I'm sure you received my gift.

How about it?

Do you want to start the deal now?

Why aren't you answering me?

Where’s your fighting spirit?

Don't touch my kid.

Look forward to it.

Things will get...

really fun now.

The Reaper has Han Byul.

Hae Won.

Sun Woo, Han Byul is missing.

I know. We're here now,

so don't worry. We'll find him soon.

All right.

I need your cooperation. A boy is missing.

It happened 40 minutes ago.

I need to check the security footage of the past hour from all floors.

Yes, sir.

Here, can we look at camera seven from the second floor?

Let's look at the next camera.

Camera nine.

Can you enlarge this screen?

Go to the next one.

Camera 15.

This is an emergency exit leading outside.

What happened?

I'm heading to the second floor. He went outside through an exit.

I'm heading that way too.

Han Byul!

Han Byul.

Are you all right? Did you get hurt?

No, but why are you here instead of Dad?

Han Byul!

Han Byul, are you all right?

Are you sure it was the Reaper?

What?

I was worried that Han Byul would have been startled.

I'm relieved to see he's all right.

He was looking forward to playing with you at home,

but now he's fast asleep.

Please look after Ki Hyung.

Of course I will.

Don't worry.

He had such a hard time before he got back into field...

after the explosion.

It was really hard for me to see him like that.

He constantly had nightmares at night for a whole year.

This stab wound was the fatal injury.

He died due to profuse bleeding in his abdominal artery.

This one is the carotid artery.

He was stabbed in his exact pressure point, even including...

his airway and throat.

How about the previous victims?

They have similar wounds.

They died due to bleeding in abdominal and carotid artery.

If you take a look at the wounds, you can see that he didn't hesitate,

causing clean fatal injuries.

By looking at how he uses his weapon...

and how he went for the exact pressure point,

you can see that he has surgical knowledge, skills,

and experience.

Has the Reaper really come back?

Aren't you going home?

No, I'm not finished with work yet.

I...

About Han Byul and your wife...

I will request a protection program for them to the superior office.

Yes, I think that will be a good idea.

How are you going to survive without me?

You can't even wear your tie by yourself.

Hae Won.

I'm sorry.

You've already said that so many times before.

I made this decision myself.

So, Ki Hyung.

Straighten your shoulders and cheer up.

Me too. Me too.

Team Manager Kang. Don't worry so much.

Please look after my family.

I'll treat them as if they're my family.

Based on Dong Young siblings',

we compared the suspect conditions.

When we consider his appearance,

he's about 178cm. He has a low and calm voice of 40s.

There's a high chance that he's a professional elite.

Among total of 310 copycat crimes,

12 suspects match crime file released to the press...

and match appearance.

Separate them by their occupations.

These three have professional jobs among them.

Find out what they've done lately.

Go Sung Jae was sentenced for seven years for sexual assault of...

a woman and attempted murder in 2010.

He was released on parole as a model prisoner two years ago.

He's currently teaching at his father's computer academy.

Park Sang Gu immigrated to Philippines three years ago.

It is unable to identify...

recent traces of Seo Jin Hwan.

When's the last record of Jin Hwan?

There's a record of him working for errand services...

Let's start with Go Sung Jin first.

Darn it.

- My goodness. - Stop.

- Don't come. - Help me.

Please.

- Don't come. - Save me please.

Hey, Go Sung Jin.

What?

What is this?

I didn't do it.

I really didn't do it.

We already found a trace of you visiting the website on...

Northwestern Serial Murder Case.

That's because I heard Reaper is back, so I was...

Then why did you run away?

I'm asking you why you ran away.

It's not him.

We found a video tape of him having sex with a runaway.

The time of record matches the time of the camp site incident.

See? I told you it wasn't me.

I'm from NCI.

He used to work here before, right?

No. Why do you ask?

Do you want me to find him?

Pay the deposit, and give us two days...

Find him now.

I'll give you a minute to find everything about Seo Jin Hwan.

Who is this guy?

Who do you think you are to...

It's Yong Chul's testimony.

I heard Yu Jin...

was holding her hands tight.

