It's where they feel comfortable.

Now, these horses have all shown an interest

in connecting with people, and that's a great sign.

So today, I wanna show all of you

how to turn that interest

and I've only been training him for about a month,

but in that short period of time,

we've been able to accomplish a lot.

So I'll show you a little bit about what we can do.

When Shadow first came along,

my horse Spartan and I, we were at a low place.

You know, Spartan was suffering from arthritis,

And so I threw myself into helping Shadow,

he was helping me.

Helping both of us.

And, as you'll see,

we straightened each other out.

When training a horse,

another horse can be a perfect helper.

Spartan trained Shadow just as much as I did.

He showed him leadership and guidance,

and, in turn, Shadow helped Spartan and I, too.

He gave us a new sense of purpose

and energy.

And that's how I was able to get to this point.