It must have been so painful...

that they tried to spread her fingers,

but they said they couldn't.

When I got up,

Yu Jin was...

Can you come to the center please?

It looks like Se Hyung has something to say.

Moong Chi, is everything okay?

Lately, I can't sleep, and I keep having bad thoughts.

Since when did that happen?

I think it started about a month ago.

I have to run.

Help me.

We beat Unhappiness.

Goodbye.

(Dolls Like Me)

Is this why you rushed every Saturday?

It was not a date?

Yes. I usually counsel victims.

Sometimes I do this.

I thought you have something to tell me, Se Hyung.

Mint candy.

Mint candy?

He smelled like mint candy.

It's raining so much.

You sped again.

You're not a car racer.

You didn't see me speeding. You were sleeping the whole time.

I didn't violate any...

Gyeonggi Province, Sungnam, Eunjang-gu, 15 Dajung street.

There's no matching address on GOPros.

Wait. That address...

That's near Jin Hwan's Seo Young studio.

He damaged the site even worse than before.

This time, he left the pendant...

and took the ring.

It's Jin Hwan.

Jin Hwan's photo studio...

is near here.

Team Manager Kang.

I think Jin Hwan was here the whole time.

Why are there photos of Yong Chul?

He wasn't keeping him alive.

He was looking for a chance to kill him.

What was that?

I'm sure the Reaper...

will try to make up for his mistake.

Yong Chul is in danger.

(Restricted number)

Hello?

How did you come here so fast?

Actually, I was staying near here since last night.

Eat up.

(Suspect Profile, Seo Jin Hwan, 37 years old)

Okay, I got him.

He's Seo Jin Hwan.

Stop. Stop!

Go!

Mister, mister! Hey!

- Stop! - Stop!

- Gosh. - Stop right there!

- Stop! - Stop!

- Stop! - Grab him!

Is Seo Jin Hwan the real culprit of the Northwestern Serial Murder case?

Is it true that there are more unknown victims?

How will you investigate this case?

A word please.

The NCI has...

found a suspect that fits the profile of the culprit...

of the Northwestern Serial Murder case.

After a chase, the police has arrested the culprit of...

the Northwestern Serial Murder case...

that drove people into fear near his house.

That man...

is the culprit who was arrested for his copycat crime.

It's been seven years.

What do you think I have done these last seven years?

Are you sure that he is the Reaper?

For now.

He matches 90 percent of the circumstances around the incident.

It there is 10 percent of truth that does not match,

what will you do?

What?

What are your parents like?

You would have been brought up in a good family,

who loved you and treated you preciously.

By normal standards, I would agree.

Normal standards?

I was nine when my house caught fire and my parents died.

People...

treated me...

like the most unfortunate person in the world.

In fact,

I was the happiest then.

My dad used to beat me up after he drank.

My mom used to get beaten up...

while trying to stop him from hitting me.

I had to watch all of that happen while hiding in the corner.

Every day, I felt like I was in an abyss.

Yu Jin is very similar to my mother.

That's why I wanted to marry her as soon as possible.

You made me unfortunate,

but I am happy.

I thought that was...

the best revenge on my parents who had made me like this.

You can't ever escape the abyss once you are there.

That's just the end.

Hyun Joon.

This was from Seo Jin Hwan's drawer.

We took basic examinations.

What is this? Is this genie's magic lamp?

I'll have a look.

I killed them all.

It was me from the start.

Are you...

the real Reaper?

I remember everything.

I committed my first murder...

on March 25, 2002, in Noeul Park.

A couple went into the forest.

But they won't come out.

The public telephone.

There was a public telephone.

I called the police.

I committed murder again.

Once,

twice,

three times.

If I keep doing it,

I'll get used to it, right?

- What's wrong? - It's not him.

We have finger prints, forensic examination,

pictures, and he knows about all the incidents...

and has the matching physical conditions.

And we even have his confession.

What more do you need?

He was talking about the third murder.

The Reaper started to report his murder on public phones...

since his fourth murder.

Are you saying that he's telling a lie?

He lowers his head,

bites his lips,

and scratches his hands.

These are signs of anxiety.

He looks afraid as if he's being chased by something.

What would make him afraid?

The Reaper was after...

your family.

Where are they now?

I don't know.

I don't...

Look at this and tell me.

Did the Reaper threaten you?

I...

It was the Reaper. The Reaper...

must have threatened his family.

He... He has my family.

He has my family.

He has my son. My son.

Please, I beg you. I'm sorry.

Save them. My son, my son...

Team Manager Kang,

I don't know what went wrong...

What is it?

I think we've been hacked.

What?

Tell me what happened.

The attack wasn't from outside.

Someone must have hacked into our program internally.

The flash drive.

The evidence we brought from Jin Hwan's.

Reaper gave Jin Hwan the flash drive on purpose.

Give me a second.

This is steganography.

It's a cipher technique...

that plants confidential information...

by encrypting it in an image or mp3 file.

The moment you click on it, it accesses the computer and hacks.

The Reaper came up with all this to break in to the protection program.

Let's try the vaccine program.

I'm already trying it.

Luckily, he didn't get into the protection program yet.

But if it's already planted, it's a matter of time until he breaks in.

The Reaper knew this all along.

That's why he used Jin Hwan as a trap.

We're missing something.

I'm sure.

What if he's been watching us all along?

Pardon? What do you mean?

Wait.

Se Hyung said something last time.

I thought you have something to tell me, Se Hyung.

Mint candy.

Mint candy?

He smelled like mint candy.

I heard...

Yu Jin was...

holding her hands tight.

It must have been so painful...

that they tried to spread her fingers,

but they said they couldn't.

They said they couldn't.

But they said they couldn't.

How did Yong Chul...

know Yu Jin's fingers were broken?

By that time,

Yong Chul was already stabbed by the Reaper so many times.

Even if he was conscious,

there's no way he would realize...

her fingers are broken, but why...

did Yong Chul say that?

As if he did that.

Now I know...

why he killed couples...

and said those things.

You made me unfortunate,

but I'm happy.

I thought this would be the best way to take revenge...

on my parents who had made me like this.

Aren't you curious about how I look?

Can you really capture the Reaper?

What if there's a 10 percent truth that doesn't match?

What are you going to do then?

You can't ever escape the abyss once you are there.

That's just the end.

Yong Chul...

is the Reaper.

My goodness.

What do you think, Ki Hyung?

Are you surprised now?

This is getting fun now.

Too bad for you.

If this video is playing, it means...

you're caught in a trap.

Do you see these people?

Their lives...

are up to you.

What do you say?

Will you come to rescue them?

Are you still confident that you won't regret?

Move. Didn't you see he was playing with me?

It's me whom he wants.

He's testing me over my family.

No. That's his trap.

Can't you see?

Team Manager Kang. This video was recorded 12 hours ago.

He will make you...

lose both your family and belief.

Yong Chul keeps getting rid of ways for me to track him down.

He's shockingly fast.

Stop.

Please look after my family.

I'll treat them as if they're my family.

This is Kang Ki Hyung. I think the Reaper is tracking your location.

He has his eyes on you.

I must know where you are right now.

Call me as soon as you hear this message.

I got the location.

I'll send it to you right away.

Call the ambulance. Ambulance.

- Team Manager Kang. - We have an injured.

We need an ambulance immediately.

An ambulance will be here soon. Please stay with me.

I'm sorry, Team Manager Kang.

Are Hae Won and Han Byul safe?

Yong Chul knows Hae Won's number.

What is Hae Won's number?

Team Manager Kang. I didn't tell him.

I didn't tell him.

It'd be faster for you...

to kill me than to make me say it.

You won't be able to...

get away from this pain so fast.

You must stay alive,

so that you can tell Ki Hyung.

His family...

Team Manager Kang.

I'm right here. I'm beside you.

I have...

something to say to you.

You probably didn't save the numbers under the NCI name.

Who knows?

It might be a speed dial to make it easy.

Hello? Seo Hae Won?

Sorry. Wrong number.

Hello? Seo Hae Won?

- Seo Hae Won... - Yes. That's me.

Oh, it's you.

Don't answer.

That's not me.

Sorry for frightening you.

I'm Jang Jin Won from NCI's Special Security Team.

There's been a problem.

The special agent who had been protecting you...

got murdered.

What?

What are you talking about?

Also, Ms. Seo.

I don't know how to tell you this,

but Team Manager Kang...

was also murdered.

After this call ends, do not call anyone.

And you must throw away the phone you are using right now.

It might have been tapped.

Do whatever you can to find another phone,

and call me.

Wait, please. Is Ki Hyung really...

Are you really sure?

I'm ashamed I have to tell you this.

I'm so sorry.

I'm sorry.

See you again.

Ms. Seo's heading...

towards the Reaper.

Please hang in there.

Team Manager Kang, I'm sorry.

I'm really...

We can't track Ms. Seo's phone. What do we do?

We'll find a way somehow.

We're connected.

Kim Yong Chul called Hae Won...

using an agent's phone.

He told her that I'm dead,

and that she's in danger.

We'll trace the phone right away.

Did you receive any calls from Ms. Seo?

No, Kim Yong Chul told Hae Won to abandon her phone,

and to call him with another phone.

Team Manager Kang, where are you?

I'll go to you right now.

Hae Won might call me.

Team Manager Kang,

please come to the office first.

Hae Won would at least try to confirm it.

How can she believe that I'm dead?

You have to remain calm.

She would believe Kim Yong Chul in the current situation.

He's always been a step ahead.

He could have found out...

where Ms. Seo is already.

Do you have any idea...

on where he could be?

I found it!

Kim Yong Chul is busily going around high rise buildings.

Where is that?

He's still in Seoul.

Captain, I'm sending you the coordinates right now.

Team Manager Kang.

Team Manager Kang.

Did he just hang up? What is this sound?

It's Team Manager Kang.

He's calling Kim Yong Chul.

(NCI Team Manager Kang Ki Hyung)

It's been a long time, Kang Ki Hyung.

Tell me where you are.

Oh, you're mad?

Don't worry.

I'll treat them...

very carefully.

Why? Is that too boring?

Hello?

Your silence is scaring me.

As far as I know,

Kang Ki Hyung never despairs.

Am I wrong?

I never despair just like you said.

Do you know why?

Because you're much more predictable than you think.

Right. There you go.

That sounds more like the Kang Ki Hyung I know.

You don't actually know where Hae Won is.

That's why you're making her find you.

Oh no, this is very disappointing.

Do I seem that lazy to you?

You're just putting on a show to prove...

you can overpower me.

You're saying I'm just a nobody putting on a dumb show?

Kim Yong Chul.

Your mother tried to protect you from your father.

But she couldn't.

That's why you hated her. Isn't that true?

After your mother died,

you started seeing all women...

as weaklings.

That's what you think!

I think differently.

When was it that you lit your house on fire,

and killed your parents?

Were you nine years old then?

That was just an accident.

I bet that incident...

was unbearable for you.

Who wrote that story for you?

It's not that interesting.

It's pretty boring actually.

Kim Yong Chul.

You're not simply...

a famous serial killer to me.

You're the Reaper.

I can promise you this.

We will study you.

We will not ignore you.

Why are you pretending to be so weak?

This is only the beginning.

Please, Kim Yong Chul.

Think again.

How about it?

Do you get it now?

Are you slowly realizing what true fear is?

You've never actually lived a proper life.

People you love, a home,

happy laughter...

That's why...

I want to take those things from you.

Why? Can't I?

Wait, who is this?

Hae Won has such a nice smile.

I'm sure she smells nice too.

But where is the cute boy?

I've found him.

Wait, wait.

Yes, Ms. Seo.

I'm here and waiting.

No, Ms. Seo.

Just leave the door open.

I'll go in right now.

Okay, I will.

Kang Ki Hyung,

I'm very sorry about this.

I think I have to get going.

Your beautiful wife...

is waiting for me.

Where do you think the Reaper...

will take Ms. Seo and Han Byul?

The Reaper is the type that always has to control his opponent.

That's why he made Ms. Seo go to him.

He wants to showcase his power to Team Manager Kang.

He'll probably take them...

to the place that will emotionally affect Team Manager Kang the most.

The place that will emotionally affect Team Manager Kang the most...

Wait.

What did Kim Yong Chul say on the phone earlier?

The door.

He told her to keep the door open.

The house.

Team Manager Kang's house.

The Reaper...

wants to take everything Team Manager Kang has.

Team Manager Kang.

Yes?

The Reaper is heading to your home.

I know.

Team Manager Kang.

The Reaper is calling you.

(Agent Kim Sang Soo)

Ki Hyung,

are you okay?

Of course.

I'm fine.

But why...

did the new agent say...

Ki Hyung.

Hae Won,

Kim Yong Chul is listening to our phone call, right?

Yes.

I'm sorry.

I just trusted him.

Hae Won,

I know it's going to be heard,

but don't let him see...

you being weak or scared.

Okay.

Don't be scared, Hae Won.

Did Kang Ki Hyung...

tell you about the deal he made with me?

The deal?

Don't listen to him, Hae Won.

He's only trying to make you mad.

So you should have told her instead!

Oh, I'm sorry.

Because of your arrogant ego,

your beautiful Hae Won will die soon,

along with your little boy.

What is he saying?

Ignore him.

Ignore him, Hae Won. Don't listen to him.

I trust you.

I'll trust you.

Hae Won,

Han Byul is next to you, right?

Tell him this.

I really need...

Han Byul's help in investigating this case.

Han Byul, did you hear that?

Come here. You have to say hello to your dad.

Hi, dad.

Hi, Han Byul.

Dad.

Is your friend a bad person?

Yes, Han Byul.

Listen.

You're going to solve a case...

with me.

I really need your help.

Do you understand what I'm saying?

Yes, don't worry dad.

Han Byul.

Can you hug...

your mother...

for me?

You know...

how much I love you, right?

Mom.

Han Byul, start.

Tick tock, tick tock.

Mom, I need to go now.

I'm investigating a case with Dad.

He's so cute.

I'll be good, Detective Kang Han Byul.

Honey, Ki Hyung.

Are you coming for me?

I'm so scared, Ki Hyung.

Hae Won,

I'm so sorry.

You don't need to apologize.

I was so happy with you. That's more than enough for me.

Han Byul would think so too.

You don't need to feel sorry for me.

Honey,

I...

I want to see you one last time.

But I probably won't.

So please tell Han Byul...

that I didn't leave him alone.

Promise me.

Promise me.

I promise, Hae Won.

I promise.

I will kill you...

and find your little son.

I will show him his dead parents...

and tell him...

that it's all his fault.

And then...

Die.

Die.

Die.

Team Manager Kang.

If you become swayed by people who don't deserve to live,

we become the same person.

Shoot me.

Shoot me.

What were you doing there?

I was investigating a case like you.

I'm a police officer.

Kang Han Byul, thank you for investigating the case with me.

I will always need your help.

I was investigating the case...

just like you told me to.

Well done.

Well done, Kang Han Byul.

Well done.

Han Byul, are you all right?

Hae Won.

Hae Won.

Hae Won.

Hae Won.

"I think that if the devil does not exist,"

"but man has created him,"

"he has created him in his own image and likeness.”"

Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

How are you going to survive without me?

You can't even wear your tie by yourself.

I'll be back.

You're good.

I think Han Byul is better.

This time, I'll put it here.

Like this.

Breaking news.

The culprit of the Seoul Northwestern Serial Murder case,

Kim Yong Chul, escaped from prison...

at 1am this morning, 15 days after his arrest.

He is said to have escaped while he was urgently being...

transferred to the hospital after he had attempted suicide.

(Criminal Minds)

Sometimes, it creates variants that are more vulnerable to infection.

It's a typical biological weapon.

Even inhaling it can result in a fatality rate of 95 percent.

Would the culprit feel excited...

while watching the victims die?

He might know the reason why.

We can't rule out the possibility...

that a foreign terrorist group was involved.

I won't let...

my team member die in front of me again.

We don't have much time left.

The world is going to change now.

We must not let him get away.
